This ship is not for everybody. I do not recommend this cruise for people who don't like crowds (usually military, law enforcement, etc). Their were 5500 people on this ship, not including the help. There are two small pools that are always packed and people leave their towels on the chairs for hours. Even though a sign is posted, towels will be removed after 30 minutes, they never were. If you want a chair by the pool, recommend going at 7:30 am. Their were always long lines for restaurants. Dinner at the nicer restaurants was excellent. However, recommend you make reservations at these restaurants as soon as you book the trip, otherwise you will be waiting 20-30 minutes to be seated. We tried making reservations a couple of weeks prior to the cruise, but had to settle for an early seatting, which made it difficult on days we were in port. In regards to shore excursions, book them as soon as you can. Many sold out quickly. The snorkeling in St Maarten was fantastic and we had so much fun, but the city tour in Puerto Rico was okay. The guide basically drove around and parked three times and said you have 15 minutes to explore the area. I would call it more of a drive-by. You will pay approximately $17 a day for tips and they also automatically charge a tip to your drink bill if you did not get the drink package. Make sure you read your receipts! They charge you a tip and then at the bottom of the receipt they request an additional tip. Some people think this is the tip. The room was nice and clean. Housekeeping was there everyday to keep it tidy. We booked the cruise shuttle from the airport to the ship. After waiting for over an hour, we finally got on the bus. You can Uber it and it is cheaper. Even though we had to wait, it was nice to have the bags put on the bus and not have to deal with them again until we got to our cabin. Recommend only tipping the bus driver $1-2 and leave some extra for the porter. He is the one to make sure it gets on the ship. Are bags arrived safely in our cabin. The embarkation was smooth and fairly quick. You can't enter your rooms until after a set time (can't remember), recommend packing a pair of shorts and flip flops in your carry-on bag to change into as soon as you get onto the ship (only if your coming from the frozen tundra and still wearing jeans). Also, recommend you book your shows on the ship right away. You get early seating and a guarantee you can all sit together. It's okay if you do not have a reservation, but some shows fill up quickly and it is hard to get a seat together. Read Less

The ship is really big and over all a good experience. Good food, specialy on the windjammer, jamie oliver and sorettos pizza. Also good food on labadee , the cruiselines own Island. Labadee is a tropic paradise, but not autentic haiti ofcourse. The port of falmouth and conzumel is nothing. Its just a tourist trap of diamond shops and ugly soveniers. We whent on a snorkling trip with fury in conzumel witch was nice. The ship could do much more for the youngsters. We traveld with a 15 and a 10 year old. Activity looks nice on paper but its best for small english speaking children. SPA... what to say... i go to the spa to get a treatment that i have booked.. i pay the expensive price, on harmony you get a great treatment, BUT THE EXPERIENCE IS TOTALY RUINED BY THE PUSHY STAFF WHO DESPERAT TRYING TO GET YOU TO BUY LOADS OF PRODUCTS TO CRAZY PRICES... not ok at ALL !! Cabin was imaculate with great staff, we had a ocean view cabin with balcony. The fitness area could have much better facilatys with free weigths, kettelbells, rubbers fitnessballs and so on. We began using rcl several years ago and left carnival due to their focus on youth and babies, which is understandable. Obviously, as over 70 years of age, we outgrew them. For several of the rcl cruises through the years it seemed to be a limited number of younger couples with children under 5 and babies. This last cruise had more babies in strollers than any rcl cruise to date. We understand the need for the younger cruisers, but it should not take away from the few perks of the senior vip cruisers. Our problem as diamond cruisers and seniors was the lack of privacy in places supposedly for over 18 years of age, such as the solarium area. These parents brought there babies into that area as well as any of the specialty restaurants such as chops, total destroying the little bit of peace, tranquility and ambiance we were paying for. It would have been nice to have had a little of that in the chops dining room, since we paid about 50.00 each for the experience.but when 3 couples came in with at least one baby each, and talking very loud to each other destroyed whatever ambience we had expected. We might as well have eaten in the windjammer buffet! It would be nice if the ship would restrict these areas to no children or babies under 5, lets say after 630 pm! The ship is beautiful, the internet is the best at sea, imho. The entertainment was fair to meddling as columbus made no sense, the acapella group was so-so but the remainder such as the aqua show were wonderful. Read Less

We cruised with our 20 year old twins, in separate oceanview balcony cabins. The staterooms were wonderful for 2 people with plenty of storage and closet space. The bathroom and shower were tiny, but was to be expected on a ship. The ship itself was beautiful and maintained very well. We spent a lot of time on board in several of the bars and enjoyed them all. The outer decks by the pools were extremely crowded, think a New Jersey beach, even in the adult only area. We were extremely disappointed in the amount of kids that were consistently in the adult only area. Was hoping for it to be relaxing and quiet as I tended to spend a lot of my day time on the ship in the Solarium area. Bartenders and servers were wonderful, even got one of the pool bars to stock the brand of bourbon I prefer so I didn't have to travel far for a drink. Food and service in the main dining room was fantastic as expected. We booked a private tour in Falmouth and had a great day. Labadee was OK, beach was beautiful but the food was just OK, wish we would have eaten on the ship. Overall it was a wonderful vacation, with lots of activities on the ship, but too many kids running around with little to no parental supervision for our taste. Read Less

