With the refurbishment, they gave new life to the cabins and replaced the awful shower curtain with a glass door which makes it more comfortable. They've also included lighting under the vanity for when the lights are off in the bathroom which is a nice touch. The decor of the cabin is more relaxed, straying away from the traditional wood panelling into more muted colour tones. They've changed out the vanity in the stateroom, making it slightly smaller, without really sacrificing any storage. They've also included more electrical outlets and have added USB ports in the walls, which is a nice touch. There is also an electrical outlet in one of the lamps which is nice, especially for those with sleep apnea machines, no more need for cumbersome extensions! This cabin is by the forward elevators on deck three. It is very quiet and comfortable. Read Less

This is one of the ocean view cabins that were carved out of the conference center on the starboard side. It was in a great location and extremely quiet. Though it was an adjoining cabin, we heard nothing from the neighboring one. These cabins have a larger window than most OVs on the M-class ships but, at least on the Summit, they have a fatal flaw for some people. The toilet is several inches higher than even handicapped-toilet height, so anyone shorter than 5 foot 4 inches will have their feet dangling when using it. When I mentioned this issue to our cabin attendant, Pamela, she said she’d heard that from other petite women who’d stayed in these rooms. She then managed to locate a stepping stool for me, similar to the kind made for pre-schoolers so they can reach sink faucets. Pamela was a gem of an attendant. Much as I liked the cabin and its location, I would never choose one of these rooms again, unless X lowers the fixture height during the dry dock. Read Less

Can't beat this wonderful extra large window. Too cool to use a balcony on this trip so glad we chose this Oceanview category.

Adequate size with enough storage space for the two of us. Not enough electric plugs plus none in the bathroom where we normally charge our electric toothbrush and electric razor.

The cabin was comfortable. We had an ocean view room on deck 3 near guest relations. We liked the location of the cabin.. Adequate storage space. Small love seat and one chair. We prefer the larger sofa. The room steward was excellent. We asked for ice and a water pitcher. We had ice twice each day and a water picture each day. The cabin love seat had some worn areas. Otherwise the cabin was fine. Read Less
