We chose this trip due to going to St, Thomas for a destination wedding. The whole experience was awesome and we enjoyed the ship, the crew, the blend of activities for singing, dancing, sports contests, trivia games, etc. The food was really good and had to imagine feeding 6000 plus and having it be hot and cold properly. We really enjoyed the sea days and if you enjoy adult beverages, I highly recommend the drink packages. (TIme to try new ones with little risk) also, the frozen rum drinks were amazing and a different feature each day). If you go hungry on a cruise, you only have yourself to blame. Don't miss the formal dinners, but if you do, there will be an option that is really worthy. Great experience. We would go on this ship again. Courteous staff. Balcony rooms were large for a ship. Plenty of activities. St Maarten Catamaran was really fun. Read Less

Awesome cruise, Dining was delightful. Shows were all fantastic. Love the flow rider with my 10 year old grandson. My 9 year old grandson loved going to the kids club, the attendants were so great with them. Our cabin was so inviting, enjoyed the afternoon and evening shows in the aqua theater from our balcony. Movies on the screen also can been seen and heard from our balcony. Coastal Kitchen for meals were exceptional, Service was fantastic anywhere on the ship. Our room was always clean thanks to Amanda. Loved the attention we received from a royal genie Isarel, he made sure that we did not have any issues. He made sure that my grandsons had a great experience also. It would be hard to go any other way on a cruise. Isarel made sure that we had reserved sitting at the shows, that was worth the money we paid for the room. Read Less

First time on Royal Caribbean and completely satisfied! The ship being the largest, had everything you would want or need, from Starbucks to Karaoke to fabulous free pizza! I have cruised out of Tampa, Miami and now Port Canaveral, and prefer Port Canaveral. It was very efficient and they moved everyone along in a timely fashion. Our cabin was spacious enough, as long as the sofa bed wasn't open, otherwise, it's a pretty tight squeeze, as are other typical rooms. I traveled with my husband and teenage son, and we managed quite well. The food was great and the staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. There is lots to entertain you, no matter what age. Pools, activities, movies, rock wall climbing, zip line, ice skating (although not open all the time), karaoke, or just plain people-watching. The mall area is a great place to sit and enjoy delicious pizza, and although there are a few stores to shop in, they are primarily for the "rich and famous". The average Joe is not going to shop in Michael Kors, Rigalia, Kate Spade and numerous other high-end jewelry stores, but that's okay, I didn't go on a cruise to shop. I would imagine the duty-free part is the reason anyone would shop on a cruise ship. The one thing I would not do again is go on a tour excursion in St. Thomas. We had a rude taxi driver that sped through town, did not explain anything and left us waiting at the Botanical Gardens for over an hour. Thankfully, RC reimbursed us 20%, which showed how much they cared. Our tour in St. Maarten was fabulous, on an air-conditioned bus, with a great guide, who was delightful. She told jokes, sang to us and informed us about the island and it's cultures. Overall, our experience was memorable and encouraging. I will definitely take this cruise again. Read Less

We chose this ship because it was the largest we have been on and the ports that it went to we have never been to. The employees were wonderful. The casino was good but would like more of a varity of slot machines. I would also play more of the card tables if they had lower limits. So many pools that if i had brought kids they would have loved it. I talked to a few of the teenagers on bourd to see how they liked it to know if my teenage grandkids would want to go on this ship and all of them said they loved it. Also all the other activities like the zip line, wave runner, rock climbing and putt putt golf was great. The Chop Grill was over the top great. The windjammer had everything imanginable to eat and the Slomaron was a great place to go to also. The entertainment as always with Royal Caribben was very entertaining. A great ship and I highly recommend it. Read Less

