Just returned from the Arabian Sea Adventure on Celebrity Constellation. Have to say we were a bit worried by all the reviews after we had booked and many said the ship was tired and well worn. Well, I do not know which part they were looking at, but we found it to be wonderful everywhere. The beautiful coordinated furniture, comfy chairs and multiple lounge areas were superb. (so often there is no where to sit on a cruise ship and coffee shops etc are so full you end up back in your cabin!) We would recommend Celebrity to anyone who wants a truly wonderful ship; fantastic staff; superb food and great staterooms to book with Celebrity. We have not been on other ships in the Celebrity fleet, but will certainly have Celebrity on the top of our future cruise company list before booking elsewhere. (NB: We are not first timers - we have cruised with many other companies and Celebrity certainly comes top with us). The food was exceptional in every area. The Buffet food was great with variety and really good quality food. This was unfortunately marred by seeing other guests who ate wearing just a vest - dreadful; the other restaurants were stunning and it was lovely to have the 'chique' nights too. As a Sky Suite passenger, we were fortunate enough to eat in Lumiere most of the time, which was exceptional in every detail. Plus having Michaels lounge as a little hideaway was truly brilliant. Nadia and her team really made every day a wonderful experience. Read Less

We have used Celebrity for cruises before and decided to go away for Christmas and New Year. So when we found the cruise to the Arabian Sea and India in December 2017, we jumped at the chance. We have always wanted to go to India, so we thought a taster would be a good start. In the past, we had only cruised on the Celebrity Eclipse. So we knew the Celebrity Constellation was a smaller ship and was looking forward to seeing and experiencing the ship. The ship was lovely, our cabin was on deck 6, mid ship. We had been lucky in the respect, we had upgraded to a Sky Suite. We had always travelled Aqua Class before. The room was lovely, very modern. We had been told that the ship was old and needed refurbishing. We did see the odd sign of some TLC required, but hardly enough to complain about. The service we had throughout the ship was amazing. The food was excellent, so much choice. With regards to the theatre and the entertainment, we really enjoyed it. The in house entertainment team, was the best we've seen. Because of the Sky Suite status, we had our own restaurant Lluminae to go to. The staff attention to detail was amazing. Look out for Feyzullah the wine Sommelier and waiters Zoraya and Swaraj. The experience of a life time for us, was having Ryan the butler. He was always available if we needed him for anything. He made our holiday perfect. We also had the use of Michael's Club, Nadia the concierge was available for anything we needed, like booking trips, sorting our immigration disembarkation off the ship and much more. With regards to the ports of call, we had a very good taste of the culture and history. A very lovely cruise for Christmas and New Year, starting 2018 in Dubai. Read Less

We selected this cruise because of the itinerary and ports of call. Going through the Suez Canal was one of the highlights of this trip, as was the visit to Petr in Jordan. There were 5 straight days at sea, but that was no problem since there was a wide variety of activities to choose from. We were pleased to find that there were ample deck chairs available on sea days. We found the staff aboard the Constellation to be courteous and friendly. Our stateroom was a Sky Suite. There was plenty of space and storage. The bathtub is difficult to get in and out of due to the very high and steep side. Our balcony was of good size and we were able to use it quite a bit. We appreciated the ambiance and fine dining experience of Luminae. The entertainment about the ship was quite good. We enjoyed the talks of the guest lecturers. Read Less

We chose this cruise for its itinerary, which ended with the F1 . The check in was chaotic, but once on-board that was soon forgotten. Our cabin was at the rear of the ship with a large balcony, this was ideal for our cruising through the Suez canal, offering panoramic views. My personal opinion is that some excursions were over priced but I know others on-board were happy with them. Entertainment was good and varied. No problems with the sunbed but think that was more down to the demographics of passengers. We enjoyed the dining in the main dining room and requested the same location every night as we had an amazing waiter. On previous Celebrity cruises we've struggled to find somewhere to sit at Cafe Al Balcio, this time we never had a problem and enjoyed a coffee while watching the world go by. Would highly recommend this itinerary. Read Less