Our friends wanted to experience one of the mega ships with all the amenities they have available. The ship itself was beautiful and my husband enjoyed all the activities, participating in a lot of the sports and venues offered. He even won a second place soccer competition medal! The gym and walking/running track were nice as was the spa. Our steward was wonderful and we enjoyed all the ports we went to. Our balcony cabin was a nice size with a balcony I enjoyed a lot. We chose to go on a mega ship so its our fault that we found it crowded and noisy at all times. This ship is geared toward families of all ages, lots to do for kids and teens. The food in the Windjammer is mediocre with much repetition. The shops are either very high end or offer not much of anything. The pools are full of people, I never saw anyone swim. I learned early on that all walkways would have people not interested in sharing the space. RCI has squeezing that very. last. penny out of you down to a science. If you aren't in a suite and paying for extra restaurants every night, you are definitely second class with them. On the second cruise, a back to back, RCI managed to lose my information and sent me a nasty letter telling me to come pay up immediately or they'd lock me out of my cabin. I think my husband would have let me in but you never know! Despite taking my picture, leading me to customs, having all the info from both me and from my travel agent, they booted coming up with it. They never did get their glitches quite straightened out and that was a literal headache. Read Less

We decided to try a very large ship after being on the smaller to medium sized ships. The largest ship previously was the Liberty of the Seas. We had some issues with our hotel (Days Inn) and taxi ride to the pier but were able to get on the ship very easily. Although the ship is very large, it was not very difficult to navigate except for Deck 6 which does not go across the ship at all. Thus you need to know how to get to the Schooner Bar and Boardwalk but it only took 1-2 mistakes before learning. The elevators were very crowded on the first and last days but rarely in between. Our balcony cabin on deck 9 was wonderful and roomy with plenty of storage space. Our cabin steward was great though we have been used to meeting on day one and we did not meet until day two. Though we were near Dazzles, we never heard much noise. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the menu choices over the balance of the cruise were pleasantly surprising in that they contained items that are also served in the specialty restaurants. We were a bit disappointed that there were items that had a surcharge and that roughly 75% of the menu was the same each day. However, with over 6000 passengers, I guess they have to do it that way. Service was mostly excellent though on one day the service was very slow and it took over 2 hours to eat. We had "my time" dining which allowed us the flexibility we wanted. The Windjammer was very good for breakfast but we didn't discover crepes and eggs prepared as you want them (in the back area) until the next to last day. We loved the Park Cafe and Solarium bistro as a nice change and enjoyed a free breakfast at Johnny Rockets. We also had a great meal in Chops- which is always excellent. The ship has multiple activities for kids of all ages and adults and the shows are held at multiple times and days though only one was before 5 PM. The pools were very crowded and you may not get a chair near where you want unless you are a very early bird or are very lucky. This could be a concern for those with small children. The mini-golf, zip-line and basketball courts were rarely crowded and the lines for the water slides and Abyss moved fairly quickly. There are also multiple club areas to visit at night. We especially enjoyed Dazzles Decks 8&9- though it is loud) and the Jazz Club on Deck 4. We did not like that the ship charges for popcorn at the shows and the cost of the arcade games ($2-2.50 each) are too expensive and can really add up very quickly. The soft serve ice cream (free) was great. The shows- especially Grease- were first class and highly enjoyable. The stars of Grease also held a concert in Dazzles one night and there was an informal talk in the Jazz Club one morning. The Captain and crew were very entertaining as well. There were popular theme nights activities on the Promenade and a parade featuring the major holidays held twice during our voyage. We enjoyed the ports but mainly because we stayed on the ship where we had almost full run of the pools, etc. with no crowds. We did take the ferry in Phillipsburg but all there was on the other side was a beach and more shopping. We do not believe that you get any bargains in the Caribbean- no matter how much they push it. We took a nice tour in Labadee (Labadee Traditions) where we learned about their culture and lifestyle. Otherwise, we were disappointed that there were "tours" on Labadee that charged you to go to a beach or child's play park. Of course, you can walk to the more rocky beaches for free. We were also shocked that they charged (a lot) for a tour of the bridge or a tour behind the scenes. Disembarkation was slowed by the Govt shutdown as some customs agents were not working so it took almost 3 hours to get through. At least we were not in any hurry. While I have no qualms about trying a mega-ship again, my wife felt there is just too much walking that has to be done to get from place to place. Maybe when her knees are better, she will feel differently. The smaller ships offer a nicer intimacy that this ship cannot quite match. However, if you have a family trip planned, you cannot beat a ship like the Harmony We will be making a family trip on the Allure soon. However, we are disappointed that RCL will no longer have the Dreamworks characters. We feel this is a mistake on their part. The kids we saw enjoyed meeting the characters and getting their faces painted. We hope that, at least, can continue. Read Less

