We are infinitely grateful to the crew of the Viking Ve, and her temporary Program Director Sam Corbin (normally onboard the Viking Gefjon.) I was traveling with my mother, who fell early in our journey and required a trip to the emergency room for stitches. Then 6 days later we made another visit to have them removed. Sam was hugely helpful during the crisis moment, as well as later, in assessing how we could help her to participate as much as possible in the rest of the activities, as walking had become an issue for her. She was able to get off the ship and visit many towns along the way, thanks to his ideas. Thomas Leitner, our Hotel Manager, also performed over and above in helping me arrange emergency care for her, even staying with us at the hospital to ensure there were no language/communication issues with the medical staff. I leaned heavily on his help and support that day, and he gave it graciously. I will always be grateful to him. Every crew member that interacted with us contributed to making a very difficult situation bearable and manageable. The entire time they were genuinely concerned and eager to help in any way they could. Their kindness and compassion were amply evident every day we were onboard. How different this situation would have been had we been traveling on our own rather than with Viking. Beyond the unexpected medical adventure, the crew was fabulous in their regular duties as well. Sam manages the coordination of the complex logistics of our tours and other entertainment (among other things) while making it look simple. Even when confronted with plans gone awry (through no fault of his own) he finds solutions with a smile and confidence; never letting on to the passengers how stressful it must be. Like all good performance producers, he makes sure the show goes on and looks perfectly seamless and smooth, hiding any chaos that may exist behind the scenes. As far as we can tell, there's never a problem. He does an outstanding job with grace and humor. Chef Marak, Lukas the maitre'd, and the wait staff (Glen, Angelo, Edwin, and Julius) were also outstanding. I was in need of special diet accommodations, which were tended to with perfect attention to detail. I never once had a problem, and even got to have schnitzel made especially for me and my diet. It was a huge treat, and something I haven't had in 40 years! Thank you! Every interaction with the crew was positive and enjoyable. You have truly selected the best of the best. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Read Less

We wanted to see Central Europe and experience the great cities and countryside along the Danube, Main and Rhine. We were not disappointed. We loved the daily included tours that gave us a wonderful overview of the people and cities. Being near the center of the cities when docked also provided an opportunity to explore on foot on our own. My wife was particularly thrilled with the Organ recital in Passau and the Mozart/Schubert concert in Vienna as she is a pianist/organist. Wow!!! The service was great -- and the size of the ship gave the opportunity to really get to know the crew as well. Food and entertainment was super. We started with a pre-trip with Viking in Prague so we got to know about 18 people who went on with us to Budapest, etc. It really enriched the experience and we formed the Praha Group that is still in communication back in the States. My mother's parents both came from the Czech Republic so the pre-trip was especially enriching for me. Read Less

Viking River cruises are amazing! We took the Grand European tour from Amsterdam to Budapest! We also added on the 3 day post tour to Prague. The ship was very well maintained. We enjoyed most of the dining experiences, my hubby thought the meals were a little too gourmet for his tastes. He is pretty much a meat and potatoes fan. He did however, enjoy the cookies every afternoon at the coffee and tea station! The entertainment was nice, we especially liked the trivia game nights. The service was excellent, the waiters, bar staff and house maids were great and very personable. Our cruise director David was the best!!! Very attentive to all our needs. We did all the included shore excursion, lots of walking. Very informative also. Viking certainly exceeded all of our expectations! A river cruise through Europe has been near the top of our wish list for many years ... and our 15 days on the Grand European Tour was everything we had hoped for. Our program director on Viking Ve, Marik, was brilliant - funny, knowledgeable, caring. His enthusiasm and engagement made the onboard experience special, and his one-man-show as Mozart was amazing. The ship's layout and appointments were excellent, and the staff was delightful. It was so nice to be greeted with a smile and a hello throughout the day and by every member of ship's company we encountered. The food was quite good, the bar well stocked. Shore excursions were informative, if occasionally too brief. The only challenges we encountered were created by Mother Nature: very hot weather, and low water between Nuremburg and the Danube. Viking had the perfect solution to the latter problem: we transferred to Viking Gefjon - a minor inconvenience, but far better than abandoning the cruise. We missed almost nothing, the ships are identical, and we got to meet and be pampered by a new cast (fortunately, our program director transferred to Gefjon with us). Overall, the Grand European Tour on Viking Ve was an unforgettable experience of a lifetime. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We had hoped to see the Rhine-Meine Canal as we transited it but due to the low water we were unable to transit that section. The ship change was handled very smoothly by the staff and crew. We attended at least one excursion at each port so we had a good overview of the entire area, the excursions were well run. Occasionally we got a guide that was a bit hard to understand but for the most part that wasn't a problem. The process of getting people off the ship and to the designated locations for their excursions was handled in a very smooth fashion. The seemingly impromptu evening cruise of the lights of Budapest the last evening was one of the highlights! We truly enjoyed the time cruising through the scenic countryside and would have enjoyed a little more of that. Our cabin was spacious, comfortable and well appointed and the Service was impeccable. We enjoyed the flexibility of open seating and the opportunity to get to know many of the other passengers by sharing a table with different people throughout much of the cruise. It was a fabulous experience and we will definitely take another Viking Cruise. Read Less

