Cruise ship was supposed to be newly remodeled, but they went cheap on using double pane glass for the balcony doors, so you can hear EVERY LITTLE THING! We have been on several other cruises with other lines, and Celebrity advertises as “luxury” and “superior” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. In the past one of the best parts of a cruise is how friendly and fun the staff is, but don’t expect that on a Celebrity cruise. The spa overcharged us and was the most rude of all, also not honoring our appointment time (which I had made months in advance), they saw us an hour late, which messed with our other plans for the day. The food was a huge letdown in quality and taste, it should also not take 3 hours to get through a meal. Tried to get issues resolved on the cruise ship and with their post cruise department, but they do not care. Spent $10k on a post deployment vacation for my fiancé so we could rest, relax and see beautiful Alaska together, what a letdown. Celebrity offered $500/each towards our next cruise, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Read Less

This is our 1st Celebrity cruise, but it was my 11th overall. Definitely did not live up to my expectations. Since the ship was refurbished, we expected it to be nicer, unfortunately it was such a disappointment. Cabin: we booked a concierge class. heat was broken. it was so cold. We called service desk and no one picked up the phone, so we went down to guest service desk & it took them about 1/2 day to finally send someone to our cabin to fix the heat. Our cabin steward was attentive & polite. Food: very poor menu, less than average food. Prime rib was chewy, seafood was not fresh. Self service buffet served almost same food every day. Food was either cold, too salty or tasteless. There was no service, no smiles, except the last night some of them tried to make conversation with us...then asked us to write good review. What a joke! Public restroom: We were locked in the restroom stalls twice. Thanks goodness that there were someone in the restroom, so they were able to go get the maintenance person to unlock for us. Entertainment: lack of entertainment. There was not much to do on the cruise. Ports & shore excursions: Seoul highlight excursion was OK. Shanghai highlight excursion was below average. I would not recommend Celebrity and will not be back myself. Read Less

The name of the game here is from embarkation to disembarkation "SELL SELL SELL". Penny pinching and extremely bad value for money. Travelled Aqua Class - very poor experience - services advised in this class did not happen! AMENITIES: Robe - don't other cabins have robes? Wine Classes - never happened! Hair Dryer - Don't other cabins have Hair driers? STATEROOM FEATURES: Interactive Samsung Flat Screed TV - never worked - most days nothing! Dual Voltage - what does the other staterooms have for power? SERVICES: Priority Check In - Never happened! Kir Royal on arrival - Paper cup of water with orange slices in dispenser - more penny pinching!! AQUA CLASS - List a whole lot of crap - just window dressing. Not worth the extra $ Food in Ocean View cafe (third rate) Very difficult to produce good food from second class produce. Fruit selection in Asia, Honey Dew Melon, Cantaloupe, cut up apples and cut up oranges - extremely poor fruit. What happened to tropical asian fruits - happened once only on 14 days. Very very poor. Food basically slop! Dined in Blu - did not see a shrimp for 10 days - very poor menu. Hardly ever chicken on menu and really only thin steaks. Had a very bad experience then dined in Metropolitan - very average food. Guest Services - a contradiction in terms - On this ship the guest is always wrong. The crew wants to turn every mistake back on the passenger! On embarkation bag lost until 8.30pm - Then abuse from arrogant security staff member. LGBTQI - Conducted in Martini Bar at 7.45pm each evening. Once advertised in daily news then put on notice board. The bar was full of a very mixed group of over ladies and hardly ever with gay guests. Crew not interested - Never happened on any other ship I have been on. The ship is to be dry-docked soon - maybe some of the staff should be dry-docked or given a lesson on how to be polite and helpful towards the guests who are responsible for their wages. Opted out from daily automatic tipping - with 18% service, why the tips. Following opting out of the automatic tips received an envelope in stateroom from Cabin Steward suggesting how much tip to leave him! Unheard of but follows the arrogance of the very unpleased crew. No smiles from anyone! Most issues reported without any explanation and definitely no compensation!! Air condition in cabin was fixed following 3 attempts - very poor! Told by Guest Service complaints had been sent to Head Office. On contacting Head Office no report received! All no service and no smiles. What a disaster Never again on Celebrity - ship a tub - hope the dry dock can perform miracles!!! Read Less