Celebrity is our cruise line of choice! We love Aqua Class staterooms and what comes with it ... especially dining in the Blu. The Persian Gardens on this ship is very small and not as open as on the Solstice Ships, but there for your use. We chose this particular cruise for the itinerary. It was a "repositioning" cruise so did not come with all the perks that other cruises do, but the price was excellent. We found the Constellation to be friendly, never any crowds or lineups and a great mix of passengers from all over the world. The food on this ship was very good. We dined in all the restaurants during our 15 nights on this ship and enjoyed everyone of the restaurants. The Blu & The Tuscan are our favourites. An activity that we really enjoyed is the "Silent Disco" at the Martini Bar. This is alot of fun, made for many laughs and a good time. Be sure to try it out if you see it listed as an activity on your ship. We would travel on the Constellation again if the itinerary was what we were interested in. Read Less

We picked the due for the itinerary and value for money. Rome, Sicily, Athens, Suez Canal, Aqaba for Petra, Muscat, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Sky suite, deck 6, midships, good location close to where you needed to be. Great feature was that the bed faced to window and not side on as in other suites we’ve had. Good standard of ship and guest entertainers. Luminae great as usual although there were a few night where we had to pick from the main dining room menu. Only thing that we disliked aboard the ship was the quality and appropriateness of piped music when there was no live music or DJ. The music in the Martini Bar which we love was appalling, techno electronic which set your nerves on edge and created a negative ambiance. I can’t stress how bad it was. We requested that they play something more appropriate to the bar and crowd aboard but were told that the music was set by head office in Miami and couldn’t be changed. Every evening we asked them to turn it down.......it was truly awful. Read Less

First but not last cruise with Celebrity. Have cruised before on MSC and decided to try Celebrity. Got a good deal and booked balcony cabin. Cabin is nice. Yes, you can see that it is not new, but everything is working fine and it was spotless clean.Balcony was great. We were in 7180, which had a much larger balcony than others. Location was great, in aft satrboard side and with cabins over and below. The ship is very nice. Bars, pools etc was nice and very clean overall. Loved the rooftop cinema and the Sunset Bar. Shows were great in the first half of the cruise, but then came new artists (a singer from Voice, a trumpet player and an acapella band) and they were really disappointing. Food in the buffet was ok. We had all our dinners at the San Marco restaurant and wow, that was amazing. Food was really delicious. The service we had was outstanding: Our waiter Robert was really good to help and recommend from the menu. He and Ravi, the assistant, was very kind and we never missed anything. The best, however, was our sommelier, Ivan.I've been to many restaurants all over the world, but never had better service when it comes to wine. He was very qualified and friendly. he remembered the wines I had tried and liked and always did that extra effort to serve me the right wine for the chosen meal. I had wonderful wines, all of them and will look for many of them in stores. I hope to meet Ivan again on a later cruise. All in all: Wonderful ship and fantastic service Read Less