This cruise introduced us to the history and culture of many European countries and ports of call. We stayed in Prague for 3 days for a pre-excursion trip were so glad we did. It was a wonderful city to visit. All of the shore excursions were excellent and we got to enjoy a wonderful concert in Vienna by the Vienna Resident Orchestra. On other excursions we visited abbeys, castles, cathedrals, historic cities and venues and loved every minute of each excursion. The Viking tour guides were excellent. The Cruise Director, the Hotel Manager and the Captain were always available and extremely knowledgeable. The food on board the ship was outstanding with a wide variety of choices and able to satisfy and pallet. The restaurant service was always exemplary as was the cabin service. The really great think about Viking is that virtually everything is included (except for gratuity) in the cost. We are first time Viking river cruisers and everything about the cruise exceeded our expectations. The smaller size of the river boat gives travelers the opportunity to meet people and make new friends. The included excursions were well organized, informative, and fun. My only complaint was that some ports had little time for shopping. The dining room was nicely decorated and the food was delicious. We had the choice of a full service meal or a smaller venue for a lighter meal. The cabins were on the small side, but very clean and nicely appointed. The room stewards were friendly and eager to make sure all of our needs were met. Our cruise director and his staff were friendly and knowledgable, making sure we knew exactly what to expect at each port and on the ship. I would definitely do another river cruise, but I have my eye on a Viking Ocean Cruise to do next. Read Less

The idea of confort and quality expected. Over all the trip was very good, but we need more time a shore, to visit some locations like salzburg, and Munich. Some of the local guides did have issues with racism which came clearly out with me as a hispanic black american in Budapest and some small towns in Germany. A tour guide lady did not to accept me because I was not part of the group and some of the people in the group had to verify to her that I was in the group, that was a little offensive, although I do not have a hyper sensitive behavior about the color of my skin, just because it is not part of mentality to feel like and outsider any where I am. The best experience of the trip was the staff a board the boat, service, food, music and activities in addition to the fact of the size of the group which allowed to a more social interaction with other travelers. This was our third Viking cruise. Previously we have been on a river cruise to China and an ocean cruise to the Mediterrean. Viking is a wonderful cruise line. Things are as they say they will be and if there is a change, because of things they can not control such as high water in the river, they clearly communicate. Remember, you are on a river and mother nature is in control. We took the two day extension before the cruise started in Amsterdam. The Hotel Okura is just blocks from the tram stop. Line 24 just reopened after being close for many years due to construction and takes you straight to the city center. Watch out for killer bicycles! We had a man on our ship sustain a major injury to his face after encountering a bicycle. Viking offers a tour to Keukenoff which unfortunately, we did not know about as it wasn't on the website (weird) and a walking tour the first morning. We had pre arranged our own tour and it was lovely. We toured Amsterdam the day we departed and just took the tram to the port. Ask at the hotel or call Viking to find out which port the ship will be located as there are many ports. If you want to see the Van Gogh Museum, or Ann Franks House, book your tickets in advance online! Cabins are small but clear and efficient. Refrigerators, hair dryers, lots of drawers and large closet. Bathrooms are tight but it is a small ship! Don't overpack! I took 3 pair of pants, 2 walking shoes (lots of cobblestones which get slippery when it rains) and one pair of black flats for evening. I brought 5 tops, jacket, and a warm fleece for under the jacket on cool days. Don't bother with a dress. They can do your laundry and all seemed pleased with the results as they return your clean clothes in a box. It took on average two days to return the clean clothes. I washed undies out in the sink so bring a small amout of detergent and throw it at the end of the trip. Excursions were great. I read lots of people complaining about the amount of walking. I disagree. Amount was perfect as you want to see things and buses can't go everywhere. Truly, most needed to get in better physical shape before traveling. They always had a G group for gentle which entailed less walking. At Schonnbrunn in Vienna, I would not recommend the optional tour as it only the basic tour. Go on your own via the fantastic subway and take the more extensive tour with audioguide for far less money. Food was my only complaint. Breakfast and lunch were wonderful but dinner was lacking. There is little variety-one regular choice, one fish and one vegetarian and that is it. I left many nights hungry and started taking meat and cheese at other meals to make a sandwich at night. They offer a "buffet" on the Aquavit terrace at night but they had smoked salmon up there every night and that was it. I don't know why they don't juist offer a salad bar, soup, and sandwiches at night for those who want a light dinner. If you get ill, they are very good about bringing your a tray to your room. surprisingly, many got a cold on the trip but there were pharmacies everywhere and many used their services! Staff are very attentive and kind. Program Director, David, was amazing as were Hotel Manager, and cabin steward. On this ship. we saw the Captain everywhere! He was overseeing the laying of the gangways so we could get off the ship safely and you could see him overseeing the tying up of the ship when we got into port. That man never slept. Traveling down the Rhine, Main, and Danube are amazing. If you never get off the ship, you have seen a lot. The history! The castles, the vineyards, the villages! Stunning! The locks are amazing and truly an experience. Cruising allows you to see all of this and arrive at a new port each morning all without packing your bag! This is not a cruise with casinos, spas, swimming, etc. This is a enrichment experience. There is entertainment in some form everynight. We had a singing/piano duo, local bands, dancing, singing, enrichment lectures, and trivia. I can't tell you how hard we laughed during the trivia. All were fun and well done. Traveling on a river cruise is very intimate so you meet a lot of people-nice people and have fun with them. I'd do it again, especially if they fix the dinner issue. Read Less