The Millennium is going in for a redo in January. It should have gone in already. Celebrity should never have sailed it. The ship is in terrible shape, the food especially at night in the main dining room is poor. From the salads to the main courses it tastes like they've been on the plate for a long time and just reheated. I have never sailed Celebrity before and won't again. We should all get a refund. Having sailed on other ships it was very disappointing to have to spend 2 weeks on this ship. The only place to get a decent diner was the buffet where at least they had they fresh food cooked on the grill. There were not sufficient servers in the dining room at peak times and the waiting time at the tables was bad. Also there were people smoking in areas around the pool at most times. Read Less

We choose the cruise because we liked the itinerary. We knew the vessel was an older one, but once on board, all was big disappointment. The vessel is really old, carpet torn/ chairs and tables dirty, in one word scruffy. Staff was rude and not helpfull and food was cold, on the end we went to the ocean view restaurant to have fresh made pasta or stir fry. The so called Captain made joke out of everthing and did not lead by example. Only the staff of the cafe on the 5th floor needs compliment, great service and friendly staff. We cruised a lot and normally i don’t write reviews, but for this particular cruise we had to because as I mentioned it was the most horrible cruise ever, We are realy questioning which direction Celebrity is going, nice to give lot of sttention to the two new vessels but don’t forget the other vessels and more importantly your guests which are on board. My neighbors invited us to travel with them. They have traveled with Celebrity before and apologized for the experience agreeing it was a terrible experience from the room steward to the dinner steward, the food and everything in between. The service on the ship was terrible; leave for breakfast and 2-3 hours later the stateroom wasn’t made, yet the steward was always smiling. The food was worse than the worse cafeteria food both on Deck 10 and in the dining room. The service in the dining room was S-L-O-W. At least 20 minutes between ordering the meal, receiving the starter, another 20 minutes to receive the main course and at least another 20 minutes after completing or asking them to take a dish away to receive the next item of disgust or the dessert menu then yet another 20 minutes to receive the dessert. Yet the steward and his helper always smiled. The food received at the table at dinner was cold and had to be returned many times. The spa only offered services of the sauna. My husband and myself were denied access to the steam room and other spa facilities other than those at cost such as massage services. When we asked the room steward for CLEAN robes in the stateroom because those in the stateroom had a horrific odor about them, the room steward hung smelly robes in the room. We had to ask for CLEAN ODOR FREE robes in the stateroom. We paid for transportation to the airport at the end of the cruise. We set on a bus at the cruise terminal for 3 hours waiting for the bus to leave the port. We were instructed to disembark and be on the bus for transport to the airport at 0630. We sat on that bus without food water and access to restroom facilities for 3 hours before the bus drove the 2-hour route to Narita Airport. There was constantly a crowd of people outside our stateroom during the cruise. I am a disabled senior citizen. I went to the Main Lobby to complain about the constant crowds outside my stateroom including the fact that other passengers do not have to deal with such crowds at all times of day and evening and I was rudely mistreated by the fellow working the Captains Club. The officers and the crew on the Milennium are very disrespectful. Not only will I NEVER go on another Celebrity Cruise, I do NOT recommend this cruise line at all. I will forever stick with the cruise lines I have sailed with in the past....the wonderfully appointed Holland America Cruise Line. Heck! I have even had better cruise experiences on Carnival Cruises. Read Less

