The cruise was great, services were great. Food was great. Just a great vacation overall. Love the balcony ocean view and the room was fantastic. This is my 4th cruise, 2nd on Royal Carribean and I love the service and food on Royal. I highly recommend Royal Carribean and love the effort that is put in to make our vacation enjoyable. This was our vacation for the year and could not have been happier for the cost and the value of our vacation for this cruise. The specialty restaurants were fantastic and the only complaint I may have is that I ate too much food. :-) Took in a few shows - the best one was the diving show, we also took in the CATS show however this was not for me as I am just into musicals. We loved the trip so much that I have already booked my next cruise! Read Less

Dining rooms very nice, liked our waiter and assistant very much, genuinely nice people, great job. very organized getting on and off ship. Buffet really good, desserts excellent. The room attendant was friendly and kept the room very clean. Had lot fun on excursions. Liked the the NBA basketball games were on, glad did not have to miss that. Gym was excellent. Only negative I can think of is the cabin doors were really loud when people shut them, woke us up. Not sure anything can be done about that, not really that big a deal. Liked the pay movies. Would definitely recommend to friends, Really enjoyed whole experience. Thank you. Hong and Jeff Read Less

Wanted to experience the true Complete Vacation that is offered by Royal Caribbean on their Oasis Class Ship. Amazing how well Royal Caribbean handles a completely Sold out Vessel that holds 6500 passengers. The Embarkation and Disembarkation was the smoothest I've ever experience. The design of the ship was well thoughtout as you never felt crowded or Rushed. The flow of passengers moved efficently. The variety of Entertainment choices afforded us multiple choices in many different areas of the ship also afforded easy access. The Dining Room was very warm and appealing. The Waiter and Bus Boy worked together like a well oiled machine. There were times when it appeared that they were waiting on the kitchen that was no reflection on them. The layout of the outdoor pools with space between them made appearance of never being crowded. Thank you enforcing that any child not 100% potty trained was only allowed in 1 specified pool. Loved the Solarium area for the Adults, It was quiet and very much utilized. The Pool could have been a little larger, as it did get a little close quarters a couple of times. There were many passengers onboard with Scooters. Possibly they could have a designated elevator as some had to wait for 4 or more cars to stop before they could get on. We used the Valet Luggage Service for the 1st time. Cannot speak Highly enough about how smooth that made our return home. It takes away any Stress! Read Less

The ship has amazing areas were you can enjoy a fantastic time with your family. The kinds in our group enjoyed the different areas for them like the boardwalk. I enjoyed the casino with plenty slots to play. The good deals on jewelry are awesome too. Ports and shores offer many things to do outside the cruise and different activities to enjoy your day. Loved the day at the beach, shopping, pictures and rides at Haiti. Also great barbecue food provided by the cruise staff in the island of Labadee. Also, the service and food on the My-Time-Dining was excellent. My wife and I are telling all our friends and family how great the service was. We like so much the service and attention from all in the ship that we already booked 2 more cruises. We are looking for 1 or 2 cruises a year. Please be sure to let them know how much their services are appreciated. I was planning to take a lazy week at sea (3 cruising days) to rest from the toils of work. Well, I was wrong. There is so much to do and the shoes are great that I need a vacation to rest from the vacation.  The people on the Royal Caribbean cruises are wonderful. Read Less

I went on this Toyal Caribbean: Oasis of the seas cruise with an organization. It was my first time cruising and I absolutely loved it! The ship was so beautiful! I was blown away! The FOOD!! Oh my goodness! I had a little too much fun with that! The variety was unbelievable and so delicious. The shows!! Yes! These are shows that would be so expensive on land in a theater somewhere, but accessible on this ship for free! The spa and shopping were also great. The excursions... so we went to st Maarten, Puerto Rico and Haiti! I loved the first two stops. They were beautiful and raw! We got to walk the streets like locals and really see the area. The stop in Haiti, however, was not as real and raw. It was more of a “created” place! We didn’t get to actually go into the real and raw parts of Haiti. So I pretty much