Eurodam Cruise Review by vmarin01
- Sail Date: January 2015
- Destination: Eastern Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom
-Fast Embarkation and Debarkation due to being organized
-Nice Dining options, good food at the Lido Deck, Main Dining Room, Pinnacle Grill, Tamarind, and Canalletto.
-Awesome ports and excursions
-Room and Size of Balcony was roomy
-Ship is decorated nicely during the holidays
-Lots of seniors which made me feel young since it was my 50th birthday :)
-Cocktails are not that great, bartenders and cocktail waitresses just can't seem to get orders right
-Lido Deck buffet closes too early
-Casino needs more blackjack tables open, especially during the holidays like New Year's Eve. Slot selection was minimal, need more slot machines and variety.
-Bathtubs in the Verandah Balcony rooms were too small
-Need more cocktail waitresses and waiters out near the pools, we kept having to get up to go to the bar to order drinks and it took forever to get one. Carnival Cruises constantly has waiters roaming the area taking drink orders and that is really nice and convenient when you are lounging.
-Crew members are nice but could brush up on customer service skills, especially at the front desk.
-Would be nicer if we could stay at ports longer than several hours, we had to be back by 2:30 pm at 3 out of 4 ports
-Entertainment was okay, got tired of hearing the piano man at the piano bar
-Lots of seniors, which means lights out at 9 pm for most people. The ship was quiet, which can be a pro or a con depending on your mood.

We slept very well in this room and recommend it. We wish we had a larger tub though, it was rather small. Love the robes, we ended up taking two home with us for about $49, they are very soft and cozy! You can have them monogrammed for a small charge, but need to let your steward know 48 hours in advance, which we forgot to do. The mini fridge was convenient and the tv was nice and large unlike other ships we have been on.

SnorkelingI was too nervous to go in the water but my husband went in. The water was a little choppy that day and in deeper water, which I wasn't expecting-so I chickened out. People snorkled for about 20-30 minutes. Rum Runners were abundant and packed a punch!! Be careful drinking them:) We went out to the sand and lounged for a little while. It was beautiful! The catamaran was lots of fun whether or not you decide to snorkel. Highly recommend!View All 187 Snorkeling Reviews
Half Moon CayWe rented a clam shell and lounge chair, which we really didn't have to do because there were plenty of lounge chairs. I was worried it might be too hot so I rented the clam shell for about $20, better safe than sorry. The water is gorgeous, the beach is amazing. My husband went over to the pirate ship bar and brought back 2 mai tais which were delicious. We wish we could have stayed here longer as well. The times in the ports were not long enough for us.View All 1,180 Half Moon Cay Cruise Port Reviews

San JuanLoved this port!! We took a long walk and it rained but it was still fun! We ran into a Bodega and had a Mojito. We went by historic sites and stopped in at various stores. I got a great deal on a beach coverup and my husband got some t shirts that were great quality. Such a beautiful city, I want to go back!View All 3,767 San Juan Cruise Port Reviews

St. MaartenSo much fun! I wish we could have stayed longer. We took a water taxi over to a beach that was beautiful. There were people selling items on the beach, but not too pushy that we were able to still enjoy it. We bought a few necklaces and other items. I thought it was convenient since we didn't have much time at port and I didn't have to shop for souvenirs, I could just do that lounging on the beach.View All 4,728 St. Maarten Cruise Port Reviews