The ship and itinerary matched the experience I was looking for. Stayed in Crown Loft Suite. I think this is the best suite/room I have stayed in on any ship. I like the ports of call with Nassau being the least favorite. Would have rather spent a day in Labadee or Cocoa Cay instead of Nassau. The amount of time in Nassau is too short to enjoy the expensive water park at Atlantis and too long if you are just in the market area. The rest of the island is pretty sketchy. Saint Thomas and Saint Marten are recovering from the hurricanes steadily and are great ports of call. Tivi resort in Saint Marten was a great place to spend the day. Clean bathrooms, restaurants, shops and bars. Good selection of water sports as well. The Oasis is now my favorite class of ship. The only suggestion is to add water slides (on Oasis itself) for the kids like other ships have. Dining at Coastal kitchen and access to the concierge lounge made the cost for a loft suite hold more value. Complimentary drinks throughout the day and evening was also a bonus. Main dining room was good and having other complimentary dining such as park cafe was a nice change. Wi-Fi was also included and worked better on board this ship than it had on others. Always enjoy the on board entertainment, quality performances by very talented individuals. Overall it was a great vacation and we were blessed with great weather and flat seas. I highly recommend the Sky class suite experience if you can get a decent deal. Though it isn't cheap it comes with many perks and advantages. The drawback is once you have experienced this level (or higher like Star class), you wont want to go back. Its the difference of flying first class VS coach, except you live it 24-7 for a week. We chose this cruise because there were so many activities for the teens and adults in our group! We had two balcony cabins, one was an ocean balcony and the other one was a Central Park balcony cabin right across the hall. The rooms were spacious enough for two people each, more people would definitely feel a bit cramped. There was plenty of storage for two of us, and while the shower was small-ish, there was plenty of storage in the bathroom. The teens spent most of their time in the teen club doing whatever activities were available. They would meet us for dinner or did the port excursions with us, but then went back to their new friends. My husband and I spent most of the time in the gym, the spa, and the Solarium. We had the deluxe beverage plan for the two adults and we felt it was well worth our money. We got to try drinks that we might not have tried otherwise, and we often got a bottle of water when ordering a drink at the bar so we could take that to the gym. We ate in the MDR only once and we had the best service in there and the food was delicious, but after that night, we had a few meals at the specialty restaurants, and we didn't think the service or food was up to snuff. We especially enjoyed the food in the Windjammer buffet. It was always fresh and changed up from day to day. Since we tend to eat our bigger meal as a late lunch, this was perfect for us. We would then have a snack at Park Cafe or Sorrento's later in the evening. It was a wonderful cruise to celebrate our daughter's graduation from HS. Read Less

We worked for the company that embarked passengers on the Oasis and decided we needed to sail on her. We live in the area, so didn't do any pre or post cruise. Our embarkation and debarkation were so smooth. The agents for IMS do an outstanding job in both areas. The ship didn't disappoint. Everything we heard about it was met. Our cabin was portside with a balcony on the 6th deck, mid ship. Best possible place because the aft elevators were near to get to the dining room and Windjammer. We had My Time Dining and fortunately had the same table every night. Our waiters (Bobb and Adrian) were the best. The cabin was spotless every day and our attendant catered to all of our requests. We didn't have any shore excursions since we had been to the ports many other times. But we did get off on Labadee and really enjoyed the day. We are ready to go again! The shows were fantastic. Took all of them in. I rode the carousel and felt like a kid again. We are Diamond Members in the Crown and Anchor Club and they treated us like royalty. We encourage you to check this ship out. She will only be in Port Canaveral until April, but the Harmony of the Seas will replace her. Can't wait to try that one out. Central Park was beautiful. Loved the Solarium. Spent a lot of time there. Nice--adults only. Read Less

