Majesty of the Seas

Majesty of the Seas - Royal Caribbean International

You'll love Majesty of the Seas if you want a short cruise with a party atmosphere and enjoy a happening bar scene, yet also want a splash park and activities for kids.

Majesty of the Seas is not for you if you want a shiny new ship, lots of amusement park-style attractions and aren't the partying type.

Nice cruise. Ship is older. Salad bar is limited, food in main dining room kind of repetitive but decent enough. My biggest complaint on the ship would be the poolside bartenders and the bar themselves....no stools to sit and get to know people like the other ships. The bartenders were no fun at all.The poolbar manager was miserable. Key west and Cuba both good. Cuba could depress u, it was decayingly beautiful, the Cuban people were wonderful. We took the old car tour and a evening nitelife tour...both good, both Non Royal Carribean excursions. Dont let them scare you into taking Royal Carribean tours....not necessary and when thru RC they are government tours and the Cuban people get paid less than if u book via internet on ur own then it is a private tour. Money exchange from American dollars into the CUC is so easy right in the terminal on the way out. Soom did take American dollars if you didnt have CUC. Cant speak to the food as I didnt try it. We did enjoy ice cubes in our mojitos and daquiris and that was not a problem. Overall enjoyable. Read Less

Majesty is the oldest, smallest of the Royal fleet and it shows. While the food service is above Royal's average the rest is far below. Even the layout of the ship is a bother. If you rely on elevators to go between floor good luck. Everything is all ajumble. Nothing fatal but it speaks to the lack of attention to details. We got notice of an excursion cancellation - 12 hours before it was due to depart. Funny thing was I had never signed up or paid for that excursion. Took 3 days of a 5 day cruise to Cuba to get my Diamond + status sorted out. While everyone did their job the only person I can point to that seemed to be willing to take pride in service to the guests was a guy who wiped down the tables and removed empty cups from the pool deck.. Cuba was great. Majesty was just transportation to the island Read Less

This was our family's second cruise on Majesty of the Seas. What we enjoy most about this smaller ship is despite its size there are many places to escape the crowds We always book two interior staterooms. On this trip we were on the second deck (2641 and 2135) The rooms were very clean and the attends did an excellent job. The rooms are small, (as to be expected) but we spend so little time in them this does not matter to us. Typically for breakfast and lunch we eat in the Windjammer Cafe. The staff and food is always good and there is plenty of seating. We recommend eating in the forward dinning area it is always less crowded. For dinner we book the 8:00 dinning time. The food was excellent, but the sevice was spotty. The head waiter Charlie was fine, but hard to understand. His second only came around a couple times the entire cruise. The excursions were great. In Cozumel we did the glass bottom kayak and snorkeling adventure. Our host Pedro did an excellent job explaining the importance of the reefs and was passionate about them. In Costa Maya we went on the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins and Blue Lagoon adventure. Would highly recommend this tour for any family looking for a full day excursion. Our guide Jay was very informative and did an excellent job answering all of our questions. The food was great. It consisted of fish, chicken, and pork tacos, grilled vegetables and potatoes and choice of drinks. This was our family's second cruise on Majesty of the Seas.
