This was my second time to sail with Oasis (5th RC cruise/10th total cruise) and all of my expectations were exceeded. The ship was at maximum capacity and I never felt like I was in a crowd. Because I've sailed on Oasis before, I knew to make all of our dining and show reservations in advance. This was my first time to dine at Chops and it was delicious! However, I felt the Main Dining Room was just as good. Windjammer, Park Cafe and Sorrentos were also always delicious and I never had a problem finding a table. The Sorrentos pizza is out of this world! So good! We opted for My Time Dining. Our waiter and assistant waiter, Kingsley and BinBin were fantastic! Honestly, they were just so efficient and kind and we looked forward to seeing them, every night. They took great care of us and had such energy! The ship is in great condition and everything is kept extremely clean. Our room attendant, Viola, was a doll! She made sure our balcony cabin was always clean with fresh towels and we had cute towel animals every night. Our ocean view balcony cabin #14206 was mid ship and the perfect location. Even though we were on deck 14, we rarely waited more than a couple of minutes for an elevator. Overall, I had the best vacation ever. Thanks to all the RC staff for always smiling and making sure we were well taken care of. I highly recommend RC and Oasis. I am looking forward to my next cruise, on Allure. I will only sail with RC. Beautiful ship. Lots of entertainment and things to do. Staff in general were a mix - some great and some rude. I fell and twisted my ankle, very obvious since it turned lots of colors. Was told to go to medical - they were closed and had been for hours. It wasn't a big deal, could have used a wrap but the attitude by the main desk was very poor. The two gentlemen that helped me get up were lovely however. Bartenders, etc. were a mix - some pleasant, some rude. Cabin with balcony nice, well set up but the mattresses and pillows were like bricks. Steward was great and attentive. Food in Windjammer was disappointing; my fifth cruise and the first time I felt like there was little to choose from. Main dining room was nice but we got stuck on the late dinner despite my pleas. Food was good and Yeoman and Putu were wonderful! The one general thing I don't like about Royal Caribbean is that they nickel and dime you. Saw Cats - wonderful production. Charged 2.50 plus 18% gratuity for a small box of popcorn. As much as you pay for everything they charge for popcorn? Read Less

The trip was excellent from getting on the ship to disembarking. This company knows how to move a lot of people through dinners, shows, buffets. Staff are professional and courteous beyond belief. They do everything in their power to accommodate your wishes. Asked for extra towels and couple wine glasses so my wife and I could have a glass on the balcony, was done in minutes. Cabin attendant was funny and greeted you with a smile or joke every time you saw him. Rooms where immaculate always. The waiters in the dining room where as good as any 5 star restaurant. We brought our 18 and 16 year old sons. The staff were courteous with them whether we where around or not. The food is wonderful with selection for any palate. You always knew exactly what was going on because you receive an itinerary every night for the next day. The tv channel also kept you informed. Lots of shows for every taste. The layout of the ship had places for children, adults who wanted to party by the pool and areas for adults only that wanted a quiet place to relax. This is definitely not as cheap as an all inclusive resort but worth every penny. The only Con we had was the Flowrider. It is fun when the guest get to try it and the viewing area cheers and laughs when you fall. When the "Pros" show up and make it into an Olympic sport it ruins it for everyone. The worst is when the old guys from the diamond club get to walk on anytime they want ahead of you. My sons where laughing at them because they where so embarrassed that they though anyone was impressed. Read Less

After being on a dismal Carnival cruise we wanted to redeem our cruising experience and go all out. The Oasis of the Seas did not disappoint. We booked through cruisedirect to get some additional OBC and dinner voucher. The embarkation process was a little slow, but the disembarkation was very slow, not sure if either was RCCL fault. The cruise was Western Caribbean and we really enjoyed all the ports. Our least favorite was Cozumel and that might just be because of the age of our kids. We had my family time dining, which started at 5:30 pm. They say the kids are supposed to be all fed and ready for a kid's club pick-up, but they rarely got all their food before 7 pm. I much preferred the Windjammer over the Main Dining for all meals. The WJ was always busy, but never took long to find a place to seat and had much more variety and you didn't have to wait around forever. The 2 Dreamworks parades were a lot of fun. We skipped Cats, but saw all the other main shows with our kids and thought they were all really well done. I tried out the Flowrider and lost a contact out of my eye. Be sure to back backups, something I didn't do. I was able to buy some more contacts in Cozumel at Optica Caribe. We did pretty much every single activity they had, including mini golf, rock climbing, massage, and ice skating. We did not do their zipline, it seemed very short and uninteresting. All the staff and fellow passengers were all super nice and I'd highly recommend the experience. No fault to RCCL, but our whole family ended up getting the flu on the second half of the cruise. When considering a cruise vacation there must be a higher chance of getting sick due to the sheer number of people around you. Read Less