We chose this cruise because we wanted to go on the Harmony of the Seas. We have traveled to the Eastern Caribbean many times and enjoy the ports. While on this cruise our friends celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Royal Caribbean provided a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for the occasion. We are Diamond members of C & A and truly enjoy the nightly get togethers for drinks. We enjoy meeting people and have made some great friends in the lounge that we continue to stay in touch with. There is one thing I don't quite understand about the DL. We enjoy Bourbon. Plain old Bourbon. There is not a single Bourbon on the drink list for the DL. The bartenders say we have Jack Daniels, Jack Daniels is not Bourbon. The dining room (American Icon) staff was exceptional, although we would have preferred to have been assigned the Grande dining room. We did self disembark due to an early flight and it went well. We had not been on Royal before and my sister wanted to try something other than NCL. We have read a lot of glowing reviews of Royal & Harmony so we decided to go for it. There were 11 of us ranging from 20 – 55. The ship is gorgeous and I loved the neighborhoods. It is well maintained. Perhaps we had too high expectations, but we weren’t impressed. Bar staff seemed to not care one bit. Trellis bar staff were outright rude, Vintages served us drinks and then left with our cards and never came back. The drinks weren’t really that good. I am a mimosa fan and they were awful. The bars did not open early enough in the AM to get a morning cocktail such as a mimosa. I am a Bingo fan and you couldn’t even get a cocktail while playing because the bar wasn’t open. Also what’s up with electronic bingo? It just wasn’t for me and I usually throw down a god bit of money to play Bingo. Most shows were impossible to get reservations for and the same goes for the upcharge dining venues. The restaurants are too small for the amount of passengers on the ship. Sabor was the only exception and it is outdoor and VERY loud. 150 Central park was good, but not impressive. The tuna tartare had no flavor. The salts were fun to try though. Wonderland was truly an amazing experience with fabulous food. The rest of the food ranged from bad to good, mostly just okay. I have to say I loved our dining staff Mimi & Dan! They made the 2- 2 ½ hour dinners so much fun! Loudness was a major complaint on this ship. My 20 year old who designs speakers said he thinks he now has hearing loss because the volume was WAY TOO LOUD! We tried the parties in the promenade, Solarium, Schooner bar, Dazzles, etc they were all just too loud so we left. Solarium is a great idea, but what’s with all the shade? Getting a spot was nearly impossible if you got there after 9am. It is just too small for the amount of passengers on the ship. It would have been nice if parents had actually adhered to the adults only rule. We have done 3 cruises in the last year on 3 different lines so I can’t help but compare them. Maybe the big Oasis class ships aren’t for me or maybe Royal isn’t for me or maybe I expected a lot and came out disappointed because I expected too much. Either way the cruise wasn’t horrible, just lackluster. I plan to try one of their smaller ships and give Royal a second try as it wasn’t all bad. Read Less

We did, as we have done before, a modified back to back cruise- New Years week on the Edge and the second week on The Harmony of the Seas. We had problems getting a cab from the Edge pier to the Harmony pier- we also had a bad cab driver who took us to the wrong place-I think he did it on purpose to avoid the crowds. Should have reported him but didn't take his number. Since we have previously been on this ship we knew what to expect. The ship is as beautiful as ever. Public rooms great-On our bucket list was to try a Crown loft suite. It didn't disappoint! Huge with two full bathrooms , loads of storage and a view to die for! Two stores bedroom on upper level. We had seen the suite on youtube and it didn't disappoint. The service was excellent and our cabin attendents were great. We had a great location, overlooking the ocean and on the 17th deck near the suite lounge and restaurant. The suite concierges, Jerimia and Checkers were great- They helped secure our dining and cabana reservations. With a suite, it isn't necessary to make show reservations, they reserve an area at each show for suite guest- this is for Grand suite and above. The dining was very good- enjoyed breakfast every morning in the suite restaurant- Lunch we had a couple of times at Johnny Rockets which was an extra charge restaurant- but my DH really enjoys the junk food- you can get a decent salad their also. You can dine at JR for breakfast- for free and get a nice omelet if you want as the buffet didn't have an omelet station. But the suite restaurant did. We enjoyed th hibatchi experience at Izumi. Since it is very limited, reserve before the cruise so as not to miss out. If you come with children a must. We didn't dine at the park cafe this cruise, but nice to be able to get a sandwich or salad and a good option if you don't was to go to the restaurant or buffet-for lunch or breakfast. We also enjoyed dinner at Chops Grille and Jamie's Italian. Didn't go to the others this trip. But Chops and Jamie's our favorites. The entertainment is a 10 plus. Grease was broadway quality as was Columbus the Musical. The Aqua and Ice skating shows were fabulous. The adult comedian at the Attic was so funny! So much entertainment all over the ship and nightly something great in the promenade- such talent on this ship. We didn't go into the casino- unfortunately had to walk through it a few times. It was horrible- so smokey If you do not smoke or are afraid of second had smoke, try to avoid. Royal do what Celebrity has done a do not allow smoking in the Casino. Used the spa for wash and blow twice- services ok- not as good as Celebrity. We didn't go on any cruise sponsored shore x's this cruise- did our own thing. Enjoyed the beach at Labadee and our cabana. However, my husband got a weird bite either at the cabin or in the water. I recommend deet and wear water shoes especially for the kids. Overall the ship was beautiful, and we had a great time. Booked again- but not a crown loft! Read Less