didn’t learn anything from the Haiti stop. Don’t like that at all. The over all experience was one I’ll never forget! This was such an awesome trip! I’m definitely doing this again! I really enjoyed Haiti, the private area was breathtakingly beautiful and the floating cocktail bar was a blast! While on San Juan, we went to the historic National Fort and the view was spectacular. Learning about the historical significance of this fort during World War ll was great. And what’s not great about St Martin? The water was crystal clear, shopping was great and the island people very kind. This cruise was a graduation celebration for our daughter, and the crew were so thoughtful and decorated her cabin and her door! I also got to see Cats while onboard, and had THE BEST food ever! We just got off of Oasis of the Seas this past Sunday. There were six of use including two children (3 & 5) and my wife's parents who are in their late sixties. This was our first RC cruise. We have done Disney a couple of years ago and my wife and I did a carnival cruise 13 years ago. We arrived at MCO the day before and used Ace Luxury Transportation to transfer all of use to our hotel at Port Canaveral. I cannot say enough about Ace. They get great reviews and we had used them on our last Disney cruise. Communication is great and they are always inside the airport near the baggage claim holding a sign with your name. Uber is probably cheaper but i do all of the trip planning for the group so it just takes a level of stress away knowing that someone is waiting and can help me move all the luggage. This cruise had three port stops (St. Martin, San Juan, Labadee) and three full days at sea. We have never been to Labadee but have been to the others. I purposely booked this cruise because with the sea days it would be less moving around. With the young kids and the grandparents having some mobility/endurance issues i figured it would be more relaxing using the ship as the destinations. The first two days were sea days. We loved it. We could relax. The kids enjoyed the pool and of course the ice cream cones. The kids tried out the kid zone and my oldest loved it but my youngest became clingy and never went back. More on that later. The first morning we did a character breakfast with the kids. THey loved it. All the characters came around to the tables for pictures and dancing. The only complaint was the food service was really off that morning. I ordered an egg white omelette and took and hour to get it. When it arrived it was completely wrong. I am not picky so i was going to eat it because i did not want to wait for another. I took one of the kids to the bathroom and when i got back my wife had returned it. Never saw another one. A couple of other families had left because their younger kids grew restless while all the adults were waiting for food. Its a small complaint because i was not there to enjoy my breakfast. We were there for the kids and their food was quick and they loved it. So mission accomplished in my books. St Martin - we did the Capt Bobs boat excursion not booked through RC. JLMoran did a great review on them. I can second his review. Worth every cent. Food was good. Plenty of beer, water and soda. My wife is mostly vegan so they made here a separate meal which she liked. Capt was friendly and with 6 others on the boat besides us there was plenty of room. Capt Bob said since we had the small kids he put us with the smaller group which was nice for EVERYONE! Kids did great. We rented a house 4 years ago on St. Martin at Bay Rouge near Donald Trumps investment property. I had told our Capt about it and he made a stop there so we could see it. The destruction to the area and the whole island is horrible to see. Knowing what it looked like before and seeing it now made us sad. We love St. Martin and hope they are able to bounce back. San Juan - We went to the fort by Uber. Super easy. The kids enjoyed it. My kids love pirates so they were in heaven. AFter that Kids and grandparents went back to the ship. ALl needed naps from our long day at St. Martin. My wife and I went for a couple of drinks and some food. I found a place online called Casa Melaza casamelaza.com. The owners were great. We tried a flight of different rums and ended up buying a couple of bottles of Barralito 3 star. There is no distribution off of Puerto Rico of this rum. Owners said most of their business is from the hotels not the ships. It is just a few steps off of the road from all the shopping. I found that odd. If anyone is interested it is worth your stop and their prices are good. Owners were super friendly and had a great chat with them. Labadee - We rented a over the water cabana at Nellie's beach. Awesome!!! Luckily i bought this on a black friday sale for $395. I think i saw it for $525 at one point. Having a little cover