I would highly recommend the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Sea to anyone for any sort of vacation or occasion. Our family booked a row of 5 balcony rooms on Deck 8 plus one more a few doors down for our family vacation. This trip was a first time cruise for about 6 of us. We enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony in the morning/evening or when we were coming into port. Our stateroom attendant, (I’m sorry, I forgot his name, but my room was 8136) consistently went above and beyond to make us feel at home, highly personable, went of his way to ensure everything in our room was to our satisfaction and along with the other housekeeping staff. This team did what they could to make us welcomed aboard. The food and service in the American Icon dining room were top notch. We were so impressed by our servers, Nelson and Amoor (I think that’s how you spell is name), we actually reserved our table in their section every night. We were highly pleased with it with all available selections. Honestly, we didn’t bother spending the money on the specialty restaurants. And I MUST mention the AMAZING bartenders at the Trellis Bar in the Central Park Deck 8 area of the ship. Virgillo, Archie and Shawna were nothing less than the BEST OF THE BEST bartenders. They always treated us with top notch service. My name is L'Oreal and the simple fact that EVERYTIME I would pass, they would speak and actually remember my name speaks VOLUMES for this crew. This team truly rocks! (I must also shout out to William. He opened the Trellis one afternoon and remembered me that same evening in the American Icon bar!) The activities on the ship were a lot of fun too. You could make the trip as relaxed or as busy as you wanted. We loved the fact that there was SO much to do we could not fit it all into our schedules. Even though we missed our shows due to our family dinners, I heard they were awesome. The FlowRider competition was pretty cool to watch. We also watched the World’s Sexiest Man contest which was HILARIOUS and fun! I must also make mention of the DreamWorks Parade! This was TRULY one of my favorite experiences aboard! I felt like a kid again and danced around with my little cousin who was just as mesmerized as I was. Our ports were Labadee, Haiti; Falmouth, Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico. The beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean will always be etched in my memory. I’m sure none of my family will ever forget this family vacation. We enjoyed the RCC event held in Labadee and the shopping. In Falmouth, we did the Fun in the Sun excursion to Doctor Cave’s Beach Club. We did enjoy seeing the school and field where Usain Bolt learned and trained. The beach was beautiful. We also had to joy of watching planes landing at the airport just north of us. Finally in Cozumel, we took a taxi downtown to do some shopping. We then took another taxi to Paradise Beach. This place is just beautiful and full of a broad range of activities. The culture here in Mexico is rich and I sincerely wanted more time there. All in all, it was the most amazing family vaction we could ask for. Thank you Royal Caribbean and Oasis of the Seas! We will definitely be back! (However, disembarked Aug. 5th 2018. As of Aug. 8th, we have booked Family Vacation 2019 on Allure of the Seas. No worries, Oasis, we’ll be back!) Read Less

This was our first cruise as a family with two adult children. I am sure the kids on the cruise had a blast, I am glad we waited to go on a cruise when our kids were adults. The on/off boarding was seamless. It seemed hectic at times, but all in all went smoothly. Our cabin (Ocean View w/balcony) was some what spacious for four adults. Next time we go we will definitely get two adjoining rooms (if available). The dining was just absolutely awesome. The variety we had in the Silk Dining area was great. The breakfast in the Windjammer was excellent. The entertainment was definitely great. There was a wide variety of different thing to do, morning, noon and night. Something for everyone to do. Now we get to the staff and crew. Our waitresses in the Silk were just absolutely wonderful. After the first night they knew what we wanted pretty much and treated us like we were family. Even at breakfast the staff was always there to help you with what you wanted to eat. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ports (Labadee, Falmouth and Cozumel) were great. The crew and staff take great care of everyone while docked. There was a good variety of excursions. Something for all ages to do. I would highly recommend reserving them prior to departure. One thing that I would recommend to the ship: 1. Maybe get a kiosk or two so passengers can look up available excursions. That would tone down the line at the excursions desk. That way passengers can find an excursion that is available, instead of trying to figure out what was open with the desk clerk. To sum this up, without a doubt we are going again. Going to try and recruit some more friends or family members to go with us. Read Less

I truly had a wonderful time on this cruise. The staff was great, the food was simply delicious, with a large selection to choose from. The activities were exiting, the shows were entertaining, except for the Broadway show, Cats. I did not care for the performance, I would have enjoyed another Broadway performance much more, example of, Lion king or Hamilton. I would recommend Royal Caribbean to all of my family and friends, I did not want to leave the ship, I wanted the fun to continue for two more weeks. I would like to let Royal Caribbean know that, they make there guess feel like royalty, it was great to experience the life of luxury for one week. I now know how the queen of England live her daily life. It was short but a wonderful experience that I hope to relive again. Cruising is the only way to vacation. Thank you. Read Less

