This was our 17th cruise and the 6th on Celebrity. We are completely appreciative of the job that Celebrity does making each trip special. The staff on the Reflection was exceptional and exceeded all of our expectations greatly. Our Room Attendant Dedy was superb. Was thoughtful, respectful and very efficient. Our waiters and assistant waiters, Jessee and Arnold were also terrific. They helped to make our cruise memorable. The entertainment was good, but I felt it had been better in previous years. The live music onboard was very good and we enjoyed most night going to the theater, then listening to whatever music venue was available. Our Cabin was immaculate as was the restaurant and common areas. We had been on most of the excursions before, so we enjoyed the time we spent in each town exploring the culture. Our Cruise Director Eddy Jenkins was good. As was his Activities Manager Pete. The food was wonderful. A good mixture of different offerings each night to keep even the most finicky palates satisfied. The Ocean Grill was good and a large variety was offered there each and every day. All in All we are very loyal to Celebrity! I can't think of another cruise line that does it any better! Read Less

We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the ABC Islands and it did not disappoint. The Refelection is a beautiful ship. We had great weather, calm seas and the food and staff were wonderful. Passengers were frientdly and interesting and came from all parts of the world. The entertainment on board was excellent - great shows with talented singers and dancers. There was also live music throughout the ship every evening, which made for plenty of great nightlife. The islands we visited were great - Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire - beautiful beaches and shopping. Bonaire was great for snorkling and scuba diving. We also stopped at Cartagena, Columbia which was great fun. We took a shore excursion with Celebrity which included a tour of the walled city and a wonderful boat ride with lvie music, drinks and entertainment. Overall we would highly recommend Celebrity. This was our 6th cruise with them and we will definitely contineue to cruise Celebirty in the future! Read Less

I give the Celebrity Reflection a 98% positive report. It was refurbished 2018 and now looks like brand new. They did a great job. We do not do the dining rooms any more, just the buffets. Ramesh, the head chef, was awesome. Anything you wanted he will take care of. He always asked if everything is good. No it was not good, everything was fantastic. The food on the buffet was excellent each and every day. Choices were abound. Everything we ate was delicious. (Take notice Celebrity Edge. There the food was never any good) On the Reflection, Tables were kept clean of dirty dishes FAST! Sometimes just eating the last item on the plate and they were right there taking it away. The ice cream was excellent. So many different flavors each day. Spotless, always cleaning any mess right away. Those that clean the tables were so wonderful and nice. Always a nice smile and a little conversation. Only one looked like she did not like her job, our room steward was one of them, did as little as she could. One bar server for the buffet was Muhammad, you would think he was doing this for years. He was the “new guy”. Started in February. He was awesome. Right on the ball. A great smile and a great person. So comfortable with his job and always made us feel welcome. What more could you ask for. He was wonderful. Another person was a bartender at the Passport Bar, Sreejith. I like a drink made a specific way. 5 different items with a specific amount of each. After making it once. No need to tell him how the next time. What a wonderful person, a smile always and very friendly. All three of these people are excellent assets to the Celebrity cruise line. They all deserve to be recognized by Celebrity for the great jobs they are doing that reflect the cruise line. Now for the entertainment. This was an 11 day cruise. Every show was excellent accept one. There were three women to do Motown and they destroyed every song by doing it their way and screaming not singing. Ballads were screaming and jazzed way up. Half the time you could not even recognize the song. The live band was fantastic, the Celebrity singers and dancers were excellent to say the least. They had one production called MAXX. Had no idea what that would be. It was awesome and we enjoyed it from beginning to end. The energy put into these productions is amazing. Choreography was excellent. Timing was suburb. The lead woman vocal had a voice that was unbelievable. She sang some Broadway songs and was superb. The very last day were 3 men doing Motown, called themselves HORIZON and THEY WERE fantastic. Energetic, funny, excellent voices and songs. Got the audience up, singing and dancing right at the seats. Most of the crew was very nice. I do not want to get into that. We had state room 3174 and it was in an excellent location. Ocean view. Only two major complaints about the room. No shelves, none and only three drawers. Check out the picture. They could have easily made six drawers instead of only three deep drawers. You have no need for deep drawers. On the right side of the desk table they could have easily put shelving. We put things on the window sill and on the desk. Tiny desk. But if they had shelves next to it you could have put the books on it instead of the window sill to make some room to read the daily items. The “head” (Bath room) was very nice. The shower was excellent. Water got hot for the shower almost instantly. Large and comfortable to shower in. No plastic drape “to stick to you”. I totally recommend this ship for a comfortable and excellent cruise to enjoy. So bon voyage! Enjoy, Happy Cruising! Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We had not been to St. Lucia. This cruise was port heavy with 5 in a row. However two days at sea on the way down and 2 days on the way back. We were with another couple who had not sailed with Celebrity before, This was our fifth cruise with Celebrity. We flew to Ft. Lauderdale and had a day to explore in the city. We went on the Jungle Queen tour and it was great. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn. Embartation was really smooth no problems. We booked two excursions with celebrity, two with Shore excursioneers, one with Glory tours in Barbados and golfing in Barbados. All the ports wer good. Barbados was the worse with a very long pier and long lines. Ship was a little late getting cleared. Best Cruise director and activities director we have ever had. Eddy, Pete. Bradley and Stephen. The entertainment was excellant had two production shows and the rest guest entertinors. We did not do any specialty dining. We had early seating in main dining. Our wait staff Randolf, Devon Mahir and Rakesh were great. Food was good as well as the buffet for breakfast and lunch. St. Marteen excursions. My wife and iI did the flavors of St. Mrteen tour. There were twelve of us and it was great. Stopped at 3 local Restuarants and had eats at each. We also toured the whole island. It was well run. Would highly rcommend this tour. This was booked through Celebrity. Our friends had booked the double decker bus tour. There were alot on this tour and it was crowded They had to sit it a seat that was facing backwards. Kind of disappointing. This was also booked though Celebrity. St. Kitts we booked the scenic railway tour. This was also through Celebrity. It was good and would recommend to do this. Free drinks. Barbados the wives booked a private tour with Glory tours and really likes it. Would use Glory tours again. The guys went golfing at the Barbados golf club. They have a ship special for $90.00 usd for clubs and cart. Not a bad course. It will cost you $100.00 round tripand wil take about 30 minutes to grt there so give yourself time. St. Lucia was with Shore excursioneers. We did the tram in the rainforest,Alex our gude was very good and entertaining. The tram is open sided but goes and a slow pace. Would recomend this. St Johns Antiqua was also bokked throuh Shore excursioneers. We went to a pieaple plantation, visit a house that was like a museum and the to a beach for lunch and entertainment. It was fine. Debarktation was fine however once you got off the ship there wer lines waiting to go through customs only 3 agents working seemed like they could have been more. Along walk so if you get out of brath or need help get wheelchair,We were flying out the same day so we selected the valet service with Celebrity. They will do your boarding passes and luggage tags for you so you do not have to find your luggage all you have to take off ship are your caryy on so you can leave ship sooner. When you get to airport all you have to do is go to security. They charge you $25.00 pre person plus the airlines bagaage fee. To us it was worth it. Great cruise and great Cruise line. We have been on the Equinox the last two years and the Reflection did not dissapoint us. Read Less

The rest of the cruise had some great weather and smooth sailing. Ship is very nice, cabin was good...enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony. Food was great,if you were hungry it was your own fault. Our head server was awesome, one of the best we have ever had. He took very good care of us and his suggestions were on spot. Entertainment was awesome, we were never disappointed in any of the shows we attended. We enjoyed dancing and listening to the great music that was provided. The house band was great. It's a pleasure to have live music for dancing. Our cabin steward was great, he keep our cabin in top shape and we enjoyed seeing the little chocolates when we returned each evening. I other words we had a great time. Read Less

