Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah (obstructed view) (2D) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: February 2019
The cabin was nice, but above the Bleu Galley, so was noisy late at night. It had a nice balcony.

The cabin was the best we've had. This was actually our first balcony/veranda stateroom. It had an obstructed view. The top of the lifeboats were up to the top of our balcony rail. It wasn't really a problem. We could still look out and see the water. We just couldn't look straight down to see the water. I would certainly not complain if we had this room again. The veranda was still nice even with the obstruction, and less expensive :-) Read Less

Nice but dates cabin. Space ok also in the bathroom. Many places to store things. The obstructed view was no problem. I would book the same in a heart beat. It was placed relatively close to stairs and elevators. No noise from elevators ... Read More

30th Anniversary Trip : Cabin 6181

We like the layout and location of our cabin. We had plenty of room to move around, and the bathroom was one of the largest we've had on a cruise! We spent a lot of time on the verandah. The top of the life boats obstructed our view of the water when we looked down from the verandah but it wasn't too bad. We were worried that our cabin was located above the smoking section on Deck 5, but it was located midships a ways down from the smoking section. Our cabin attendant, Maricris, was very friendly and always kept our cabin neat. She gave us fresh towels twice a day even though we hung our towels up and were willing to use them again. Read Less

This cabin didn't really have an obstructed view. The life boats are right below, but not impeding your view of the islands or the beautiful water.

I have a severe allergy to mold. We were in room 8308 and on the second night I woke up having great difficulty breathing. This seemed to only happen in the room so I strongly suspect there was mold in the carpet. The room appeared very clean and Michael was an awesome room attendant. I didn't mention the problem to him b/c when we booked we were told it was the last room available and I didn't believe we could be moved anywhere. I am frankly surprised that cruise ships have carpet in the rooms. It would seem logical with the seas and humidity, this could easily be a breeding ground for mold Read Less
