Our cruise aboard Celebrity Infinity was fabulous. We began with a stay at the Hilton Diagonal Mar in Barcelona. The hotel was flawless and has an incredible pool/beach club and the view from our room was breathtaking. Barcelona is such a nice city to walk. The embarkation process was easy and uncrowded. We boarded around noon and our stateroom was available around 1:00. Enough time to wander the ship a little bit.... I was a little apprehensive of what the ship's condition would be based on reading some reviews on this site prior to leaving on our trip. There were a number of reviews that described the ship as tired. We found the ship to be very clean in all areas. It is scheduled for dry dock and a major renovation in November 2020. The stateroom was in good condition. All of the furniture and fixtures were clean and in good repair. The public areas appear to have been renovated in recent years and the public area furnishings and décor was up to date and in great condition. The stateroom did lack some things that I assume will be addressed in the November 2020 renovation. in this day and age where everyone travels with a phone and iPad (or laptop) there were not enough power outlets available. We brought a 10 unit charger station and were able to overcome this challenge. There also was NO power outlet in the bathroom. There were three of us in the cabin including our 11-year old son. We were in an Oceanview cabin with a pull out sofa bed for our son. I would not recommend this configuration as it minimized the space when the bed was pilled out. An overhead berth would have been more accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised that every single crew member was friendly and demonstrated excellent hospitality. Without exception! There were plenty of activities to participate in and entertainment to enjoy. The "Fun Factory" for our son was well run and had everything to occupy and entertain an 11-year old. The ports on our itinerary were nice and varied with an emphasis on Greece. Read Less

My wife and I were very happy with the food, service and appearance of this aging but beautiful ship. The staff in Micheal's club was particularly helpful and attentive. We sailed on a back to back in a Celebrity suite, actually a comfortable, on board, apartment. The ship is classic with wood accents and panels.Celebrity is making a huge mistake ripping out the extravagant wood panels and classic decor to "revolutionize" the ship. The pre-modern design is beautiful and comfortable The food served in Luminae restaurant is delicious but a little heavy for our tastes. However, we can't complain about multiple fillets and lobster in champagne sauce. Typically, we would pay over $100 for a similar meal at home. My wife and I have over 100 cruises on a variety of lines and the Celebrity Infinity is near the top. Many thanks to Vedran, the excellent hotel director, John, Jeffrey and Wim, the concierge team, and the entire staff for the personal service and for an exceptional experience. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of ports, We have always had the best service on Celebrity. This cruise did not disappoint. Main dining room service was the best. We cruised with my cousin and his wife. We booked select dining and ate at the same time almost every night. We had the same waiter every night. The waiter was outstanding. He gave the best service I have ever had on a cruise ship. We have cruised 37 times. We enjoyed the ports in Spain . They were the best. We flew in Barcelona 2 days early, it was the right thing to do. We took ship tours at every port except one. Entertainment on the ship was very good. They had a British Comedian who was very funny. The singers and dancers were also good. The had a new guy and girl singing duo RAEGAR they were so good we bought their CD. On the down side we had a storm at sea that caused us to change a port and but we still had 9 ports in 11 days. It rained all day in Rome. We took the Vatican tour. Inside the Vatican is amazing, Read Less

Reading the reviews about the Infinity made me a little concerned about the age of the ship being we were doing a transatlantic trip 8 days at sea and ending up in Portugal and Spain.I cannot understand how some people can complain about this ship. The trip over seas was exceptional the ride smooth and the staff wonderful. I cannot begin to say how wonderful the experience was. I think if your looking for problems you could find problems on any ship but if you go to enjoy yourself and the company your with then you can enjoy whatever ship you are on. Our room was spotless and our room stewart, Sergio, was the best, always willing to do anything we wanted and always doing it with a smile. We have done many cruises and we don't go on ships looking for things to complain about, but look for the good things..Our day consisted of Sergio greeting us in the morning then we would go up to the 10th floor for the breakfast buffet or down to 4th for a sit down breakfast. Each day we would play cards or join what ever activity offered for entertainment for the day. Lunch was always at the buffet which they had plenty to god food to offer for any appetite you felt like having. Then onto dinner WOW we never had a bad meal all 14 days. Marteo and Mart were great waiters on the 5th floor. My husband loves to eat and whatever he wanted it was given to him with a smile. Then onto the entertainment at night, the shows were outstanding we went to all of them. Then onto the casino which I have to say I won and came home with money..overall if your hellbent on finding problems you will, but really try hard to enjoy a wonderful trip on a great ship the infinity still has a lot of life in her even though she is old..we love it from beginning to the end , fantastic. The excursions were not the best..we had six stops and I would say out of six we four that were halfway desent..Hop on Hop off buses were not so good. Read Less