Amazing!! The ship is not crowded even with over 6,000 guests on-board. It’s a very different feeling ship than our many other cruises. Loved the solarium, spa, outdoor feel and awesome views. It’s a different experience than most cruise ships. Go and Enjoy!! And since I don’t have enough words yet for the review. Allow me to continue... my teenage girls like the teen club staff involvement better on other ships BUT. They made great friends on this ship and had a blast!! It’s just less staff involvement and tons of activities to do. It’s impossible to see this ship in just 7 days so another oasis experience is inevitable for our family. My wife and I enjoyed the spa experiences and the shows. Not as talented as other ships we’ve been on but the shows did not disappoint. They were incredible as well. From ice skating shows to aqua theater and comedy live shows. So much fun!! Read Less

I could, Easily Cruise several times per year!! Maybe, once hubby retires (fingers crossed) Every step of the boarding process, every excursion, EVERYTHING! Was organized and flowed smoothly. Every meal was delicious! But, the most impressive item was, the Curried Chicken, On Windjammer’s buffet. It Was AWESOME!!! The attention to cleanliness was appreciated. Someone was wiping, and offering hand sanitizer, constantly. Again.. Good Job, RC! Everyone seemed to genuinely care about pleasing the guest. Another, Very Appreciated feature, that is different from the previously traveled cruise line is, The children’s curfew and the designated area for the children. The entertainment was Top Notch!! I would highly recommend the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Sea to anyone, especially as a honeymoon, but really for any sort of vacation or occasion. We had a balcony room on Deck 12 which was a very nice room, we enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony in the morning/evening or when we were coming into port. Our stateroom attendant, Jermaine, consistently went above and beyond to make us feel at home, highly personable, went of his way to ensure everything in our room was to our satisfaction and along with the other housekeeping staff did what they could to make us feel special on our honeymoon. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Jermaine. The food and service in the American Icon dining room were top notch. We were so impressed by our servers (which having been a server in the past, I'm a fairly tough critic), we actually reserved at table in their section every night. Trust the waitstaff recommendations on dinner options, every time we selected something they had recommended we were highly pleased with it. Honestly, don't bother spending the money on the specialty restaurants. We went to one and talked to other couples who went to a couple of the others and all of us agreed, that the food in the dining room was just as good if not better and the service was better than in the specialty restaurants. And for some great drinks in a really nice atmosphere check out the Trellis Bar in the Central Park Deck 8 area of the ship. Jude and his fellow bartenders always treated us great. The activities on the ship were a lot of fun too. You could make the trip as relaxed or as busy as you wanted. We loved the Honeymooner's get together - what a great idea to give all of us a chance to get to know each other. We forged a friendship with another couple that began in part through our attendance at the Honeymooner's get together. We also absolutely loved the night time game shows (love and marriage, battle of the sexes, quest, perfect couple, etc) and attended every one. As a singer, the Rock a Rokie karaoke with the band was so much fun, definitely something you should keep. The headliner show, ice show, and aqua theater show were all amazing. We didn't get to see the Come Fly with Me show because of technical difficulties -- we were disappointed but of course everything can't be perfect. But they did offer up other activities in its place. The quality of the entertainment was truly top notch. Our ports were Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. We did the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim in the Bahamas. This was a bucket-list item for me and my husband and it was worth every penny we paid for it. We each got a "foot push" by the dolphins, got a dolphin hug, kiss, danced with them in the water, and more. Neither of us will ever forget that. At St. Thomas we went snorkeling and on a catamaran sail ride. The snorkeling was ok, we saw a lot of turtles and our guides were great, but I wish the area we snorkeled in had more coral reef or colorful fish. Finally in St. Maarten, we took it a little easier and went on an island tour by bus to see both sides of the island, did a little shopping, and took tons of pictures. All in all, it was the most amazing honeymoon we could ask for. Thank you Royal Caribbean and Oasis of the Seas! We will definitely be back! Read Less

