I have been on several cruises, this was my first and last with Carnival Cruise line! Never have I been so disappointed while on vacation. The only bright spot was our bar guy Allen from Philly. He was awesome! Price was reasonable, stateroom was clean, balcony was tiny, closet space was ample. Dined at our leisure (My time dining 5:45-9:30), first night in the dining room the wait staff was awful! Very disorganized, took over 2 hours before dessert was served. Second night seated in a differ section of dining room, staff was much better but the prime rib was not good. I have never seen beef with that texture. Lobster & shrimp were good. Third night, different section, staff was good, chateaubriand was a disappointment, baked potato was undercooked. Food from the buffet was not much better, every meal taken there was COLD! The best food I ate the entire trip was from the Mongolian Wok but waited 30-35 min in line. The Tandoori station was very good but what was listed as lentil stew was red beans. I called my room steward 4 times, three of those times the phone was never answered, 4th time the phone was answered with "on break, call room service." Shows were fun. Getting off the ship was a cluster! I have cruised several lines, this being my first with Carnival and I am sure it will be my last!

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

Was VERY disappointed with how Belize was presented my the staff while waiting for the tender. The staff told us not to leave the port unless we were on a Carnival excursion because of how unsafe the community is. If there is that much concern / that fearful for our safety, why even dock there? Not much to see, do, buy on the docks. Felt like it was a wasted day considering the beautiful beaches, reefs, and rainforests Belize offers. In my opinion, Carnival did not have as many excursions booked in Cozumel as they would have liked so tried to put the fear in folks to make up for it in Belize. Duty free prices were not as good as Cozumel.

Beach in Cozumel was fine. Wish I had paid a bit more attention to what cab fare should have been. The group I travel with got ripped off! Six ppl in my group paid $30.00 EACH (roundtrip) to a beach area roughly 15 min from port. There were a total of 9 in the taxi and we all paid the same price. Should have gone to Mr. Sanchos Prices were very good at the duty free shops.

Beach was BEAUTIFUL! I had wanted to experience a massage on the beach but the therapist were only there a very short time (maybe 1 1/2 hours). Never saw any hours posted but did talk to the coconut guy on the beach and he didn't know the hours either. Went for lunch, shopped a bit and when I came back he told me they had already come and gone.
