Aqua Class (A1) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: February 2018
A quieter area on 11th deck, no overhang so no shade when in hot ports. This to consider which side of the ship you want sun am or pm.

We had an Aqua class cabin on deck 11 (1102). We chose this because there is no large overhang above and we got plenty of sun. Bathroom is a bit small but the shower has glass doors and a great multi jet water dispenser. It was clean and kept that way by our Room Attendant Jun Jun.We got him to empty the mini bar the first day then used it to keep our own stuff in ( we have to say that our friends on Deck 9 did not have such a clean cabin and had to chase up the cleaning staff and management). I believe the deck 11 cabins are newer than the others and put in when the ship was solsticised. Read Less

We had an Aqua Class stateroom and were disappointed with the condition (worn, tired, showing it's age). More concerning was that it was filthy, I spent an hour cleaning it so that I felt comfortable unpacking. For example, hair in the bathroom, dirty mirror, dirty shelves in the bathroom (spilled cream left on the shelf), couch was filthy. My husband removed the cushion from the couch, as it was stained and under the cushion it was FILTHY - and there was American change left from who knows how many cruises ago? It was obvious it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Cupboards had killer dust bunnies. The room itself was nothing special; I’ve had nicer Verandah class rooms on other ships. To Celebrity’s credit, they did seem to take our complaint seriously and had the head of housekeeping come to our room to apologize. Read Less

Tatty, worn, awful service; our tea nd coffee would arrive 3/5 times but not always with tea or coffee or even water - unbelievable. Mattress was old and the fittings were very dated - circa 1990

Clean, didn't have a full overhang for the balcony so made it more difficult when it rained. I loved the larger shower and the lack of attacking shower curtains. We forgot to get our welcome aboard wine or champagne. Felt the daily afternoon canapes were a waste and often did not know what they were. Should do cookies or chocolates instead or more typical canapes. The daily tea was OK but usually just watered down tea. Andi was great, professional, friendly and funny. Read Less

This Aqua Class cabin was an add-on to deck 11 during a dry dock some years ago. Not much different than any M Class Aqua addition. Room was quite comfortable and quiet. Some things to note: 1) The veranda is slightly larger, as it has a "bump out" 2) There is no overhang over the veranda which is great for taking pictures, but does not help with the rain in Alaska 3) Because the cabins are an add on, you can only access them through the aft elevator 4) That elevator take your directly to Blu 5) The buffet and bar are one flight of stairs down and easy to access Read Less