Folks have already written about different aspects of this 14 night cruise so I want to highlight just two- the very FUN Activities team headed by Brittany (sp? I hope right), and the wide variety of live entertainment My wife, Sue, and I are PARTICIPATORS; we dance, we play every trivia, attend every game and contest and see every single live entertainment that is offered. Heck, we want to get the most for our money. We both felt this activity team was one of if not the best we have come across. Brittany, Shirly, Ari, Chico( if I forgot to mention someone, I apologize) made simple trivias, silly contests and karaokes seem like entertainment events. I saw Ari take a simple Jenga contest between the crew and cruisers and turn it into what seemed like the most fun Olympic event of earth. Seriously the warmth and fun emanating from them could be felt--and we spent a LOT of time with them, especially Brittany and Shirly. Carlos was a great leader for the group. Live entertainment abounded (although there was no piano bar, darn)...two dance bands, a guitar and singer duo, solo guitariest, string duo, special gigs by the orchestra, and even a cruiser choir, which took a lot of time and committment from not only the cruisers, but the production show musical director. Thirteen live acts at night-comedy, magic, a mouth dropping arial act, solo entertainers, three production shows - the iBroadway which we saw twice. Plus there were five afternoon live shows. Sure we liked some less than others, but we were willing to experience them. I will add that we enjoyed the buffet better than the dining room. Of course my wife was disappointed with the small lobster dish in the main dining room (heck on our next ship we had NONE), but I had a very delicious beef Wellingon. Finally this will be a cruise we will remember as we are the couple mentioned by TXrangegal in an earlier review who made the presentations of US Presidents and their wives to our group of history buffs, I guess you could say. The cooperation we got from the staff was outstanding and we could not have done it without the event manager working hard for us. LOVED the many sea days and hope to save enough money for an even longer trip with more days at sea. Met so many fun people playing the trivias and contests, whom, although we will never cross paths again, this moment of brief intersection will always be remembered. Read Less

Everything was great except for the rain on a sea day. Well almost everything. It is a matter of opinion. Wish we didn’t attend the game show that had 3 couples competing and revealing their secrets, etc. One couple were just very pushy and obnoxious. It consisted of two females and you could see them discussing their responses before their turn. They also seemed to push the life style they had. Glad the longest married couple won. There were a large group from a Canadian Comany that chartered a portion for their top performers, about 550. This resulted in all the announcements also in French. Other than that they helped make ship rather empty. It was as if 550 guests weren’t aboard. Ship still looks great for being around 19 years in service. We would book again but the prices for us are getting beyond our VW budget and Bentley style of cruising We went thru customs in Key West as it was our last port other than Ft Lauderdale. It went very fast. In Fort Lauderdale we were off ship and in our car by 8:00. It was just a get your luggage and walk thru the custom booths. Don’t worry about booking if the time and price is right. The ending is sad because we had to leave. Read Less

We picked this cruise because we were celebrating my birthday and it embarked on that day. It was on my bucket list. We stayed in Ft Lauderdale previous to the cruise and enjoyed the warm weather as we are from Pennsylvania. We researched a lot online and on you tube as to all of the rules, documentation, and cruise tips. So we were prepared for lines, waits, crowds, and frustration. We were travelling as a group of 4 adults. We boarded the ship really fast! We arrived when we were supposed to and the process was so fast we never stood still for more than 5 minutes! This was the case getting on/off @ ports and at disembarkation day. Everything went smoothly, our cabin was ready on time. Our luggage arrived without a hitch. All of our reservations were correct, The ship was beautiful. We loved the food, and service. Bars got busy and you had to wait for a drink. I am not sure I always got premium level wines/cocktails @ the bars as I had paid for the package. The activities were entertaining, like karaoke, trivia, and other type games. We enjoyed the great places to enjoy cocktails away from the loud and crowded pool area. We like the pool but did not find it as relaxing as other places on the ship. My favorite bar was the Sunset Bar at the back of the ship, live music gave it a great vibe there. We did go dancing several nights and had a great time. The silent disco is hilarious and fun, must check it out. It was 2 x on our short cruise. We enjoyed the Trolley Tour in Key West. It had rained and when we left the ship we were given unclear directions to find the trolley which made for a rough start as we got lost in the rain. Nassau was just shopping and pressure to buy, but we expected that. Maybe an excursion would have been a better call. But we returned to the ship early and enjoyed the ship. Overall this was the perfect size ship and amount of time to get a good idea if you like cruising. The ship was not too big and we found our way around. There was plenty for us to do and eat and drink. I did feel like I had fun and did relax. We have booked again with Celebrity for a longer itinerary because this cruise went so fast. I wished I had 3 more days to relax more and do everything I wanted. . Read Less

Just finished up a 5 night on the Infinity with a business group and was very satisfied with the experience. While (as some have previously said) the Infinity is at the end of her current life and showing some age, she is still a beautiful ship and the crew does a very good job of maintaining/hiding her flaws. Overall, the service on this ship is excellent - from the dining room to the bars to the activity staff. Very clean throughout. For a smaller ship, there are plenty of places to grab a drink, chair, or just a bit of rail. Food was more than adequate overall and at times was phenomenal. Itinerary is just-about-right in length, and the ports of call (Cozumel/KW) are a nice mix of activities. The crew is very obviously passenger-satisfaction-focused and while there is always an outlier or two, we as a group couldn't have been happier. Read Less

Perfection is very rare but with Infinity’s always smiling and helpful crew,, flawless attention to detail, beautiful design, amazing food and wonderful entertainment, it is as close to perfection as I have ever experienced in my 100+ cruises. I was so impressed with the staff, they went out of their way to provide incredible service with a smile. The ship is spotlessly clean and very well organized. Trellis dining room was beautiful, food was excellent every meal. My only downside was the breakfast buffet, which could use hotter food, but this is a very small downside to an absolutely wonderful cruise. Entertainment was very good, especially the Beatles show, which was performed one evening in the theater and one afternoon poolside. It was like being at a concert, amazing! Cruisers varied in age but everyone related to the Beatles music. I Infinity is an amazing ship and I thank Celebrity for always providing excellence. Read Less