The first week by Celebrity Cruises done on land was the worst land tour we have ever taken and we have probably done 35 land tours all over the world. No food included and no choices on where to eat.Nothing was open, no restaurants , no coffee shops and the train ride of Alaska was cancelled due to weather. They contacted out this one week to an outside company and had no rep there to have a plan B.We spend the whole week going by bus instead of train, from nowhere to nowhere and seeing nothing. No activities were planned and they blamed everything on the weather. They should have sent a rep there a week before and either reversed land and ship, or just cancelled. We spent the week going from Safeway stores to Fred Myers grocery stores to buy snacks and drinks as there was nothing else available. When we got on the ship which is small and dated they said that they would give us each $150.00 as a compensation for having ruined our vacation and week. They now say that they can do nothing more. There were three buses of about 47 people in each. We were all un happy and they did not really care and still do not care.Ship was nothing special, lots of food, none of which was decadent.Gym wanted to charge $11.00 for spinning classes, claiming that they belong to Canyon Ranch, which by the way does not charge for classes once you are staying there. All in all, I will never set foot on any of their ships or trips again.Spoke to the assistant to the President and CEO , who said they have decide to do nothing for us.Very poor show for such a large company .Do yourself a favour , go with another company !I wish I had. We have cruised over 30 times and this is the worst cruise I have ever been on. We had a concierge class cabin that was in awful shape. The balcony was all rust and I wouldn’t put my hands on anything. The bathroom smelled like a sewer. The decorative pillows and throw were disgusting. We were locked out of our room for over 1/2 hour until security finally showed up and used a key to open the door. It took 4 people to finally get someone up there. Our phone did not work and had to be replaced. The circuits blew and had to wait for electrician to reset circuits. This ship should have been put in dry dock a couple of years ago and not next year. I was on this ship 9years ago and it was a completely different ship. Celebrity is not what they use to be. The only positive was our room steward who tried his best. Onto the food. Who goes on a cruise and loses 4 pounds? The worst food in both the dining room and the buffet. Fish was raw or meat had no flavor. Nights we would wait 40 minutes for the appetizer and by the time the entree came and we looked at it, we left The entertainment was generally poor. There were no activities during the sea days. Our friends had been on this ship 2 sailings before ours. They were afraid to tell us how awful the ship was. Huge disappointment! Stay away from this ship Read Less

We had sailed on Celebrity before but not on the Millennium. We wanted to go to China, Korea and Japan. We were really looking forward to it. As soon as we got on the ship- we were very disappointed to see the outdated and dull decor. It was actually depressing- like a cheap motel. Only four stores on board when we expected more. The interior of the main restaurant was dark and also out dated. My husband ordered steak and fries and got two small slices of steak and four fries- we never went back. Fortunately the cafeteria food was good. The bed was so hard that I had to call them to do something as I could not sleep. Because we had sailed on Celebrity before I was looking forward to sinking into a nice bed and just relaxing. They then provided a mattress pad which helped. Now comes the real problem-because of the fact that the ports were quite distant from where the shore excursions were going-each excursion involved at least 1 to 2 hours to get there. Imagine wasting your time touring a market when you wanted to see sights and do some shopping. Between the markets-food and fish- and the traveling time- the excursions were some of the worse we have encountered in 10 years of cruising. The ports were in deserted areas not near shopping or site seeing so you could not just get off the ship and do an independent trip especially as sights were a good hour away and taxi drivers etc do not speak English in those areas. Now to the most upsetting part- the ports in the area of Shanghai close when there is too much dense fog and we could see why. This is a common problem for this area. The result- all the passengers had to cancel their flights home and reschedule-this cost us $1000- not covered by trip insurance. It was hands down the worst cruise I have ever taken and a good lesson in why you should always read the reviews of each ship-not go by just the reputation of the cruise company. Read Less

We booked through an online travel agent who advertised this cruise on Celebrity Millennium. The ship, they said, was "refurbished in 2016". After reading this, I would have expected the whole ship was refurbished or otherwise it should have read...partial refurbishment. But no it did not mention exactly what had been refurbished. We took it on good faith and booked a 14 day cruise around Asia. The ship is old but I must say that the public areas and the specialty restaurants were fine. However, the pool was disgusting with rust and mould showing everywhere. Our Cabin #7114 was in terrible condition. Metal sticking out of the edge of the bed (the staff covered this with towels so we wouldn't cut our legs). Torn and dirty mattresses, Rust and peeling paint on the doors. Rust on our verandah. Dirty and broken and sofa. Chipped basin in the bathroom. I became very sick with gastro for 6 days so I wasn't able to leave the cabin and had to lie in that dirty bed....YUK. Maybe that's what caused my illness, because the mattress filthy and was in a terrible state. Read Less

