We chose this cruise because we love the Royal Class ships and we knew who the maî·tre d'hô·tel was. On the Royal class ships the Enclave as part of the Spa is just such an incredible place to unwind, and it's only on the Royal class ships. We selected Club Class Mini-Suites because we loved the extra experience in club-class dining and were not disappointed. We have sailed to Alaska a few times and Princess has always been wonderful from start to finish. Our only blemish on the cruise was an excursion in Skagway, Photography, which was more time in the van than taking pictures. However, it was followed up with the glass blowing experience at the Jewell Gardens which was wonderful. We also purchased the photography package which allowed us to keep all the pictures taken on the ship and they are provided on a thumb drive too. This creates an excellent set of reminder memory for the cruise, and because they were on a thumb drive they were shareable immoderately Read Less

We had 2 stateroom cabins with Balconies on the ALOHA DECK A127 & A129. The had a connecting door inside and connecting outside Balconies doors. Cyrus was our steward and took exceptional care of us. We boarded Whittier. Headed to Hubbard Glacier to Glacier Bay National park. AWESOME!!! Next...Scagway where we did Yukon Expedition and white pass scenic railway Excursion... .AWESOME! A must !! JUNEAU next...did Best of Juneau excursions that was a Fabulous whale watching tour. We saw many whales & got great videos to show family & friends! We also visited the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier and had a Salmon Bake feast at Orca point Lodge. DELICIOUS! In Ketchikan we visited the town, shopping and attended a genuine Lumberjack show. Exciting! AWESOME Cruise! I highly recommend! VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE entertainment on board. Broadway level! Comedy show with AJ Jamel in the Princess theater was AWESOME and funny! Michael Misko was magical with cards! So Impressed what he does with cards! My Granddaughter really enjoyed the Puppies in the piazza! It was a Amazing opportunity for he to meet sled dog puppies for a one of a kind experience. We also enjoyed Encore and Sweet soul music and the Ballon Drop Party was amazing with Cruise Director the AMAZING MATT O!!!!! A great guy I bumped into over and over again on the ship and he was so down to earth each and every time! I think we are friends now! You simply can't go wrong with Princess Cruises!! Read Less

The food was ok . The state room was outstanding but it was a upgrade suite . The ship was very big very nice very clean . Staff was very friendly and the food was average at best except in the specialty restaurants it was outstanding . The entertainment on board the ship was very good especially the comedian who we saw two times he was awesome AJ if he was ever around my area I definitely go see him again he was very funny he also did two entirely different routines . The room that does the show run was large it was very comfortable every seat was very positioned so that you could see everything and hear everything is very pleasant experience. Only problem is they didn’t have enough people in there to get you drinks there was like two people in the whole room so you waited forever to get drinks otherwise you have to go get them yourself they need many more people in there if they want to you know so drinks I had a package so it was sort of a pain because I had to go get it myself. The only thing I had a problem with was when you get on the ship they try to sell you all the spa treatments and all this crap you really don’t want in that cost way more than it’s worth in my opinion they take you on a tour which I didn’t want to take . I have been on four different ships and have cruised four different times the ship was nice people and staff were nice the food was subpar especially for the price we paid . Don’t think I take another princess cruise we had problems with our shore excursions half of them well actually three of them out of the four were canceled . You need to be extremely specific on sure excursions times dates ask as many questions as you possibly can whether it’s better to go in the morning the afternoon because we booked morning trips and they were all canceled due to the fact that they were fogged in early in the morning there was also a train that was canceled but that’s because of a rockslide .