My husband and I took our first cruise ever to celebrate our 20th anniversary on Celebrity's Infinity. We were extremely pleased with our trip. We upgraded to Concierge Class (Room 8060) and thought it was spacious for a cruise ship and loved the balcony. We liked being able to dine in the Trellis Restuarant when we first boarded and by the time we finished our meal, our room was ready. Our stateroom attendant was attentive and prompt. The outside deck area was kept clean by the staff but you had to get outside early to get a lounge chair. Deck 12 was our favorite space on the ship to lounge in the cabanas and take in the views. We liked the number of choices offered at the buffet but found Trellis to be unimpressive. We did pay to dine at Qsine and it did not disappoint- it was a fun dining experience! The schedule provided a lot of options and we enjoyed the music and comedy shows. We scheduled a message at Canyon Ranch Spa and enjoyed the services. This ship was perfect for us seeking a getaway without kids. The ship does not have a lot to offer for families with small kids or even teens but perfect for couples seeking a quiet get vacation. My daughters and I wanted a cruise as our Christmas present to each other, but wanted to be home in time for family holiday celebrations. This one was perfectly timed, after their college finals, home before Christmas. We had previously sailed on the Celebrity Solstice to Alaska a few years before, and decided to stick with Celebrity. This is a slightly smaller ship than the Solstice, but same general lay-out. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas! We booked everything ourselves, and I know the risks of that, but it worked out just fine. Flew into Fort Lauderdale the day before, stayed in a hotel. We took an Uber from our hotel to the pier, got checked in super quickly (I had done the Fast Pass stuff before we got there). I had allowed Celebrity to assign the cabin within the balcony class to get a little better price. We got a nice cabin on Deck 7 - only downside was it was next to a place in the ship that jutted out, so there was not the full 180-degrees of view. But we got a decent price as far as I know, and can't really complain. The cabin itself was well kept, nothing special, smaller than the same type we had on the Solstice (the third person had a pull-out chair rather than a sofa this time.) There was a rust spot on the ceiling, maybe the size of a silver dollar, and I first thought maybe it was mold - the steward showed us how it was rust, and literally got it painted one day when we were out of the cabin! Food was AWESOME. Wait staff in the dining room functioned without a flaw. The buffet was also very good, often included leftovers from the dining room so a second chance at those delicious entrees! There was no shortage of food options and all of it was very good. My only complaint was that the ice machines in the buffet area often had no ice and I love to drink iced tea! All of the crew seemed remarkably happy, would smile and greet us in the hallway or stairs. We spoke to several who had been with Celebrity for years, so that says something about the cruiseline to me! A storm was predicted around the Florida Keys while we were sailing. Key West was the scheduled last day stop. The captain was able to change the route to go to Costa Maya instead of Key West. He announced the change, said the alternative was to just not stop anywhere because huge waves were expected and we wouldn't be able to dock at Key West. That was a bonus to me, a 2nd Mexico stop AND avoiding the bad weather. I was very pleased that they were able to make the adjustment so seamlessly! The excursions we booked in Cozumel and Costa Maya were average, not sure I'd do either again. We had a late flight home, so able to go on an excursion to a wildlife refuge outside Fort Lauderdale before going to the airport which was well worth the money. We had a little rain at Cozumel and kind of rough seas one night. I'm generally pretty prone to motion sickness but took Ginger Root capsules from Day-1 and was absolutely fine. There were many others on the boat who were not so lucky. I always go to Walmart and by a $4 bottle of ginger root before sailing! We only attended a couple shows. We had not selected a dining time, and found that trying to just get reservations each day resulted in times that were not conducive to seeing the shows. But there was plenty to do on-board, sometimes had to choose between a couple of things. The shows I saw were OK, what you would expect. I would 200% go on this cruise again, I'd leave today if I could. Read Less

The Infinity is a nice ship and the staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone. It is my understanding they are remodeling it within the next two years although I'm not sure it really needs any updating. From the buffet to the specialty restaurants, the service was constantly excellent. We had two staterooms, a suite for the first part then aqua class for the second. For suite guest, you get to eat in an awesome restaurant called Luminae. It is fantastic. I can't speak high enough of the food and service. For Aqua you get to eat in another specialty type restaurant called Blu. I now understand the debates on which one is better. I can honestly say both for an amazing experience and you really can't go wrong with either. The fast speed internet is a nice change from other cruise lines. It is so fast you can easily stream apps like Hulu, Netflix, etc.. The entertainment was really good and not cheesy like other other lines. I will say if you have the opportunity for the suite experience just one time in your life on Celebrity it is worth the money and is just such a nice treat. Our Butler Arnish was so great. Just know whatever stateroom you pick, you'll be happy on this ship. The coffee shop was so much better than the chains. We went there every day. Also great service. We already have another Celebrity cruise booked and will most likely be booking more after that. After being on several of the others it is worth paying a little more for the treatment you get on Celebrity. Read Less