As a veteran of 40 ocean cruises, I was not prepared for the staff, service and generally fabulous trip we had. We thought we would be bored in the evenings, but there was plenty of entertainment and things to do. Between eating, and more eating - everything was delicious!, the walking (thank goodness we burned some of the calories) and entertainment, we didn't even look at the books we brought "to kill time" in the evenings. We were met in Munich and escorted to Passau by bus. Our Viking representative told us that one of the planes that would join our bus was a little late and we would have time to visit the Christmas market just outside the doors of the terminal; so we started off with fun instead of just waiting. The included daily tours had a Quiet Vox system where we each wore a receiver so everyone could hear the guide, not just the first two rows crowded around. Also, when one of our members got lost, he could hear that we were waiting for him and where to meet us - he was located in no time. The groups were small and each guide was knowledgeable. Kane was our Cruise Director and I have never had so much fun! He was so energetic! We had local talent, speakers, sing alongs, and just a wonderful time. If you have ever tried to find a seat to eat while your breakfast is getting cold, you will appreciate as much as we did the fact that there were plenty of seats for eating and people were generally a lot more friendly. The lounge, also, had plenty of seating for all. The ship was just more intimate (177 guests instead of 2500). The only bad part is that the Danube River is in Europe and a LONG flight to and from California. Maybe that's good - I'd go once a month if it wasn't so far. The staff gets "eleven out of ten" stars for service, attitude and general above and beyond service. They even managed to repair my boots! Another example of above and beyond -- we were delayed three hours because of a mechanical failure of one of the locks we had to go thru making our "grand entrance" to Budapest at 1 am - so the Captain arranged with the Harbor Master to leave the dock, go back upstream and re-enter the lights of Budapest at a decent hour the next evening. They even escorted us to the airport in Budapest for the trip home and made sure we were on the correct line. The ship was excellent too. I can't think of anything to complain about and we've been on 33 ocean cruises before. The ports were well chosen and the shore extensions were well run. Service was better than average. Would we go again? Of course. River cruising turned out to be much better than we expected. We have cruised the Rhine earlier with Viking and were quite pleased by the tours and also the ability to get on and off the ship without taking forever and being run through security constantly, like the large cruise ships. Pulling into small towns and villages and walking a path to the old section is just our style. Yes, there are some coach tours and they are well worth it. On the Rhine, the tour to Colmar cannot be missed, and is close. On the Danube tour, they changed the coach tour from Salzburg (one of our favorite small cities in Europe) to Chesky Krumlov (which we fell totally in love with). It is a long drive from Linz but a beautiful drive through the countryside, and one of the best days of our Danube tour. Starting in Budapest gave us a chance to explore the city by arriving a few days earlier and enjoying the families and restaurants during the Christmas season. Extending a few days in Prague was the same experience, where you have the time to just stroll and get the real feel of a place. Ending the tour in central Europe gives you a further chance to extend somewhere else as well, for an inexpensive plane ride. For us, it was Rome for another 6 days. The portages on the Danube Cruise, including Budapest, Vienna (climbed St. Stephens tower for the view and to burn off calories), and the incomparable towns of Melk and Durnstein are the true Europe still left. We also loved visiting Bratislava, with very eclectic art and a truly friendly people, and of course Passau was marvelous. Having the chance to climb up to forts and castles as we went, because we didn't need to run or miss the ship, made it all the more wonderful for us. We are active and like to add climbing up church towers or hills for views (or a beer) to our daily activity. My only concern, and I've shared it with Viking, was in Vienna, which of course is a large city. After the daily tour they had the option of a night tour to the Opera House which many people took. The coaches picked them up from the ship which was docked quite a way away from anything else. For the many of us who just wanted to go back to town, check out the Christmas lights at night, hear some Jazz, they had no shuttles. The walk from the ship to the metro was quite long and it was dark and at this time of year, chilly. We had no problems, but for many this made it impossible to leave the ship at all, or an expensive cab ride both ways. Suggest they have optional shuttles to at least take passengers to the metro terminal, quite a ways a way, or better yet at a drop off point near the center. And back. It would make Vienna much more accessible for everyone, and what a fantastic city it is. The Ve is one of the newer Viking ships and we had a French Balcony room which is our favorite. We don't usually book balconies as we don't use them, but the French balcony gives you a wall of views and the ability to open one half of it and enjoy the fresh Danube air (and ice, as was the case in December, but we loved it). The cabins are nicely appointed, the bathrooms quite roomy compared to the older ships, and the crew was marvelous as always. They cleaned the room at least twice a day, I think our cabin steward spent more time in my room then I did, but I missed him when we left. The Oktoberfest themed dinner was one of the best I have ever seen in all my years of cruising, the food amazing and beautifully presented, and a terrific oompah band went table to table. Each evening there was a piano player and a themed game or contest. Best bartenders in the business on these ships, and a very nice liquor selection as well. All in all, this cruise totally outdid itself!! We will be back, and will try a Viking Ocean voyage next. Read Less