As I tell everyone when writing a review; Don’t let anything you read in this review dissuade you from going. Everyone has individual experiences, likes/dislikes. I can only tell you about mine. One of the things that I pieced together, when reading individual reviews, is that people like myself, who’ve been on several cruises with the same company, tend to be more critical than people who’ve been on one or two. I think the Reason for this is that people who’ve been on a lot of cruises remember the way things were before all the changes the company has made over the years all for cost cutting reasons. No, this doesn’t apply to all, but for myself, I’ve been on a few cruises (you can see how many in my signature) and most of them have been on Royal Caribbean. I am a diamond member and Prime member. Thus, I did spend a fair amount of time in the casino. I traveled with my family and I stayed in a Grand Suite. I previously lived in New Hampshire and now live in Florida, so getting to Port Canaveral was a simple 2 hour drive as compared to having to fly and come a day early with hotel stay. I thought the check in process was relatively easy. If you’ve read any of my other reviews, you know that I travel with my dad, who has the same name as I do but we have different middle names. I still can’t understand why Royal Caribbean can’t add a middle initial on your Sea Pass Card. This would be a simple IT fix. But we all know how Royals IT is so maybe that explains it? Thus, the nice ladies checking us in we’re confused as to why 2 people with the same name could be in the same cabin. This would continue on all week when dealing with guest services, Club Royale, Loyalty Ambassador, you get the idea. The one thing that was different from past cruises here was the order of boarding. Now that Royal has added “the key”, the new order of boarding is back to back cruisers, suites/pinnacle, diamond plus, “the key”, diamond, emerald, platinum, and gold. I was a little upset over diamond members being moved down but I boarded with suites so this didn’t affect me but I’ll keep it in the back of my mind for future reference. We ate lunch in Chops and everyone agreed this was a good option over other venues. By the time lunch was over, the rooms had opened up and we could get in. You may have noticed that I skipped over the quality of food in Chops. I don’t review food because of how subjective that becomes. Only to say, that the food quality has gone down and I find the menu options to be the same fleet wide. When going to the room, this was the first cruise I’ve been on where the TV in the cabin wasn’t turned on to the safety message. I thought that was odd. Our muster station was in Sabor on the promenade. There were no TVs to watch any safety messages, you couldn’t hear the announcements from the captain, and we were in the back, so you couldn’t see the life preserver demonstration. So it was a waste of time. Essentially, everyone was holding private conversations and no one was paying attention. On a positive note, you could hear the 7 short blasts followed by the long blast. The night that we left was the Super Bowl. Being from New England, I’m a huge Patriots fan. There were a few other Patriots fans on board but the overwhelming majority were haters. Just a few things about this. I found a lot of questions, pre cruise, on these boards about what Royal does for the big game. There was a huge party held in the Aqua Theater with food, drinks provided. They also passed out towels to cover yourself up because it was rather cool that night. I thought that was a nice touch. So now I’m going to talk a little about our dining experience. Not going to talk about food. So, for me, I like eating in the dining room. Staying in a suite, I have the option