Our disembarkation was very smooth and seamless. The ship was beautiful and in good repair. Those people who say its not must really be looking for something because its super clean, well lit, and looks great. Our Cabin and attendant (Seby) were great, we had a veranda and having the patio was very nice to have! Dining was SO GOOD! Check out Qsine if you're looking to upgrade a meal for a night, the entertainment is AWESOME! Our servers in the main dining were so attentive, helpful, friendly, and fun! The food we had was absolutely delicious and it was fun exploring outside of our comfort zones! The entertainment was alright, the shows were okay. It was a good way to pass the time. I think I went in expecting too much though. The theater is beautiful! If you're looking for something to do, one of our favorite things to do was at the very top and back of the boat... GO early and grab a little cabana, snuggle up with your SO, and watch a movie! Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cozumel was great, the people are super friendly! Key West was okay... our snorkel got cancelled. We rented an electric golf cart for the day and drove EVERYWHERE to explore. That made it more fun for sure! OVERALL: We would absolutely go again! Booked our next one on the ship, WE CANT WAIT! Among the companies I've been to, Celebrity remains my favorite. Despite the age of the ship, it is well maintained. Food excellent as well as the service offered. As small points to be observed, the cabin shampoo was not replenished, as well as the landing had long wait in the elevators, in addition to missing menus in the bars. However, these points did not ruin the experience, which was highly positive for a 5 night cruise.boarding of the concirge class was extremely agile, as was the process of landing at the ports. Especially positive point for the indoor heated pool and the staff in the main dining room. It was with family in which many did not speak English, and the menu offerings in Portuguese were extremely helpful for us. The ilounge with sales of Apple and JBL products is a differential. I hope to embark again with Celebrity cruises. Read Less

This was our first cruise and Celebrity did NOT disappoint! The ship is in A-1 condition! I thought it was absolutely beautiful and well maintained especially for it's age.I only have 3 complaints. Complaint #1- We encountered 1 very, very rude bartender..he must of been having a bad day, but not going to let one bad apple ruin a great review for the rest of the staff who were AMAZING! Complaint #2 the other passengers need to be given instructions at the Muster Drill on Buffet and Elevator etiquette. Complaint #3..I upgraded my drink package to premium for the "honest ice tea" and it was no where to be found on board. They had Arizona Ginseng Honey tea in a can, I'm just not a fan. This would not keep me from the premium drink package on the next trip. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND either the Classic or Premium drink package, it truly is worry free :) Other than those 3 small things which are not Celebrities fault the ship, the crew, the food, the drinks, the entertainment and the cabin were nothing short than AMAZING! Our wait staff in the main dining room was EXCELLENT by the 2nd night, our drinks were on the table before we even sat down. We had dinner in Q-Sine on the 4th night and we highly recommend this, the food was perfection! We can NOT WAIT to sail with Celebrity again! Read Less

Ship: While a smaller, older ship, Infinity was in great shape - much better than some of its contemporaries on other cruise lines. Cabin: Quiet and in great location Dining: Was in an Aqua class cabin which provides access to the Blu restaurant - the Blu staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. The atmosphere of Blu is quiet, contemporary and upscale. Service excellent. Entertainment/Activities: Had 2 different comedians, both pretty funny. Had 2 production shows, both very good. Had 1 'crooner', who started the show pretty good but wasn't my type of music and left early. The wife enjoyed the silent disco twice as well as the trivia. I enjoyed the Persian Gardens spa (included with Aqua class). Was very nice to have use of slippers/robe while utilizing the facilities. Service: Used guest services to inquire about missing OBC. Nice lady resolved the issue. Ports/Shore excursions: Used OBC to pay for Celebrity shore excursions - CM41 - Kohunlich & Dzibanche Mayan Ruins Combo - Ruins were amazing with not too many visitors. Bus ride long, but comfortable. Tour guide was OK but a little hard to understand. Lunch was a little disappointing - thin slice of ham with American cheese on white bread. CZ13 - Fury Catamaran Snorkel and Beach Break - the snorkeling was OK, not great reef but they fed the fish and they showed up. The beach was fantastic with lots of room in both shade and sun. FT01 - Everglades Airboat Ride (Ends at FLL) - simply a bus ride to the Sawgrass Rec Park, then to the airport. Very well organized and saw very active gators, turtles, and birds. Very easy/relaxing/interesting way to spend the morning instead of waiting at the airport for a late afternoon flight. Read Less