We are seasoned cruisers and I decided to try one of the mega ships as a change. We thought there would be problems with so many people on board, but we were very surprised. At now time, with only exception being the disembarkation, you never felt like 6000 people were on this ship. This is a fun ship, with a lot of selections for dinner, entertainment and fun. You must book your dining and entertainment via the online system ahead of time, and especially pay attention to the discount offers via email , they were very legit. I selected the BOGO dinner for two nights for $45 a person. We got to eat at Wonderland,( $59 each ) and the next night at Central Park ( $49 each) . So we saved over $100 and had the most wonderful dining experience on a cruise ship. Wonderland is a must, but they do not tell you that you also get entrees in addtion to the five appetizers and dessert for the $59. We were stuffed leaving that restaurant. Our cabin had plenty of room and storage for a cruise cabin, and we had a bed next to the balcony . But the bed was hard and once we told our room steward she put on a duvet and feather pillows and it was extremely comfortable. No one will tell you this secret. Also we always had ice as requested and we were very lucky in having a top steward for our room. The ship is a real adventure with the promenade area, central park with its beautiful gardens, , outdoor rock climbing, water shows , ice shows and broadway. The comedians were really good and extremely funny. The jazz was so so. We also bought our internet package before and got a discount. The Casino is very large for a cruise, but very smoky, and don't plan on winning a jackpot. We waited till at least one hour after the port opened to avoid the crowds. There is no reason to stand in a line when the doors first open, unless you have to. Another pet peeve has been elevator wait time on cruise ships. On this ship there is no worry, there are plenty of well timed elevators and we never waited more than 10-15 seconds. If you are going to book this cruise, take advantage of all the email offers, as it saves a lot of money to book prior to leaving. Read Less

The Harmony (Jan 2019) was in much better shape than the Allure (Jan 2018). I really did not see anything that made me say this is disgusting and needs to be replaced as I did all over the place on Allure last year. Now Allure may have gotten updates since then, but the Harmony was practically flawless for us. The main dining room food was good. The windjammer food was good. Mini bites food was good. Ice-cream was good. Nothing really jumped out at me like wow, but it was all fine I thought. My wife says it was just OK, not bad, but not good. Chops food I thought was great. I wanted to go to other specialty restaurants and Johnny Rockets, but there was only so much time. Our room location was the absolute best ever, aside from last year when we got upgraded from a Jr Suite to a two-bedroom suite, but that looks like it will never happen again with Royal offering paid upgrades before the cruise. Still this room location was better. We were on deck six aft port side right behind the boardwalk. We had the ocean view balcony. It was a 30 second walk on the same floor to get to the board walk for a dog or a drink. Same to just get a drink in the Schooner bar. Down one level to be on the promenade. Up two levels to be in central park. I can not say how perfect this location was to be on the back of the ship and down low. You go straight up the elevators to windjammer. You go down one level to be in the main dining. We had a large group with us and four in the group were on the same floor in the same area and they all said the same thing. On an Oasis class ship that is the location to be in. One in our group was our travel agent, who of course has done many many many cruises as they are usually free for her and she kept saying that this was the best location she has been in. I was worried about being so low and in the back with engine/mechanical noise, but there was none. It was very nice to be on the lowest floor balcony and be that much closer to the water. I thought the balcony view rooms had just what you needed, plenty of hanging space, I counted 28 hangers. Plenty of drawer and shelf space. The bathroom was just enough space. We like the layout with the bed by the balcony so that couch and floor space is by the bathroom, so there seems to be more floor space when you are getting dressed without the bed dividing the room in half. We both thought the cabin to be in perfect shape and my wife said this was the first time she did not feel the need to immediately clean everything. The room steward, Courtney, did a fantastic job. I even forgot my phone cable, it uses a USB-C cable and everything else we have uses the ‘normal’ usb mini plug. Courtney asked our neighbors to borrow one so I could get my phone charged up until we got off at our first port and I could be ripped off buying a cable there. Hey, I needed the cable to take pictures and text with others on board. First shop I found the cable they wanted $40 for the cable and I just walked out with them following be “but wait” I said there is not any reason to even negotiate with you, you are just trying to totally rip me off. We found a cable in the convenience store right at the dock in St. Martin for $13.99. I told Royal Caribbean they should have all the different cable in the photos area as they sell cameras and accessories there or in ship store, and they could make some good money on them. Also, a side note, they should sell beer and cup Royal Caribbean cozies at all the bars and they would make a killing on those. Have them that fit the beer pints, and bottle, and glasses. I digress. I would have preferred to be on the Starboard side of the ship for this cruise, but every cruise and itinerary is different. Our first two days at sea we had no sun on our balcony, and actually we never had sun on our balcony until the very last day at sea when we were heading north. My wife would rather sun on the balcony most of the time without the chaos of the sun decks, but we do also relax on the sun decks. In St. Martin we faced the other ship across the dock. Had we been on the starboard we would have faced the island. In San Juan it was fine, we faced the main channel coming in to San Juan. In Labadee we faced the sea, if we were on the starboard side, we would have faced the island. So, on this itinerary I would have preferred to be on the Starboard, mainly for the sun. When in port, the view does not matter as much as you should be off the ship or enjoying the ship itself when it is empty. I don’t want to go into ship details as there are plenty of those reviews around. The Harmony is a great ship. Plenty to do. Plenty of places to do nothing. As is said it is a huge ship, but you never feel like it is crowded, except events on the promenade. Great time. Great ship. Good value. Did Allure last year. Harmony this year. Would do Royal Caribbean again without a thought. I really do like the mega ships. Read Less

