Celebrity Infinity Cruise Review by chilled57
- Sail Date: August 2015
- Destination: Alaska
- Cabin Type: Ocean View 6
The cabin was nice and we had enough room for our needs. We had an ocean view cabin on deck 3.
The ship is a bit tired and needs some work here and there. The Cellar masters bar is a nice place to chill out. The Rendevous is a bit dated and other areas could do with a spruce up but overall not too bad,
The activities were good, lots of variety and never bored. The service was good but at times it was average and here and there a bit below average and not as good as the service we had on the Millenium when we did the Far East cruise.
The excursions were amazing with heaps of choice from mild to adventurous, we went whale watching at Icy Strait and saw Orcas and Humpbacks. We went to Juneau and saw more Hump backs and one breached right out of the water it was an awesome sight. Some of the excursions were a bit badly organised and we were sent to three different parts of the port building on one, which was a nightmare as we ended up back at the boat in the end.
Dining in the MDR was average at best, food was not hit and some I couldn't eat. We complained and got an apology but to be honest the buffet was better. We booked Qsine and that wasn't great either. We felt a bit rushed and then found out that there was a staff party in there!!
We have completed the Celebrity survey and given our scores for the food and to be honest we will not be the only one's most were complaining.
The entertainment was fabulous with some really good shows and special guests. We bought a DVD of the cruise in review but the quality is poor and it is more of an advertisement for Celebrity than the previous one we bought, so wont be buying anymore of those.
Disembarkation was fine but there was a massive queue for taxis - we went off and hailed a cab on the main street.

Whale WatchingFantastic catamaran and crew, they worked really hard to find whales and boy did they find them!!! we ended up in the middle of a pod or two of Orcas, amazing they came close to the boat and there was an adult swimming with her calf. We were told point adolphus is a feeding ground and we just had an abundance. Wow ....View All 142 Whale Watching Reviews

The boat ride there and back was pretty cool too.View All 12,780 ATV EXCURSION Reviews
LiarsvilleWe did Liarsville after the White Pass Railway we thought this would be a good thing to do, my advice is don't bother, it was rushed and we felt like we were on a conveyor belt. Entertainment average, scruffy place, scruffy people, gold panning wasn't brilliant eitherView All 39 Liarsville Reviews