For the most part we found service was not a priority throughout this cruise. Have been on many cruises with many different cruise lines. This was the absolute worst experience. We will cruise again but never with Celebrity!! Celebrity Millennium felt more like being on a cheap and rotting Days Inn on the water rather than a cruise ship. DRINK PACKAGE We had the drink package. Found that we had to run after waiters to get a drink. When sitting at any of the bars, NEVER, not once did anyone come up and ask if we wanted a drink. At the “Cellar Masters” we were told that was a premium bar and our card was not good there. We should have been offered the option to pay the difference for the premium drinks as had been stated to us, and not made to feel like an inferior class. At the “Oceanview Café” waiters would go out of their way not to make eye contact so as to not have to take a drink order. Once they would make eye contact, or we would run after them to ask for a drink, that drink would take nearly 30 minutes to arrive. Unacceptable! We got the distinct impression that Celebrity wants to sell you a drink package, but they sure do their best to make sure you do net get any drinks. INTERNET PACKAGE We had the internet package. After many complaints that we could not get internet in our room, tech support came out to check the wifi strength in our room. They found there was no wifi in our room. We were told if we wanted to use the wifi we would have to go to the public areas. It cannot be that difficult to program room assignments where if a guest has an internet package they should not be assigned to a room with no wifi. LOUNGES We like to sit and talk over a glass of wine. That was impossible on board this ship. Every lounge or bar had some kind of terrible twangy music going on. It would have been nice to have ONE lounge or bar as a quiet place. FOOD Food was basically some type of mashed up or ground UP meats given over and over with different sides. STATEROOM Staterooms have attached hangers which make it very difficult to hang clothes. The room's hair blower has to be held down in order to dry your hair. My hand ended up cramped every time I dried my hair. CANYON RANCH SPA Only bright spot in this miserable cruise. Staff was very professional. We stayed overnight in Bangkok so as to avoid the 3 hours back and forth to the city from the port. Seriously thought of leaving the cruise in Bangkok since it was so nice to finally get some great service. Read Less

This was not a 14 day cruise it was a 13 day cruise spending the last day and night in Hong Kong harbour.Where we left from. 1 The shows were below standard 2 The food was poor with the exception of 3 meals, which were excellent 3 The stops were impossible to experience night life or night markets with exception of Hanoi which was a 7.5 hour return trip by taxi or bus, unless you spent the night in a hotel in Hanoi, extra expense. 4 The entertainment on board, should you not wish to leave the ship in port, was non existent 5 You were not given any alternative information re travel should you not wish to take excursions eg Taiwan, there was a train direct. 6 There were no cooking classes re the food of the countrys we visited. 7 The state rooms were excellent. We had a beverage package, and drank cold drinks from the mini bar in our state room, they dont tell you this is not part of the beverage and charge you ,which is foolish,as you can order drinks at any bar and bring it down to your room.I did query this and they reversed the charges. 8 The service was excellent and the staff were excellent 9 Embarkation and Disembarkation excellent 10 The visibility of officers and captain, were unique, the captain was even down stairs in disembarkation wishing us all well. In all with the exception of staff and offices stateroom and captain a very poor cruise, which i would not recommend to any one,the worst cruise ever.We have travelled on Cunnard,Princess,Crystal,MSC,Costa and more, this was the worst. We chose this cruise as the places and timing were appropriate. We previously sailed twice with Celebrity and had a great time and good value. The food was terrific, the excursions were fine, the ship was lovely, everything was great so we came back for a third time. What a mistake!!This time things were at the opposite end of the spectrum. Yes, the staff was great, The room was fine, the balcony was terrific. The food was awful. Really - PLASTIC EGGS!! Cut it with a scissors! It was so bad we told the steward to stop the afternoon snacks as they were sickening, though the fresh fruit was O.K. The complimentary in cabin sparkling wine was so bad it was undrinkable! The bar drinks were terrible. Yes, we had the package that came with the trip. If you do not care what you drink and just need alcohol - great. If you are discerning, then there is nothing to drink. Even Perrier (water) is not included!! Very pedestrian and a shameless way to get you to "upgrade" They tried this with add on specialty meals as well as the drinks, a continual up-sell. Many developed a cough that only quit when we left the ship. Right away we felt better. Maybe the ventilation system needs checking as it could not deal with the pollution of the ports. Ports were crowded and air polluted, everyone wore face masks, but for the first time in Hong Kong, Vietnam etc. it was exciting... for a while. with poor food, so-so entertainment, poor quality drinks Celebrity has really hit rock bottom. Off the top of my head - The trip started off badly. We were delayed boarding and taken to a hotel ballroom 'for our comfort', there was not enough seating so we ended up sat on a hotel floor in the corridor for hours. The staff brought sandwiches which the passengers desperately grabbed for, we didn't manage to get any, one lady selfishly grabbed a whole tray of sandwiches for her own group leaving many without, lots of people went without (including one elderly Lady who needed food to take her medication, I worried if there were any diabetics) so this was badly organised and stressful. Some of the The activities on the ship we were not impressed with, e.g.1984's Karate Kid on the cinema TV, colouring in and bingo, the food was cold at times and below the standard we had on our last cruise, we saw joints of meat that were undercooked. We paid a lot of money for the excursions and in Manilla on the 2 excursions over two days we visited two destinations that were the same on both days. On the last night of the cruise the hot tub was cordoned off and the pools, the juice bar ran out and we reported this but it was still not filled yet the bar was open. When leaving the ship our room steward stopped us and told us we could leave a tip for him on the bed and he would return for it later. We worked hard all year to save for this break only to be really disappointed. Read Less

