Michael's Club is only available to top level Captains Club and those in the top level Suites eg Royal Suite. It is not available to Concierge Class suite passengers. We have dined in the Tuscan Grille which is excellent, quiet and relaxed. We tried Qsine but found it too quirky for our taste and the noise level so high we couldnt hear the waiter telling us about the meal. Our wine waiters have been excellent in recommending wines of our liking - we purchased the beverage package. It was offered several weeks before the cruise at a discount, as was the dining package. San Marco is very good, we choose a set dining time but you can book any time dining as well. The Ocean buffet is for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a wide variety of choices. I am gluten free and was able to be accommodated at all the restuarants. The crew are very helpful and friendly. Read Less

We booked this cruise because of the itinerary and had low expectations of the ship after reading all the reviews. We were, therefore, pleasantly surprised to find the ship was, in the main, very well-maintained - not as glitzy as some of the newer ships but nevertheless clean and comfortable. Staff (especially our cabin steward) were all extremely helpful and friendly. We did not have a drinks (or any other package) but were never hassled to buy anything. We had thought about a drinks package but are glad we didn't take one as it worked out much better financially for us to just pay for our drinks etc. Food was good without being outstanding. We had dinner in the Main Dining Room each night usually sharing with 4-6 others. There was always a table available (we usually ate about 7.00 pm) and we loved meeting all the different people. We looked at the Specialty Restaurants but none of the food on offer inspired us to pay the extra amount. Entertainment and guest speakers were hit and miss. Some shows in the theatre were excellent, others we just stood at the back for a few minutes and walked out. Guest speakers were the same - one was very entertaining and informative, the other two quite boring at times. The biggest negative with Celebrity is that they don't have self-service laundries on their ships. On a 30-day cruise this was definitely a nuisance. We had some laundry and a few items of ironing done by the ship and also did some handwashing ourselves but it would be so much better if they had a laundromat. This was only our second cruise with Celebrity (we were on the Reflection just after she was launched) and whilst it's not Silversea, Oceania, Azamara etc you're not paying the same prices you woulld pay for those ships and we found Celebrity excellent value for money. If we found a suitable itinerary we would not hesitate to sail with Celebrity again. Read Less

We flew into Abu Dhabi for a 2 night stay before the cruise to Rome through the Suez Canal. We had an ocean view and thoroughly enjoyed the stateroom. We enjoyed the facilities on the ship. The entertainment in the theatre was good to excellent. I suppose it depends what your personal preferences are. We enjoyed eating the excellent food in the MDR, meeting new people and listening to their adventures. We won a meal in the Italian restaurant. It was very good. We met up with people to do the trivia and had good fun. We called in at Muscat in Oman, we just had a walk along the waterfront. We did a trip to Petra from Aqaba, Jordan, it was amazing. A must do trip, even though it was not cheap. We sailed through the Suez Canal without a narration onboard. This was disappointing. Also when we entered the Mediterranean there was no mention of the event!!! We called into Athens and got the Ho-Ho bus to the Acropolis. A very worthwhile trip. After seeing the sights at the Acropolis we got back on the bus and did a city tour. We got the admission halfprice into the Acropolis because we are seniors and proof we were EU citizens. We then called in to Katakolon. This is a lovely beachside resort. Bars and restaurants facing the sea, tourist shops in the street behind. We got the train to Olympia, we also got halfprice admission to the museum and Olympic site. We ended the cruise in Rome, after 15 nights. We have been on this ship before and found some of the changes ie no happy hour, the changes in the casino plus the prizes won for trivia were disappointing. Read Less

