We wanted to end up in Dublin as one of us has a relative there and wanted to visited . We had not seen them in about 9 years. The cruise itself was excellent. Progressive Trivia was a big draw. We finished in the middle of the pack but made some good, new friends. George Latrou was the captain and Simon Akinwolere was the cruise director. Both were excellent as was the entertainment and the amount of acivities. The staff service was particularly excellent. We started with early dining but found it too early plus we didn't like the location of our table. We switched to Anytime dining and found it to be a great decision. Our waiters were fighting over us to wait on us. The orgnization of the crew staffing Anytime Dining was impressive. They communicated with the Matre'd as to when used tables were reset and available for new diners. Very impressive and a great plus for us. Read Less

We have done three previous cruises but this was our first on Celebrity. Loved it. The ship was beautiful and lots of different bars to try. The entertainment was good every evening and the Solent disco was very popular. Our room was a balcony on floor 6 with an obstructed view. The view was fine if you just looked out. Down view was blocked partially by the lifeboat but that did not cause us any issues. Our room was on the hump - so the balcony had one longer and two chairs and a table. It was very spacious. Our room steward Calvin was fantastic. Michael, Lazar and Anthony took good care of our food and drink needs in the main dining room. I have a number of allergies and I ate in the main dining room Opus every evening - food was very good and I would give my ore-order each night in advance and nothing was any trouble. We had onboard credit so organised 3 shore excursions via celebrity - we didn’t find them really any more expensive than booking direct. We had the free classic drinks package - we just paid to upgrade some drinks which were over the $9 limit and this worked out better than upgrading the whole package. Service was very good throughout. Gym facilities very good and always able to find a lounger on sea days. Read Less

