Viking Europe Cruise Review by ilasik
- Sail Date: June 2013
- Destination: France
- Cabin Type: Deluxe Stateroom with Large Window
We received the most wonderfully warm welcome from everyone. Our cabin was smallish but surprisingly comfortable with tons of drawers and hanging space. The bathroom had a medicine cabinet which was so convenient as we usually have to balance multiple toiletries on the sink. L'Occitane toiletries are a nice touch.
We thought chef Benjamin did a terrific job with his cooking. He had a couple of misses but many many hits. And they did change the wine for dinner for at least 4 or 5 evenings with some very good selections.
We took all the tours -included and optional. They ranged from pretty good to great. The staff at the restaurant was just unbelievable, like the level you get in top NYC restaurants. The rooms were cleaned spotlessly. Met a bunch of lovely people who have done many of these cruises. My husband and I had actually paid for our next Viking cruise (to Bordeaux) before even going on this one. Now we can't wait till 2014