We picked this ship because it is really large. With our Star Class, getting on and off the boat was always easy. Our Genie took care of us so we waited very little. The ship has lots to do, is clean and absolutely beautiful. Our cabin was a suite. There are 2 suites bigger than ours but they don't sleep but 4 or 6. Ours sleeps 8 and was spacious. The views were great, the balcony was amazing and the service was above and beyond my expectations. Being Star Class definitely made us feel like Royalty! Your personal Genie caters to your every need. I had 4 fourteen year old boys and they had a blast. Plenty for them to do socially and they love sports. They were occupied at all times and I always felt they were safe and supervised. They loved the 24 hour room service! The entertainment was awesome. We saw Cats, the Aqua theater water show, the ice skating show, the comedy show and all of the bands and singers. We missed some shows, just ran out of time. All of the shows and bands were great! Some of our group did other events and loved them all. My husband played poker and gave it a big thumbs up. The staff at all levels are very accommodating and kind. They work hard and seem to be happy to serve. The food was delicious and we ate way too much! The shore excursions were typical. Ours was not described accurately for St. Thomas (said 2 beaches but was only 1 and rushed). It was snorkeling too and not many fish. Nassau at Atlantis is crowded and the rain closed it for a bit. But there is a beach and it has jet skis for rent and other water activities. St. Maarten was our best! Sea Trek and they threw in some snorkeling. We saw lots of fish there. Then we found a Zip line on our own afterwards that Royal Caribbean does not sell and it was the best of all. It was a zip line plus you could ride an inner tube down the mountain. Just need more time at all the stops. Typical for a cruise but there is always a rush and of course, lots of people. But everyone was friendly and we always felt safe. Bring cash off ship for extras! Jet skis Etc want cash. Read Less

We went on a 7- night cruise for our 10th anniversary and I don't think we could have made a better choice. Royal Caribbean does such an amazingjob with everything: food, service, entertainment. You can really tell that everyone on that vessel takes great pride in their work and ship. Highly recommend this cruise! The excursion options were great. Each stop had something to offer, some the same and some unique to the locations. The daily itineraries they deliver each night along with the shopping guide are so helpful in planning your next day: whether it's figuring when to do what or what time the eateries will be open or letting you know the currency of your next destination or even what time you can catch the sunrise. We constantly referred back to those. And of you left yours in your room, there were some available at the customer service desk. There is no way to be bored on board either. There is so much to do. Again, I highly recommend this cruise experience. Read Less

We chose Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas due to the features onboard as well as the nice itinerary. Ship Even though the ship is massive, it is very easy to navigate. It is broken up into neighbourhoods such as Central Park, the Boardwalk, and Royal Promenade. There are maps and signs all over the ship so it’s hard to get lost. Since it is such a large ship, it holds a lot of people. This means that we often had to wait a while for an elevator or search for a while for two chairs together by the pool. Dining We paid for First Night Done Right. We were assigned to Giovanni’s, but I really wanted to try Choppes. They didn’t charge us anything extra (even though other reviewers have posted that this is common practice.) My meal at the steakhouse was my favourite. We each ordered a filet mignon; it was cooked perfectly and there were 3 sauces to choose from. They pour your choice on your plate at the table. We each ordered dessert, and upon hearing it was our anniversary, they sent us a third dessert with a candle and sang us a song. The sever was attentive and had a good sense of humour! We also had dinner at Giovanni’s, and it was fantastic too! I had the gnocchi with spinach and cream sauce; it was SO GOOD! The other 5 nights we ate in the main dining room. It was quite good. I didn’t care for the New York Strip steak as it was a little overdone and rubbery. Drinks We purchased the deluxe beverage package and found the drink service excellent. The variety of beer, wine, and cocktails was awesome! We never had to wait for a drink. Entertainment We saw the comedy show, headliners, the oasis of dreams, and a parade. The comedians were funny and they involved the audience quite a bit! I also really enjoyed the oasis of dreams show; the diving was impressive! The show was supposed to be performed a number of times throughout the cruise, but it was cancelled several times due to technical issues. In place of the last oasis of dreams show, they put on a Dreamworks Parade on the promenade. It was cute, but I felt stuck at the side while it was on and I just wanted to cut across to get a drink. Activities There is so much to do on the ship. I did the zip lining and enjoyed the pool on each day at sea. We also had fun in the casino. There are quite a few table games and plenty of slot machines. Shore Excursions Bahamas We enjoyed all three ports. We purchased an excursion through the ship in the Bahamas; it was called the VIP BEACH DAY IN BLUE LAGOON. It was very expensive at $135 pp. And it was chaos when we got off the ship. There were thousands of passengers trying to figure out where to line up and there were hardly any employees to tell us where to go. Once we got on our ferry, everything was great. It was a 25 minute ride to Blue Lagoon. The beach was separate from the rest of the activities. We had chairs and an umbrella. We were greeted with mimosas❤️We also got to see people interacting with sting rays and dolphins. They had tubes to float on (no charge) and they served us lunch right on the beach. St Thomas We decided to go on our own this time and it was a much smoother process. We did some shopping right off the dock. Then we decided to take a taxi to Meagan’s Bay Beach. It was $10 pp each way. It was about a 20 minute ride. It also costs $5 pp to access the beach. The beach was beautiful! The sand is white and the water was clear and warm. We enjoyed this day very much! St Maarten We decided to skip the beach and just shop here. We took a taxi cab ($7 round trip all day). These people are still working to recover from the hurricane. The police presence was strong so I felt pretty safe. My husband bought a watch and I bought a diamond necklace. We saved a few hundred dollars. One thing I was not prepared for is the constant requests for more tips. We already pay a nice sum of money for prepaid gratuities and yet there is a tip line on bills for drinks, food, etc. We ended up giving an extra $100 or so in tips. I think they should have prepaid grats or pay as you go grats, not both. Overall , we had an excellent vacation! Read Less

