This was my first cruise on Princess and from all the good things I have heard about them, I was very disappointed. The ship is older and needs to be updated. Hallways, twist and turn making it difficult for people with walkers or scooters. We had a mini-suite which was quite nice and ample for 3 of us. Ship was easy to negotiate, making it easy to get around and know where everything was very quickly. Cabin steward was very accommodating. Activities were lame, not many choices. Catered to much older and European crowd. Not a lot to do on sea days or no alternative plans on days at sea when it rained. My 20+ year old was quite bored on those days. Guest service staff was very helpful. Excursion desk was hardly ever open, so if you had an issue no one was ever there. Excursions were good, had one extremely bad tour guide on the ferry ride through the canal. Ferry was not handicap accessible, as we were travelling with someone that had mobility issues. It took 2 days of complaining and trying to talk to shore excursions to get something done, Princess did finally do something. Dining room for breakfast was a nightmare, the wait staff never got any orders right and were down right rude. My husband ordered an omelet and a it was wrong, instead of just getting the right food, the waiter said next time order it right. Dinner in the dining room was so much better, wait staff was attentive and food and choices were more than adequate. Sabatini's was wonderful. Entertainment was passable. Same entertainers more than once. No variety. Cruise director was boring. Been on many other cruises and cruise director and staff were so motivating and fun. At least her staff was fun. Photo prices were way out of line. I am a scrapbooker, they had no kits for sale, telling me that they were not delivered. Why should I suffer. Biggest pet peeve, coffee is readily available anywhere and at anytime. Went to International Café. I truly understand paying for specialty coffee's but they charged $1.25 for cup of coffee (regular or decaf) plus tax and tip. But everything food wise was at no charge. Having spent a lot of money for this trip, I felt that this was absolutely absurd. Spoke to a customer service rep at princess who couldn't care less.

Could have been better for the price.