Firstly I would like to say 'OH MY GOD THAT WAS SO AWESOME'! I cant wait to book my next cruise. Huge thanks to everyone who works on board this ship, just about each and every one of you contributed to our fantastic experience and you all deserve a big thank you from myself and my family, in particular our Personal Room Attendant Romeo and also our Head Waiter Peter. They were both the MVP's in our experience. Pretrip Advice You most definitely need at LEAST a 'Classic Drinks Package' and 'Basic Internet Package’ minimum if you are going to enjoy your cruise at all. On average we drank around 8 cocktails and beers each per day (4-5 around the pool area during the day and 2-3 in the evening during and after the shows) and around 4-5 soft drinks and 2 glasses of wine at dinner. Without a drinks package that is going to sting you hard on a 10 day cruise! And remember, on a Drinks Package the only limitation you have is your appetite! Drink as much as you can without feeling guilty at all! The Classic Drinks package entitles you to anything on the cocktail menu priced up to $8 or $9, most standard beers and glasses of ordinary wine. Without the internet you will find yourself pretty much secluded from the rest of the world however the basic internet package is VERY VERY SLOW and forget youtube or netflix, even instagram is patchy at best. The ATM is on Deck 3, you'll need to withdraw wads of cash before Port Calls because the Caribbean Islands are expensive - or at least everybody who lives there has their main priority in life to try and obtain as much out of a cruise passenger as possible and that means inflated taxi prices (expect $10-20 or more for a short journey per person). However if you are paying for excursions you will need less. But the excursions are super expensive so we opted for private or ad hoc tours (we paid our own taxis basically). Dont worry too much about mosquitos, they only really come out around sunset and by then you are on the ship and far away at sea! There are soooo many events and activities happening on the ship from 8am through to past midnight that it is mind boggling to keep up with everything, so have a quick scan of every day's events in advance and choose what you are keen on doing rather than just going around in limbo not knowing whats happening. Download the APP to keep track of everything. And the Attendant will drop off a schedule in the evening so carry that around with you just in case. Smoking areas are on Deck 5 Starboard side (2 areas) and also on one side of Deck 15. There are fantastic kids groups onboard, for teens and also for younger kids. Our 11 year old really enjoyed hanging out with the Kids Club and actually asked to go there whenever he had the chance. You dont need any towels for this cruise - even on excursions you are given towels to use. You only need toothpaste, shaving cream and personal items really as flannels, soap, shampoo and lotions are all provided. Island Tips: Antigua has great beaches but scruffy town and rural areas. Avoid. We spent the day at Ffryes beach but we could ideally have done 2 beaches ($40 taxi ride for 4 of us there and the same back). Barbados has amazing beaches - we spent the day on Pirate Cove and there is a whole stretch of amazing beaches walkable around that area. You can even walk there from the ship! We also did a Turtle and snorkelling session ($80 for 4 of us). Taxi there and back was $16 each way for 4 of us. St Lucia has no great beaches to speak of, we looked. It's also really shabby, we did however do the mudbaths which was interesting (but it smells!) - skin felt great afterwards. If I went back I would probably do a hike or see the rainforest or something, a driving tour is a bit dull as it's a bit shabby generally everywhere and the Pitons are nice to look at for around 20 minutes. Tour cost through Viator $170 for 4. St Kitts has some great beaches and is a stunning looking island - we went to Cockleshell Bay which was lovely and has 2 beach bars - we had lunch at one of them which was pretty decent. Taxi was $40 each way for 4 of us. St Kitts and St Maarten and well worth a repeat visit. St Maarten was our favourite island - it is really nicely developed and has amazing beaches - we went to Kim Sha beach, there is a nice restaurant there too (The Green Room) but we could have also gone to Maho Beach to see the airplanes landing which we missed unfortunately. Decks There are 16 decks on the ship or really only 14 that can be used (Theres no deck 13 and no deck 1 available to public). Most of them are stateroom levels but the ones we used the most are levels 3, 4, 5, 9, 14 and 15. The ship seems huge on arrival, especially if you haven't been on a cruise before but you quickly discover the areas you prefer. Deck 2 is the debarkation deck for exiting the ship during the Port calls. The nice thing about coming back from Port Calls is that Celebrity are on hand with fresh cucumber water and iced towels. They issue all guests with ship cards which basically act like a form of ID and also credit cards - so anything you buy gets scanned on your card and also it is used to verify your identity on port calls. DO NOT LOSE THIS - IT IS BASICALLY YOUR MEANS OF PAYMENT and the only thing you really need aboard ship. Deck 3 has the Guest Services and Excursions Desks as well as half the space dedicated to the Opus dining area which is where we had our evening meals. A band or musicians are usually based by the central elevator locations playing anything from classic rock tunes to upbeat disco tunes to jazz or violin, sometimes they have a DJ but it's the bands in the evening who are the pick of the music in the Grand Foyer. With the lifts whizzing up and down, the band playing, the terraces bustling and the shops and restaurants jostling for space it does seem very elegant and exciting, particularly at night. Deck 4 has the upstairs of the Opus dining area and the Theatre lower seating levels mostly. Then there is the Martini Bar and the Casino! Cellar Masters is a quiet wine specialty seating lounge. There is a shop promenade where you can purchase things like alcohol and clothing. The conference centre was holding an art exhibition and the Celebrity Central was where they had some games, quizzes and small events. Deck 5 is where you will find most of the specialty restaurants, the World Class Bar, Photo Gallery, Boutique shops and the top entrance to the Theatre. There is also the Ensemble Lounge Bar and a Coffee Bar area called Cafe Albacio. On Decks 6-10 there isn’t anything really other than the Hideaway (a place to sit in quiet) and the Library (free books to read). Deck 12 is the Spa and gym (they have free Saunas as part of the gym - wish we could have gone!) Deck 14 is the Pool Deck with 2 pools and a handful of jacuzzis, and the Ocean View Cafe where a buffet is served throughout most of the day and pool bars where we spent half our time. The Sky Observation Lounge is also where they have Karaoke and some Silent Discos, it is a nice generally quiet bar most of the time. There is also an Indoor Solarium pool mainly for adults with jacuzzis too. The main pool deck is a bit of an annoyance - people tend to think they can reserve their decks chairs close to the pool by leaving a peg on the chair and bugger off for the day. This really annoyed us. They need to implement a no peg rule. Deck 15 has seating around the overlook to the pool, a burger grill and some bars and the kids zone is based here. The best part of this deck is the back of the ship The Sunset Bar where the view is spectacular for sipping cocktails and the Lawn Club where they do an outdoor cinema some nights Theres a basketball court at the front but it’s a bit of a novelty item. And of course right at the top is deck 16 but its pretty boring up there as it’s just a sun lounging deck really and a place for special events like weddings. Read Less

Amazing first cruise - room 1623 spotless and fantastic housekeeping team. Dining staff were always happy and respectful and couldn’t do enough for us. Spotless ship, amazing entertainment and couldn’t fault a thing. Room 1623 - previous reviews state tv issue not being in front of bed, but in front of sofa... the tvs turn using clips at the back, so can watch in bed if you want to! Food excellent, and would book again tomorrow. Excursions were great, and easy if you want the no hassle approach, although I’m sure cheaper if book independently, but that’s a personal choice. Dress code - not ott, but was nice to dress up in the evenings, but not feel uncomfortable. Plenty of bars and seats and we never struggled for a sun lounger even on sea days. Towels always well stocked and clean. Pool staff worked non stop. Memorable experience and will book again. Read Less