I wanted to go to Israel for many years and this cruise offered 2 ports and an overnight. Celebrity Constellation offered this itinerary. WE had sailed on the Connie twice before. The ship has always been well maintained. It is an attractive ship inside and out. The service from the crew - amazing. Our cabin was a balcony forward this time. I really enjoyed the spectacular views from it. Our cabin was in excellent condition. The stewards provided exceptional service and cleaning. We dined mainly in the MDR. Our meals were delicious. The sommeliers knew their wine products. We did try out Sushi On Five. The food was delicious but I found it expensive. We are Elite so many mornings we had breakfast at the Captains Club specified location. It was great to see CJ again. We had met her on the Infinity. She had just taken over CC. We love the activities she organized for the passengers. Entertainment. We are not big show people. Often we opt out. I have to say one of the highlights was encountering PUTU again in the Martini Bar. WE have have sailed with Celebrity many times. Putu is an entertainer. HIs antics - well you just never know what he will do next. Fellow staff - Tada and Daniel were equally as entertaining. If you end up on a cruise with them, enjoy. I hope to meet them again on a future cruise. The ports were incredible. WE landed in Athens a couple of days early. We have been there before and taken excursions. This time we immersed ourselves in the Plaka and savoured the time there. Another reason for choosing this cruise was the ports. WE were able to revisit Mykonos, Rhodes, Malta and Crete. I would highly recommend these ports. Now back to Israel. It is a must visit country. We visited Nazareth, Ashdod, Haifa, Jaffa, Tel Aviv, Rehovot and Jerusalem. I would love to go back and see this amazing historical country again. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the unusual itinerary. Some reviews said the Constellation was tired and showing signs of wear, we didn't find this at all. The ship was beautifully kept and the cabins were spacious and light. We chose late dining and shared a table with some great people. The food was varied and excellent. We were well looked after by head waiter and sommelier. Eating later enabled us to attend the shows in the theatre every night. the entertainment was always excellent especially the guest artists. The ships singers and dancers worked very hard to put on some fabulous costumed extravaganzas. Our cabin steward was always there with a song and a smile, and the buffet staff were happy to stop for a chat even though they were very busy. We have no complaints as we enjoyed our cruise very much, however it would be more perfect if the Wi-Fi packages were not so expensive. Not a late night party ship. but the silent disco was great fun and everybody was dancing until 1.00am. The diversity of the ports, Malta, Jerusalem, and the Greek Islands made this an unusual cruise not often found, but would recommend should it be offered again. Read Less

This was the first Aqua Class cruise for most of our group and the restaurant and the spa were worth whatever you paid. Rooms were large enough and balcony was pleasant but the crew on this ship were without a doubt the best of any cruise we have been on. The entertainment was very very good and the different bars were great for just relaxing between shore excursions and the evening entertainment. The itinerary was perfect as was the weather. If you have not taken this cruise it should be on your bucket list in the near future. My absolute favorite was Corinth but each port we stopped at had so much history and so much historical and biblical importance. We had a very eclectic group and everyone found the cruise and the ports to be an awesome experience. This ship while not grand in size more than makes up for it in personality and service. Read Less

This was our second cruise on the Constellation and as with our first cruise - it did not disappoint. We selected this cruise for its itinerary (as all of the stops were new with the exception of Livorno - but we did something different than the first time we were there), the price, and because it is Celebrity! Embarkation was as smooth as silk. We were a little early (1030am) but were allowed to board and it only took 10 minutes. Our cabin was an oceanview (lowest category available - 08) right at the front of the ship (2001), but the cabin was of good size, quiet and very "stable" - no rocking! We chose this cabin because of the incredible price/value (as it included drinks, tips and $200 obc) - for less than $1000 per person!! We ate all of our evening meals in the Main Dining Room and the service and quality was great. I liked the variety and quantity!! Entertainment on the ship was ok. The main performers were average with the exception of the magician. His act was pretty amazing. The games and other activities on the ship were really good and plentiful. What made this cruise was the crew - Celebrity seems to hire the friendliest and most helpful people. The itinerary (and luckily the weather) was amazing. The cruise was absolutely awesome with the places we got to see. I don't really have too much negative to say (yes...I could nit pick like most people like to do), but overall, I had a great time on the cruise, had plenty to eat and drink, and the ports were interesting. Celebrity did not disappoint and I will continue to book with them in the future. Read Less

We chose to cruise to celebrate my husband's birthday and since we have been to Europe many times this ship had an itinerary that was different for us. It wasn't our first choice to go on the Constellation because it was an older ship......but what a surprise!! The renovations that have been made to the ship are really lovely and we even booked another cruise on this ship for next year. The crew was outstanding and the service was amazing. We dined in Blu and each time we were greeted by our names both by the hostess' and waitstaff. We were made to feel Special each and every day. I was impressed with the level of service given to our meals, and by our cabin steward. We are not new to Celebrity, we are Elite Plus members, therefore we feel qualified to say that the service and ship were Outstanding! I would also like to add that we rarely attend the shows onboard, if we do we usually sit on the end so we can leave if the performance is not to our liking, on this cruise we loved the entertainment and stayed through most of the shows. If there were any cons, I would have to say it was disappointments with some of the shore excursions. The problem is since we were in France on a Sunday and Monday most shops were closed and we still had 2 to 2 1/2 hours of free time with no place to go but sit around. I would suggest that the tours either be shortened on those days or discarded altogether. Read Less

