Embarkation was disorganized, we arrived at @12:30. There was a huge crowd trying to get on two ships, the Spirit and the Zaandam. Both groups in the same line, very confusing. No signs directing people to the correct ship. A lady was taking people ahead of us so I asked why, she said she was trying to get Zaandam people on board. I said we were Zaandam and she said to follow her. We bypassed everyone to find no one in line at the Zaandam check-in counter. A sign directing people to the correct line would have been nice. The food in the Rotterdam dining room was so-so, not as good as the Celebrity Mercury, but the omelets at the Lido were great. Arthur working the Lido deck was great and always had a smile as he greeted you by name. The Pinnacle Grill was a major disappointment...they overcooked the steaks even when ordered medium rare or rare. The entertainment seemed aimed at an older crowd. As I am only 57, the music put me to sleep. The "Crows Nest" was nearly empty every night, no one was dancing. The "shows" in the theater were OK but not a lot of variety. On the whole, I have to say that the ship is very average.