We have just returned from a 5 night Western Caribbean cruise on the Celebrity Infinity. We booked about a month ago and got a great Florida resident rate on a Royal Suite. It was our first time on Celebrity, although we have done more than 60 cruises, mostly on the all-inclusive lines of Seabourn, Silversea and Crystal. We wanted to compare the “Suite Life” on Celebrity to those lines, although our expectations were lower for a mass market ship. We had two sea days and ports of Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. We were amazingly surprised at how wonderful the cruise was. Service, food, cabin and fellow guests all surpassed our expectations. Our Royal Suite on deck 6 was very spacious with separate living room with dining table, sofas, big screen tv and slider to the balcony. There was a large bathroom with two sinks, Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The bedroom was very comfortable with a great bed and pillows, round window looking out from the bed to the sea and slider to the balcony. There was a dressing area as well as a large number of cabinets and a walk in closet with safe. The balcony was huge with a table and four chairs, two recliners and a Jacuzzi tub which was wonderful to sit it while sailing the Caribbean. We had a fantastic butler, Arsim, who took care of everything for us from having the bar set up we requested (the Suite included the Premium drinks package) to helping us connect to the free wifi included with the cabin. He filled our minibar with our favorite drinks and brought appetizers before dinner. Every morning at 6:30 he brought our requested pot of strong coffee with espresso added. He was pleasant and efficient and one of the best butlers we have ever had. Our cabin steward, Javier, also was excellent, keeping everything clean and neat and very welcoming with a Good Morning greeting each day. Just an excellent pair. When we arrived at Port Everglades, we were escorted to the Suite waiting area and met by Alexandria, the wonderful Michael’s Club Concierge hostess. Michael’s Club is a lounge for Suite Guests with complimentary beverages and appetizers before dinner. Ann-Mary, the bartender was fantastic at crafting the drinks we asked for, and very pleasant. Wines were generally good and included a wonderful Mer Soleil Chardonnay and a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Alexandria helped us with questions about ports and any other inquiries we had. It was a great environment to spend time in before dinner each evening and we met wonderful fellow passengers with whom we shared dinner some nights. We were escorted to embarkation lunch at Luminae and it was great! The lamb chops and burgers were fantastic and we met Alex the Maîtres D’ whose first day was our embarkation day. He was very friendly, and took care of all requests efficiently. He handled an unruly group of 4 people who took over Luminae one evening, loudly yelling and insulting fellow passengers. They did not return. James who is the head waiter was funny, gave us great service and made good recommendations all during our cruise. We ate in Luminae every day except one. We were able to order off the Luminae menu or the regular dining room menu, so we mixed and matched and received great food and service. The soups were especially good and I am still craving that burger. The only disappointing element was our anniversary dinner at Tuscan Grill. We had made a reservation for 7 pm and arrived a few minutes early. There was no one there to greet us or seat us and we basically were ignored. Finally, one of the waiters came up and took us to a table right by the kitchen door. We asked to be moved and were seated at a table for 2 near a large group. It was not the atmosphere we had hoped for as the room was very large and open and felt like a meeting hall. Finally the Maîtres D’ came up and instead of welcoming us said, “You came at 6:58, too early for your 7 pm reservation.” Not the welcome we had wanted. We did find a wonderful Primitivo wine to have with our dinner and had an order of carpaccio, charcuterie, salad and porterhouse steak. The steak was overcooked and the strip side very tough. We could not finish it. There was an upcharge of $18 for each steak to our surprise (we did not see it on the menu but it was there – our fault). But the steak was not up to the quality we expected. Service also was off as we waited a long time. In the middle of our meal the Maîtres’ D’ came over and said he wanted to move us to a window table. So we had to pick up our wine, glasses and plates and move. It was dark out and there was no view. Not sure why he moved us. Unfortunately, at the next table, two people who had obviously over imbibed were yelling, screaming and laughing and grabbing the waiters. It did not make for a romantic evening. At the end of dinner our waiter came up and said “they just told me it is your anniversary, do you want us to sing?” He brought a small cake with candle and grabbed a female server and said “sing.” We left quickly. We decided to eat in Luminae for the rest of our meals. But, to our amazement, when we returned to our suite, we found a box of chocolate truffles and a bottle of Perrier Jouet champagne, courtesy of Hotel Director Ante Sarlija who had learned it was our anniversary. What a nice touch! We were honored to be invited to the VIP Navigation Bridge Tour and luncheon with the officers in Blu. It was a lovely event with wonderful food of appetizers of grilled vegetables, Greek salad, charcuterie, and main course of lamb chops, filet Mignon and sea bass. Each woman was given a rose and the officers were very friendly and good conversationalists. We especially enjoyed meeting Sayda the Guest Relations Director and Staff Captain Xenakis. The Executive Chef Madhukar Lama from Nepal came out and received acclaim for the wonderful food. He was very visible the entire cruise, checking on the meals and they were indeed some of the best food we have had at sea. On the two sea days, the Oceanview Buffet was the only venue open for lunch. The food was varied, well prepared and abundant. Everything from sandwiches to salads to carved meats to ethnic food was available. There also was an ice cream bar and luscious desserts, including sugar free cakes and ice cream. The ports were typical Mexican ports. Because we had been there before and done the Mayan ruins, we just chose to walk around the port areas. Cost Maya obviously is in the middle of a building boom and the port area is filled with little shops (many cruise ship owned like Diamonds International) but also there is a shuttle to Mahahual, a small beach city with many local shops and restaurants and beach chairs to rent. It is a $4 taxi ride back to the ship. Cozumel is a larger city and has many shops and restaurants, a flea market and you can take a fast ferry to Playa del Carmen in 30 minutes. Activities on the ship were the normal ones, bingo, trivia, shopping talks and the dreaded art auctions. The pool and hot tubs were full all day as passengers enjoyed the beautiful weather and calm seas. Entertainment was good, especially the two comedians onboard. Also in the bars and coffee areas, there were always musicians playing piano or guitar, and a string duo, creating a nice atmosphere while having a drink or coffee. Disembarkation was a breeze, with Alexandria escorting us to the gangway at 7:30 am. We passed through the Global Entry immigration area and were in our car on our way home at 7:45 am. Overall, we were really pleased with our Celebrity Infinity cruise. Service and food matched any all-inclusive cruise we have taken. We did not notice the large passenger load due to the separate dining areas and Michael’s Club. We will definitely look to book again, when we can find a good value on a cabin to once again enjoy the “Suite Life.” Read Less

