Our third Uniworld cruise We took a suite and would certainly give it top marks.the extra space provided plus the little things like the provided laundry service, the daily fruit platter and afternoon nibbles certainly rated as a most enjoyable experience We would be very happy to travel again with Uniworld The staff (in total )seemed to read our minds and provided little things that were unexpected from being greeted when coming on board, to the cabin staff and of course the dining room people, they all did a great and professional job Our selection of shore excursions were wide and very well run ,the use of local guides captured the events in detail The specialist lecturers were interesting and new their subjects in detail ,this backed up with slides of their talk provided us with a taste of what we could expect over the next few days. We found this cruise a most interesting and educational experience. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the exciting ports we visited. We visited Israel and it was an amazing place. We stayed over night in Jerusalem and felt quite safe. The place is so full of history and is so powerful, just loved it. We thought the crew on Celebrity Constellation were great and very helpful especially a waiter in the buffet, his name was Angel and he was just loved by everyone. He used to sing Angel of the morning as he got you your coffee or tea, just a delight. We found the food in the dining room to be on the cold side and we went to The Ocean Liner speciality restaurant as we do every time we cruise with Celebrity but were so disappointed with the food and service this time. The Tuscan Grill was amazing. We only did our excursions that we arranged through the site on Cruise Critic with other members. We met some awesome people from all over the world. The days at sea could of had more games ect but all they seemed to have was Art Auctions and sales. The TV system needs upgrading and they played the same movie over and over for 24 hrs then changed it. We like to veg out in the afternoons when we have a day at sea to recoup after the port intensive cruise and on all our other cruise they had about 4 movies playing which was nice. There were all other channels on the satellite but mostly Bloomberg or news channels. We had a balcony cabin 6078 and then concierge 8076 the last cabin was slightly bigger not by much though. But we enjoyed our cruise very much. Read Less

Initially it was the route we wanted. The idea of a Viking ocean Cruise was new to us, but the ship facilities looked excellent and turned out to be superb. The plan had been to spend a day and a half in Istanbul, but the political situation meant that we were immediately coached to the ship and sailed away. An interesting visit to Troy was introduced as a replacement which although a shame was very acceptable. Good to have the special dining venues available at no extra cost. Generally the seating and meal ordering and delivery process was very efficient, the food of course was very good. 2 memories stand out - the spaciousness and decoration of the communal areas on the ship - and the friendly attitude of all members of staff who always had time for a few words. Not realising we had booked a maiden voyage, it was clear that both the ship and crew had been through a first class work-up. We mostly used the complementary excursions which, although simple and short, were very acceptable and gave us free time to explore or rest. The paid excursions were well organised and interesting. As a result we have booked our first river cruise (with Viking) and await the next Ocean Cruise catalogue. Read Less