My family really enjoyed this cruise ship. The food was DELICIOUS! The only thing is I wished they served some Mexican food on a Caribbean cruise in the dining rooms. The Carousel was COOL! We rode it a few times. The putt-putt is small but very fun. We went to almost every show, and they were all FANTASTIC! The ice-skating show was our favorite. We had a great staff in the dining room. If you ever get a chance to sit at Jayant's table, you will not be disappointed. He is extremely nice and helpful when you ask his advice on what to try that night for supper. My only issues is they need more staff working in the shore excursion department because we had to wait in very long lines twice to straighten out shore excursion problems, even though, I had picked out and paid for all of our shore excursions before the cruise. They also need more souvenir shops because they only have one and it is very small with very little to choose from, and I hope they figure out not all cruisers want purses and watches. The lady in the art gallery is very RUDE and does not care to talk to you unless you look rich. The only place that stayed crowded was the pool area, and we did not go to the pool, so we never felt like we were on a huge ship with almost nine thousand people. The Broadway and Central Park areas also made you feel like you were at the beach and in New York walking in the park. I also would have liked staying in the ports longer and been able to do more shore excursions. Read Less

Other siblings chose this cruise--we went along to hang with them. Spent MANY hours researching cruise-ship-cabins-ports-menus-CC reviews. Embarkation/debarkation was a breeze- Got to PC at 1pm-when others had already boarded ship. Luggage showed up 2 hours later. Booked Jr. Suite on deck 10 near rear bulge. Good spot--no noise from anyone. Tip; 2nd outlet under bed frame near night stand. Cabins have coolers--not fridges--temp was about 50 degr or a little less-no settings. Walk-in closet, lots of hangers. AC worked great. Cabin steward kept the place neat/tidy. Ate at MDR every night-food was good / very good --all meals. Service was outstanding. Hit WJ for breakfast between 730-8am every day and no issues with table seating/crowds. Lots of variety. All crew were friendly & courteous. No "in your face" sales tactics. Staff stayed out of your way on decks 5 & 6. Ship was full--6000 plus cattle on our trip. Only noticed crowd on night we went to Aqua Theater show--long line to get in--go way early. Comedy show room has obstructed seating--get there early for better seats.Did not do--zip line-rock climbing-skating-wave surfing, etc. We entertain ourselves mostly. Did go to Central Park a few nights for soft/relaxing music--it was loud and not relaxing--electric piano & violin (amplified)--playing show tunes with some improv. by two musicians. Went as far away from them as we could get and it was barely tolerable. Did I say it was loud? Beers were $8.50 +/- incl 18% s.c. Pina Colada was $11.50 with s.c. My Memory may be cloudy on that part. We brought wine and I smuggled mini bottles of rum on board--so our drink tab was only $100. Labadee--went to Columbus Cove--no wind--should have gone to windward side, Did have good drinks served at out lounge chairs--"Island Specials" $13 with S.C. Rum based fruit drinks--very good. Falmouth--stayed inside security area--shopped and had some Red Stripe while wife haggled with vendors--she had fun. Cozumel--hired a taxi for 4 hrs--went to Punta Sur Park--that was a mistake--RUTTED dirt road last five miles inside park--slow going in & out--not much to see. Lost 1/1/2 hrs driving to & from park. Did see all the island and stopped in downtown San Miguel to haggle with vendors. Would go again on Oasis size ship--if itinerary was to my liking. We are doing an Alaska cruise in 2019 on a 2100 passenger ship. I'm thinking that is more to my liking. Will see if I am right. Read Less