of going to Coastal Kitchen and eating there. But I like the dining room experience. And this is one of the areas where when I read people having great experiences with dining, it usually falls between people who’ve been on a few cruises and people who’ve been on a lot. The service was not the best we’ve ever had. I don’t normally complain to anyone but this was one of two times that I had to complain on this cruise. By night 3, I wasn’t happy with the menu options, so I ordered the upcharge filet/lobster. We had early seating (5:30), and literally everyone else in the dining room was done with their meals/ deserts when our food was served to us. Our food came out around 7:20. I spoke with the Head waiter and after that, the service picked up dramatically. Drinks were waiting for us at the table when we arrived and food was served quickly and we were in and out. We did eat dinner at Coastal Kitchen on the second formal night and it was fantastic. I ate lunch at Johnny Rockets and that was great. Also had lunch one day in Windjammer. The service wasn’t good. No one coming around to pick up empty plates. Our room Stewart was fine. He introduced himself on day one and we really didn’t see him again. The only issue we had was, staying in a suite, we get free pressing for our formal wear. We sent our suites our for pressing with instructions to have them back by 4:30 for our early seating. Well they never came. I made several phone calls to guest services and tried calling our steward to be told that he was on brake and couldn’t be disturbed. The clothes came at around 5:20 so we were late for dinner that night. The reason for wanting the clothes back early was because we like to go to the Suite Lounge for cocktails before dinner. That didn’t happen that night. Our stops were Labadee, Falmouth, and Cozumel. In Labadee we rented a cabana at Barefoot Beach. The furnishing in the cabana was torn and needed to be replaced. For the amount of money you are charged for a cabana, And how many people use that destination for Royal, I can’t believe the company would allow that. I also thought the food wasn’t as good as when I was their last time. Although that was 7 years ago. Well the cushions looked like they were that old. We also did a jet ski tour excursion and that was fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to do that again. In Falmouth, we just got off the ship and went to the local shops. We did stop and have lunch at Margaritaville. There were so many people there using the free wifi that it was a little overwhelming. It didn’t take too long to figure out that most of the people there were crew members from our ship and the Disney ship in port that day. So that was crazy. And in Cozumel, we did a catamaran excursion that was great. I wouldn’t hesitate to do that again as well. We went snorkeling and then went to a private beach with free chairs, water sports and drinks. A couple of things that went sideways: on this cruise, I achieved my 140 point status but didn’t get my crystal. I had to see the Loyalty Ambassador and had to wait and listen to other complaints. It was really eye opening listening to what other people were complaining about. I got my crystal. The other thing was on the last day, I went to get my free picture for being a diamond member. When I pulled up my pictures, the one I wanted wasn’t there. So they gave me a slip of paper and told me to come back at 9:00pm to get it. Well the picture that was printed out was of my dad which we had already got. So, I had to straighten all of that out and it took over 2 hours to do. Oasis is definitely showing it’s age and is in need of the upcoming Amp. I still will cruise with Royal. I booked my next cruise on the Allure and got a $700 on board credit. Read Less

