Deluxe Stateroom with Verandah (A1) Cabin Reviews

Not Quite Lux : Cabin 9129
Sail Date: May 2017
A lot of ship vibration and swaying. Located near a housekeeping station that was very noisy with housekeepers speaking and laughing too loudly. Good storage but the bathroom counter and sinks were too low.

Don't understand why you need a bath on a cruise ship. Probably just me. By not having a Bath you could have made room for a large shower thus giving you more space to manoeuvrer in the room. Also do not really think two basins are needed. This would free up much needed bench space. That being said, the bathroom is still very functional. Fantastic shower and water pressure. The beds and Linen are fantastic. For some reason there is a trend on cruise ships to limit the channels on your TV. Endless repeats all day. Read Less

One drawback to the ship is the small size of the verandah staterooms. At about 225 sqft, our stateroom felt smaller than it should have because of the layout. The bathroom is large and contains an unnecessary double sink. This squeezed space out of the rest of the stateroom. The closets are built-ins whose access is the small space between them and the bed - the width of the bedside night table. Overall, not the best access. The desk has a large chair that always seemed to be in the way when trying to maneuver in that area and the love seat was laughingly small. Had the bottom corners of the bed’s mattresses been left as square corners getting around would have been much more difficult. We have been on other ships with staterooms of this size whose layouts were much better. This is a definite drawback to the Symphony’s comfort. Read Less

Typical cruise ship stateroom with the exception that our bathroom had a tub in addition to the shower. Water pressure was good and although we were near the elevator, it was very quiet.