We haven't been on a summer vacation in several years. We decided to kick off this summer with a cruise on the Oasis for our whole family (10 of us). It was actually cheaper for us to travel on this ship than it was on a Carnival Cruise line. We were in 2 rooms. My parents were in an Ultra Spacious Ocean view room with 4 kids. (Travel agents don't know about these rooms, we found out about it through RC). We were in an inside cabin with 2 other kids. The rooms were FANTASTIC. The Ultra Spacious is exactly that. Plenty of room for ALL of us to hang out. We traveled with a 4 year old and he LOVED Adventure Ocean for kids. I would go on this cruise again JUST so my 4 year old could be a part of aquanauts again!! The staff is OUTSTANDING! The entertainment on this ship is exceptional and will leave you amazed at the talent that ALL of these entertainers possess. DON'T miss the ice show!! Trust me, it's not just your average show on ice. You might want to save Cats for an afternoon performance. We saw it Monday night and something about a day spent in the sun and at sea, a full belly and the music of Cats that will put you right to sleep!! All but 3 of us in our family stayed past intermission, ha! About half of the audience left as well. The cast is very talented but the audience was very sleepy, ha! DON"T miss the aqua show in the back of the ship either. That is utterly amazing & breathtaking! The food in the Windjammer was VERY good. We have no complaints. We only ate in the Main Dining Room on lobster night and my mom and I didn't Love it. She found it to be pretty chewy and my prime rib wasn't good at all. BUT, the French onion soup, the Chocolate Molten Lava Cake and Creme Brulee werbvery good! :) On the last day at Sea, you will have an opportunity to meet the captain and the cruise director. GO SEE THEM!! They were very kind and interesting and answered all the questions!! You will find them on the 4th floor not "ON Air" as the cruise compass stated.;) If you play Bingo, buy the $69 packet and get the t shirt. That t shirt will get you an extra card at all the other games for the rest of the cruise. AND they also tell you later on that if you save your receipts from all the games played, you can get extra cards for free. This was info we didn't find out until later on. ;) You're welcome. ;) If you are going to St Maarten, just get off of the ship and have one of the local guys take you around the island. We paid $15pp vs the $50, $60, $70+ dollars it will cost you through one of the ships excursion. Also.. a Hidden Gem = The Yoda Guy museum. If you are a Star Wars fan, have your guide take you there on the way back to the ship. It's only $10pp and you will LOVE IT! My 4 boys and husband LOVED meeting The Yoda Guy and learning some behind the scenes information. This is a MUST Do!! :) In San Juan, just walk to the Fort that you can see from the ship. FYI Kids 15 and younger are FREE and everyone else is $7pp. IF you do the excursion through the ship it will cost you $79pp per adult and $69pp for child. I find this strange to charge for children when if you go on your own it is FREE! It's only about a 3 block walk and well worth the walk! My parents had a scooter that they used and they had NO problems getting to the Fort. Makes NO sense to pay for this excursion through the ship. Older people might have a harder time walking up the hill but if you have a scooter, its no problem at all. ;) In Labadee, we simply enjoyed the beach. Now, you must know that you will encounter the pushy people of Haiti selling their stuff but a stern "No Thank you!" and No eye contact seemed to work for me! ;) We traveled with a 4 year old and FIVE teenagers. They ALL had a GREAT time!! The teens have "The Living Room" to hang out in and the ship had daily activities for them. We would definitely do this again but first we need to put back $14.50pp per day to pay for the gratuities! That was a bit of an OUCH! when you take $14.50 times 10, times 7 days. I said we just paid for a whole other cruise in the price of gratuities! YIKES! So, as you are saving for your cruise, be sure and save for one extra person because that is what you will pay without realizing. Bon Voyage.... PS...Before you cruise, be sure and run to the Dollar store and pick up some of the silver over the door hangers as well as a dry erase board! You can see in my cabin review what I used those for. These were were some tips that I learned before I cruised this year and these items came in VERY handy!!! Read Less

Aunts, Uncles, Grammas, Sisters, Spouses...ages 8, 18, 45, 50, 55, 61, 70 and 70. We shared three consecutive cabins w/balconies (14282, 14284 and 14286) great location. Cabins were quiet and roomier than I expected (I had not cruised in 20 years). Plenty of storage space (very efficient use of space). Loved this ship... you could do nothing or everything... its up to you. There are sooo many choices, be sure to spend some time before embarking to see what you want to enjoy! Great entertainment, loved Disco night. Reserve in advance for larger groups. I purchased the non-alcoholic beverage package and felt it was worthwhile. Loved going for my iced caramel lattes with almond milk at the Cafe Promenade, and the yummy non-alcoholic Pina Coladas. We did no food upgrades, no need for us. Service was excellent everywhere.Clean ship. I always enjoyed cruising and was soooo excited to be back on the "seas" (it had been over 20 years). I would surely recommend a balcony, looking out at the ocean was so beautiful and relaxing. Loved it day and night. . This was a great family vacay. We are planning another Oasis of the Seas cruise. Everyone had a great time. Effortless. Never felt crowded. Easy on/off. Print off and place cabin tags on luggage, you'll save time and be happy you did! Arrive early, board the ship as soon as possible, avoid lines, enjoy the ship before departure! Great gym too... come and enjoy Oasis of the Seas. There's something for everyone!!! Read Less