This was X cruise number 9. So we can sort of saying that we like Celebrity. We are a couple in mid 30, so compared to the rest of the demographic onboard. We are on the younger side. But we like it, we go early to bed and like to have one glass of wine together whit good food. We are not party-all-night fans, so what X gives us, fits us perfectly. We flew in to Barcelona a day early. So had time to walk around for some shopping and sightseeing. This cruise, we celebrated 7years wedding day. It was so nice, they had posted a big card on the stateroom door and we had a cake whit candle delivered to dessert on the day. It was so nice. It is just a really nice thing. It is all in the details. We did not expect anything. Since we celebrated 5years wedding day onboard Equinox and we did not receive any form for knowledge of the day. This time we had gone all in compared to earlier. We had a aqua class cabin, well kept. The cabins is very similar to the ordinary cabins. But the shower has more jets and you have access to persian garden and Blu. The food in Blu is very our cup of tea. Lots of salads, fish, seafood and vegetable. It tasted really good and we were taken good care of. If we can, we will do Blu again. you can really taste the difference from the MDR. We had some lunsj in the buffet and aqua spa. Lots to choose from, but on the millennium class, the lay-out of the buffet is long and you must walk all the way around to see whats on. Service in bars and cafe al bacio were good. They help you as fast as they can, overall quality in drinks and presentation is good. Entertainment is very personal. Some like it, some dont. This cruise it was change of the cast in production shows. So it was nice to see some familiar faces from earlier sailings back on the stage. They did 2 shows onboard. We seen them before, so we are a bit tired of it. But the cast did a good job. The guest entertainers on this cruise was very good. We had a really good time on all the shows performed. Live music around the ship was good but not the best. We had better music last cruise... The string due was not the best on the seas. We prefer some of the others we have had before. It was the 3.sailing we have whit cd Rich Clesen. He do a great job and we like him. Hope to see him onboard again in the future. As for activities, it was actually missing some details. We actually feel that is was missing something from day to day. Normally we never feel the need for this, but on this cruise it was to little on the meny. It not a big deal for us, but still. It could have been a little bit more offers/activities. It felt like the activity team was one step behind every day. After the short dry dock in may, Connie has a big screen back on deck 12. They show one movie a day. The selection was not great. It should have been a movie and something else every day. Ports of call in this cruise was some new and some old ports for us. Corsica was one of the highlights. It is very nice, docks in city and the water are crystal clear. Would we book another cruise on X and or Connie? Yes Read Less

I have cruised on Celebrity four times now and I really enjoy the excellence and good value on this cruise line. The ship was well maintained, and a good size without being too big. Service was always excellent and attentive everywhere was often busy and difficult to get a drink in some of the bar areas. The food was very good both in the main dining and the buffet area. I could always find something on the menu I liked and when I did eat our waiter’s recommended courses, they were always excellent. We also ate a total of four times in two specialty restaurants and while they were good, they were not better then the regular dining. Next time I will skip these. One area where the cruise did not stand out for us was entertainment. The majority of the evening shows were singing and dancing which we do not care much for. We would of enjoyed more different acts like magicians or comedians, but that was sparse on this ship. The itinerary was really great on this cruise and we got off the ship everywhere except Ravenna (I was not feeling good there). Our very favorite stop was Valencia, where I hope to visit again. This was really an outstanding cruise in pretty much every way and I would highly recommend it. Read Less

