Celebrity Equinox Cruise Review by Scott6428
- Sail Date: September 2014
- Destination: Mediterranean
- Cabin Type: Deluxe Veranda
The ship was in great shape, well designed never felt congested and any line was fairly short. I really liked the indoor solarium pool it was a good size and had two 'warm tubs' in the adults only area, although there were almost no kids on this cruise, it was mostly a gray hair tour :)
The staff were excellent, the main dinning room food was very good and the specialty dinning was excellent. I recommend the 3 restaurant package tour. If you only do one , make it Murano.
The buffet was disappointing compared to other cruises, choices were limited and quality was average.
Entertainment was disappointing for me, card tricks, violin and Beatles show not so great. The 'equinox' circ style show was very good however. Disappointingly there were no comedians on board but Paul the cruise director made up for it doing guest 'game shows' don't miss those in the smaller venue.
Embark and debark were quick and smooth, wish they were all like this. No customs at debark, I didn't realize and got off the ship earlier than I needed to.
I would cruise Celebrity again but RCI remains my top cruise line choice strange because celebrity is supposed to be the premium line but I didn't see it.