Chose this cruise for the itinerary, and it did not disappoint, nor did the cruise ship, all very good. All staff had a very positive and willing attitude. The ship's officers were always visible and this seemed to have an impact everywhere. An excellent example was the Hotel Director, Helen, whom we seemed to bump into every day. The ship was clean and seemed well maintained, all public spaces were constantly being cleaned. Our cabin steward was great as were all the bar and dining staff. Just wish that the dinner menu could have been better, as well as several of the entertainers that were brought onboard were not very good. The exception was the Ship's band and the production shows. The gym and sauna were well used and we enjoyed the Solarium where we could find seats most of the time. Also we were frequent users of the aft bar and dining area on Deck 11. Would recommend! My husband & I had never cruised before and wanted something special to celebrate our joint 50th Birthdays. Thomas Cook recommended Celebrity as one of the best and when we looked at the brochure, we loved the destinations for this particular cruise, so booked it! Initially we were disappointed in the size of the room but talking to others, apparently the rooms are bigger than a lot of ships!! We found it frustrating at the post getting on the ship as every person we got passed to wanted to see the same papers the last person looked at BUT it all went smooth enough. We had the classic drinks package 'free' with the cruise yet couldn't get a martini at the martini bar! We asked why as it was on the package and we were are the martini bar, the bar staff told us it was because their martinis were bigger and they used 'better' ingredients, so if you wanted one from them you had to pay or you could go to one of the other bars for one! Very odd i have to say! The food in the San Marco restaurant was amazing, the portions were big enough for us and we felt no need to use or pay for any of the speciality restaurants! We used it for breakfast and dinner! The staff were always happy & friendly in San Marco, nothing was too much trouble! We were disappointed in the outside pools, we thought they would be bigger than there were! There was always sunbeds available but we did notice that the 'good' sunbeds with the thick mattresses were always taken by the same people! The indoor pool area was very very nice, loved the Thalassotherapy pool and we spent most sea days in there rather than outside! We didn't go to many shows but the ones we did see were OK, depends on what you like and what you don't like. We didn't do any of the 'daily activities' as its not our thing, another reason for us to use the indoor pool. The ports were nice, we didn't do the ships tours, we'd already booked tours with Cruising Excursions as recommended again by Thomas Cook, so cant comment on how the ships tours were. We didn't have many children on the cruise, probably about 5 or 6 but for us that was good, that was another reason we chose this particular cruise, we didn't want children running around, that again was our personal choice as our kids have grown up and moved out, having peace to us was good (saying that, the kids that were on were no trouble what so ever) It took us a while to get in to the cruise life but by the end of the cruise, we'd booked again for 2020! We chose the cruise based on itinerary as it was amazing value for the ports we were visiting and neither of us had even been to Asia. However, I will admit to booking onto Constellation with a little trepidation having previously cruised on larger & newer ships (P&O Britannia and MSV Divina). We arranged our own flights and hotel pre-cruise taking advantage of New Year sales and flew to Singapore on British Airways arriving the day before embarkation and stayed in The Scarlett in Chinatown which was a superb base. We then spent the day sightseeing around Marina Bay on electric scooters (a must do!), including a cheeky charge up and down the F1 pitlane, before taking an Uber to the Cruise Terminal. Embarkation at Singapore was straightforward with no queues, although we were a little disappointed that the photo opportunities had already been packed up having pre-paid for the photo package. However, that disappointment aside, we were through check-in and on ship within about 20 minutes. Once aboard we headed to the Atrium and took advantage of waitress service and our drinks package to order our first cocktail, a Singapore Sling of course! :D Constellation departed on-time and we watched the sail-away from the Sunset Bar at the aft. All our pre-cruise doubts about sailing on Constellation were immediately dispelled once we took a hour or so to explore her. We found her to be extremely well maintained and decorated, and despite being nearly 50% smaller that previous ships we'd sailed on, if anything there was a feeling of more space. Our initial cabin was an inside on deck 9 forward (9015) which was a fantastic quiet location, only spoiled by a problem with our toilet which eventually led to us having to move to an Ocean View on deck 3 (3126). Whilst being a fabulous cabin in a great position midship, benefitting from a massive window as it used to be part of the conference centre, there was a low rumbling noise which we found disturbing for the first couple of night having come from such a quiet location. We had traditional dining at the later sitting of 8:30pm and were sat on a table of eight with some other British couples. Both the company and service was great and we did not have any complaints regarding the food which was excellent throughout. We never ate main meals in the Ocean View Café buffet restaurant however breakfasts and lunches there were all excellent always with fresh food available. We also ate in the specialty restaurant Qsine twice, once complimentary as a result of our cabin move, and once paying, and found it to be an excellent innovative experience with simply stunning food that you wanted to eat too much of! We can’t wait to go back! Entertainment would be the only minor point of gripe, with shows that were not really of the same standard to those on previous cruises. However, we did find that the Silent Disco Celebrity put on at the Martini Bar on selected nights was excellent and really they should do it somewhere every night!! Our other issue was towards the end of the cruise when the main late-night venue Reflections was closed for a staff party all night forcing us to move to the much more sedate and earlier closing Rendezvous Lounge. Credit to Celebrity though as after a little discussion, a DJ was put on after the House Band finished and the bar kept open until 1am for us. We found the Shore Excursions provided via Celebrity to be of a very good standard and well organised and would certainly use them again. Disembarkation in Abu Dhabi took a little longer than previous experiences and luggage collection in the terminal building was more haphazard. However it was completed without incident and we had a great day hiring a car and visiting Ferrari World before heading to the airport for our return flight to the UK that evening. Overall it was a great cruise on a fabulous ship, which left us with a very positive impression of both Celebrity and Constellation. So much so that we have another cruise booked in May aboard “Connie” in the Mediterranean! Read Less

