Arriving at the port was easy and boarding the ship. The cabins were ready by 12.30hrs and we were able to have a very nice lunch in one of the dining rooms. Entertainment for the first four sea days was not up to the usual standard, there was no production show, but it did improve during the voyage. I think there may have been a problem overall with the entertainment staff, Trivia Questions were often repeated during the same day and until the end of the cruise much of the entertainment was lacklustre. Cory lead a Choir, which was fun to join and we sang songs from the Sound of Music at the end of the voyage. Food was good and the service excellent in the late sitting dining room. Hector the Mexican Head Waiter sang to us on a few nights and was great fun! Found the ship clean and tidy and the staff helpful. Enjoyed the ports and had a relaxing time. Something does need to be done about reservations of sun beds by the pool, by 8.00am they had all been taken but hours later no one had laid on them. This was very bad form as most of the passengers were British! We are experienced cruisers so arranged our own trips in the ports. Overall we had a great time and made some very nice new friends.

  • Barcelona
Used the ship's shuttle into the bottom of town and then used the cheap and clean underground to get us to the attractions we wanted to see. We pre booked tickets to Casa Batillo for the morning which was fantastic and well worth a visit. They give you a interactive IPad and earphones and you can look at the rooms then see on the IPad how they used to look. No waiting in line but try to get there by 10.00am. Next we went to Park Guell which has lots of Gaudi designed buildings. We booked this online for 1.30pm, book before you go or you may not get in. Reduced rates offered for students and seniors. Great day out at very little cost. Fantastic views from the top of the park over Barcelona as it is on a hill.

  • Prunelli Gorges
Was fine, but the guide talked all the time and even told us about red traffic lights as if we had never seen them before. The Gorges were not as exciting as I thought they might be. We have been to Corsica before so did not have great expectations for this port.

  • Florence & Pisa Tour
Able to go everywhere with minimal walking as we had 8 people in a van. Very hot day but had time to do it all and get back onboard to listen to the excellent Opera Singer.

Caught the local bus outside the port and went up the Cable Car to see the Apes. Then walked back into town. Very easy to do on your own.

6 of us had a van for a day tour of Aix, Cassis and Marseille. Very relaxed day and saw lots, also had a very nice lunch in Cassis. Marseille was much better than we expected.

Have been to Rome many times so wanted to do something different. We had a comfortable van for 8 people and went to Villa Adriana which belonged to Emperor Hadrian and then to Villa d'Este, where all the fountains are. We had a great day out.