Our cruise director Maya was terrific and could not have done more for us. For the most part, our shore excursions were great! The only negative thing was that we experienced low water and could not continue on the Danube to Vienna. We had to pack up and bus to Vienna. Viking could not have done more to make the trip great, however. With deluxe accommodations in a hotel in Vienna to side trips to see some of what we were missing. As no one can control the weather, the crew, Maya and Marco in particular did everything humanly possible to help make everything wonderful! It was a fabulous experience and one that we hope to do again in the near future. Our thanks to the entire crew of the "Ve" for their very caring attitude and kind attention to detail! We had heard good things about Viking, and the itinerary looked good. The cruise itself was certainly not cheap, but the low cost round trip airfare helped to keep the cost somewhat within reason. We also really appreciated the daily included tours. We only took the one additional cost tour to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, and it was well worth it. You have to take all the included daily tours into consideration when weighing the overall value of the cruise. A HUGE plus for Viking is the number of ships they have on the rivers. You may not think this matters, but when the water levels get too low or too high, ships may not be able to continue. On our trip, the water level on the Danube was too low by the time we reached Regensburg, Germany, and they had to transfer us to a sister ship on the other side of the low water location. They did this seamlessly with just one overnight in Vienna in a suite at 5 star Hyatt hotel (1st world problems!). The next day we boarded in the same exact room on a different ship. All other cruise lines had to change to bus tours. Excellent program director Maya kept everything timely and organized!!! Can't say enough good things about her. The efficiency of your program director can make or break a trip like this, and she was energetic, efficient, and enthusiastic! We loved the small ship atmosphere. There were 186 guests, and we met a number of pleasant and interesting guests who we shared dinner and lunches with, and hopefully will stay in touch as friends. The onboard informational talks were extremely interesting in Germany and Austria, and all of the local guides were very good or excellent. I was a little disappointed that they had to close the top deck for such a long time (at least 4-5 days) on the Main due to barely squeezing under bridges. Since the water level was low, they must have to do this on every trip. The Rhine cruising was best viewed from the top deck, but when that deck is closed, the ship offers fewer places to walk and go if you want to get out of your cabin. We opted to skip the premium beverages package. It's a lot of money (overpriced in my mind), and unless you plan to seriously drink A LOT of top name wines and spirits, it is cheaper just to buy a few drinks individually. Also, you can buy wines on shore and bring them back to either dining room or cabin. Overall an excellent trip. I would highly recommend a Viking River cruise. Read Less