Very fun!! We loved the natural environment of the Central Park area of this ship and we enjoyed the card room for family games and the casino for a bit of gambling. The layout of the ship is awesome you can find food or drinks at anytime in different decks of the ship, not like other ships that we had to go to the 16th floor after midnight just to have a snack, I was able to find breakfast or light lunch at the cafe on Central Park or Main diningroom or wind jammers. Midnight snack and coffee or drinks at Sorrentos or cafe promenade. Read Less

We were part of a large tour group comprised of about 250 passengers. The ship itself is an engineering marvel and beautifully maintained. The ports of call were nothing special for the most part (Labadee was easily the best port) and we chose to stay on the ship in Falmouth Jamaica and Cozumel. Nothing authentic to see that was worth seeing outside of an excursion. Embarking and disembarking was relatively smooth given that there were well over 5k passengers. What made this cruise an absolutely unforgettable experience however was the RC staff & crew. The level of care and customer service was off the charts from everyone we encountered without exception. To be on such a great ship was one thing, and it could have easily been diminished by even average customer care. But the ship, combined with world class customer service we experienced with everyone from our cabin attendant to our main dining room wait staff and everyone in between was what made it a truly special experience. I left the ship completely refreshed, thoroughly impressed and wondering when I could do it all over again. Not a frequent cruiser but I do travel extensively and for my money, there is no better vacation experience. Read Less

Based on a recommendation, we booked this western Caribbean cruise. From the moment we arrived at the airport to the return trip back to the airport we had the best service from all members of the Royal Caribbean team, They go way beyond to make sure you have a wonderful cruise. We were even surprised how well the ship has been cleaned and maintained being 10 years old. The housekeeping was great 2 times a day! Food was plenty and the quality was very good.. There were plenty of things to see and do aboard the ship plus the shore excursions were great fun for all. Would recommend making reservations for excursions and dining as the lines can get long if not prepared. Having cruised on other ships I would recommend this cruise based on the level of service and things to do. Our friends were right about making this a great family vacation. Read Less

The flo rider was fun and so nice. The instructors were very nice and helped a lot. Service at the grande was amazing. Couldn’t have asked for anyone better than John. Nice family time and dance parties and good shows. My favorite show was come fly with me. Nice rooms and plenty of space for our family. Amazing time and would want to go again. The short excursions were nice plenty of beach time and a nice break to have fun and do some stuff. I think my favorite part was the sports court and how it was free. The food was amazing and I ate so much because it was so good. Best trip Read Less

There was so much to do and overall the service was amazing. Dinner was well prepared each night and it was made fun in the big dining hall. The ship never felt overly crowded because of all the places there were to hang out. The fitness classes and opportunities were great and I would highly recommend taking advantage of them. The service for room service was also very good and I feel like each activity was well thought out. The photographers take great pictures so it’s smart to take advantage of those. There are a couple of places that are open with food very late which is nice if you decide to stay up. There are so many family friendly dance parties and activities available which made this so much fun for my family. I would definitely recommend this cruise to any family with teenagers. It was very fun and relaxing! Read Less

Fabulous trip. The ship and staff were great. Staff were attentive to our needs. Our room was always clean....Dean was wonderful. This was the third time we have been on this ship. The shows on the Promanade are very entertaining. We love to dance and went to Dazzles and Blaze every night. We enjoyed 80’s night. We really did not care for the scratch music at Blaze on a couple nights. Our se excursion was easy to book and procedures were very well explained. The food and service in the main dining room were fabulous and the variety of food at the Windjammer is awesome. I also visited the casino and had a great time...even won a little. We always purchase the deluxe drink package and find it so easy to order. The drinks are great and not watered down at all. We have tried Carnival and I must say Royal Caribbean is hands above when it comes to modernization of the ship and the quality of service. We can’t wait to cruise again. Read Less