On Day 2 our toilets wouldn't flush, this continued for approximately 10 hours, and then would work intermittently for the next three days. We called guest services and they did not appear to have any understanding or care for the issue. I thought a flushing toilet would have been standard in all cabins There was no explanation or phone calls to explain when the toilets would be repaired. This caused great embarrassment between both parties. If the toilet incident had not occurred maybe the following things would have been overlooked, 1. There were socket covers falling off the walls in the cabins, 2. The hot tubs were cold especially the outdoor ones. 3. We had an all-inclusive drinks package but usually found ourselves running around looking for a bar that was open or someone to get us a drink. Yes we did pay 18% gratuity charges 4. The Aqua Class snacks in the afternoon were also a cause for concern, who puts shrimp on a plate in a room to be eaten later, this is food poisoning waiting to happen. 5. Room service was not delivered at the scheduled time, and when it did arrive it was always the wrong order. Good job we didn’t have any food allergies. 6. Our rooms were not tidied in a timely manner by the room attendant. Overall the Celebrity Cruise experience was far from superior, we had expected much more. After many cruises with Carnival in a lower class level, they were more attentive, and they have always given me the feeling I was an important guest. I do believe I could have saved a lot of money and had a better experience if I had gone with Carnival. Read Less

This cruise was recommended by our Travel Agent. We were very disappointed with the ship and the food. While the staff was courteous and accommodating, it couldn't make up for where the shipped lacked. We found it a rather boring cruise with not much to do on the ship. The sit down dinners were extremely disappointing. The beef was tough and full of grizzle. The chicken was rubbery. The pork was fatty. It just got worse with each meal. After returning back to the ship later in the afternoon, there was no food left. An almost empty salad bowl. They told us to wait for tea time. I have never been on a ship where there was no food. The desserts weren't much better. The best thing on this cruise were the croissants in the morning. How sad it that. We paid a lot of money for this trip only to be very dissatisfied. One good point was the 9:00 pm show each night. That is the only positive I can give. Another point is they need to increase the morning sit down breakfast longer then an hour and a half. The shopping on the cruise was pretty pathetic also. The casino if so small you can barely get around in there. The ship needs some help, it looks very old inside. Upon our return home, we informed our travel agent how disappointed we were with the trip. Read Less