The ship is lovely, older than some of the new glitzy models but more to our taste. We had an oceanview, fine and a very reasonable price. Deck two, quiet and fine for the short time we were there. The cabin steward was ok, not great but kept the cabin clean. We had the classic drink package included, which we made good use of! The staff were great, not once did we have anything less than great service. Numbers of staff could be greater but we just went to the bar ourself rather than waiting. Several staff shone above the others and we made sue we put a comment card in and tipped extra. The ports were good, Venice, Dubrovnik and Kotor being the highlights. We were a group of 10 and this was our first time to the Mediterranean. This cruise followed a Danube river cruise. We embarked after spending 3 nights in Venice and I would recommend at least 3 nights there - though it is expensive. We travelled as a group by water taxi to the port. This was the most economical for us as we had lots of luggage and are all seniors. Embarkation was smooth - we were on board by 11am and enjoyed lunch on the deck. Clouds rolled in near sail away time, but the rain held off just long enough to sail by Venice - something not to be missed! We went ashore at all ports and at least took the shuttle to town. Walked the walls in Dubrovnik - worth the time. Totally enjoyed Catania stop where we went to Mount Etna and Taormina. This cruise was chosen for the itinerary. We like the size of this ship - a little smaller than Eclipse etc. Though it is older, the recent renovations are good. Seem to be many coats of paint on the balconies etc. But Connie is still in good shape. I really wish Celebrity would add a piano bar. Maybe get rid of Cellar Masters - there never seems to be anyone there. Or Sushi on 5. We did appreciate that there seemed to be less push to up sell this year - i.e. specialty dining, spa etc. And I would like to see the cost of internet come down and be faster. It is a part of everyone’s lives now - perhaps unfortunately. Overall a great trip! Read Less

Travelled with 2 other couples. This cruise has been on our bucket lists and we finally were able to take this cruise. We did stay in Venice for 3 days before boarding the Constellation. Very impressed. To start, our room 8003 was amazing. An Oceanview at the front of the ship was huge. No balcony, but the extra space made up for that. Could have fit another queen bed in there and still have room to move. I have a little bit of mobile issues and stayed around the ship one day instead of doing shore excursions. Our room Stewart checked with me a few times that day when he saw me to make sure all was well, and asked if he could do or help with anything. ( Charlie was his name) all the staff we found to be so kind and fun loving. Very polite and always smiling. The food was excellent. We ate at the spa, the buffet, the dining room, the bistro, and the Tuscan grill. The only complaint we had was there was too much food.the evening shows were great..comedians, music, bands, and the silent disco is a hoot. The main reasons we took this cruise, was the cruise line and the ports. We did do our own private excursions. The ship is not overly big. I found it quite comfortable with my mobility issues. I did not use my cane at all. The age group on the ship was also great..averaged 35 and up. Not too many children. Saw maybe 8 or 10. Even the passengers were friendly with one another. This was our first time on the millenium class ships so we were a little apprehensive. We shouldn't have been as we all enjoyed the size of the ship, layout and slightly fewer people. 3 of us shared the Penthouse suite and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Obviously the space and layout of the suite are both exceptional but our all time favourite Butler, steward and every member of staff we met were friendly, efficient and willing to go the extra mile. We have had a very poor Butler once in the past so we have now had our confidence restored in Celebrity. Dining in Luminae was great, you can order off the other menus if you ask so the choice is very wide. We tried sushi in 5 once and enjoyed the food even though we are not experts on sushi. Lunchtimes we tried Oceanview and Aqua spa cafe and enjoyed both once we had managed to find somewhere to sit. We were often ashore so had some local snack whilst there. Entertainment both day and night was fine for us, we did a few dance classes, trivia quizzes and went to shows when it was visiting artists all of whom were really good. Not keen on the big shows so can't comment. The activities staff seemed very friendly and good at their job and Rich the cruise director was one of the best we have had. We had organised our own shore excursions both just for the 3 of us and with a small group on the roll call and really enjoyed each port although they were all at a distance from the town/ city we were visiting. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We have sailed to Europe many times before and wanted to experience different ports. This itinerary worked for us since it went to three ports in Spain that we hadn't visited before. Venice, Dubrovnik and Barcelona were an added attraction since they are among our favorites. We have actually sailed on the Constellation four times before and were happy with it's recent renovations. As usually, staff and service on the Celebrity line was outstanding. The stage shows were good It seems dinner times were moved later to 8:45 p.m. which made getting to the show on time virtually impossible. Although we don't always chose to go, it seems we were not able to get there on time. On our next cruise we are considering changing to Select seating time. Shore excursions were wonderful. Lunches were delicious and really gave a "taste" of the local cuisine. We flew in one day early to enjoy Venice and stayed at The Hotel Ala (a beautiful hotel.) The service and location to St. Mark's Square made it an excellent choice. I would recommend it if ever you are visiting Venice. Read Less

