Regal Princess Cruise Review by pturowska
- Sail Date: February 2015
- Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Since it's a large ship, the service lacked in some areas- particularly the bars (Vine & Crooners). It sometimes took 15 minutes before someone took our drink order. But the service in the dining room and specialty restaurant (Crown Grille) was perfect. I have food allergies and they went above and beyond to ensure my meal was perfect each time. The buffet always had a huge assortment of food to try and there's two parts to the buffet- a casual side (Horizon Court) and a more sophisticated side (Horizon Bistro). The food was great anywhere we went!
The Patter always had a lot of interesting activities so we never got bored, even with 2 sea days back to back. I recommend the Love Boat Deck Party towards the end of the cruise.
The crowds were sophisticated, mature and easy going. Everyone on board was very friendly. Not many children on the ship as I don't think there is much to do onboard for them. Overall, it was a very relaxing trip. We will definitely go on a Princess cruise again.

St. MaartenAfter St Thomas, St Maarten paled in comparison. It was still beautiful, but it serves a better purpose for shopping rather than taking in beautiful scenery. We independently took a $20 cab ride to Orient Beach on the French side but since it was very windy, we went back to Phillipsburg after a couple of hours. One thing I didn't like about St Maarten is I felt like I was constantly bombarded by people trying to sell me something and I had to pay to use restrooms. We spent the rest of the day shopping in downtown. If you're looking for gems/jewelry, stay clear of the stores the cruise lines recommend to you because trust me, they're not very good deals. You can easily find better deals on GIA certified diamonds and gems on eBay or even your local jeweler. We had the best experience (and got the best price) at Omni Jewelers.View All 4,729 St. Maarten Cruise Port Reviews