We enjoyed everything about this cruise. The staff were amazing, ports were fun and the ship was beautiful. We had wonderful weather and we found all the ports very easy to navigate. We opted to do beach trips on our own and even though our son is in a wheelchair we found the taxis in each destination very easy to use. Our accessible cabin was very roomy and our stateroom attendant Nike was so efficient and accommodating. He made lots of fun towel animals for our son and left us beach towels each night on port days which was so helpful. The food on the ship was superb - for the entire cruise we chose to have a meal in the main dining room Opus and then the next night we would go to a speciality dining restaurant. In Opus our waiters Agus and Charles were fabulous, so quick, kind and smiley. All the speciality restaurants were great too - Qsine was a lot of fun, food in Tuscan was very good and Murano was up to scratch too but our favourite was the lawn club (thank you Goran). Ocean view was always clean with lots of choice. Buddi at breakfast time was such a delight and so kind to our son. We found the classic drinks package more than adequate and there wasn’t any problem getting a drink around the pool in the afternoon. We participated in some of the family activities hosted by the kids club and my son really enjoyed them. Patti and her team were so lovely and friendly. Noah loved meeting the Easter bunny at the Easter carnival and water games were a lot of fun, Entertainment was geared more to the adults than the children but we loved the production shows - Elysium was just amazing! We also had a lot of fun going to game shows hosted by Stephen (great tache) and Peter and we enjoyed listening to live music around the pool. My son really enjoyed the silent disco which was a new experience for me too! The staff in the shops were lovely. The ladies in Tiffany & Co were very helpful and Sergio in the art gallery was so sweet. The only negatives I can think of is that they could have done with cranking the air con up in the gym and we had problems initially with getting the Californian Chardonnay in Opus on our first night but other than that it was perfect. We met lots of lovely, kind people on the ship and we would love to go on another celebrity cruise in the future. Read Less

Southern itinerary. Nice time of year to cruise from Fort Lauderdale because many ships have repositioned so the ports are not crowded with other ships. Service in Luminae was superb. The Skye Suite cabin 2163 is well positioned in the "bulge" so limited noise from above and very near the midship elevators. (Other suite locations on deck 12 complained of being awakened by early morning chair scraping noises from the pool deck above. So, if you are a light sleeper considering a Skye Suite, be cognizant of what is located above the cabin). There are no electrical outlet by the bed, so extension cord going across the room is necessary if using a CPAP machine at night. It's hard to believe that the engineers missed that one when designing the cabins. Good entertainment. The crew is happy and there is a good positive vibe all over the ship. The casino has raised minimum table stakes from $5 to $10 so the casino was very empty most of the time. If you enjoy gambling, this most likely is not the ship for you. Busy places on the ship are the coffee bar and the gelato bar. Both are excellent. We are experienced cruisers (76) and honestly had no complaints. We enjoyed the ship and booked a crossing on it in the same cabin for 2020 which is a pretty good indication of our level of satisfaction. Read Less

This was our 17th cruise and the 6th on Celebrity. We are completely appreciative of the job that Celebrity does making each trip special. The staff on the Reflection was exceptional and exceeded all of our expectations greatly. Our Room Attendant Dedy was superb. Was thoughtful, respectful and very efficient. Our waiters and assistant waiters, Jessee and Arnold were also terrific. They helped to make our cruise memorable. The entertainment was good, but I felt it had been better in previous years. The live music onboard was very good and we enjoyed most night going to the theater, then listening to whatever music venue was available. Our Cabin was immaculate as was the restaurant and common areas. We had been on most of the excursions before, so we enjoyed the time we spent in each town exploring the culture. Our Cruise Director Eddy Jenkins was good. As was his Activities Manager Pete. The food was wonderful. A good mixture of different offerings each night to keep even the most finicky palates satisfied. The Ocean Grill was good and a large variety was offered there each and every day. All in All we are very loyal to Celebrity! I can't think of another cruise line that does it any better! Read Less

We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the ABC Islands and it did not disappoint. The Refelection is a beautiful ship. We had great weather, calm seas and the food and staff were wonderful. Passengers were frientdly and interesting and came from all parts of the world. The entertainment on board was excellent - great shows with talented singers and dancers. There was also live music throughout the ship every evening, which made for plenty of great nightlife. The islands we visited were great - Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire - beautiful beaches and shopping. Bonaire was great for snorkling and scuba diving. We also stopped at Cartagena, Columbia which was great fun. We took a shore excursion with Celebrity which included a tour of the walled city and a wonderful boat ride with lvie music, drinks and entertainment. Overall we would highly recommend Celebrity. This was our 6th cruise with them and we will definitely contineue to cruise Celebirty in the future! Read Less

