Oh my goodness there are some whingers reviewing Edge. Ignore them! Ship - beautiful and ultra modern Cabin - modern & spacious. We loved the IV as you get the best of both worlds. Great light in the room. Window was never locked by the captain!! Blackout and mood lighting was v cool. Bathroom was fabulous. Spacious. Double sink. Big shower cubicle. Plaza - awesome. You have to sit and feel it yourself. Look up. Look around. And enjoy. Bands - great feel. Club - cool. Pool - in August so very, very busy. Pool water was clogged as over-used. No pool burners anymore and fewer drinks trolleys. Jacuzzi - simply too hot to sit in so disappointing. Food - passable but not up to our high standards. Had to send a few things back and in Le Petit Chef - which was fab - my steak was awful. Eden tonight!! Dining rooms a bit cramped and difficult to have an intimate dinner. Main shows - ultra modern and setting new heights. 4 amazing voices and best dancers we saw on a ship Ents - generally poor. Cruise Director lacking the presence of others we have seen. Some of his team a bit lazy and arrogant. Pool volleyball consisted of putting up a net, throwing in a ball and disappearing. One comedian on and he wasn’t great but possibly not his fault. Magic Carpet is a great addition. Tenders untra-modern. So if you like modern, just do it! Read Less

Chosen to experience the new concept of design, dates and ports also met our requirements. Overall we loved the ship, the cabin felt spacious, well designed bathroom with plenty of storage but a mouldy smell in shower a little strange. Cabin itself again well designed had a gripe with the location of the wardrobe as so close to the side of bed made access a little tight. The infinity balcony, gave us more space, however to us felt like an open window rather than a balcony and was quite a slow process to open blind and window. Also blind has to be fully open to open balcony. The location of 7295 I would not recommend, when the balcony was open we could smell cigarettes wafting up from the smoking area outside Eden, also become a gathering area for smokers with load voices late into the night. We had to pass 27 cabins to reach lift/stairs - no good if an item was forgotten great for getting 10000 steps in each day! Enjoyed all meals ate in all four main restaurants plus buffet. Service good in main restaurants but hit or miss when sitting outside of the buffet. Enjoyed some entertainment the guitarist was great, the theatre productions, not as good as seen on other ships. Ports because of size of ship tended to be commercial so a view of containers most mornings something we will certainly take into account when deciding on future cruises. Read Less

This was our first time cruising, it was a gift for my 50th BD. Our family of four did 7 days from Barcelona to Rome. We chose Celebrity Edge because we liked the itinerary and found a really good deal with Costco.ca where our 12 and 16year old cruised for free. Wow, we had such an amazing experience where do I even begin. First, me and my husband are both worried about sea sickness, we had everything on hand just in case but at the end we didn't need any of the meds, patches and wrisrbands, the ship was so smooth we didn't felt any of it. embarkation was smooth, same as disembarkation. Ship- like I said we had nothing to compare as this was our first experience. We like what we saw, everything new and clean. Cabin- when we did our booking, we went with Guarantee Concierge Class, we ended up with a beautiful room on deck 12. our room was roomy, with a king size bed and a pulled out trundle, more than enough room for our tall 16yrs old and 12 year. We love the Infinite veranda for extra room, we kept the windows closed for AC. used the chairs to hang cloths to dry when I hand washed them(they charge $3 to wash a sock). Celebrity knows how to design the space, they literally have every inch in mind. We especially like the charge station. Dining- Food was amazing!! Our designated restaurant was Cosmopolitan. They kept some items same but menu does change every night. Food was so good that we didn't feel the need to spend $55+/person on specialty restaurants. We tried Normandy one night, food was great, but had to wait a long time to get our meal. When we mentioned this to our waiter Johnathan at Cosmo the next night, he said we shouldn't have to wait and provided us with menus from Tuscan, Cyprus and Normandy, ordered what we wanted from other restaurants and he brings the food to us. Talk about service! After that, we dined at Cosmo every night. Oceanview cafe is also excellent! not your normal all you can eat buffets. They have everything, you name it. We didn't purchase any drink packages, we just traveled with our reusable stainless steel bottle and filled up with ice water for our excursions, handy in +30C temp. We would never get our moneys worth with any package. Entertainment and activities- Shows are excellent! Our 16yrs old liked the teen club. We went to silent disco, Acrobatic show, Beatles, Makcus Terall was really good. Service- Our cabin attendant Teodora was excellent, she is like a ninja, knows exactly when to come and leave. she kept our cabin spotless, always friendly and asked about your day. Our Waiter Johnathan goes above and beyond. We had a wonderful experience and would love to do it again. Read Less
