We had an Aqua Class cabin our last cruise, and loved it so much that we decided to upgrade to a suite on this cruise. That turned out to be a great decision. We booked a sky suite on this cruise, but not just any sky suite. We booked one of the larger sky suites, a cabin on the starboard side at the stern, which was about as large as a hotel room. We absolutely loved the cabin! First of all, it was very private. Our suite was part of two suites that can be joined for family and/or friends if need be. As such the suite had a vestibule before entering either one of the cabins. This meant that our suite was very private and quiet. There is some window washing equipment that was “parked” off of the left side of the veranda. One of the questions I had before boarding the ship was whether the equipment blocked the view from the porthole. It did not. And there was only one or two times it got in my way if I wanted to take a picture of something on the starboard side of the ship looking forward, but for the size of the room it was an easy trade off. Elevators on the Solstice are located amidship, so it was a bit of a walk to the elevators. I didn’t mind it, but someone with mobility problems might want to consider something a little closer to the elevators. The suite had more than enough storage space. Years ago, I purchased an over-the-door shoe organizer and a hanging toiletry kit for additional storage space in the bathroom. I didn’t need either of those things. In fact, they just took up space in my suitcase. Next time I will leave them at home. One of the amenities in suite-class cabins is a custom-designed tote bag, which was very well designed and nice to have. The tote bag is folded into a small pouch, that, when opened, can be snapped into the inside of the tote bag for small items such as key cards, change, watch, etc. I asked for an additional one, which was no problem. (For more of what is included in suite-class cabins, go to . One of the suggestions I picked up from other cruisers on Cruise Critic was to take some magnets for the walls. I had magnetic clips for the daily program, magnetic hooks for hats, and magnets for such things as invitations (e.g., Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle). I also took a small, magnetic white board, which was very helpful for leaving messages for one another, our steward (Michael, who was stellar, by the way) and our butler. Read Less

We've cruised most of celebrity's ships including solstice. This should be a prime location, aft corner with extra large balcony. The problem is constant noise of scraping/scooting wooden chairs from the outside dining area above along with rolling carts. We've always wondered what the ship designers were thinking when they placed S1 suites under this area. A quick trip to home depot or lowes for nail on felt chair leg bases would li d cit the noise by 90%. Unfortunately, no amount of asking kindly in Michael's club has resolved the issue. We know to check room reviews and have stayed in this area on other celebrity ships without much issue. We definitely would have been much better off with a much...much less expensive balcony room situated on a lower floor. If you value sleep, or even a bit of quite time in your cabin, please skip this room. Read Less

Chips of paint on our balcony. Got a notice everyday that they would be in to fix it, never came. We love the aft. Carpet needs to be replaced. Room was always clean. Attendant was good.

The room looks good with the exception of the tired looking sofa bed. I loved the port hole window, it really made the room light and beautiful. Storage was good. The balcony is large but covered only 1-2 feet from the slider so open to all the decks above. The cabin was on top of the Tuscan restaurant and that floor extended out 5-6 feet so the view was a bit obstructed. I would not recommend this room however because when the floors above wash the balconys the dirty water literally cascades down in a waterfall onto this cabins balcony. Even when you are on it. After many complaints and promises of fixing the problem it continued to happen to the day we disembarked. Also there is a door in the hallway that separates this cabin and the one next to it and if you are not in one of these two rooms you cannot access them. How is one to have anyone visit? and how safe is this? Read Less

We enjoyed the views from the back corner balcony suite, 7356, and luckily never ran into the posts that it has next to the bed. The room was large and although we did need additional hangers there was plenty of storage space for everything we had brought. Our cabin steward was excellent and kept the room immaculate. Read Less

Fantastic cabin, the only issue being the cleaning equipment on the side of the balcony, which obscures your side views.