Cruised with extended family. This was one of the best cruise experiences that I've had. The junior suite was perfect. I loved the size of the junior suite, the large closet, balcony, and bathroom. The ship was very clean and I love the commercials on the ship televisions prompting the passengers to wash their hands. The public areas of the ship looked like a Vegas resort. The entertainment on the ship is unmatched in the cruise industry. We attended several shows. The show on ice and the show in the aqua theater were the best and reminded me of the live shows in Vegas. The food in the main dinning hall, the windjammer, chops, and the coastal kitchen was perfect every time. The service in all of the bars and restaurants was perfect and the servers with above and beyond the make the our cruising party happy. We booked a beach excursion win St. Maarten. The beach was great. We did not book an excursion in Haiti, but the beach in Labadee was very nice. We did not book an excursion in San Juan, we just went shopping in the area surrounding the port and visited Senor Frogs. This was our first cruise on Royal Caribbean and we are ready to book one for next summer. We had a great time and would recommend this cruise. Read Less

I have been on many cruises, and this one certainly didn't disappoint. The ship itself is very impressive and more massive than any ship I've ever sailed on. The first day was spent just exploring the ship and all it has to offer. There's no shortage of entertainment or things to do. Rock climbing wall, ice skating, casino, movies, bingo, crafting classes, spa, fitness center, pools, shopping, bars, restaurants, dance clubs, shows, comedy club, and so much more that slips my mind at the moment. My children enjoyed the kids Adventure Club and especially loved getting to stay up late doing whatever activities they had planned for that evening. The food in the main dining room was very good, much better than I remember it being on past cruises. Even the Windjammer Café had really good food and so much selection that there was always something that everyone liked, even my picky kids. The 24 hour pizza was delicious, always hot and fresh out of the oven. All in all it was a wonderful vacation for the whole family with something for everyone to enjoy. Cruising with Royal Caribbean is easy & hassle free. Beach towels are readily available, as well as bathroom re-stocking. Being on The Oasis of the Seas is like a floating city because of the restaurants, activities, shows, & constant events. If you like to relax, it’s also the perfect place to just lay out, swim, join the spa or hot tub, & just have drinks (or eat literally anytime you want). The food is my favorite part. The main dining rooms have elaborate 3 course meals, & the Windjammer has a huge variety from breakfast, lunch, dinner, & desserts. This doesn’t even include the restaurants on board. Extremely family friendly, there is a ton to do for kids, but they do a great job giving adults their own space, as well. Everyone goes above & beyond to be at your service. First cruise on a ship this size, and I can say I don’t want to ever go back! Went to Saint Maarten, Puerto Rico, and Haiti. Loved Saint Maarten so much, I looked for real estate there! Boarding was a little crowded. Previous cruises were quicker, but we arrived later than usual, so perhaps it’s normal. Took less than 30 mins to get onboard, which included waiting in line, pictures for Seapass card, and boarding. Ship was immaculate. Boarded Was very impressed with all the things to do onboard. Cabin was super clean and ready right at 1 pm. Dining was excellent. Ate breakfast at Johnny Rockets and windjammer most days, and I favored windjammer for the view in the morning and wide selection of food. Lunch was different each day, but main dining room was favored over the others. Windjammer was a close second. We had a balcony over the boardwalk, so we got 1 free meal at Johnny Rockets that we used on last cruising day. I would eat there everyday if I could. Dinner was at American icon grill, since we used the my time dining option this time. I liked it since it allowed more flexibility in booking shows and events that was have otherwise conflicted with a set dinner time schedule. Entertainment was excellent. So many options, I wanted to book another cruise back to back so I could have another 7 days to do more. Service was the best I’ve had on a ship. Ports were great. I loved Saint Maarten. Didn’t do much in Peurto RICO, but only had a few hours before we had to be back on ship. Labadee, Haiti was awesome. So many things to do. Was much larger that I invisioned. Disembarking was very smooth. We chose to take our own bags off. Left room at 7:20 and was in the car headed home by 7:45. Didn’t have to wait in a line more than a minute or so. The longest wait was for the elevator in parking garage. Read Less