This was my fourth Royal Cruise and one of my favorites. The size of the ship allowed for an easy flow of people and the only time I really experienced a crowd was when we embarked on the first day. It was also nice having a larger ship because that meant I hardly felt the motion of the ocean. There were lots of opportunities to find things to do either on a sea day or port day. On sea days there are multiple quizzes and games in the Schooner Bar, the escape room or other physical actives (like the rock wall, zip line and mini golf). There are also the pools, which my wife and I didn’t really spend any time at. I may not have made it to all the shows, as there are so many; however, I made it to most of them. From karaoke competitions to the Battle of the Sexes to the shows that require reservations, I wasn’t ever bored. There were lots of delicious places to stop, but one of my favorite places is Park Café where I was able to enjoy my roast beef sandwiches. I also like the main dining room. I personally think that it is close to the quality of the specialty restaurants. Overall, the ship was nice and large, so it didn’t feel like people were on top of one another, and I rarely felt the movement of the ship. I was always entertained and could tell the staff and crew wanted to make sure their guests felt special. I definitely didn’t go hungry and left happy. Read Less

Amazing ship, plenty for all age groups. Our group consisted of ages 12-50yrs One in the a party was a first time cruiser and worried about whether he would enjoy the cruise experience - needless to say he did ! We did 2 back to back weeks. The entertainment was superb, our particular favourite being The Fine Line aqua show - the talent of the performers was outstanding, in sometimes tricky conditions. Staff are chirpy and cleanliness is second to none. We never had to wait for any length of time to be served at any bar. Food is outstanding. Main Dining (silk) room waiters and in the Windjammer are superb. Our cabin steward quietly and discreetly went about his daily chores. We looked forward to the daily updates from the bridge by Captain Johnny. The stops at Labadee made for a great chill out day at the beach. And this is where my only complaint would come in. A beech staff member did not seem to employ the same ethics that RCI staff on ship employ. We were happily sorting out our lounger, when a staff member insisted he did it, then stood staring at me waiting to be paid. He gave a disgruntled moan when he received $1USD (clearly he felt the 60 seconds he insisted on doing was worth more!). I watched him do the same with other families. I will add he was the only one displaying this behaviour, I watched plenty of others happily helping and then moving to the next family. We did RCI organsied exursions and they were all amzing in terms of quality offerred with value for money. For the age range in our group this ship was perfect, and despite being fully booked, it never felt crowded anywhere, loungers were alwyas available, and seats usually available at shows if guests had not reserved any. We haf some issues with commincation from the bookings/admin office, with vital documetnaiotn whcih ahd not been sent to our travel agent - the guest services staff on board tirelessly worked to resolvethis if us. all round GREAT STAFF, GREAT SERVICE and A GREAT TIME was enjoyed. Disembarkation is slow once off ship, and something needs to be done in regards to the customs process, only 2 desks open, ! Read Less

So nice cruise and facilities. The food and the restaurant was better than expected, and the surroundings are so nice. We stayed at deck 10, and I wouldnt recommend to stay below this. The rooms was bigger than we thought and the cleaning on board was super. There was maybe to much American entertainment, but yeah - it is America. The watershow was amazing - it is a must see on board! The fitness and spa is very expensive - in our opinion way to expensive. The fitness classes costed 20 dollars - really expensive! though they were fully booked every day, and there should have been more classes, and maybe a little bit less expensive. The scuba shop is not worth trusting. The excursions they were offering were half the time that they said, so we felt we overpaid a lot and they just said that it wasnt their responsibility. BUT, the guestservice and the staff taking care of the booking etc. was awfull! Read Less