Second time on ship. Enjoy back of ship overlooking boardwalk & diving show (rm 11725). Extra spiffs (soft drink pkg and 1 meal at Johnny Rockets) come with the Boardwalk rooms. Quiet location …. dead end hallway with only three rooms past this room. The Market Place (Lido Deck on most ships) offered a good variety of food however limited sitting area. Disappointed it closed before 9pm. Dining room on 3rd floor (The Grill?) was our FAVORITE place to eat for lunch. a la carte or buffet …. EXCELLENT food. Assigned dining was on the fifth floor. We had six around our table ….. cramped. The table was small and walk spaces …. tight. Although dress code was long pants, other than formal nights, many men wore dress shorts, including myself. Now the bad ….. felt the ship was heading toward being a Carnival Ship. Loads of small kids. Screams and noise reverberated through he Boardwalk and hallways. Found kids wandering noisily through Casino and Adult areas of the ship. Dining room and shows compared our group with prior cruisers wanting more applauds and screams. Insulted when asked to give standing ovation for chefs and waiters, because we didn't want to be outdone by previous cruise. Ship is to be refurbished adding water slides and other young adult entertainment. Enjoyed the MEGA ship first time, Second time around not as much. Expect there won't be a third time. Read Less

Went on the Oasis with my BFF and had a great time! Our large ocean view balcony cabin was perfect for us! The headliner, Tony Tillman, gave a great performance! We dined at Giovanni's, Chops, and 150 Central Park, as well as ate in the MDR for MTD. All restaurants were excellent! My favorite would have to be 150CP for its mouth-watering beef tenderloin for two! Best meat I have ever tasted, and the very tasty small lobster tail was a nice surprise! My favorite hangout spots are Central Park, Boardwalk, Rising Tide bar, and the solarium! My two favorite classes are Oasis and Freedom, so much so, that my DH and I will be boarding Lady O again in just 2 short weeks!! Port Canaveral is also our favorite embarkation port, as we only live 2 hours away, and there are lots of parking options! Thanks RCCL for continued excellence!! P.S. I will hate seeing the DL on Deck 11 replaced by Wonderland and the DL either being eliminated or moved to the windowless Deck 4! It's just business (I guess). Fitness customer service representatives are unfriendly and rude unless you buy their package. They have steam and sunna rooms. But customer needs to pay package in order to use them. This is very basic service; but it is not available for regular customers on this ship. It seems this fitness centre is too much focused upon extra sales as we observed that they only care for those buying their service packages. We told them we’re unhappy and want to put our comments. The lady said GO AHEAD. Here we are. Entertainment shows are great. We enjoyed diving, skating, Tony Tillman, and other concerts. Boarding organizational work is impressive for over 6,000 passengers. Fine dining services are exceptionally great, professional, and friendly. Quality and quantity of food are very good. House keeping staffs are hardworking and friendly. Their service is excellent. We also observed lots of kids enjoying the facilities onboard. Read Less

We have wanted to cruise on one of the Oasis class ships far some time and thankfully final did. What a great ship. Yes there are 6000 guests on board however with only one exception, we didn't experience any long lines. The exception of course was the windjammer buffet. They hold you up at the entrance so they can locate a seat for you which is a good idea. Other wise there would be tons of people bumping into one another trying to find a seat. Just too many people and totally unnecessary. We instead ate breakfast at the Central Park Cafe'. No lines quiet, enjoyable and the food was good. If you want to go to a buffet and load your plate to the ceiling with food you probably wont eat cause it's free, the Park cafe might not be for you. There is no charge, however there aren't 10,000 items to choose from. Specialty dining was simply awesome. I would highly recommend it. Main dining room was OK but we preferred the specialty restaurants. We found the solarium cafe' to be in between the main dining room and specialty restaurants as far as food quality. You will need to make reservations in advance but it is also free. Loved the shows. By the way, RESERVE YOUR SEATS FOR THE SHOWS prior to sailing. Drink prices have gone way up sense we last cruised on Royal three years ago. The drink package might be for you if you plan on drinking five or more drinks per day. Keep your eyes open prior to sailing for deals on the drink package. Day 5 they offered several drink deals. We took advantage of the 10 drinks for $79 card. After gratuity it was close to $100. You save around $35 bucks depending on what you are drinking. Only thing I don't like about RCCL is the day strip on the floor in the elevators. I don't want to be reminded every time I get in the elevator what day it is and how little time we have left. LOL Read Less

Just returned from Oasis - Eastern route - after taking Western one year ago. This year's experience was even better than last year because of a much better dining experience. Last year, My Time Dining was a disappointment overall. This year we chose early dining and our server Vaibhav and asst Claire at table 564 in Grand DR were outstanding. The American Icon for breakfast and lunch was always impressive. Windjammer was chaotic at times but well managed. We even tried Johnny Rockets for a fun lunch but opted not to try other optional restaurants. Arrival at Port Canaveral was again the most organized port we've ever experienced - kudos to all the helpful staff there. We chose a Boardwalk balcony - 10329 and it proved to be spectacular- offering both views of the ocean along with the Aqua Theater events. Highly recommended especially if you like an aft view. Once again the entertainment was very enjoyable everywhere except we avoided Cats after being disappointed last year. This massive ship offers such a variety of acts and venues. Glad to see that smoking is being very restricted. Crazy ridiculous drink prices are very evident even with highly promoted packages. Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten were good stops that still displayed the horrific hurricane damage from 2017. They're still trying to recover especially in St. Maarten. Disembarkation was organized considering well over 6000 pax. We opted to self-disembark. Overall a great experience despite such a large ship. Anxious to see what the Oasis two month refurb this fall will have to offer. Read Less