This was a cruise to celebrate my father's retirement. My room was myself, husband (both in our 40s), 9 year old son, and 6 year old daughter. We were in a Grand Suite. We also traveled with my parents (who are diamond plus), my 22 year old sister and her boyfriend, and my other sister, her husband (also in their 40s), my 8 year old niece, and my 12 year old nephew. Arrival was super easy. We got to the port about 10 am. Check in was a breeze. There was a dedicated waiting area for the suites. The had comfy seats and refreshments. We were able to board just at 11 am. We went straight to the Windjammer for lunch and had no issues. To summarize, I will do this in categories. Ship The Oasis of the Seas had a lot to offer. The ship was large but never really seemed crowded except in the Promenade for the July 4th balloon drop. The amount of things available was perfect for my family. In fact, there were some things we didn't get a chance to try. It is showing a little age and it's coming dry dock will probably be just what it needs. Cabin Our Grand Suite was perfect for my family of 4. I do suggest if you have people using the sofa bed, have them turn it back to a sofa during the day. It made a big difference in the feel of the room. There was ample storage space and hangers. There were even 2 large medicine cabinets and large drawers in the bathroom. I didn't need any additional storage. The suitcases fit under the bed for storage. Our balcony was the perfect size. With 2 chairs by the small table and 2 chairs with footrests, all 4 of us could enjoy at the same time. The bathroom was larger than I was expecting. Two people could easily be in there at the same time. It is a bit of a large step to get into the tub/shower combo but the threshold of the bathroom is not very high. Dining We had a standing reservation for our party of 12 in the Coastal Kitchen since we were all in suites. The adults did go the the Chef's table one night. The Coastal Kitchen food was delicious and well prepared. The staff of the Coastal Kitchen were very friendly and accommodating. They even got food from the main dining room for us if we saw something we really wanted. The chef's table experience exceeded my expectations. We did have a great group and full table. One thing we did learn that night, although the Adventure Ocean staff take the kids to the Windjammer, they have a limited amount of food available. We were told it was due to allergy concerns. If you have really picky eaters, keep that in mind. We did eat in the Windjammer for breakfast most days and about half the lunches. There is a large variety of offerings which we liked. In general, the food there was good. We also had snacks at the Cafe Promenade. That became our go to spot if we wanted something outside of the meal hours. Their ham and cheese croissant was easily my favorite. Entrertainment I am not a CATS fan so I did not see that show. I did see the adult comedy show, the Ice Skating show, the Aquatheater show, and Come Fly with Me. The singers in Come Fly with Me, although good, did not sync well at times. Also, some voices did not seem to fit the songs they were singing. I can only conclude they were hired with CATS in mind. The adult comedy show was surprisingly enjoyable. I was really tired and considered not going. I'm glad I did, though. The 2 comedians on my sailing were both hilarious. Also, they did not poke too much at the crowd. They took things that were said and ran with them without harping on individuals in the crowd. By far my favorite show was the ice skating. I have no idea how they do those trick on that small patch of ice. Something to note, all the performers work during the open ice times. My kids loved seeing them again and telling them how much they enjoyed the show. Huge kudos to the staff for their July 4th celebration. I think they perfectly balanced the wants of the Americans while giving other a chance to be away from it if they wanted. The only things that would have made it better was a larger area for the balloon drop. There were many people that could not get close to the balloons. The Aquatheater show was also great. It reminded me of a Cirque show. Service Everyone we dealt with on this cruise was friendly. Many of them truly got to know us and continued to talk to us whenever we saw them. Our stateroom attendant really went above and beyond in talking to all of us whenever she saw us. Also, the trivia guy was perfect. It seems like he was made for that job. Ports This sailing started with sea days. Then we went to St Maarten. Although the island was devastated by hurricanes less than a year ago, they seem to be recovering well. There is still a long way to go but plenty of activities were available. We took a private tour of the island to see everything. The next day we were in San Juan. I think partly because of the heat, we were tired from the day before and opted to stay on the ship. There were enough things to do on the ship that we didn't regret our decision. The final stop was Labadee. That is a prefect beach day. We really enjoyed just spending time on the beach and in the water. I wish all the port stops weren't back to back, but I understand why they are. Adventure Ocean We signed our kids up on the first day. My daughter was in the 6-8 group with my niece. My son was in the 9-11 group. The girls loved being together and I think that was part of the reason they loved being in Adventure Ocean. My son tolerated it, but he wanted to play video game or be on the zip line. I don't think his view is the norm. The girls did participate in the pirate parade. They thought it was great that we were watching them. They also did many craft and we brought plenty of things home from their time. I think most kids will enjoy the experience. We did leave them for dinner one night. I wish they allowed the kids more freedom on the food choices since they are ion the buffet, but I guess I can understand the legal ramifications. All the staff seemed friendly and I did not hear any complaints from the kids. They definitely had favorites. My son loved Bubbles. We mainly chose this cruise because my parents are Royal Caribbean loyalists. We also chose it for the starting port and dates. Overall, it was a good choice. I know my parents will be on many more in the future. I think my family might try a Disney cruise next. Read Less