We chose this trip because it was over the holidays and the itinerary worked out for us scheduling wise. Embarkation was really easy. We stayed at the Hilton Marina and got an Uber to the pier about 10:30 am. Pier was very crowded but we were checked in and on the ship in 17 minutes (I timed it!). Rooms were ready at 1pm and we hung out and explored the ship until then. We were prepared for that so we took only what was necessary to have with us for a few hours. Our room 9719 was a Boardwalk balcony room. We got the Soda Package and the cups were in our room upon arrival. Room was spacious and had a lot of storage. Was clean and perfectly kept up daily. Bring your own soap and shower supplies, stuff provided was pretty basic. My only complaint about the Boardwalk rooms was that it was LOUD. By about 5am every day the aqua theater tv's were playing bright images and there was carnival music going from the merry-go-round. Those rooms are not sound proof no matter what anyone tells you. It was only quiet from about 1am-5am. Thank heavens for a sleep mask! Dining was great all around! Windjammer had tons of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were a full capacity cruise so finding a spot was sometimes difficult. Hand washing stations were readily available to use as well. Main Dining Room we ended up there only twice. We were late seating and in the American Icon Grill. Pretty standard operating procedure there. Food was good, not incredible, but good. We dined at Chop's on NYE and it was very good. We got champagne upon arrival and some appetizers for doing the Holiday reservation. They were a little busy but they did mention that they had about 5 more tables than usual going on that evening so it was understandable. Steaks, sides, and dessert were all very well made. We also ate at Jamie's Italian one evening and everything we ate was wonderful. Our waitress brought us so many special things and talked to us about everything. Go! We also had room service one evening, speedy and hot. Easy to order from the tv too. We also did the galley brunch. I was a little disappointed because it was a pretty sad brunch. We did this on Jewel and it was above and beyond. Harmony's version had a set menu and was pretty much regular dining room food. Nothing special like Jewel. Don't waste the time or money. Little restaurants around the ship were great! Park Cafe, Sorrentos, Mini Bites-- all great for snacking! Plenty of Coke machines around too for drink package use. Ship activities were great too! Bingo, a must! Love and Marriage, a must! We went to all the shows which were fabulous. Ice Skating shows, Aqua Theater Shows, Headliners, and musicals. All were absolutely fantastic. Big activities were fun too. We did the Bionic Bar, Rising Tide, Abyss Slide, water slides, surfing, merry-go round, and ice skating. Be prepared for them telling you to have special clothing for like EVERY special activity. We gave up on zip lining because every time we went, something was wrong with what we were wearing. Pool deck ultra packed because of the holiday so, be mindful of getting out early! Spa services were fantastic! We did 90 minute hot stone massages and they were out of this world relaxing. Spa was clean and service attentive. Ship staff incredibly friendly and attentive. Mark the cruise director and Captain Johnny were great too. Ports were pretty standard Caribbean stops. Labadee was overcast but we had fun on the zipline and beach. Save yourself and skip the BBQ. Go eat on the ship. Jamaica... little to be desired. We did Dunn's River Falls and a float trip tour and I felt gross after all of it. Cozumel we did a cave exploration and shopping, great day! Sea days were busy and packed full of activities. Solarium was nice to lounge in when pool deck got too crowded. Disembarkation was incredibly smooth. We had an Everglades and airport transfer excursion lined up so we were off the ship and through immigration in minutes. Overall, fantastic cruise and loved practically everything on Harmony! We cruised with 6 other couples for New Year’s Eve and it was fantastic! Luckily we live 2 hours from the port so we were able to drive. Embarkation went very smoothly at 11 am, disembarkation wasn’t quite as easy but nothing to complain about. The ship is gorgeous, we had balcony rooms with 5 rooms next door to each other. Our cabin steward opened the door between each balcony so we had one large balcony to party on. Grease was Fantastic. Service and entertainment were great, especially the aqua theater. Isuzmi was A+. Would definitely do it again. But, would stay on the ship in Jamaica. Bus ride back to the ship was terrifying in Jamaica and it was a good thing we booked the excursion through the ship because we were 1/2 hour late. Looking forward to going on the Symphony next! We have travelled on all size ships and can’t decide which one we live the best. Read Less

We chose this ship because it has so much to offer - and we chose a New Years cruise, because who doesn't want to party on a ship for a holiday? We were not disappointed, and really have nothing bad to say about the cruise! Embarkation was very smooth and fast - we were on the ship before 11am. You will never be bored on this ship unless you force yourself to be. There is always so much to do and see. There are so many activities that we honestly couldn't even get around to trying them all. All the entertainment is excellent. We went to every show that we could from the Broadway and aqua shows to the comedy and game shows, and we had a great time at each! We booked every single show early, always made sure to show up at least 15 minutes early, and never had trouble finding good seats. Our cabin was exactly as expected, and we had a very friendly and attentive stateroom attendant. Honestly, dining on the boat was great. We loved every single meal we had at the main dining room, and cannot say enough good things about our wait staff. We had my time dining, and were only turned away from the MDR once, which wasn't an issue - we just went to the windjammer. Service is great on this ship. You can tell the entire staff has been trained well and are there to make sure your vacation runs smoothly - they go above and beyond when asked. The ship is very clean and in good shape. We stopped at Labadee, Falmouth and Cozumel. All ports were nice. Labadee is a great beach destination, and very relaxing, as it is not a typical port - we would recommend doing the zipline, it's a really cool expereince. Falmouth is small, and we would recommend doing an excursion here as there is not a lot to do - but the people were friendly and there were nice stores. Cozumel is excellent - lots of places to shop and eat. The snorkeling and starfish sanctuary excursion is fun, and the staff on board the boat are lively and entertaining. We would 100% recommend Harmony, and are already considering going again. Read Less

I am a diamond member and have always given RC great reviews until now. The dining room and stateroom staff and services was great. I had no issue with the guest services staff. My complaints are as following: 1) Harmony had an excursion which allowed us to volunteer in the community, but a conflict arose when we got to the volunteer stations preventing us from volunteering. I feel that we should have received all of our money back for that excursion. I do believe Royal Caribbean should continue to offer the volunteer excursion opportunity. It is a great way to get the children involved in community service outside the US. However, Royal Caribbean needs to coordinate better with the charities so that conflicts won't arise. 2) The lack of diversity was glaring with the entertainment and shows. There was not one obvious person of African descent. It seemed that everyone was white in each headline, comedy, aqua show, musical, etc. The made of Harmony musical, Columbus, even featured a goddess of the Caribbean with a 3 foot dread wig who was a white person too. That musical also featured a ship flag that contained the symbol of the KKK and white supremist. The broadway show Grease also did not feature a visible person of darker African descent. There may have been an Asian/Hispanic lady who played a role as the latin dancer; but there did not appear to be any other person of color or African descent. Of course, there were plenty of dark people of color as stateroom attendants and wait staff. Royal Caribbean should be doing a better job of hiring people of diverse skin colors for the characters. 3) The dinner quality in the dining room was subpar, equivalent to a 3 star restaurant. It should be at least a 4 or 5. 4) The ship needs comfortable reclining chairs for the accessible rooms for the disabled. My mom couldn't sleep the entire trip because she only had a bed. She took a few cat naps when she could. She cannot sleep in normal beds due to a disability. Reclining chairs and adjustable beds are better to accommodate many disabilities. Read Less