This was our 4th cruise on Celebrity and the first on the Infinity. The five night was a great value as a getaway from the approaching winter in Ohio. And give us a cruise fix until we sail the new Edge on Feb 17th next year. We chose this cruise from our past experiences on Celebrity and the value. This was our 13th cruise with trips on Carnival, Princess, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. In general we felt the ship to be in better shape than expected (for an older ship) and the crew and staff were amazing. We were able to book a Celebrity Suite in cabin 9096. Comments: - Sailing in Suite class is worth the price. We were given an officer escorted embarkation so no lines. Access to private bar (Michael's Club) and private restaurant (Luminae). More on those coming. - For a ship built in June of 2000 it really was in better shape than expected. While the decor was a little outdated, most areas seemed clean and not worn out. I had read reviews pre-cruise that said lots of faded and worn furnishings. We didn't see that at all. Yes some rust here and there, but you really had to look for it. I give the ship a high rating. - In a Celebrity Suite, CS, we had a large living room, separate bedroom and bathroom. This included two sinks and a jetted tub. The balcony was huge. If you book this type of suite choose a "forward facing" balcony. Better view. As with the ship we felt it was in good shape for the age and CLEAN. - Being able to eat in Luminae is worth every penny for suite class. Our waiter, James, was amazing. The food was as good or better than anything we have had on a cruise. We also ate in Tuscan. Excellent food and service. We thought the $45 per person worth the expense. We snacked and ate one lunch in the buffet and it was just average. The truth is the worst part were the rude guests pushing and shoving to get their food. - We attended several shows and loved them. Great entertainment. - SERVICE! We can't say enough. This is what makes Celebrity better than the other comparable cruise lines. Enough said. - We wanted to enjoy the ship specifically in port when everyone gets off. We have been to both ports so we didn't do any excursions. - A few negatives. We didn't love the layout in Michael's Bar. For those that have been in this venue on bigger ships we liked the large bar area to sit. The Infinity only had couch and chair seating. They need to do a better job of policing the pool area. Too many people laid out towels to reserve lounge chairs and weren't there for hours. The pool staff needs to monitor that so guests can more easy find seating like we have seen on other ships. Finally we will sail the Infinity again. Great ship for the price. We booked a sky suite and were able to upgrade into a CS for $220 just before the trip. Read Less

I traveled solo on this cruise, which for me was my fifth cruise alone. I am usually very comfortable being on my own and on this cruise, I met a lot of very nice people so I was never lonely. The ship was easy to maneuver and was beautifully decorated. I enjoyed all of the attention to details that the staff performed and always remembered my name and my preferences. Being in Aqua class, the food was always delicious - the hot food was served hot and the cold food was served cold. All ingredients were fresh and appealing. I don't usually attend the shows on any ship, but made it a point to hit the comedy shows and enjoyed those. Luigi, the cruise director was very animated and seemed to love his job of getting the guests involved in the activities offered by the ship. I loved, as always, using the Thalassotherapy pool as well as the Turkish Bath and the Aromatherapy steam room, plus the steam room in the women's area. I enjoyed my cabin's drinks and appetizers. I can't say that I was overwhelmed by Costa Maya but did like my visit to Playa Mia in Cozumel. Read Less