from the sun was great. We got the first one since it was closest to the water and the least steep entrance. The farther ones are more private but this worked for us the best. Service was great. Golf cart to anywhere we wanted to go. I walked most places but the grandparents appreciated the rides. I bought an all day roller coaster pass. We can have a free passenger. My son went a few times with me and my wife went once. It was a lot of fun. Dining - We did the MDR for dinner all but one night. We were tired after St. Martin so we just did Wind Jammers that night. MDR service was excellent. Loved our servers. They were great with the kids. Food was good. Some things better than others but no real complaints. It was nice to sit down as a family and TRY and teach the kids some manners. We messed up the first formal night. I had it stuck in my head it was the 2nd sea day not Day 2. Did not really pay attention to the cruise compass that day. MY FAULT. We had dresses and slacks and nice shirts on but when we walked in a immediately realized my mistake. We offered to go change but they said we looked great and there was no need. We saw people dressed less. In the end we had a great dinner and felt comfortable. We had suits and nice dresses on the second formal night. We had planned on following the rules for both nights but thats what i get for not paying attention. Deluxe Drink Package - I bought our for 40/day on a sale during black friday. We basically only had to have 4 cocktails to win that fight. With 3 seas days, labadee and a short san juan day it worked in our favor. Countless bottles of water, a couple of specialty coffees a day, a few extra red bulls to keep me moving and a few fresh squeezed juices thrown in there. A rough guess is that between the two of us we saved $400-500. Never felt pushed to drink nor did i fell like i was over drinking. My kids get up early so being hungover is painful. I got up and ran 3 miles 4 different days at 6 am. 4 or 5 cocktails throughout the day at the pool, 1 or 2 at dinner, and the 1 or 2 after dinner never felt to much. If a cruise was port heavy i could see not buying it. It worked for us and was nice not worrying about the end result aka the BILL. Kids Club - My oldest loved it. He is 5 but turns six the summer and when they saw him they instantly said he would be happier probably with the older kids (6-8 yo). Daughter did not but i think it was her being three more so than the activities. Having the kids separated probably hurts us a little. My daughter may have stayed if he was with her. Once you check them in they can not change locations. I liked Disneys a little better because they have less restricted hours and a little bit more free play, but my son loved it and getting back there after dinner was his first thought. The kids are able to roam freely between areas. The staff was great and my son was glowing and talking a mile a minute about what they did and the friends he met. Disembark-We walked off around 0650. Was out of the terminal by 0715. Super easy. Ace Luxury Transportation called me 4 different times to direct me to him and where he was parked. We were at the airport and through security by 0815. Flight was not till 1225. I had worried we would be pushing it. Again Ace is awesome and highly recommend. Communication was awesome and extremely helpful. Observations - -Room Attendant (Gena) was awesome. -We had room 12594 which was a superior balcony room (larger balcony on the "bump") Room was nice. Clean and relatively roomy for a cruise ship. We enjoyed the balcony. -I had read some critics on other sites about how rude everyone was on this ship (staff and guest). I did not find that at all. People were more than kind and staff was very pleasant. All staff everywhere stopped and talked to the kids. I thought the service was great. -The ship is aging but by and large looked great. A few stains in the carpet here and there but very clean. -Weather was great despite rainy Florida and returning to TS Alberto. We loved this cruise. We booked under a kids sail free promotion. It was more than half of a disney cruise of the same length. My kids never missed Disney at all. They loved the small wonders too. Had a lot of fun trying to find them. It gave mommy a few minutes to herself. I could definitely see doing another RC cruise in the future. Read Less

