Why too many guests for the size of the ship. There were not enough pool side chairs. No sitting in the buffet area. The disembarkment was a disaster. I have always self check out, the time given for this was between 7:30 and 8:300. We left our room at 8:00. Took over an hour and a half just to get off the ship. Where was the pool??? The only pool was kid size, the adult pool was smaller than my truck. The service and food in the Manhattan room the first night was the worst. It did get better on other nights. My wife has limited mobility, not handicap. Trying to find seating at lunch and breakfast was very difficult, too difficult for a cruise. The time moving, very slowly, through the disembarking was way too stressful on her. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL TAKE THIS SHIP!!!!! Taking NCL is questionable, if this is the way they run a ship. I was hesitant to book this cruise based on some bad reviews. I’m glad we did. I have cruised many times in the past mostly with Royal Caribbean so this was my first time with freestyle cruising. The cabins were standard balconies and exactly what we expected but our cabin steward, BJ was fabulous. Very friendly and accommodating. We had an aft facing balcony on deck 9. My husband thought it was a little loud due to the rear propellers, I personally didn’t mind. I enjoyed the variety of restaurant choices and the food everywhere was delicious. Not sure I like not having a set dining time and table but that’s just personal choice. It’s nice to get to know your waiter. My only real complaint was the necessity to tender at 2 of our 4 ports. Lengthy process that really limits your time ashore. I would definitely book a Norwegian cruise again but would avoid tender ports. Overall our group of 4 adults in our 50s had a wonderful time. The age group was compatible and we met a lot of great people. Shows were great, staff were unfailingly friendly, food was delicious, bars were not overcrowded. Don’t listen to reviews that claim differently. Read Less

We like ships wth no more than 320O passengers. Have sailed various lines in the last 10 years. Decided to try a bigger ship. A mistake. Too many passengers and too many had complimentary drink package. So the ship, was full of too many drunks, mostly ages 35-55 who were loud, disruptive, particularly in dinner dining rooms. If you don’t have a reservation for dinner you will wait in a line. Couldn’t see a show because you needed a reservation and none available. Ship is a floating bar/casino. Our cabin (category B.B.) was in a good location considering there were only 2 elevators (forward and aft). Cabin design was the worst, many other passengers said the same thing. Entering the cabin the toilet was on one side, shower on the othe. Sink, medicine cabinet was at the foot of the bed. 2ft between foot of the bed and vanity area. Very poor lighting. We were always bumping into each other. Crew was really great and food was better than average. Will never sail this ship again or recommend it Read Less