I wanted a seven-night cruise that would visit a few interesting ports in the Caribbean. This was my third cruise with Royal Caribbean and they have always delivered the best experience. My reason for the trip was to give two of my granddaughters a wonderful trip as graduation presents. I traveled with a college graduate, high school graduate, and their little sister (15). The ship I chose was the Oasis of the Seas after reviewing all of the entertainment offered for young people. Oasis is beyond amazing, From the Promenade deck (5), where one can find all kinds of shopping opportunities, guest services, pizza restaurant, and cafe, to the boardwalk on deck 6 with lots of eateries and a big carousel for kids and adults, there is no shortage of places to shop and visit. The top deck with multiple pools and flow riders (simulates surfing), ping pong tables, sky bars, latin music (bands) and numerous water competitions kept my girls occupied for seven straight days. The crew throughout the ship was dedicated to their mission of making sure that each and every guest was having the dream vacation they imagined. Guest services solved several of our problems with ease and a good spirit. One of our sea pass cards failed to open the cabin door and another sea pass needed to be replaced owing to tanning oil, which smeared all of the information on the front of the card. As for the port itself, Port Canaveral is an attractive port to sail from and return. It is easy to park with a five-minute walk to the entrance. However, it is a bit pricey (137.00 for 7 nights). There is off port parking for half that price only five minutes away, a service that I wished I had known about beforehand. The shore excursions on St. Maarten and San Juan were okay, but St. Maarten is still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Irma--damage was extensive. San Juan was okay, but I was hoping for a Caribbean flavor; instead, San Juan is very much an American city and looks like most of the larger cities in Florida. The three-hour tour gave us a nice overview of some of the important buildings, but beware, this tour advertises a trip to the Americas Mall, which means that most of the tour time is spent walking around a mall that Americans can find in any of their home cities. Labadee was by far the best shore excursion. Like everything else that Royal Caribbean does, the trip to Labadee was superb. RC has invested quite a bit of money into making it a tropical paradise, complete with numerous beaches furnished with beach loungers, dining gazebos and outside grills manned by RC's culinary team, drink stations, zip lines, wave runners, and scores of other beach activities. Labadee is a must see. And lastly, the food on Royal Caribbean will not disappoint. Daily menus are innovative and the quality of the food and its preparation made our dining experience something to look forward to every day. I am sure that many folks who cruise or want to cruise will hunt for the best deals. I, too, want the "biggest bang" for my buck and I believe that Royal Caribbean delivered on that point as well. This trip was to celebrate our son's high school graduation, and we went with another family who also had a graduate, so we decided to try the Oasis of the Seas in large part because of all the on-board activities. To make a long story short, everybody had plenty to do, and we all had a great time! The ship is huge, and gorgeous, but it really didn't seem like we had to walk an excessive amount, or take too many stairs. That might have been a benefit of our cabin location, but before the trip we had joked about walking 1/4 mile to dinner, but it turned out not to feel like that at all. I mentioned the ship was gorgeous, and we really liked all the different areas. Our room was on the same floor and near Central Park, so we ended up walking through that area quite a bit, and it never seemed particularly crowded. Speaking of crowds, the ship was apparently completely full, but other than a few areas, it never really seemed too crowded. We were concerned it might be hard to get deck chairs, but that was never a problem. We ran into a few lines at the buffet, but they were never really bad, and there were long lines for the FlowRiders, but I guess with that many people there's not much they can do about that. Overall, the food was great. It always bugs me to see reviews bashing the food, like those folks eat better than cruise food every meal when they're at home (yeah, right). We had dinner every night in the main dining room, and the food, and service, was great. One member of our group has a reputation for being a little picky, but darned if he wasn't scarfing down two each of appetizer, main course and dessert. The specialty restaurants are tempting, but I can't see paying extra when the food in the dining room is so good, plus we like the time spent together and getting to know our waiters. We ate quite a bit at the Park Cafe, which was never busy, and the kids wore out the pizza place. The ice show and the water show were great, and the comedians were awesome. (I would have enjoyed more comedians, or the same guys with different shows on different nights.) The Come Fly With Me had its moments, but wasn't our favorite, and we didn't see Cats. I was very pleased with the service we received, from our room steward, to main dining room waiters, pretty much everybody on the ship that we came across was awesome. Labadee was fun, nice water to play in. Not a lot to see snorkeling, but was still fun looking around. We booked a private tour in Jamaica, to the Blue Hole and Dunn's River. It's a shame the port is so far from both of those, we felt like we had to rush to get back in time to do some shopping. In any case, the Blue Hole was awesome, would love to go there again, and Dunn's River was fun as well. We ended up with not the best tour driver, he just didn't have much to say, so we were a little unclear where to go, what to do at Dunn's River (he basically just showed us to the entrance). Now that I've been there, here's what to do - If you're at least a little adventurous, don't bother with getting a guide. We just climbed the falls on our own, which was much nicer (and faster, and cheaper) than the groups, which were creeping up the falls at the pace of the slowest member. Do take a water-proof camera, or a camera in a waterproof bag, we didn't, so we don't have any pictures. The start of the falls is down at the beach, just follow the signs to the beach if you want to start at the bottom. (That seems self-explanatory when I write it, but wasn't clear at all when we were wandering around.) Cozumel was fun, we paid $21 to go to the Chankanaab resort, which was just a short cab ride away ($24 each way for the 8 of us). It has a nice area with chairs, and a great area to snorkel, lots of nice fish. We took our own snorkel gear on the trip, I think it was $5 to rent. We bought a few snacks there, and then went back to eat lunch at Senor Frogs, which was a fun experience (my daughter's drink came in a huge bottle, I'm not even sure how much that cost, but we'll remember that for a while). Shopping was fun there as well. Like I mentioned at the top, I think everybody had a great time. Our family has been on several cruises, on several different lines, and Royal Caribbean is definitely among the best (you can't beat Disney, but $$$). This was the first cruise for the family we went with, and they loved it, already talking about the next one. We would definitely go on this ship again. Read Less