This was our first RCI cruise, after several on Carnival. My favorite thing was the ship's layout, which was very well designed and surprisingly efficient, considering the number of passengers. However, the staff service was very hit-and-miss. Some of the crew were amazing (our room steward and head waiter and Champagne Bar staff were all great). Some of the other staff (particularly those from Jamaica) were passive-aggressive or outright rude. Overall on the ship, I felt 'nickel-and-dimed' at every turn, which is tacky. The dining room is made to feel second class next to the "premium" restaurants, which are heavily and repeatedly advertised all over the ship. There was a constant message that "if you aren't paying extra, then you're missing out". For food, there were no decent hamburgers or tacos without paying extra in the specialty restaurants (yes, the buffet had a semblance of both at times, but the quality was sorely disappointing). In comparison, Carnival ships have both Burger and Burrito/Taco offerings, as well as Mongolian Grill and Italian restaurant options included at no extra cost, which added great value and a sense of class. Our stateroom attendant made us feel special, was genuinely caring and he had great attention to detail. Our room was spotless and he never missed a thing. He was somehow always there, but yet never underfoot (we called him our 'room ninja'). Our favorite bartenders were at the Champagne Bar. Before the cruise, I was most excited about the Irish Pub, but ends up it had the worst service on the ship, even after several attempted visits on different days, and they kept running out of things! One day no Hefeweizen (so I went to Sabor, and they had it there). The next day, no Stone IPA. And for the whole cruise, they didn't have key ingredients for many of their specialty cocktails on the menu. Drink service in the main dining room was very slow, as it would normally take 10 or 20 minutes for a glass of wine, and our drink waiter didn't know anything about wines. In Vintages (wine bar), the man working had absolutely no interest in discussing any of the wines that were included in the drink package, which we were eager to try and learn about. He only wanted to talk about $200+ bottles, or the $80 tasting event. When we politely declined his (continual) offers to up-charge us, be became very stuffy and it was apparent he couldn't wait for us to leave and go somewhere else. So we left, skipping the tapas we planned to purchase. As a whole, the bar staff on the ship worked very, very hard to accommodate all of the guests, mostly to impressive results (excusing a handful of rude crew), but it was clear that they were significantly understaffed which was wearing on them, and therefore impacting the final quality of both the drinks and the service. This could have been greatly improved with a few more hands to help during busy times. On Labadee, we weren't able to eat. One side of the island didn't have enough plates, so the line was long and wasn't moving. So we walked to the other side of the 'island', and while they had plates, the line was just as long. We checked back in an hour for the lines to die down, but they remained until it closed, so we didn't eat. (Granted, we could have stood in line for 30 minutes, but who wants to do that). Drinks were abundantly available and bar service was very quick however. The local Haitians were pushy and obnoxious every time we walked by. They would yell "hey! hey! hey! I have an important question!" to try and get us in their shop, or they would tell passing ladies how beautiful they were to try and make them stop. Some variant of this happened at least 25 times to us, so I didn't want to go that way again. For shows, the comedians were the best show the whole week! They were clever and witty, without being too crass. We watched the family and the adult show. I would have VERY MUCH enjoyed more standup comedy shows, instead of the same show repeating every night of the cruise. In conclusion, it was a very enjoyable cruise, and we are happy to have tried the world's largest cruise ship. I still think that Carnival has a better included Menu and a nicer Crew, but RCI certainly wins with the best ship! My wife loved Central Park and the large variety of well manicured plants (she is a landscape designer), and even with a full ship, it was always possible to find a quiet 'neighborhood' to get away. Thank you for a great week! Read Less

We spent time with the kids since they did not have good programs for my two kids. The programs that they had were not exciting for them as the ones that they had in the previous cruise (Disney). That can be improved by upgrading they kids and tens facilities and copying and improving programs from other cruises. Food was excellent and the service was great. I chose this Ship mainly because of the ship for our kids (ages 13 and 10) but because of the route and islands we would be going to visit. (St. Martin, Puerto Rico and Haiti) Embarking went smoothly, we only sat in the waiting area for half an hour or so, but it was nice, got to meet other people who were going on the ship, the room was full of excitement so the wait was not bad at all. De-embarking was just as smooth, walked right to our bags and threw customs in about 15 minuets. Very organized. This was my second cruise (Princes cruise ten years ago) and the Oasis was just as nice if not nicer than the last cruise. The ship was clean, the staff was friendly, our room attendant Dwayne was outstanding. He made towel animals every night and used my wife's sun glasses as part of the prop each night. The kids really enjoyed this. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean on the sixth deck or layer as my son liked to say. The room was small but fit our needs for the week. The balcony came in handy for drying out towels and swim suites. The balcony made the room feel bigger and it was nice to have the door open at night to hear the ocean. Dining was good, did not have any bad meals. We did not do any of the formal nights, we did not feel like packing the extra cloths that is the main reason for this decision. The entertainment was good. The Las Vegas Tenors were great, and the diving show was entertaining. We saw this twice. The divers are really good and the kids in the "splash zone" got wet. So if you want to get wet sit in the splash zone. The ship has 2 flow riders that the kids really enjoyed and this is a great place to sit and watch people try to fide a boogie board and not loose a swimsuit in the process. The Zip line is also fun. The excursions were that we did from the ship were fine. Would have liked to have had more time in Puerto Rico. Labade Island was nice, but you can tell how many people are on the ship when they all come to the island at the same time. We did the Jet ski tour, this is a blast, would do it again. When we were in St. Martin we did the Soualiga Destinations Boat Tour (Captain Bob). HIGHLY recommended. speed boat and snorkeling. The tour takes you all around the island, you snorkel at two different beaches and they provide lunch. A lot of fun the best part of the cruise by far. Would do a cruise again, on this ship but may choose a ship that had some water slides for the kids sake. The kids enjoyed the pools and the hot tubs. Not sure how people give negative reviews for the cruise, I guess they are negative people and never have fun. Read Less

I felt totally relaxed the entire trip. The service and staff are incredible. The ship is unbelievable, clean, up to date, with more things to do than you can possibly accomplish in 7 nights. Some of the other, more negative reviews, complain that the ship is very full and reservations are required for most things. While this is true, I feel that RCI is very up front about this and give you many opportunities to make said reservations. It's unfortunate if some people did not realize this, but even on a full cruise like mine it was still possible to get into many of the larger events without a reservation. Smaller events like the aqua show and the comedy club are a little trickier. Specialty restaurants were never full, but I'd still recommend reserving them if at all possible, especially Izumi as they only have two hibachi tables and fill up quickly. The food in the specialty restaurants was incredible and a great value. These are meals that on land would cost you $100-$200. The quality of the food, the selection, the staff, everything is top notch. I can't say the same for the main dining room, however. We had one meal in there and the food was worse than in the buffet. It's incredibly loud and the service was not up to par. I'd recommend buying the specialty restaurant package and sticking with that, supplementing with Sabor/Johnny Rockets if need be. I'd also recommend avoiding the windjammer for breakfast. The food is good enough, but the crowd is ridiculous. There are plenty of other places to eat breakfast for free that won't be such a hassle. My overall point being that even on a ship with 6,000+ people, if you manage your time wisely, make reservations for things that require them, and spend a little extra on the food/drink packages, you'll have a fantastic time. If all you're going to do is eat at the windjammer/main dining room, pay as you go for drinks, and just chill by the pool, you may want a smaller and less crowded ship. Read Less

The ports staff is just as grand! The excursions was an absolute blast! We have sailed on most of the cruise lines from Port Canaveral, but we prefer the ships, passengers, itinerary, food and entertainment on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Stateroom: We stayed in a marvelous Owner's Suite on deck 11 near the Diamond Lounge. The room size is 556 sq. ft. with a 243 sq. ft. balcony. The bathroom is spacious, has a Jacuzzi tub, two sinks, a rather small shower, a (worthless) bidet and lots of storage. Our stateroom attendant provided the "invisible service" we appreciate: place the "Make UP Room" sign on the door when leaving for meals and the room is clean when we return. The internet package for the entire cruise is