Where to begin. Our family of 20 went from December 23-30 for Christmas. The port was fast (although the cops outside directing traffic were rude but oh well) and got us through easily with no problems. We got on the boat around 11:30 and our rooms were ready by 1pm with most everyone’s bags there for us. Our rooms were spacious and the balcony was roomy and nice. The ship itself is nice but that might be where the pros end. If you wanted to do most of the shows you needed to book ahead of time aka before you even got on the ship which is annoying because a lot of the time on vacation you just want to go with the flow and not worry about rushing to make a reservation. It should be first come first serve. You don’t know what you are going to want to do day-to-day until that time. There were some opportunities where things were not booked ahead of time for you to just show up but that was rare not to mention that the shows were mediocre. The comedians were the same all freaking week so there was no variety there but it didn’t matter since we could only book one time since it was so hard to get reservations for anything anyway. Night life was THE WORST aside from a couple fun adult game shows but they were over by midnight at the latest. There was almost nothing to do except go to the casino which is fun a couple of nights but not every night. The club on Carnival was packed and fun every night but on RC, where's the club even at??We were with a couple of smokers and there were only two designated smoking areas – the casino which is good if you like casinos and enjoy smelling like an ashtray for the rest of the night or on the side of the ship near the pool which would be fine if the bar right there didn’t close at 10pm. If you are going to force smokers to a tiny area where they are secluded, at least have the bar open until 2am. I understand a lot of people don't smoke and don't like to be around it but they made smokers feel unwanted. Both should be respected equally. The food was just ok. Some nights at the formal dining room was really good but other nights it left something to be desired although the staff was very friendly and attentive every night. The Solarium food was amazing (and a great hangout place for adults … who don’t smoke) and the Windjammer buffet was not that great and only used if it was too late to go to your formal dining location. Sorrento’s pizza was the best and open until 3am so that was a bonus as far as food goes. There were WAY too many restaurants that you have to pay for. You already paid so much for the cruise, all the food should be included or maybe have 1 or 2 that have a small upcharge but some were $95 a person … no thank you. No way the food is worth it. They also had a curfew for anyone under 18. I don't think small children should be running around until all hours of the night but teenagers shouldn't be forced to go to bed. If their parents said it was ok to stay out, relax by the pool or by the pizza place then leave them alone. Don’t force them to go to their rooms if they aren't causing a scene or being unruly. My nieces and nephews who are between 13-16 were harassed by the security on board multiple times when all they were doing was sitting with friends talking and laughing. One security guard even came up to my brother-in-law asking if his kids that were sitting right next him were in fact his kids and if they should still be up at 2am. That’s just rude. They were eating pizza and hanging out ... WITH THEIR DAD. Oh and EVERY LITTLE THING YOU BUY HAD 18% GRATUITY added to it which is absurd. So if you get a drink don’t tip your bartender because surprise! They are already tipped. Ask for tip at the end of the trip allowing them to be tipped accordingly instead of taxing everything. All and all if you want to go on a cruise that is fun with a lot of nightlife, freedom and way better food, choose Carnival or any other line than RC. If you want to be snobby and rude to other passengers and go to bed by 9pm then this cruise is for you! We thought it would be amazing with this ship being newer, huge and with the reputation RC has but nope. Never again. Read Less

If you want lots to do and lots of options, this is your ship! In fact, I am not even sure why we got a balcony considering we were hardly on it. The Holiday Cruise was filled with families of all generations, lots of kids and lots of scooters. It was also filled to maximum capacity (what would you expect the week of Christmas)? If you plan to do this one, get ready for crowds and big groups which also means crowded elevators, etc. RC staff were fabulous and handle the crowds with smiles and quick service. It amazes me everywhere we went. Loved the cabin (9288) and the updates as far as storage, space, etc. the specialty restaurant 150 was outstanding and the little outside bar in Central Park has the best bartenders ever!! All shows were outstanding! I also did the martini making class and had a great tone and learned a lot. In Dan Juan we did the rum tour (i got to make a monitor—this was not the Bacardi tour but a tour where we saw a little of the city and then went to a bar to learn about rum—fun fun!!) For me, I prefer the smaller ships but if you want big with lots of choices, this is the one for you!! Read Less