Went with another couple and had never done a RC Cruise - always Carnival - so we decided to try it. It was truly more than we ever expected. We had such a great time. The food was amazing. Our servers were Gilman and Ronald, and they went above and beyond. The shops were unbelievable - so high end! So many restaurants to choose from - Great shows - great bars with wonderful entertainment. The excursions were so much fun - we did miss one of our excursions due to getting back late from another one, but we were given a refund immediately. Our cabin was always clean and beautiful thanks to Debra - she was fantastic! I really just can't say enough about our 8 days on the Oasis of the Seas except that it wasn't enough!!! We are in the process of planning another RC Cruise for the summer of 2019 and can't wait!!! Read Less

We chose this cruise for all activities on the ship such as free zip lining, rock wall climbing and flow rider experience. We did not know the kids would get to go to the adventure ocean program where they can go and play with new friends for free and we got to go have fun on the ship sans children. Our girls are 9 and 11 and they got to stay together and make all kinds of new friends. The workers were great with our girls and had all kinds of fun games for them to play. Our dining was great and we had a Manager, head waiter and assistant waiter over our table that made sure our experience was amazing. Great food and amazing deserts and they'll get you as much as you want as my husband had 3 pieces of cheesecake for dinner every night. So much to do on the ship, never a dull moment. The free zip lining and rock wall was our fave for sure. Also a free carousel ride all day long. There were 2 formal nights, we did one and got pictures taken which we will forever treasure. We did a Shore excursion, A place in the Sun, it was great fun. The beach at Falmouth was amazing and we were safe the whole time. No one bugged us and clean bathrooms and change rooms were included. Doctor Caves Beach was great. We would do this cruise again! Read Less