I chose this cruise because of the culturally varied ports of call and was not disappointed. Embarkation queue was long and slow but the process was quite smooth when finally at the front. Our cabin was 2 floors above the outside deck smoking area, however this was not a concern at all, only heard voices one evening and no fumes at all. The proximity to the central elevators was ideal and would definitely book a cabin in this vicinity again. The ship itself is a veteran but all facilities were more than adequate, clean and well maintained. Entertainment was varied and mostly of a high standard, with 2 sessions per night. Dining was consistent with other cruise dining experiences, it can become repetitive but overall quite decent. Buffet had a variety of cuisines on select nights, but don't be too late or the only offering is pizza or pasta. Breakfast was the usual fare, a good selection to cater for all nationalities, however the fruit selection was rather limited which may have been due to the seasonal supply. Service was fairly standard in my experience of cruising, our cabin butler was excellent but nothing outstanding in the dining or bars, no bad service either. Ports of call were very diverse and offered a very different cultural experience, with the comfort of returning to a comfortable cabin at the end of a long, hot and sweaty day exploring. Shore excursions offered a variety of different activities and sights to experience. We are a 50yr+ couple travelling alone and we would board the Celebrity Constellation again for the "right" itinerary. Some of the services such as laundry was more expensive compared to other cruises with no option to even borrow an iron, you have to pay per item. Also beware of the Visa requirements when visiting India particularly (an e-visa is acceptable) and Sri Lanka (transit visa - free). Overall a very good cruise experience with an amazing culturally diverse, interesting, and very scenic variety of ports to experience. Read Less

Noisy, cabin underneath the Ocean View Restaurant, starts at 5 in the morning preparations, roof leaked, had to moved to another cabin for the night (lower deck inside cabin with no facilities) not at all happy, no compensation was forthcoming, had to complain to get any recognition that we were not happy about the situation. Room service was a joke, pot of tea was expected for an early morning start, we got 2 luke warm pots of water with unopened tea bags on a tray!! I boiled the water myself and made my own tea, no point in having room service at all. Good luck finding a comfortable sun bed, we never did, they were all reserved early morning till the sun went down, with no-one on them most of the time!!! wake up pool attendants, you need to remove belongings after 30 minutes or no reserving at all.!! We chose this cruise for the unusual itinerary from Abu Dhabi to Singapore via India and Sri Lanka. We had some reservations about using Celebrity Constellation due to previous negative reviews which described the ship as showing signs of age and being 'tired'. These fears were unfounded as the cabin, public areas and restaurants had obviously all been renovated and were in fine condition. We chose 'anytime' dining in the main restaurant and this worked well on most evenings with just 2 occasions when we had to wait for a table (with pager) and just one occasion when service was very slow. The quality of the food was excellent with a good variety of menus throughout the cruise. We just ate once in the Italian restaurant and this too was excellent though the supplement charged was rather expensive Entertainment in the main theatre was average cruise fare . The young singers and dancers were very talented but some of the material used was strange. One particular production show was like a mock pantomime and pretty atrocious. The other solo artistes were generally good except for one impressionist who was poor (several people left during the performance). The best act was Bayne Bacon (comedian/pianist) who was exceptional. He also took part in 'The Wedding Game' game show but there was not enough of this type of entertainment. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and the fact that we are generally very happy with Celebrity cruises. The itinerary had its plusses and minuses. Oman, Thailand and Singapore are delightful places, whilst India is the real pits - a filthy place. Food on board was really great for meat dishes on the evening meal, but fish is a little below par. Breakfast and lunch were good, though we have been spoilt a little more on the Eclipse with an even wider selection. The crew are motivated and always have a smile. Embarkation went really smoothly. Disembarkation took a little longer than expected. Anything that needs urgent improvement? Yes, make internet packages more customer friendly e.g. a 'minutes' package for 120 minutes, so that passengers can simply check their emails and social media packages daily without having to spend close to $300. Currently both the 24hr and the 1hr packages are 'one-shot'. Read Less