I chose this cruise because we had sailed on the Millennium 3 previous times and we really looking forward to this cruise but were greatly disappointed. Previously the food was great, flakey pastries that were delicious and a variety of great foods were presented in the Metropolitan Restaurant, Chilled Watermelon Soup, a variety of gourmet foods and if one didn't like what was available a New York Strip steak was available. Now the food is heavily seasoned with garlic to the point of indigestion which could be due to a Mideastern chef. The pastry looked wonderful but was tasteless. The food was similar to the Carnival Elation, leftovers galore at every meal in the Oceanview Cafe and worse they were crusted and dried from being left on the serving line too long. Other passengers mentioned that the food was not as good as previous sailings as well. The food in one's hometown cafeteria is better in that one has a greater choice and it tastes better. After seven days on the ship we only ate four times in the MDR due to the lack of variety and lack of "special" food on the menu that we either couldn't prepare at home or eat at a local restaurant. A certain Italian restaurant could make a killing on the ship because their menu is far better than the Millennium. Cruise prices have increased over the past few years and who we had to pay for this particular cruise was not worth the money. It appears that Celebrity extracts as much as possible from the passengers and in return gives as little as possible. We cruise partially because of the great food presentations that Celebrity had on previous cruises, no fruit or watermelon carvings, towel animals are a thing of the past, no ice sculptures, no late night extravaganzas etc. And the Broadway shows? Forget it, they now have one and two person shows except for one show which we walked out on. The Millennium used to be a great lady dressed in the finest regalia and now it is a tawdry old streetwalker that has lost her youth and vitality with makeup caked on in an attempt to lure customers. The crew is great, no complaints there but the ship has fallen from it's former high standard, it is corporate headquarters cutting costs every way they can from no Q-Tips in the bathrooms to well worn towels. With the exception of breakfast, it's difficult to mess up scrambled eggs but the idd their best and the grapefruit sections are history-no more. Celebrity is rated as one of the high rated cruise lines but not anymore, as aforementioned, we have sailed a total of four times on this ship and it was great and that is why we returned this time only to be greatly disappointed. I Though that "Aqua Class" would be better... and was wrong! We traveled from Yokohama, Japan on a preposition cruise.. then to Alaska. Our first cabin on deck 2 had very little water pressure. The ship ran out of 'prunes' after two days at sea. Ran out of scrimp after four day at sea. The general buffet was disorganized... people tiring to enter in all directions.... food was NOT reachable because of the "plexiglass shield".. getting stuff form the second and third row ... was a joke. We did like the ships layout... however this did not makeup for the operational flaws. The stage shows were the best that we have ever seen and we enjoyed the late night "Cosmos Lounge".. with it's offerings. The food disapeared after 9:30 PM and except for pizza... nothing! This was our first Celebrity Cruise and ...our last! Too many other great cruise options for us to waste our time and money on something sub-par! Read Less

It was feezing were we were seated. The buffet choices and food quality were at a low end cafeteria level. There were only limited kind of fruits avalable during the whole 2 weeks and there not fresh. We were told that Celebrity does not buy anything in ports. No wonder! It was difficult to find an unoccupied table. Most of the time it was only a half of battle because their untrained staff would give away our table before we finish the meal. We would go for a plate, return to our table and find that our table was cleared and already occupied by someone else. Leaving a bag on a seat, or propping a chair against the table top, or telling the staff did not help - the staff was absolutely clueless! Constant hunting for a table then trying to finish the meal before losing our table was an unpleasant chore. Customs is Kobe were poorly organized - it took over 5 hours to get through and we lost a half of day of sightseeing. All in all it was not a pleasant trip. Many guests who were loyal to Celebrity were unhappy with the food and the lack of organization in Kobe. We will never cruise on this ship or any other Celebrity ships again. Read Less

never encountered such couldn't care attitude amongst staff, especially senior management and in particular in the main restaurant. Having just returned from the Far East wonders, including HK, Taipei, Nagasaki, Korea (Jeju, Busan & Incheon), Tainjin (Beijin) & Shangai, one has to believe that all was great! Let me tell you; it wasn't NOT; we traveled with Celebrity Cruises, which they claim to have 5 star modern luxury at sea. I enlist what and where they totally fail: 1) Cabin drawers with dust in them, 2) What I believe to be a poo or dried blood on the wall of the bathroom, the housekeeper claimed to be a wall plaster, which is not used on any ship at all! 3) Breakfast buffet on the Ocean cafe, always cold. Asked to warm up in microwave and being told there were no microwaves, 4) Coffee stations (8 places) serving luck warm coffee, 5) wife asked for an omelette and being told to wait 5 minutes, which is ok! she handed up waiting more than 30! 6) Bought a non-alcoholic cocktail packages, all bar personnel understood totally different, one gave a nice cocktail and one said only juices included. Reported to Management and had no replies yet! 7) Went to reception asking for a map and brochure of a port, was told straight "we have none" Receptionist (Joanne) was not pleased to help and didnt look at all happy to be there either. 8) Staff at buffet services were just walking around without knowing what really have to do! I felt sorry for them indeed, as I am hotel manager and love training's. Read Less