Although we had been on many ocean cruise this was our first river cruise. We began our journey with a 3 day pre-cruise visit to Prague before boarding our ship in Budapest. Prague was a beautiful city to visit. Before leaving home we were a little apprehensive about traveling on a smaller ship but found the intimate environment onboard the Viking ship to be great. We met lots of new friends and had an enjoyable time interacting with them both while dining and out on shore excursions. The included shore excursions for each port provided an incredible history lesson. Tour guides were excelent and in some ports there were options available depending on your particular interests. We did take an optional tours in Vienna for a Mozart concert (highly recommended) and city highlights of Salzburg. The Salzburg tour emphasis was The Sound of Music and while very interesting we felt rushed. Just needed a couple of extra free time hours to explore the city further. He was freakin awesome! How awesome..... very helpful, flexible, adaptive, informative, well organized, and ultra great sense of humor! So take the following with a grain of salt. I'm a member in a rock band. Something other than just piano and vocals would have been more attractive for evening entertainment. The gentlemen that were providing entertainment were talented and delightful. Also, the older crowd and very limited space wouldn't probably allow for a more complete music experience..in my limited perspective and humble opinion. Food was well prepared, varied, interesting. Hospitality was off the charts. Thoroughly delightful experience. This was our first trip to Europe. It was, for my wife and I, our first trip to celebrate retirement. The size of the ship was perfect. There were just enough people to meet everyone and get to know most. When it comes to our Ship, the Ve, I can not express how lovely it was. The ship and our room was kept spotless. The overall dining experience was amazing, our food was incredible, pleasantly presented and plentiful and the service was beyond compare! Everyone from the Captain on down were incredibly friendly. By the end of our cruise in Budapest, I could not imagine the staff would be actually serving an entirely new group of passengers after we disembarked. How could they treat any other group as nice they consistently treated us? They were always so eager to make every minute our experience perfect, and they succeeded! I have never experienced the level of service the entire crew provided on any tour, trip or cruise I have ever taken. Since returning home, I have been constantly reviewing the other Viking cruises (both river and ocean) to find my next adventure. For me they are the best in the industry. I would recommend this cruise to anyone who likes to travel. Read Less

We had never been on a river cruise, and had seen numerous advertisements and promotions for Viking. Many of our friends and acquaintances had traveled with Viking and almost all were very complementary in their praise of Viking's river cruises. We selected the Amsterdam to Budapest cruise - on a new Viking ship - as the most entertaining and all-encompassing itinerary in their offerings. The cruise itself was flawless: From the moment we stepped aboard the ship, every crew member seemed to be doing everything possible to make our stay and cruise as perfect and enjoyable as possible. Viking has done a great job in designing the new "Viking Longships" and the ships are very well laid-out and attractive in every detail. Recognizing that the river cruise ships are limited in size in all dimensions because of their routes, Viking has done an excellent job of utilizing every bit of space to enhance the passenger's enjoyment and comfort. We are already booked on a Viking Ocean Cruise for next year and expect that we will find the same standards and enjoyment on the Viking Ocean ship as we did on the river cruise. Read Less

exlplored departure city before cruise Amsterdam was Quite interesting enjoyed the city. Hotel was excellent great staff and first class. All departures were on time and very smoooth. Our cabin was kept very clean and tidy but the air condition was intermittent at night which caused us to sweat in the middle of the night . Porter could not get control adjusted.. Found that we needed to get to lounge early otherwise no convenient seat available. Similar story with dining room. Would have preferred assigned seating. All food was very good with lots of choices lunge had excellent liquor selection. Excursions were somewhat lacking. Some not good value for money. Gold excursion is for kids not adults and way over priced. Vienna and Prague were amazing would love to go again and spent more time there. The last hotel we stayed in before flying home was not up to standard we are used to. Mold in bathroom. I would like to see some area on ship for fitness routine. I would go again in a few years. Did not get our prepaid seats on KLM airline on way home. My wife and I had to sit quite a few rows apart.. Read Less