We had chosen this trip to fit in with our cruise on Celebrity Edge, so it was about timing rather than itinerary. We were lucky enough to have sailed this itinerary before, so knew what to expect. Sailing from the new Celebrity terminal at Port Everglades was really wonderful, and so straightforward, We were in a Sky Suite, so were able to take advantage of the dedicated drop off area, and had access to the Retreat Lounge in the terminal, which is beautiful, but boarding was so quick that we didn't have time to take advantage of it! The ship is great, and familiar. The dark wood and some of the decor is starting to feel a little old fashioned, particularly in light of what is happening with the makeover the fleet is having, but is none the less modern, with a great crew. Our cabin was an S1 Sky suite on the back corner which had ample space, a large balcony, and a bath. The balcony also had sun a lot of the time which was a real benefit. We ate mainly in Luminae, which as ever, was wonderful. Great service, the whole team were friendly and efficient, my only slight niggle was that the menu is fairly limited. We spent one night in Tuscan Grill, and one in Murano, both of which were great, but it is probably time that the menus were given a makeover. The Martini bar was an absolute highlight, great service, and a great atmosphere. The itinerary is not great, but I think this is a horses for courses thing - I'm not a fan of excursions, but like to be able to get off an wonder around the area near the ship, which you couldn't really do in a lot of these ports, but we knew this before sailing, so it wasn't an issue, we stayed on board for a lot of them. For all getting on the ship was a breeze, getting off the ship was another matter! We were in a different terminal, and to say it was somewhat chaotic would be an understatement. Long lines and no one really seems to know what was happening. Again, we were really luck that one of the perks of our cabin was priority disembarkation - the question really were huge. Read Less

What a holiday! This was our first cruise and to say we absolutely loved it would probably be an understatement. Embarking to begin with was very easy and quick. We arrived at the port around 11am and were on the ship around half an hour later with no problems. The cabin was bigger than we had expected, I found lots of room for all our bits and bobs, travelling from Ireland meant we could only carry a maximum 23KG luggage and 10KG hand luggage so we didn't have munch as we didn't bring cabin luggage with us (the plan was to stock up at Sawgrass Mills on the way home as we had a day to kill in Miami. The ship was beautiful, a little worn in some places but not to any extend that it was going to impact on our holiday. Overall we thought it was beautiful. We took part in the insiders tour on our second sea day, I wouldn't recommend it. I thought it was a big waste of time, very expensive, hard to hear and i wasn't very happy about a group of people walking around the kitchen with no hats or gloves on. All the staff we came into contact with were amazing, so friendly, helpful and eager to please. My other half isn't a huge fan of dressing up so we only ate in the MDR three times. I couldn't fault the food but then again I couldn't fault the food at the buffet either. I found the MDR very cramped and noisy. At times it was more romantic to eat in the buffet would you believe?! The only issue i had with staff was at the jewelry auction, a gentleman spilled his glass of champagne when he walked in front of the stage and the staff thought it was hilarious. My heart broke for him as he wasn't even aware of what he was doing and i thought if he was my little grandad i'd have been so annoyed. On the other hand I did lose my bag in the Cafe with my purse in it didn't realise until the following morning. It was at guest relations, untouched! i assume due to staff handing it in. We had a classic drink package which was more than enough for us. I tried almost every cocktail on the menu but even at 29 and 31 years of age we found ourselves in bed by 10.30 each night as we were exhausted! We never had to wait more than 2mins for a drink at any bar or at the coffee shop and we found the bar staff particularly polite and friendly. The singers and the shows on board were very good we went to 2 shows in the theater and the St. Patricks day songs the night before the big day. It was good- as Irish people we always find it funny how Danny Boy is considered an Irish song when its not lol but we enjoyed it :) the dancing on the other nights was amazing! Spending St. Patricks day in Costa Rica was one of my favourite days. It rained rather heavy and I think it just made our experience of the rainforset. I had a laugh at people trying to obtain a refund on their excursions as the weather was so bad, at home we would call that 'a wee drop a rain.' All our excursions were booked through Celebrity, as first timers we were too sacred not too. I found them very well organised and all tour guides very good. It might sound silly but I loved how the constantly updated you on how long it was until the next restroom stop/ eating time. We found the activities and the shops catered for an older clientele which makes sense as we were certainly in the minority on the ship- not that we minded. We took part in some of the activities. I'm sure I've left loads out but overall we had an amazing time, i'd read the whole of the internet before we left! And was particularly worried about a few bad reviews but it is what you make it and we made it amazing. We got engaged in Cozumel so Reflection will always have a special place in our hearts! Big Mike is and his music was just exceptional and the shows were spectacular . We loved the not the three tennors and the acrobat shows which were stunning. All the staff were kind and helpful. the food also excellent and so much of it. There were plenty of activities for you to join in if you wished. Embarkation and disembarkation was smooth with good security arrangements . Our cabin Stewart attended to our every need and was very helpful with showing us the ropes . Everything we had wished for was there and catered for. I had reason to use the medical centre which was very through and I would particularly like to thank Dr Mistry who got me back on my feet so I could enjoy my holiday We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have booked two more cruises Read Less