After cruising for many years this has to go down as the worst cruise we have ever been on. It was so bad that it has actually put us off cruising for the foreseeable future. Meals terrible, suite tired and was a joke been more comfortable on an oil rig. Met some lovely people that without, this would have been a 100% bad experience. The noise in the suite from pipework banging and running water travelling through other pipework was simply unacceptable. Staff knew of this problem and you would have thought they at least would have tried to rectify before we arrived! Ocean View Cafe on deck 10 resembled a chimpanzee tee party and staff there were not very good either. Fully understand that Celebrity are not in the same league as Regency, Seabourne or Crystal but this cruise was very poor! Did not have decent steak in 15 days. My wife sent most meals back from "Luminae" speciality restaurant practically un touched yet none of the waiters ever enquired why meals was untouched and being returned?? When arriving in Hong Kong decided to book a hotel and leave a day early, never been as relieved to leave a ship, you should not be left feeling like this at the end of an expensive holiday. Mystery virus going round the ship also and the amount of ill people with coughs and colds was horrendous. Have never seen my wife as ill. Our Butler in our suite was excellent and the staff in Michaels Club also very good Feet will be on "Terra Firma" for a while after this bad experience, sad thing was this holiday was for my 60th Birthday. I unfortunately will remember turning 60 OK after this bad experience. Craig and Judith Douglas Suite 9098 Read Less

Pre cruise information was dreadful, when I enquired about whether I need a Chinese visa for 2 days in Shanghai prior to joining the ship I was told that the 144 transit visa was not applicable to my trip. I purchased 2 visas at a cost of £340 , when I arrived at Shanghai airport I waited whist the other cruise passengers went to the 144 hours transit desk to obtain free visas, these passengers were told by celebrity that they did not need to buy visas. Celebrity staff need to be trained so that the same information is given to all passengers. On the first night I was trying to have a meal in the buffet restaurant, it was dreadful. A member of staff stood over me for the whole meal trying to sell me an all inclusive drinks package. This happened for several days after every time I went to the buffet, it was very annoying. The excursions on the ship are expensive, I did 2 both were disappointing, not as described on the itenary. I will never travel with celebrity ever again. Norwegian cruise line is much better. Millennium needs a refit it is noisy and rather shabby. Celebrity customer services needs re training. Read Less

Compared to Solstice Class ships a very, very disappointing experience. Public areas are old and dirty and not well maintained. Half of the showers in Persian Garden did not work. Ocean view cafe is crowded and noisy, tables used and dirty. Most of the ports are fare away from everything, even Hong Kong. Despite Aqua Class priority boarding one hour standing in line for embarkation. Lifts sometimes did not work. Indoor pool closed for 2 days for maintenance. Often forced to use specialty restaurants. Poor Bar service, no special coffee machine on Deck 10. Blue restaurant, service OK, food quality average, nothing special. No shadow for sun loungers except around the noisy and over swapping pool. Very noisy cabin because of a nearby pool pump running 24/7. Terrible!!!!! Rates for drinks and shore excursions are far to high for what you get. Never again a cruise on such a shabby ship. Think twice before you go on this cruise ship. It's a sham! There's nothing to celebrate on this stinking ship. Literally smelly from the hallways to the stinking yellow water in our bathroom. It's just very run down and old. The tv set in our cabin was so old that it blurred. Short changing customers by using low grade food, towels, sheets-----cutting corners where ever you go. The food in the restaurant was another shocker: The meat dishes, you cannot cut through because they were so tough and without a steak knife, the cutting becomes a wrestling chore. The ice cream always came half melted. Where is the enjoyment experience? They should seriously rethink their chefs and the kitchen preparation. Towards the last leg of the cruise, they were serving fried rice and chow mien in the café. The staff at the excusions desk were rude and trying their best not to be helpful, causing unwarranted confusion with some of the seniors on board. The dining room seating is another awkward moment where guests have to wait in line to be directed to your table, after the seating is assigned. What a great disappointment! Never again! Read Less