We decided to take this cruise about 6 weeks prior to its sailing. We are a retired couple, living in Florida and it seemed like a good “break in routine” for this time of year. It was a 4 night cruise with stops in Key West and Nassau. This was our 53rd overall cruise and 12th with Celebrity – we have Elite status with Celebrity and started cruising with them in the mid 1980's on the Meridian. The Infinity is a Millennium class ship and the smallest Celebrity sails these days. We have sailed on her before as well as the Millennium and the Constellation. They are all very similar in layout and amenities. We drive to Port Everglades – about a 70 minute drive for us – we park at Park N Fly as it is very convenient to the port and they provide transportation to and from the terminal. Embarkation had already started when we arrived and was very easy and quick. I had checked in on line and that speeds up the process as well. We were on the ship about 12:30pm – cabins were not to be ready for about an hour so we went to Sushi on 5 and had lunch. The menu there is an ala carte menu and was delicious. By the time we were finished the announcement that cabins were ready had been done. Our cabin was an outside cabin on Deck 3 – 3099 – we were close the the Guest relations desk and the main lobby and the mid-ship elevators. This makes getting around the ship easier for us. It was a great location, quiet and the cabin was spacious enough for us with plenty of storage for a 4 night cruise. The bed was very comfortable and our cabin steward went out of his was to be sure we had the pillows we needed. Our luggage had not been delivered so we unpacked our carry on and went up on Deck 4 and outside for awhile. The Muster Drill was being held at 3:15pm – so we went to our muster station which was in Michaels Club – with Celebrity you don't have to bring your life-jackets and you don't have to line up on deck. The drill was concluded and by then our luggage had been delivered so we went down to unpack. The bathroom, while small, had a big shower and was quite adequate. We ended up at the Rendezvous Lounge for the sail away which took place around 5pm – there were 2 other ships in port and they left first. We had chosen Celebrity Select Dining which means one can eat at anytime from 5:45pm to 9:30pm in the Trellis dining room. I had made a reservation when we came on board for 8pm. We were seated right away at a table for two. Each morning I called for a reservation. We always ate between 8 and 8:30pm – the food was excellent as was the service. Since we are Elite with Celebrity, there is a morning continental breakfast served for us in the Tuscan Grill – very conveniently located for us on Deck 3. The menu contains pastry, smoked meats and salmon and cheeses as well as fruit and a variety of coffees, teas, fruit juices and Bloody Marys, Bellinis, Screwdrivers. We had breakfast thee most mornings and one morning we ate in the main dining room and then went to the Tuscan Grill for coffee and pastry. A very nice perk in our opinion. Another perk is a cocktail hour from 5-7pm either in the Constellation Lounge atop the ship or at any bar on board – one can have 3 drinks from a very nice Bar menu of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. On port days the dining room did not serve lunch so we ate at either the buffet, grill or spa cafe. We prefer not to go to the buffet during peak hours as my husband has some balance and walking issues and it is hard for him to navigate it. The food from all of these venues was very good with a lot of choice. On the one sea day we went to the main dining room for lunch but didn't find anything we particularly wanted to eat so went to the grill. It was nice having two port days and one sea day as on the port days most passengers were off the ship and one could easily find an outdoor place to sit – even on the sea day though we did not have a really hard time finding a place to sit and read and watch people outside. The weather was good – if a bit cloudy one day – and we spent a lot of time outside. Our favorite place was in the Spa pool area which is domed and has a wonderful pool and a Spa Cafe. The main pool area was great for us on port days but was “jumpin” on the sea day and we avoided it that day - I cannot speak to the entertainment on the ship as we had good intentions, but never made it – we don't gamble so the casino holds no interest for us. The officers and crew were very nice and visible during the cruise. There were a number of “meet and greet” times with the Captain and his officers. We also enjoyed the area around the Cafe al Bacio – great coffee and tea drinks, gelato, and the pastry is gratis – There are a number of alternative restaurants – Sushi on Five, Quisine and Le Petit Chef, and the Tuscan Grill – all of these have a cover charge or an ala carte charge. We don't go simply because, for us, there is too much food at one time. The menus did look inviting though and we heard good things about the food. There is also a special restaurant for Suite class guests called Luminae, and one for Aqua class guests called Blu. And, of course there is a grill on the pool deck, an ice cream bar in the buffet as well as pizza and pasta bars along with the usual buffet food. All in all, it was a great cruise for us – it seems that 4 or 5 night cruises are the best number of days now for us. Debarkation was very good – another Elite perk is a special waiting place (Tuscan Grill) to get off the ship with an abbreviated continental breakfast served. We were scheduled for 8:25 and actually got off at 8:15. It was quick and easy. Celebrity does very few announcements during a cruise and even on debarkation day. The Captain's Club hostess kept us informed of which numbers were getting off when – there was no immigration form to fill out for those of us who bought nothing. We were home by 10:30am and ready to pick up our dog who was VERY glad to see us - If you have any questions about this cruise, I have kept the Celebrity Today info. We enjoyed our short 4 days cruise to Key West & Nassau. This was our Second cruise with Celebrity. Our first was on the Equinox. We find Celebrity ships are classy looking and well appointed. The buffet area is wide and un-congested, with items icely spread out buffet. Customer service in Infinity was top notch as well, whether in the dining room, pools area or on board shops. We had a smooth experience with embarkation and debarkation. We had a nice balcony room on this ship, without any of the Aqua or other class upgrades. Our room steward Ashraf was great with his information and anticipating our needs. Our room was always maintained in immaculate condition! We never had an issue getting chairs around the pool..unless you showed up mid-afternoon. Celebrity offers buckets of beer specials as well..6 Beers for $25/= with Gratuities. Onboard entertainment was good - We had Comedian Steve Bruner one night..very funny guy! As this was our Second cruise with Celebrity, we received an invite to the Captains Club event in the Constellation lounge with basically an open bar and some appy's. The Captain and his crew was there and recognized loyal Celebrity guests - One couple were on their 160th Cruise!!! Overall, a very enjoyable cruise on Celebrity. We are looking forward to our next cruise with them. Read Less

We dined one specialty restaurant - Qsine. Food was excellent.and the show that they have was a hoot We didn't see any shows so I can't comment on them. We especially enjoyed the Martini Bar. The drinks were great and the bar staff were very entertaining. I really loved having the premium beverage package as I love coffee and really enjoyed the coffee bar! The pastries and cakes were very good there as well. We met a lot of friendly people and really enjoyed ouselves. This was my 3rd Celebrity cruise and can't wait to book another. All three first time cruisers said they are definitely cruising again! We are thinking of making this an annual trip. Read Less