This was our 2nd cruise with celebrity and our 14th cruise overall. Both my husband and I agreed that this was the best yet. The ship, staff, food and accommodation were superb. Excellent value for money. The only downside of the trip was the weather in New Orleans as it was very cold and we didn’t expect it. Not to worry though, once we had layered up the atmosphere of the Mardi Gra more than made up for this. The staff on board couldn’t do enough to help us and make our trip great. All were very friendly. They were fab. There was an excellent choice of entertainment going on so we had lots of choice each night. Wales were playing Scotland in the six nations and the game was screened on board. Fab. We would definitely recommend the Reflection to our friends and family and will be booking again soon. We booked this cruise for the opportunity to see Mardi Gras and New Orleans and Grand Cayman. The Reflection was a very nice boat, very clean and well-maintained. Our cabin steward Richard was absolutely outstanding. The cruise director Eddy Jenkins was also a plus. His "10 things" talks in the Reflection Theater were better than any of the shows we saw which were contrived and ridiculously loud. The comedian Rich Aronovitch was decent. The staff captain also gave a talk on how the ship works which was really interesting and enlightening. All of the Live Music was mediocre and incredibly and needlessly loud, with the exception of the Emotions Duo. They were very talented and entertaining and you could listen to them without earplugs. The volume of all music and shows on cruise ships has gotten out of hand. Loud doesn't mean exciting and it certainly doesn't mean good. Our first night in New Orleans we opted for the Palm Court Jazz Café show and dinner. While it was grossly overpriced, we were able to apply a cruise account credit to take some of the sting out of it. Despite the cost it was a great experience I would recommend. The music was great and the food was really delicious. Short bus ride to the restaurant and back to the boat. The next day we opted for the Oak Alley Mansion tour. A total waste of time. You will spend most of the time on a bus seeing nothing much and then get very little time to explore the actual site which I think would be a worthwhile experience if you could see it without any time constraints. We expressed our displeasure with Celebrity and they refunded half of the cost. That evening we took a relatively short walk up Julia Street directly off the boat to take in the Orpheus parade. Really something to see. Collected our first of many beads. On Fat Tuesday we opted to just walk up to the French Quarter and check out the Mardi Gras celebration there. On the way we saw part of the Zulu and Rex parades. If you are a walker this is the best way to see the French Quarter in my opinion. We probably walked a total of five miles round trip. We had plotted out a path on Google and followed a Fodor's guide to the French Quarter to make sure we saw the main attractions. We went as far as the French Market on Decatur and would have taken in the Jazz Museum but it was closed on Fat Tuesday. One thing you must do is go to the Café Du Monde on Decatur St. and have their coffee and some beignets. The line might be out the door but it moves quite fast and it is so well worth it. The coffee is outstanding and the beignets are really delicious. And as a plus you will be covered in powdered sugar when you leave:) On thing to keep in mind while in the French Quarter on Fat Tuesday is that there are no bathrooms except for the port-a-johns on the official parade routes on Canal St. The parades do not go into the French Quarter. Only impromptu jazz bands appear in the French Quarter. Restaurants in the French Quarter have bathrooms but you have to buy something and the lines will be long anyway. Regarding the atmosphere on Fat Tuesday it was nothing but pleasurable and entertaining. I expected drunks and nefarious activity. There was none of that, just people having fun and enjoying the day. Grand Cayman is a tender. On a previous cruise we could not tender due to rough seas so it was nice to see it finally. It was a decent port, but do not waste your time or your money on the Cayman Highlights tour. It is nothing but a 2 1/2 hour advertisement for the Rum store, the Camana Bay development and some cheesy gift shop in the town of Hell. You will spend a grand total of five minutes on Seven Mile beach which is the only worthwhile site. Cozumel we saw before and did not go on any excursions. Overall an enjoyable cruise on a nice ship with good food, a great cabin steward, obnoxiously-loud mediocre live music and a great port stop in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Read Less