provided for each person staying in the suite. Coastal Kitchen and Suite Lounge: Instead of fighting the crowds in the mail dining options, we relaxed in the luxury and gourmet foods by having breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Coastal Kitchen and drinks in the Suite Lounge next door. Service is superb and quality of the food excels many of the specialty restaurants. The filet of beef, served on the first night of the cruise, is superb!! Select beer, wine and champagne is available from 11:30 am until 11:00 pm. Mixed drinks and hors d'oeuvres are available from 4:30pm until 8:00pm each night. We were pleasantly surprised to find the Coastal Kitchen is even open for breakfast on debarkation morning. Reservations are required for dinner, so I recommend making your reservations early through the suite concierge before you board or promptly in the Coastal Kitchen after you board before the most popular times are taken. Entertainment: We made reservation for the spectacular entertainment well before boarding the ship. Oasis can’t have 6,500 passengers attending the same show at the same time. We reserved Frozen in Time, Oasis of Dreams, the Headliner Showtime, and Come Fly with Me. Sky Class guests get reserved seating at each theater. Shore Excursions: Nassau: We stopped by Cariloha to purchase new bed sheets. We were disappointed to be charged Florida sales tax for the purchase in the Bahamas. It was a short walk to Pirate Republic Brewing to enjoy their craft IPA (Island Pirate Ale). Their local pirate has a great sense of humor. The beer is fresh, cold and one-half the price you would pay on the ship. St. Thomas: We scheduled a snorkeling excursion in St. Johns at Trunk Bay. It was a very rough ride on the Island Girl ferry boat that took us to St. Johns (passengers sitting on the benches outside the cabin got wet). A number of passengers were seasick. Hurricane damage to the island and reef is readily apparent and repairs are progressing slowly. The "snack shack" in Trunk Bay is closed so there are no drinks, food or souvenirs to purchase there. (Note: The Island Girl ferry boat has a fantastic crew and great narrative is given. They did let everyone know that the Trunk Bay snack shop was closed and offered light snacks for purchase at a reasonable price. The only downside is that although the ferry did have two small but very clean bathrooms, only one was working which was insufficient for the number of people on board. Once you get off the ferry, it is only about a 15 to 20 minute beautiful open air bus ride to Trunk Bay.) Debarkation: The Concierge service escorted Sky Suites and above off the ship with no queuing. It just took our family 15-minutes from the time we left the Champagne Bar, departed the ship, picked-up our luggage, completed the Customs check and exited Cruise Terminal 1 to our car. WOW! Our family picked the cruise. There were 20 of us that went for a 50th wedding Anniversary. Cruise days by the pool, bingo, ice skating, watching dodgeball, shopping, shows. The diving and/or acrobatic shows were amazing. Ditto for the ice show. Food was awesome with 7-8 options for each course (appetizers, main course, dessert). We would order extre appetizers or desserts and share if we couldn't decide what we wanted. Drinks at On Air were my favorite. Kraken Colada yum! We met everyday at 7pm for drinks at a different bar before our 8pm dinner slot. We purchased the drink package. Cocktails are about $13, and since I don't drink beer or wine it is totally worth it. They are not light on the liquor in their cocktails. If you have 4 cocktails a day and grabbed some water bottles you have paid for your package. Be careful that not all drinks are included. Pineapple drinks and specialty glasses that come with the drink cost extra. Read Less

Chose this cruise because someone recommended it. I was not disappointed. The cabin bathrooms were a little small to move around in. The specialty restaurants were great. Chops is a fav of most for steaks however, I found Giovanni's to be superior (ask for server Salah) and the Chateaubriand at 150 Central Park is amazing as well. This is all organic and I was a little skeptical. I am so glad we gave it a chance. An added little surprise, The unsalted butter has about 6 different salts from all over the world to salt the butter with. The ship has a variety of things to do while you are sailing even when it is raining. We saw the musical Cats this first night and it was very "Broadway" and the performers were very talented with great voices. I don't want to forget Come Fly With Me which is a great short production of musical numbers. One tip...Don't sit in the balcony during this production as there are lots of aerial activities and hard to see from that angle if at all. All in all, The unlimited soda is great if you don't mind carrying a cup around which I did. you could go in and get a drink and bottled water, however, I didn't know bottled water was included until the 3rd day and felt very dehydrated due to my lack of knowledge. All in all, I would recommend this Cruise and will probably go back again. Read Less

