Royal Caribbean International “Oasis of the sea from heaven to hell!” This was my and my friend first Cruise ever! We left from Fort Lauderdale on the 10th of January 2015. The first 3 days I can easily say I had the best time of my life! Things started going wrong on the fourth day when we went on a Shore Excursion booked and paid through Royal Caribbean Internationals It was to swim with Dolphins. Going on a Caribbean cruise and swimming with dolphins has been 2 of my life long dreams! Wow and I was going to achieve both of them, thanks to Royal Caribbean International! Unfortunately the organisation that run the Shore Excursion totally let us down by putting us in the wrong group so we never got to swim with the dolphins and this totally shattered me and my dreams! To be let down by the incompetence of this organisation. But to be fair to them they totally admitted responsibility and that it was their mistake and offered us a small refund straight away. When we got back on board we reported the incident straight away to Royal Caribbean International, expecting them to do the right thing and refund our money, which they totally refused to do! And to make things worse told us it was up to the other organisation to make amends and that they would talk to them to see what their decision would be! That was Royal Caribbean International first big mistake our contract was with Royal Caribbean International not the other organisation it was up to Royal Caribbean International to do the right thing, right there and then! Refund our money which my friend asked them to do, and again they totally refused. I was so upset with Royal Caribbean International because my friend had used his credit card to pay for the trip and I had paid my friend, so I had no legal say in the matter and had to keep out of the whole proceedings. This cause some friction between me and my friend because he allowed Royal Caribbean Internationals To draw the matter out not for one day! Or even 2 days but for 3 days! Every morning we would get up and start discussing the situation and things would start to get a bit heated, then it would turn into an argument, which totally ruined our last 3 days. Why was Royal Caribbean International leaving us to the mercy of this other small organisation who we never made a contract with, the contract was between ourselves and Royal Caribbean International. On the last day of our holiday Royal Caribbean International Decided to give us a total refund of what we paid to go on the Shore excursion! Why could they have not done this 3 days earlier? WHY Wreck our Cruise? This whole episode has had a disastrous effect on my friend and I, to the extent that we had a big argument at John F Kennedy airport and I was forced to transfer my seat Away from him to avoid any further altercation or conflict! We still have not talked to this day apart from him sending me quite a nasty e-mail which I am not going to respond to. So apart form Royal Caribbean International other despicable behaviour it looks like I have lost a very dear friend! I am looking for some advice on what to do regarding Royal Caribbean International as judging by their previous behaviour I don’t think they will talk to me because I wasn’t the person who booked the cruise! Please can somebody help me! Des
