To start with the embarkation experience in the warehouse at Barbados was not good. it was very hot and very slow, it took the best part of an hour. And then to have no Heineken or coffee cooler is ridiculous from start of or throughout a 14 day cruise not encouraging especially as promoting both as offers !!!! there were bluebottle flys in the Meridian restaurant x3 and Java x1, Venitia x1 times Food was very good in quality Staff all over the ship polite but not as friendly as Princess staff Water and wine order waiters poor also trying to gain cheese order from plate whilst eating dessert x3 occasions!!! Not changing table covers between customers is poor and pepper salt breadcrumbs still present and drink/ sauce marks Not very competent nor speed of delivery of order in Java Not as much commercialism as Princes which is a good thing Italian - ridiculous as no booking possible but then you have to wait 45-60 mins even at 6:30-7:00 time. Again water serving poor. It is further poor that white shirt officers take precedence over fare paying customers/passengers re table sitting and food delivery. Great food beef fillet on larva slab and lasagne and all food excellent. Service again average and not as good as Princess Sindu service by Maritess excellent 1st to regularly replenish the water. Attentive etc Glass House superb wine tasting and taster menu with Olphy Ferrriera. Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. Cabin steward Hilda excellent Ship already a little tired after only 4 years, decor very 70’s other than Glass House and Sindhu
