  3. Viking Europe
Our first trip to Europe & river cruise. We toured cities, two castles, three cathedrals, functioning windmills, saw the Black Forest & more. Fourth trip for the new Lofn longship. Smaller size meant we recognized staff & passengers. We made new friends to explore with. Perfect pace: meals, morning guided tours included, optional return to ship, afternoon optional paid guided tours or on-your-own in towns. Paid tours were FAR less expensive than ocean liners'. Excellent organization of departures on tours & disembarkation. EXCELLENT Staff provided itineraries, maps, advice, information, water and umbrellas. Sailed at night except for one- half day passing many castles & hillsides. Menus were very good; wine was average. The evening entertainment was music and a glass blower, not like ocean liners' productions. We would love to go again. Arrange your own stay on land! We paid too much for an additional two days in Amsterdam (hotel, two breakfasts, one guided walk & ride to the airport.) The Movenpick hotel was business-class, older, questionably clean in the shower & Silk Road restaurant. The food was average. Amsterdam is tourist friendly & easy to navagate. WATCH the bicycles, trains & cars!

Fantastic experience

Cabin Review

Cabin 201
Everything was brand new. The large bed was two singles made up together. Only room for one person to walk anywhere in the room & bath. Loved the double shower doors, swing in or out, and faux wood tiles throughout. Great temperature & lighting.