For the past 8 years or so, Celebrity has been our go-to cruise line. While we have tried other lines, we always come back to Celebrity. Now we have a child and feel like our time with Celebrity may be over for a while. But since he is only 2 and can't participate in the children's programming yet, we decided to do one (possibly) final Celebrity cruise. I selected the Infinity due to the 5 day length and the room. The five days worked great for a first time cruise with our child. I wasn't sure how he would react to time on the ship. The second factor was the room. We booked room 7199 Family Verandah. This is a corner aft cabin with an extra large verandah. We loved the room. Pros: Staff - The staff throughout the ship were great. Most greeted us with smiles and many by name every time we saw them. Our son was greeted by name by many on the cruise. He really enjoyed the interaction with the crew. Food - We ate in the main dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For dinner we had Select dining. The food in the main dining room was good. Not over the top, but certainly better than we have experienced on other lines and consistent with our past experiences on Celebrity. They offered lobster on the formal night. The steak offered was a thin cut strip steak. Not my favorite. So if you want good steak, you should try Tuscan Grille. Breakfast service was good. The food was similar to what is offered in the buffet. But it was nice to have table service rather than fighting the lines at the buffet. Lunch was also acceptable. The service always seemed a bit chaotic at lunch, but certainly better than the buffet. Disembarkation - Although we had a car seat, three pieces of luggage, two back packs and a two year old in tow, we did walk off. And due to doing immigration the day before in Key West, walk off was literally walk off. No wait at all. Just a flash of our passports and the room keys and we were done. Other passengers - The clientele on this cruise skewed to the older. We have cruised HAL several times and found the fellow passengers on this cruise in the same age range. While my wife and I are both 50, we certainly felt like the young ones. And having our two year old with us, we were concerned about how the older crowd may react. Other than an occasional snarky look, the interactions were great. Most of the older people seemed to enjoy having a well-behaved small child on-board. There were only 25 children on the cruise. And our son is too young to participate in the kids programming, so he hung out with mom and dad the entire cruise. Which meant he joined us for evening music before dinner in the Cellar Masters and the occasional pre-dinner martini at the Ice Bar. Cons: The negatives are few. The ship is showing some age. The sofas in our room seemed a bit worn. The shower was not as clean as I have experienced in the past on Celebrity. While this may be our last Celebrity cruise for a while, it's not due to the cruise line. It's just not tailored for children. But that's intentional and we understand. We will shift to Royal Caribbean and reserve Celebrity for the occasional child-free cruises we may do over the years. Read Less

We hopped on this cruise Last minute as we found a fantastic fare. Since it was off season there were few children. We, husband and myself, cruise fairly often and this is our third cruise with Celebrity. Getting on the ship couldn't have been easier. Had a nice lunch at the buffet, which easily handled the usual first day chaos. Muster drill could have been more thorough. It seems most liners have been deficient in this regard. Service: Excellent, never saw a grumpy staff member the 5 days there. Our room attendant Esther was friendly and kept our room in great shape. Our waiters Mark and Jaya(sp?) were always efficient and seemed happy to be there. We tipped them all extra. Even though we had anytime dining, the hosts always seated us in a 2 top in their section. Every encounter we had was friendly. We had a malfunction with the room safe due to my own fault and it was quickly fixed. Food: Very good! We didn't do specialty dining. There was quite a bit of upselling but it was never pushy. Lots of options in the buffet. They had the typical fare to the exotic. Lines were never long, lots of seating indoor and out. Plates were bussed frequently. Dining room food was good as well. They offered lobster and duck on dress up night. The tables were a little close together but it was never jammed packed and noisy. They even had music piped in during dinner. Gym: Good and usually busy in the morning. I took several free half hour workout classes. My instructor was Ivan the adorable and adorable he was. Cabin: Inside rm was adequate, lots of storage, had small pull out couch, bed was comfortable, tv had CNBC, FOX, CNN. Celebrity always provides 2 robes per cabin which i really like. Make up mirror by desk was too dim. We never heard our neighbors except once. Entertainment: Theater productions were average. Usual mix of musicals, comedians. Good but not memorable. Silent disco was really fun. We took several dance classes from the show's dancers. Debarkation was very orderly. We used Global entry at customs and bypassed the long lines. In summary, a very relaxing 5 days in a lovely ship that was easy to get around. Service was A plus. Read Less

I really enjoyed myself on this boat. Embarkation was a breeze. Didn't wait at all. Lunch was very good at the buffet. Since we cruised last time on RCL it was sooooo nice coming back to Celebrity. I was on a Keto diet and they had a ton of choices. Their sugar free items were outstanding. We upgraded to Aqua Class and so glad we did. Food was great in Blu and our server was wonderful. My 23 year son thought he would be eating super healthy at Blu after I forwarded him the info about the restaurant. He actually said...'what am I going to eat? A quinoa ball on a piece of kale?" He was pleasantly surprised when they had steak and potatoes on the menu. The desserts were incredible. The chocolate cake was life changing. (Cheat day) The cabin was nice. No complaints. Yes, the bathroom shows it's age but definitely didn't ruin our vacation. We went to Key West and did the kayak excursion through the ship. It was very interesting. Our group loved it. We did the catamaran snorkel booked through the ship. It was o.k. The seas were a bit choppy so it was difficult for my daughter in law who had never snorkeled. The equipment was sub par. The music was way too loud also. Don't think I would do this excursion again. I have booked with a private boat before in the Bahamas and had better experience. We had onboard credit so we chose to book through the boat. Overall everyone we traveled with said they would do it again. Thanks Celebrity for a wonderful vacation. Read Less
