Oasis of the Seas Cruise Review by novicetraveller
- Sail Date: September 2014
- Destination: Eastern Mediterranean
Dinner service was ok, but this is something I have experienced 3 times on the Allure of the Seas, so wasn't expecting a lot. I am starting to take the hint that the "Recommendation of what to eat" was pretty much rehearsed and not something that the table waiters would really recommend. I could be wrong, but it's no big deal.
There were a couple of days of rough seas around Italy, but nothing serious. It took me 3 days after the cruise for me to get used to being on land again.
Overall my experience on the cruise was good. The 2 excursions I took were ok (Olive Oil tasting in Rome and a visit to Capri, Sorrento and Pompeii). I will probably revisit Capri, Sorrento and Pompeii outside a cruise to spend more time there and explore the area fully.
The cruise director was ok (Drew). Reminded me of Joey from Friends, but without the personality. I would probably need to experience him as CD again before I can change my mind.
