We went with Royal Caribbean on our last cruise and the cruise was great! This cruise by comparison disappointed big time. First, they lost our bags so we had no change of clothes or toiletries until late in the evening. Next time I think I take the bags on myself if possible. The guy who cleaned our room who was very nice apologise but nothing offered for the inconvenience. Second, they messed up our table at dinner and left us standing there for about 10 minutes while trying to sort it out and then sat at us at another table for 15 minutes and gave us some water to sit there sipping while they attempted to sort us a table. The food at each dinner was ok but really not much better, if at all, than the buffet food that was offered. The service was average at best. The entertainment is sub standard. Don't get me wrong I expect the hard sell on a cruise but the ones I have been on previously had good entertainment to go along with that. Everything centered around them selling you something and the entertainment seemed an after thought. You are a captive audience so entertainment is pretty key. They would go through several long periods of nothing going on poolside not even music playing. They had different sporting events on the calendar but no announcements poolside and no one there when the different events kicked off (at least the ones we tried) except for the pool volleyball against the crew. Most were just cancelled. The Zumba kicked off late. Again no announcement and the woman showed up and left because the only one there was my girlfriend. The ship is nice enough but most are. The itinerary was good Bahamas and Key West. We planned para sailing through the cruise but the weather prevented it. Not the cruises fault but with everything else that went wrong it just added to the dissatisfaction. If everything else had been up to standard, it would have been ok. Disembarkation badly organised and we were delayed an hour getting off in Key West meaning we had a lot less time to explore the island and they also docked late. Good points are the cruise ship is decent but most are. The Captain is interactive and a laugh. As I said cruises are fun but this one disappointed for us and I wouldn't book with Celebrity again. When the cruise was almost over, I asked for a customer satisfaction card and the guy behind guest relations said you get an email. He didn't ask what was wrong or if I had any issues or if I was satisfied. I told him about the issues regardless. His comment "put it in the email." I think that sums it up. I have since put it in the email. Nothing further about my less than stellar review to the Constellation. All's I get from them is sales email. Why am I not surprised?!? Avoid!
