Kris told me "if the staff are happy it makes the passengers happy which in turn makes me happy.
The only gripes I had were the almost invisible Senior Managers. The Captain was rarely seen and avoided any eye contact with passengers , commented upon by many. The Cruise Director was on his last cruise and it showed - could barely bring himself to speak. The only ones who communicated with the passengers were the Marketing Manager , Tony and the Finance guy, Yannis I believe his name is . We were invited to the helipad for some sort of Senior Officers Cocktail party. The Senior Officers stood in a group talking to each other and hardly mingled with the guests. Complete waste of time and effort for us to attend. Give this a very wide berth next time
My other gripe is some of the MAitre D's . I have worked as a Manager in the F & B industry and never seen Managers work like these guys. On more than one occasion we noticed staff struggling to cope with demand whilst the MAitre D's stood chatting in a group of 3 or 4. Contrast this with the Sunset Bar one afternoon when it suddenly got very busy and the staff were struggling to cope with the demand. The Bars Manager Kris, found out which products were running low and then he went and got some , meanwhile one of his Assistants ran behind the Bar and helped the BAr Staff prepare the drinks. And why oh why do the Maitre D's wear shirts that are far too small ?
As always the best thing is meeting a diverse multi-national set of fellow-passengers. We met two Canadians on the previous cruise and were delighted to hang around with them again this time. We met some great German people and some fantastic Canadians as well as Brits, Swiss , South Americans and of course the US.
We are booked again on same cruise 2016 & 2017. There will be 11 of us in 2017. Our 3 plus the 2 aforementioned Canadians plus 6 we met on this cruise.

AntiguaWe played golf at one of the worst courses I have ever played on, both in terms of layout and condition. To be fair I did get a refund for the 9 holes we didnt play as we had all had enough.View All 1,546 Antigua Cruise Port Reviews

CuracaoPlayed golf at Old Quarry Golf Course. I have been lucky enough to play many top courses due to my job (Sunningdale, Torrey Pines, Muirfield to name just a few) This course ranks up amongst them. Not cheap but worth every pennyView All 1,243 Curacao Cruise Port Reviews

Miamiembarkation was a joke. queued for almost 2 hours. No explanations were given but rumour was that there had been problems with the Port Authorities when the ship arrived earlier that morningView All 2,396 Miami Cruise Port Reviews