We picked this cruise because of the ports of call and I love the M class ships size. I have read other reviews that say the ship is dated not sure I understand we found the ship beautiful in excellent almost new condition. For the first time in years, we took just an oceanview stateroom on deck three and loved it. We do like Aqua class but received a great group rate so thought why not try it and with the savings it paid for our hotel room in Venice at a 5-star hotel. We arrived at the Marco Polo airport in Venice at 9:00 am and used Blitz VIP Service which met us at the gate picked up our luggage and we were led to the front of the line bypassing 300-400 people through customs and immigration to a private car. We were at the cruise port by 10:00 I was a little disappointed being Elite they gave us boarding cards and ours was number 4 and they were boarding 1 and 2. This is the first time I have seen this I expected priority boarding and do not feel being Elite means much anymore on Celebrity we boarded early anyway because I went ahead and walked on without waiting for our number to be called we were tired and hungry. We had breakfast and lunch every day at the Oceanview Cafe on deck 10 we found the selection and service to be very good everything was fresh and more than enough selections to please my wife and me who are very picky. I thought my wife would be disappointed with open seating in the San Marco Restaurant but wow the food and service were excellent every night. We sat at table 152 close to the entrance it almost felt like a private dining area our waiter Sukarta was the best we have ever had very friendly and professional. The bar service was good to excellent favorite was the Mast bar, the Martini Bar was excellent but for some strange reason, they would play very loud what they called "retro" music which chased us away most nights it was terrible. The entertainment at the pool and the bars were very good the shows were just fair at best. I loved Athens best my wife loved Venice best and both of us did not care much for Mykonos. Santorini, of course, was the most beautiful and wish we had more time in Corfu. Our best tour was in Katakolon with Kostas Theodorakopoulos of Visit Katakolon tours. Any of you who love to Cruise must visit Venice and Athens in your lifetime and no better way than with Celebrity. Read Less

We had a wonderful time on the Celebrity Constellation. The ship is in great shape and just the right size- neither too small or too big. The staff and service exceeded my already high expectations. Little touches such as offering champagne and mimosas on arrival day, sorbet and cold towels by the pool on days at sea, and fruit infused water upon embarking back on the ship at each port of call added so much to the experience. The food in the Main dining room was by and large good (although the evening after the first chic night was a miss) and the specialty restaurants we dined at, Qsine and Tuscan Grille, were superb! Every day at 4 PM the Oceanview Cafe offered an afternoon snack with the scones and the empanadas were amazingly delicious and such a treat. This was our first Celebrity cruise and we are now sold on this line. We put a deposit down for another Celebrity cruise and look forward to it. Read Less

As a first time cruiser, travelling with a disabled person, I had read some reviews that worried me but Connie and her staff were fabulous. My companions and I found the staff to be extremely proactive at offering help. We had a super quick check-in where staff came forward to assist us and get us through every stage quickly. The ship is spotless, the crew friendly, caring and professional. We had two balcony staterooms, one at the stern and the other on the starboard side. This meant we always had a great view of sail always or port arrivals. Departing Venice on the stern balcony was breath taking as was arriving at Corfu. The two stewards attending our rooms were outstanding, offering a friendly smile or assistance whenever they saw us. We found the ship had plenty to entertain us and we would definitely pick a cruise on Constellation again. We had an amazing holiday. Read Less

