Chosen to experience the new concept of design, dates and ports also met our requirements. Overall we loved the ship, the cabin felt spacious, well designed bathroom with plenty of storage but a mouldy smell in shower a little strange. Cabin itself again well designed had a gripe with the location of the wardrobe as so close to the side of bed made access a little tight. The infinity balcony, gave us more space, however to us felt like an open window rather than a balcony and was quite a slow process to open blind and window. Also blind has to be fully open to open balcony. The location of 7295 I would not recommend, when the balcony was open we could smell cigarettes wafting up from the smoking area outside Eden, also become a gathering area for smokers with load voices late into the night. We had to pass 27 cabins to reach lift/stairs - no good if an item was forgotten great for getting 10000 steps in each day! Enjoyed all meals ate in all four main restaurants plus buffet. Service good in main restaurants but hit or miss when sitting outside of the buffet. Enjoyed some entertainment the guitarist was great, the theatre productions, not as good as seen on other ships. Ports because of size of ship tended to be commercial so a view of containers most mornings something we will certainly take into account when deciding on future cruises. Read Less

We just returned form a Med cruise on the Celebrity Edge. It was absolutely wonderful. The ship is brand new, clean, beautiful. Everything went smoothly from embarkation to disembarking. Our cabin was the Celebrity Suite. We had Rhona our wonderful butler. The space was perfect. The entire staff we had interaction with on a daily basis were friendly and helpful. Pricilla Schmitt who oversees the Retreat Lounge is exceptional. We loved all the ports with the exception of Ibiza. I am unsure why that stop is on the itinerary. I feel Majorca would have been better. We traveled with our 13 and 16 year olds. Along with friends they had a super time. That for the kids was key - to travel with a group. I am not sure the ship would have been enough for them without their buddies. The restaurants were fine. I would Say Luminae had the best food. Next time we won’t shop around the dining rooms and we will have our dinners at Luminae. Kumar, our waiter, made the dinners at Luminae very enjoyable. As well as the breakfast. In addition to dining, I would say skip Le Petit chef. Food was not great and the “show” was on par with a Disney experience. Overall I give the Celebrity Edge a 10! My only wish is that it was longer! Read Less

Our last cruise was onboard a MSC ship and almost put us off cruising for life so bad was the experience fortunately our week on the Edge was a million times better and has restored our faith in cruising starting with a smooth check in followed by a lovely warm welcome onboard and welcome drinks and then been able to leave our hand baggage in our stateroom where we met our brilliant attendant Mistan who as we had a last minute change of stateroom made sure we got our luggage delivered to our new room and then did a great job for the rest of the cruise. We had one of the controversial infinite balcony staterooms and have to say we loved it as it made the room feel so much bigger and brighter. We used the four MDRs and the food and service was great, we only used one specialty restaurant the Rooftop Grill but we didn’t think it was worth the extra money. We had breakfast in the Tuscan Restaurant where we were in the capable hands of the lovely Captains Club hostess Elizabeth and her great staff. For lunch we picked a quite spot in the Oceanview or went to the Eden Cafe.We did our own thing in port staying ashore for a couple of hours so can’t rate the shore excursions, then back onboard to enjoy a quite ship.We loved the variety of nightly entertainment particularly the silent disco, ship bands and the love it or hate it Eden show, certainly something for all different tastes. We availed of the extend your stay option at the end of the cruise as we were staying on in Barcelona spending another day onboard using the pools and whirlpool, coffee in Cafe al Bacio and lunch in The Oceanview, certainly beats queuing for taxis in the heat and waiting for your hotel room to be ready. In summary what we got was attentive and friendly staff, great food and service, great entertainment and a beautiful ship plus lovely fellow passengers. Read Less