My wife and her two friends needed a getaway, so we took the riverboat cruise from Basel to Amsterdam. Our trip was incredible, from the moment we landed in Munich till we left. The Viking staff took full control from Memphis, tn. and once aboard, we were treated like royalty. I cannot say enough about the staff, the room (heated floors in bathroom), the food, just fantastic. We took several tours, and to my amazement these were first class also. I cannot say enough about the fun we had, the entertainment, the quality of service, the boat and the staff, all were first class. On a star rating of 5, we give Viking 6 stars and much more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are looking forward toward another trip in 2017, we are planning to take a 14 day cruise this time, an cannot wait for the trip to begin Bil,sandy, Ren and Marilyn l from Tennessee Read Less

We took a transatlantic cruise over to Europe and enjoyed the ocean cruise very much with Royal Caribbean. We visited 6 countries on that cruise. We ended up in Copenhagen, Denmark and flew back to Amsterdam to board the Viking Ve Grand European River cruise. Let me begin by saying that we were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. Our cabin was tiny and had a peep hole for a window as all the balconies were sold out. We felt smothered and claustrophobic. We tagged our sheets on the bed and they were only changed once, after the first night, because my wine glass on the night stand had tipper over onto the bed. Imagine paying that kind of money and our sheets were never changed after that, ( this was a 14 night cruise).. The spokesman for Viking that we talked to over the phone after our return told my husband that, and I quote, " I don't change my sheets every week", and " you should have told your cabin steward you wanted you sheets changed". One would assume that the sheets would have been changed at least mid-cruise. The ship itself was small with the staterooms accounting for at least half of the ship space. They had a nice dining room, outdoor terrace for another dining option, lounge/bar gathering place for lectures and briefing of the next days events, and a sun deck lounge that ran the length of the ship on the top floor. The top deck stayed closed the majority of the time due to the lock bridges. On the one nice day that it was opened, we attempted to get a little sun but there was no pool, no Jacuzzi, or even a water hose that one could use to cool off. The entertainment on board left much to be desired. There was a gentleman that played the piano for at least 90% of the time when entertainment was called for. They brought in a one time glass blower, a father and son duo that sang and played instruments. and a trio of musicians who played instruments. That was the extent of the entertainment for 2 weeks. The ports/shore excursions were included which the majority of the time were walking guided tours. The tour guide would stand in one place for long periods of time which wore the older people down. The streets in all of the ports were cobblestone and created the risk of falling. I mention this because in most of the ports we noted sight seeing tour buses that were available but never used by Viking. The only buses that were ever used were the ones to get us back to the ship as it moved to a different location while we were on the walking tours due to the congestion on the rivers and the locks. They offered other excursions but cost extra. The food on the ship was excellent. The service of the wait staff was equally excellent. The wine and beer flowed freely during lunch and dinner, however the wine was cheap tasting and watered down. We bought a drink package to get a better quality beer and wine.. Now, let me tell you about the "so called" Concierge on board. He gets a grade F in our book. We had asked him to book us a private country side tour when we were in Melk, Germany. I had actually wanted to go to Innsbrook. He said from the beginning that it was too far from where we were. So we asked him to book us a country side trip in Vienna as we were to dock there the next day for 2 days. We also asked him to have the wait staff acknowledge our anniversary like they had been doing for other couples and singing "happy birthday" wishes. Finally, we asked him to book us a really nice restaurant in Budapest for dinner on the last day. ( this request was made days in advance as well). He suggested that we eat with others who were staying on in Budapest like ourselves. We explained that we wanted to eat alone. Okay so count them, 3 requests. He promised to get back with us and let us know what he booked, etc. He failed to deliver all 3 requests, instead blowing us off every time he saw us. Again we were celebrating our 35 year anniversary. When we were leaving the ship on the last day we had no help with our luggage as we waited on a taxi. Mind you we had been traveling for 6 weeks. Guess who was standing outside as we disembarked, Marco himself waiting for his tips. Would we ever cruise viking again? Hell No !!!!! Read Less