I was given anything and everything I need on this cruise. Time, entertainment, food and rest that I needed. Checking in is simple and as quick as possible. The food covers all cultures and is always hot and ready when I want to eat. Entertainment and things to do on board always met my expectations. Everything on the cruise is high end. You can find something to do til the we hours of the day or you can call it a night as early as you wish. Gilman and Ronald the table staff in the Grand dinning room at table 682 are the best I have ever had to wait on me. The presentation and the service of the food were always spot on. Debra my cabin Stewart in room 10205 was always there for me and my wife. The speed of getting off the ship is as good as it gets. By 8:30 in the morning I was in my car going home. It just doesn't get any better!!! Read Less

Everything was great. Food selection could have been more variety. I would do it again. Everyone was friendly. Entertainment was great, I loved the fact that they had multiple options and variety for everyone. Shore excursions were good options and had variety for everyone. Service was extraordinary. The cabin was a little small and we didn't know that we had a bunk bed until the last day when we were disembarking which was a little frustrated since we could have used it. The bathroom in the cabin was also a little small and hard to move in. The ship was beautiful. I loved the Broadway style shows, specially CATS and Come Fly with Me and the different shows in the AquaTheater. The late night shows were great too. We went on a Shore Excursion in Cozumel and loved it. The excursion guides were nice and friendly. I would recommend this ship to everyone and would definitely travel again with Royal Caribbean. For our first cruise, we went with Royal Caribbean. We upgraded to an Owner’s suite, so that is my frame of reference. I have never stayed in any other type of room, so I have no other basis with which to compare this. The room was very large and comfortable. My family of 4 (Parents, 17 year old daughter, 18 year old daughter)) truly enjoyed our first cruise and we will definitely do it again. We enjoyed the very large balcony as well as most every detail of the room. We would have preferred several more 110V outlets in the room, but that was not a major problem. The bathroom was huge and very nice. The shower and jet tub were very nice. There were dual sinks and a bidet. The cabin was truly a great part fo our experience. The housekeeping attendant was great and a positive part of our experience. We never lacked for anything and she seemed to truly care about making our vacation perfect. Overall, the staff on the Oasis of the Seas was incredibly pleasant and positive. I have nothing but praise for the staff experience onboard the Oasis of the Seas. The ship seemed to be very clean and very well maintained. We were impressed with the ship at pretty much every location on it. The workout/gym/track facilities were plentiful and always available to us. We never had trouble getting around the ship. Signage and layout were intuitive and easy to understand. It was entertaining to see the behemoth of a ship in port next to the much smaller ships from other cruise lines. Dining onboard was great. We enjoyed each meal, but enjoyed the Coastal Kitchen the most. The staff, atmosphere, and food selections were perfect for my family. Conversely from a simplicity point of view, we also loved the hot dogs on the boardwalk and the pizza from Sorrento’s. We’re not big into buffets, but those were also very nice when we visited them. It was also quite easy to find food pretty much whenever we wanted it. The room service was excellent as well. Be warned on room service. They will give you LOTS of food. We had to be careful to minimize our order or we would have been throwing out considerably more food. This is a warning, not a complaint. It shows again that they will fail on the side of customer service. We enjoyed the shows on the ship. We watched a pretty good band, several shows in the diving show pool at the back of the ship, as well as a pretty good production of Cats while onboard. Seating was good and comfortable and production quality was very good. There were tons of other activities onboard that we never took in. In short, if you are bored onboard, it is your fault. As for service on the ship, we had no issues. We had a minor issue related to booking, but it was resolved to our satisfaction while onboard without major effort. People onboard knew their stuff and were happy to assist whenever we needed it. I cannot ask for more than that from any customer service provider. We stopped in Labadee (Royal Caribbean’s private resort area in Haiti, Falmouth, Jamaica, and Cozumel, Mexico. The private area in Haiti was nice and that day was good. We snorkeled and did very little else. There was much more going on, but my family loved the snorkeling so much that we didn’t check much else out. The other 2 ports were great and we had a blast in each of them. We did private excursions in those locations, so I will not review those here. My only real complaint with Royal Caribbean is the photo opportunities on the ship as well as in port. If you want a character picture or a picture of a Royal Caribbean sign in port, they will insist upon taking it and sell it to you. You will not be allowed to take any personal photographs of these. While this is a fairly pathetic cash grab, it was pretty isolated to photograph opportunities. I personally chose not to partake and got better photographs of the locations and my family on my own.