I am a history fan; I have long wanted to see Greece. This cruise was a great way to scratch the surface. Departing from Venice was an amazing bonus. Cruising down the canal past the city of Venice was incredible and really a great selling point for this specific cruise. Celebrity sold us on their service last January while on board Silhouette. Don't misunderstand Celebrity Constellation is not Silhouette, but it is Celebrity. Celebrity service is far better than any of the other 4 cruise lines we have cruised on. Yes, Constellation is 17 years old, but once you get onboard I just did not see the age. She looked far better than many newer ships (except Silhouette) we've been on. Onboard Experience For us being able to get around ship quickly is important. I think the date of the selection was critical to our experience. As grandparents to 3 boys, we love children; however, we go on vacation to recharge and enjoy ourselves. With this cruise beginning on August 28th, there were few children onboard. We did not have to listen to children running up and down the passageways outside our cabin. Perfect for sleeping late. Our cabin was amidships near the elevators. Perfect for getting to deck 10, quickly. We never had to wait more than 1-2 minutes for an elevator. We lived the fact that we could review our onboard account from our cabin television, daily. We had pretty big plans while ashore, so we did not plan late nights aboard. This does not mean we did not go to the evening shows. I wish I had taken notes on the entertainers who came aboard, but... In any event, we really enjoyed Lorraine Brown and the fact that she performed an evening show and a matinee several days later was great. We did enjoy the onboard singers and dancers. The aerialists were especially good. I believe one show was too much, Elyria (not sure I've spelled it correctly); we found the subject matter offensive/borderline offensive. Ports of Call 3 Sea Days - well needed days to rest 1. Katakolon - Ancient Olympia, shore excursion, interesting, but now I've done it; I won't do it again. 2. Santorini - Wow!!! You anchor in the caldera and the view is amazing. I've read other reviews of complaints about long lines for the cable cars. We never waited longer than one cycle of the cable cars. Walk or ride the donkeys if you want, imho, the smell of donkey urine and feces are a take away from a good cruise (although for some probably great for a good laugh, but not me). We visited Oia, got the Blue Dome shots, and walked as far as you could go. The road to Oia is interesting. Back to Thira (Fira) for quick tour and back to ship for a long, quiet nap. 3. Piraeus (Athens) - 2-days here. The port is 20-30 minutes from downtown Athens. Day 1 - Instead of touring our first day, we took a ferry to the island of Poros (where my brother-in-law grew up). If you get the opportunity, go to Poros. We only spent 4 hours there (ferry trip is about 2 hours round trip), but with the help of my sister's in-laws we had a great opportunity to see the island from a more personal perspective. This island is beautiful. I would come back to Greece just for this! After returning to the ship, we took the Metro to the Athens Plaka district and proceeded to get quite lost. No matter, we walked up to the Acropolis just as the sun was setting and then got lost in the Plaka district. IT was late when we returned to the ship. Day 2 - we had an Athens City Tour with add-on Acropolis tour with Shore Excursions Group. As enough people did not book the trip, four of us were given a virtual private tour of Athens - Perfect! 4. Mykonos - another beautiful location. We were off the ship early for our personal walking tour of Mykonos town. Love it, until later in the morning as the crowds began to build. The windmills and Little Venice are short walks from the tender dock Have lunch or coffee in little Venice, you might meet the local mascot, a pelican walked through the sidewalk cafe as we finished up. 5. Corfu - So many choices for tours, but did not want the long tours out into the island. There is so much history right in Corfu town. We took the shuttle to the terminal and walked out and caught the Hop on-Hop off bus. Corfu town is a small town with small streets and was quite crowded early making for a 20-30 minute ride to Kanoni. At Kanoni, get off and walk 300-400 feet to see and visit Mouse Island (beautiful view) Just across the channel, from Mouse Island, are views of what many believe looks like Capri. Here, you will also view aircraft landing at the island's only airport. BTW, the boat ride to Mouse Island cost 5 Euros round trip for 2; 5-10 minute ride. We left Kanoni and went to the Old Fortress, very impressive; especially when you consider when it was built. If you're up for it walk to the top - it is a long haul, sometimes made worse by people stopping to take photos on the narrow steps. Take your photos from the top, you won't miss anything. Service and Crew The ships crew are amazing. We were always warmly greeted by the crew everywhere we went onboard. Our San Marco dining room servers: Waiter - Widastra, Asst Waiter - Ram, & Sommelier - Susana were