Amazing ship with lots to do! The destinations were absolutely phenomenal. wonderful crew and friendly wait staff. The food was good in both the buffet areas and main dinning room. Everything about this ship was awesome! Nice size pool area with separate area for kids. Very very clean. This was my first cruise so i was not sure what to expect but the Oasis of the Seas blew me away with all the fun and different activities. there is something for everyone on this ship! We did Shore excursions at every port. I highly recommend the Trunk Bay snorkel excursion, it was by far the coolest thing i have ever done and see, absolutely beautiful! I was neck deep in the water and could see my feet and i am about 5'7! We got to see the most beautiful fish while snorkeling around the coral. Breath taking! If you are looking to take a cruise this is the ship you need to take it on! From the time we stepped on till we departed from the boat was an absolute blast and good time! Memories were made for a lifetime! Read Less

We’ve sailed with RCL several times and have never been disappointed. This time was no exception. The staff are all so friendly and smiling. Our room was spotless and excellent service from our room attendant, Arnaldo Carlos...enjoyed our towel animals waiting for us when we returned to our room each night. There were three couples in our family group. So nice opening up all three balcony’s so we could enjoy each other’s company from our rooms. This is the second time on Oasis and we all agreed the food was even better than the time before. The bars seem to be stocking better liquors too. We don’t do specialty dining...to me, the dining room experience is cruising. You can go to restaurants at home but on board the ship you get such special, amazing service from your dining room servers. Every show we attended was fun and entertaining. Our first stop in Nassau...taxied over to Atlantis. We gambled a bit in the casino and walked around the dock. You aren’t allowed to go into the hotel...we were a little disappointed in this. I think if you do the excursion from the ship you are allowed in. In St Thomas we shopped for a while. Others in our group went to Magen’s Bay to beach and do some snorkeling. In St Martin we had a taxi waiting for us. Reliable Rodney...we used him before and called him to meet us this time. Had a wonderful tour around the island...heartbreaking to see how the hurricane (Irma) had destroyed some of the lovely places we had seen before. Of course no trip here is complete without going to the airport. Fun watching the planes land and take off. Have a meal or snack and a drink at the Sunset Bar next to the airport...really good food and laid back service. The best things about using RCL is, great port (Port Canaveral). Easy parking and unloading luggage. Nice waiting area before boarding. Beautiful ship with so much to see and do and so clean throughout. Good ports to visit. Easy disembarkment...friendly terminal staff and pleasant custom agents. Read Less

The timing was right and there was something for everyone to do all during the day and at the ports of call. Whether you wanted to go out on your own or book it through the ship.,.our cabin was a little tight for four adults. The entertainment was phenominal. We found the Cats show was a bit long for so late in the day. It was great but we were tired and had to leave during the intermission. Service was great! Everyone we were in contact with was very professional and were happy to help us out and all with a smile! The shore excursion we took to Turtle Island was not what we all expected but we were happy to be out on a boat for a few hours. We found the currents there for snorkeling were quite strong and should have warned of such when booking. We were also told that my sister in law and I would be able to shop while the others snorkelled but this wasn't the case so were a little disappointed. All in all a great trip I would do over again. We chose this cruise because our Friends would like to do their 1st cruise in the Oasis And we like the ports Bahamas, St. Thomas And St. Maarten. We like the drink package that comes with it, the prepaid gratuities, And the internet that comes with the drink package. Plus it’s Amenities And activities on Board. Embarkation is smooth, checking in early is better to avoid the long lines and you get in the ship and get to relax. Do not bring Iron, power bars this will be confiscated and cause luggage delay. Laundry is 35$ for 1 bag ( shirts, shorts, undies and socks)which they