I give the Celebrity Reflection a 98% positive report. It was refurbished 2018 and now looks like brand new. They did a great job. We do not do the dining rooms any more, just the buffets. Ramesh, the head chef, was awesome. Anything you wanted he will take care of. He always asked if everything is good. No it was not good, everything was fantastic. The food on the buffet was excellent each and every day. Choices were abound. Everything we ate was delicious. (Take notice Celebrity Edge. There the food was never any good) On the Reflection, Tables were kept clean of dirty dishes FAST! Sometimes just eating the last item on the plate and they were right there taking it away. The ice cream was excellent. So many different flavors each day. Spotless, always cleaning any mess right away. Those that clean the tables were so wonderful and nice. Always a nice smile and a little conversation. Only one looked like she did not like her job, our room steward was one of them, did as little as she could. One bar server for the buffet was Muhammad, you would think he was doing this for years. He was the “new guy”. Started in February. He was awesome. Right on the ball. A great smile and a great person. So comfortable with his job and always made us feel welcome. What more could you ask for. He was wonderful. Another person was a bartender at the Passport Bar, Sreejith. I like a drink made a specific way. 5 different items with a specific amount of each. After making it once. No need to tell him how the next time. What a wonderful person, a smile always and very friendly. All three of these people are excellent assets to the Celebrity cruise line. They all deserve to be recognized by Celebrity for the great jobs they are doing that reflect the cruise line. Now for the entertainment. This was an 11 day cruise. Every show was excellent accept one. There were three women to do Motown and they destroyed every song by doing it their way and screaming not singing. Ballads were screaming and jazzed way up. Half the time you could not even recognize the song. The live band was fantastic, the Celebrity singers and dancers were excellent to say the least. They had one production called MAXX. Had no idea what that would be. It was awesome and we enjoyed it from beginning to end. The energy put into these productions is amazing. Choreography was excellent. Timing was suburb. The lead woman vocal had a voice that was unbelievable. She sang some Broadway songs and was superb. The very last day were 3 men doing Motown, called themselves HORIZON and THEY WERE fantastic. Energetic, funny, excellent voices and songs. Got the audience up, singing and dancing right at the seats. Most of the crew was very nice. I do not want to get into that. We had state room 3174 and it was in an excellent location. Ocean view. Only two major complaints about the room. No shelves, none and only three drawers. Check out the picture. They could have easily made six drawers instead of only three deep drawers. You have no need for deep drawers. On the right side of the desk table they could have easily put shelving. We put things on the window sill and on the desk. Tiny desk. But if they had shelves next to it you could have put the books on it instead of the window sill to make some room to read the daily items. The “head” (Bath room) was very nice. The shower was excellent. Water got hot for the shower almost instantly. Large and comfortable to shower in. No plastic drape “to stick to you”. I totally recommend this ship for a comfortable and excellent cruise to enjoy. So bon voyage! Enjoy, Happy Cruising! Read Less

Usually we cruise RCCL but decided on Reflection to try a 10 day itenerary that suited us.We arranged our entirer vacation through Celebrity. Precruise hotel was overrated and pick up arrangements made by Celebrity from hotel to pier was a disaster. Driver was late! Very late and we received no info at all. We arrived at the pier and boarded barely in time for the muster drill! Missed out on all the fun of embarkation days photos, party mood etc.Huge disappointment that naturally had an impact on our entire cruise vacation. Our first impression of our cabin was horrific. Not properly cleaned so we had to complain about this first hand. Everything taken care of, but seriously bad. Overall impression of ship was good but no wow effect involved - compared to previous cruise ships. But very clean and shiny everywhere. Our nice balcony cabin was enjoyed on sea days. On all port days, there was maintenance carried out on life boats right below our balcony from early morning! Dust and cleaning fumes made it impossible for us to use our balcony during port days. This was brought to GR attention who apologized, but this also made a huge impact to our cruise happiness. Dining was not a hit in MDR. The food was mediocre in comparison with RCCL in our opinion. Unseasoned and tasteless. Nicely presented however. Sommelier never managed to poor our wine in time for the meals arrival. Only on the last night she managed this. Classic beverage package lacking info on what beverages actually were included. Bartenders seemed stressed and overworked. Entertainment in theater was fine but not great. Musicians and singers onboard however, were outstanding and we enjoyed them very much. Excursions were good, but lacking organising on land for guiding guests correctly. Service in ports prior to reboarding ship was nice, offering cold cloths and drinks is a nice gesture and superior to Rccl. Specialty restaurants cover charges are way overpriced. Tried Murano and liked it but still think cover charges were too high. When disembarking back in FL we lacked information for post cruise pick up arrangements. A massive crowd of confused guests and no organisation made us feel uncomfortable. Travelled as a youthfull happy couple +60, experianced travellers and cruisers. We will not choose Celebritiy again. Sorry. Read Less