I tried meals a couple of times at the dining room, service was good, food was terrible, food was good at the buffet, pizza was also good, they have enough places to eat. Entertainment was good,, we enjoy the shows. Ports were good, except in Puerto Rico where we enjoy few hours, we needed more time to explore, Royal Caribbean needs de spend more time in this port so much to see with so little time. I definitely reccoment going on the best cruise ship in the world: Harmony of the Seas. First of all, Sorrento's is the best pizza place in the world! The pizza is so crusty and the sauce is so good! The pizza litteraly melts in my mouth. Second of all, there are so many fun activities! Some activities is the zip-line, ice-skating, shows, competitions and more! Third, on Deck 5, it is so fun! There at night, you can enjoy some music/dance and Sorrento's pizza. Fourth, the Royal Theater is probbably one of the best theater in the world!, it has Grease which is ok. But the comedians are SO funny. Now on to the room service, the room service is the BEST, they would always make animals out of towels because they know there are kids sleeping in the room which aka is me and my sister. Oh and last but not least, the captain is so welcoming and friendly. Without a doubt, come on a journey with the one and only Royal Carribean: Harmony of the Seas. I would rate Harmony of the Seas a 5 stars because I had such a wonderful and fun experience with this cruise line. "I love Harmony! I love Harmony"- Song from Harmony of the Seas. Overall, Harmony is a great ship! It’s clean, beautiful and lots of fun! One would think with 6000 passengers that it would be super crowded. It’s NOT! The ship is laid out very well and has a great flow. Our favorite areas were Central Park where we ate in various specialty restaurants as well as the Park Cafe, which is free. (Good lunch spot!). We also loved the Schooner bar - trivia at times and in the evenings, the Piano Bar. The entertainment was good - Grease was fun, of course! Loved the water show (Fine Line) and the comedians were hilarious. On our cruise, they had to cancel 1887 - the Ice Skating Show as a few of the skaters got injured. We were disappointed but understood! We have cruised on Harmony 2 times and Allure 3 times. They are basically the same ship. There is SO much more to do on Harmony compared to other ships, like Celebrity Edge, which we just sailed the week before Harmony. We don’t love the food in the buffet or MDR, so we always buy a 5 night specialty dining package. That makes all the difference in the world to us! I’m a vegetarian, but I always find something to eat. We would sail on Harmony again! Great ship! Read Less

Teacher was fun and relaxed and broke down the steps well. Didn't check out much of Labadee or Jamaica. Went to a few art auctions, had a great time, and actually bought a few items. Looking forward to receiving. May not be the best cruise for a solo traveler but I had fun anyway. Took the shuttle to the FLL airport. Not sure I needed to do that with taxis being so easy and available. Chose ship because of the flowrider and the op to dive in Cozumel. Alas, dive was cancelled because of weather but the rest of the trip was fun. Service was terrific and seamless. I did my time for dining and didn't ever make a reservation. Most I waited was ten minutes. Read Less

We choose this ship because we are Royal Caribbean GOLD in Crown & Anchor Society, and our previous cruise were fantastic in Freedom and Quantum Class Ships. All family wanted to try Oasis Class ship, OUR MISTAKE. All starts at embarkation with our luggage, rude staff asking for tips before anything else..... This ship is beautiful, but it is to big for the crew and management, here details: - Food, in Windjammer food were the worst we have had in a cruise, only last 2 o 3 days before cruise finish quality goes good but not to better. - They call guest to clean their hands before entry to Windjammer but nobody from crew takes care to check if guest really clean their hands, they only stand at the entry, ask for clean hands is a formality, but not a real thing. - Guests left the tables made a mess, very dirty, and the cleaning work for next guest was not to good. - 150 Central Park Restaurant don't lose your money there. - Main dining Room run for your life...., food ok not more, but service forget about it. - After two days we understand the food business, poor food and service included to push you to go to paid restaurants, we talk with other guest and they thought in the same way. - Service from the bar at pools was to slow, we order sometimes but stop we have to wait to much. - towels, 3 stations but usually works only one, you have to walk to the open one, and the guys were talking between them, you have to wait for them before receive the towel. - Hot dog station, from a selection of hot dogs usually they hace coney island only. - SPA, they change your time as their convenience, and it's a scam, they sell you 75 minutes of relaxing massage, but those 75 minutes are like this, the first 15 minutes of waiting and talking time with your massage therapist, then 45 minutes of massage and to finish 10 or 15 minutes trying to sell you a lot of beauty expensive products. Imagine the 50 minutes offer....... And other many, many things out of the cruise of our or your dreams. Recommendation with your photo package, If you travel with more than one cabin in your reservation, and in the other cabins there are people (your son and daughter) over 21 years old, put all your photos under one cabin number, if not, when you are going to select your photos you will have to paid a lot of more money, A LOT!!!. They don't let you to put all the cabins photos together (all cabins under your reservation) to take all your photos for the best package rice...... Out standing from our cruise, Jamie's Oliver restaurant and Wonderland, food and service. We try it them (both) in Quantum class ship and were great to. Izumi restaurant is this ship a small and dark hole, so dark and dirty, bad service, very slow to receive food after order, in other way Izumi in Quantum class are excellent!!. Usually after a cruise we talk about crew and we fall in love with all of them, but in this cruise we remember only two lovely and outstanding service, they were Cristina from Jamie's Oliver restaurant and the waiter from Macedonia of Wonderland restaurant (sorry we forgot the name), only two..... so sad for a cruise experience. First cruise with no to much photos, It did not deserve it Read Less