wonderfully friendly and warm. In 15 cruises, we have to say they were the best we've ever had. Thank you so much for that. We ate in the Tuscan Grille & can only say, "what's not to enjoy here?" The Tuscan staff were amazing hovering just out of view, but always available in an instant when something was needed. Great! In all of our previous cruises, we probably never had more than a shallow hello from the ships officers. Constellation was vastly different. We were always greeted by ship's officers, including the captain, saying hello, asking how our day was, how we were enjoying the cruise, and if we needed anything to let them know. We experienced this everyday. This is our first experience where our cruise director had anything to say other than a nod or simple hello. On Constellation, the Cruise Director Rich (sorry I did not make note of your last name, but won't ever forget your first name), was amazing. He was everywhere talking with guests. He greeted us as we boarded and he was there to wish us well when we departed at 0745. Thanks, Rich. This type of service is indicative of great management and leadership at the top. From my perspective, that is the Captain. I've been on several other cruises and never had this personal service. Thank you, sir! Embark/Disembark This is only my second Celebrity experience but embarking and disembarking have never been better on any other cruise line I've been on. Because this cruise was sold out, embarking was expected to be timely. We received a text and email indicating what time we would arrive for embarking. We paid no attention to this and boarded, as we were ready. Within a few minutes, we had our photos taken and were onboard. Disembarking went just as well. Unbelievably, we packed only carry-on luggage (took advantage of ships laundry) for 2-weeks in Italy and Greece. When it was time to leave, we left our cabin, early (we had an early train to Rome to catch) waited no more than 10-15 minutes and we were off and on our journey to Rome. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the itinery which allowed for an overnight in Dubrovnik and a further sea day later on. The ship had had a refit in May and you could see new carpet in most areas and most public areas looked great - not sure what other reviewers mean by tired as we didn;t notice this in public areas. Our cabin was a bit tired and there was rust on the balcony but otherwise the cabin was fine. Service was excellent in all areas -again, was expecting this to be worse than our previous Celebrity cruises from some reviews - but we had good, fast service and in all lounges the areas were well attended e.g. in Reflections from 10pm waiters arrived to serve during the bands and you were turning them down they circulated so often. Main dining room - generally good food - some strange choices on some nights but we looked at the menu then decided to eat elsewhere if nothing appealed. Our waiter (Clint) and helper (Yanti) were great as was the sommelier too. The Ocean View buffet is now great in the evening and offers a really high quality alternative to the MDR. The Greek nights were superb - three large Greek joints of meat and other Greek meals on offer. On the last day there was a great dessert display with croque en bouche and baked alaskas etc (photo). Qsine was good but they need to change some meal choices as we had been before 2 years ago and little seem to have changed. The ipad concept is now wearing thin too - no longer innovative. They need to lose the Sushi on 5 and change to a Tempanyaki that many other cruise companies have or have a "Lawn Grill" type restaurant from the larger ships. The ports were great. The excursions well organised as always. No issues with guides - all excellent, as has been our previous experience. The entertainment was excellent in the Reflections area - the three bands and DJ good. The main house band were outstanding - Just in Time. The lead singer is quite simply something else in her energy and a very high standard. The CD was visible and to the point and the young Activities leader, Emily was fabulous. They both said goodbye to guests on disembarkation - never seen this before and it was appreciated they made the effort. The theatre shows were a bit more hit and miss than we have experienced before but maybe not our taste. We loved Clare Maidin - superb pianist/singer we had heard on Reflection last year. The Base Tones and Mo Town performer were excellent too. There was a poor comedian, magician and Sam Kane who was strangely popular with some but we didn't enjoy his mimicking of Dean Martin. Two shows we attended by the cast - the Movies theme and world theme - both very good. We had seen the other two before (fairy tale and the over 18s one) and neither were good to our taste. (It did make me laugh to hear a lady refer to this show before she went to see it as the "Sex Show" - she must have been disappointed to see a poorly written panto which is delivered by a large Julian Clary wannabe.) Overall, we had a great cruise and would go again with Celebrity and on Constellation. The customer service is excellent and the ship a happy one. Read Less