offer on the 3rd day. Unless you are willing to pay for pressing a pair of pants would cost 6.99 for wash and press. For activities, there’s miniputt, ping pong tables, court , pools . This ship has more amenities than the Disney Fantasy. Food is better this time , more variety and tastes better. Although they can serve more seafood like mussels and shrimps in the buffet area. They have burgers and hotdogs at the wipeout cafe but it’s not grilled. I wonder why can’t they have a griller in this ship. People would have lined up more for these items if they are grilled. We bought a drink package which is very handy to order drinks from different bars at different levels. Thanks to our favorite bartenders in the Pool Bar Rupesh Bhoir( India ) , Rolin Mendoza ( Philippines) , Oleh ( Ukraine) in the Sand bar. They left a lasting impression for providing service with a smile no matter how busy it is. But our favorite is the Pool Bar the bartenders are always happy and smiles all the time. We also love the service we have at the Glibe atlas, the bartenders are nice and makes sure we get our drinks on time and the drinks are really good. With this package you can order specialty coffee and I also get my smoothies or shakes in Vitality Cafe which is really nice. I also get the free internet package. Wifi is good everywhere in the ship considering my phone was on Airplane mode the whole time. They have a gym which is really nice and a track if u want to exercise. For dining, we did the 815 pm dinner which really worked for us. Most of the time we sit in the bars in Globe Atlas or the bar that goes up and down and Schooners bar to pass the time before going to the shows. We went to a few shows we’ve seen most of them Last time . The comedy was really good!!! Thanks to Patricio Figueroa (Headwaiter ) , Jiadong( China) & Samuel ( India). They made our dining experience great and they even had a champagne toast for our friends celebrating their 30th anniversary. They went above and beyond in making sure that our meals and drinks were served in a timely manner. They are efficient and very friendly. The menu is better this time. It all tastes good. I had rack of lamb twice and they are delicious. The had 2 appetizers every time and they were all good. Entertainment was sort of a disappointment we enjoyed the music from the Band that played last oct 2017 at Dazzles and they’re not there anymore. The temperature band is OK but the music just doesn’t click to the crowd that everyone left as they were just starting to play their set. But we enjoyed miniputting, playing ping pong . There’s hardly any activities on the poolside. The Solarium restaurant is busy at lunchtime would be nice if they figure a way to separate the line from the salad bar as it gets blocked from people lining up to get food. There are times I have to get in line for the food even though I just want to get salad. Read Less

We had cruised on Oasis of the Seas last year to Eastern Caribbean and enjoyed it so much that we booked the Western Caribbean for this year. We stayed at the Residence Inn in Port Canaveral and took the shuttle to the port. The hotel was great and we were on the 1st shuttle to the ship. We walked right through and were eating at the Park Cafe within 30 minutes. The Park Cafe was not crowded and we carried our carry on luggage with us. After we ate we went to our room and it was ready for us. We had a ocean balcony cabin on the 7th deck. Edwin was our room steward and he was always nearby and kept our room immaculate. The room was real nice with the large closet and drawers for storing everything out of site. We ate in the Grande Dining Room every night and had the best service from our waiters. All of the food was very good. I'm amazed at how many people will criticize the food but it is as good or better than most restaurants that we eat at. We reserved the shows in advance and had no trouble getting to see the shows. Even with reservations, make sure you arrive 15-30 minutes early to get good seats because they fill up. Our only complaints were the smoking area on the deck by the pool. We had to change lounge chairs one day because the wind was blowing and the smoke was bad. Also, RC has signs posted as to not save lounge chairs but everyday there were towels on the chairs and the chairs near the pool were always taken. We did not take any shore excursions but just shopped at the ports and walked around. We enjoyed all of the ports. In Cozumel, the sales people in the stores were bothering everyone wanting you to come inside or to buy their goods. It does get annoying. Overall, our trip was great and we are already trying to decide which RC cruise to take next year. We love the Oasis and the 6,000 people is not a problem. The ship is so big that you can always find an area to be by yourself. Read Less
