We are repeat Celebrity Aqua Class cruisers and like and appreciate the loyalty benefits. However, we noticed a reduction of staff and services everywhere especially at Blu restaurant, Main Cafe, Aqua Class cabin cleaning, internet service and assistance, guest services, excursion desk, etc. Evident that cabin attendants and restaurant waiters DID NOT have assistants to help them. Also no drink pool service staff. We felt that all the personnel were overworked, tired and could not possibly do the work of 2-3 people. General Cafe skimped on better food options and higher end fruits, vegetables and main courses. Quality and gourmet choices suffered Makes $$$ cruising less attractive by cutting personnel services!!!! Fredy, our cabin attendant was very attentive and very hard worker - eager to please, and at BLU, we really appreciated all the hard work and efforts by Tanya and Sarah, Billy, Anastasia, Armando, and at the Captain's Club events, and cocktail hour, we especially were impressed with senior staff manager, Errol, from Jamaica, although the appetizers for each event were sub-par and repetitive and everyone agreed that it tasted like leftover foods put together on a mini-skewer. Barbara, from Hungary was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and helpful in the Future Travel Destinations. The shops were a disappointment - need more boutique options that are well priced, unique and fun. Internet: like 3rd world country intermittent bad service. Staff help was spotty at best. We paid $$$$$$ for poor service throughout ourv15 day cruise. TV was exceptionally poor. No way of telling when free movies, ship lectures or programs were being shown. No TV guide functions. Need to be updated as well. Read Less

Loud type of music spoiled the atmosphere for us. It seemed just noise. Most of the crew was pleasant but some were just there. Specialty restaurant service was better than the food. The $18 above the regular added price for dry aged prime in Toscana was very tough as opposed to the very tender prime rib in the regular restaurant. Our waiter in the Trellis restaurant was the best and so we requested him thereafter. Didn't care for some of the shows but Broadway Show was excellent. Infinity had the best breakfast selections of many other cruise ships. The ports were good but we did our own tours. We mostly went to Trivia. The lectures which interested us were only given the sane time as Trivia. My husband tried to find a repeat of the lectures about the Panama Canal on TV but never found them. We were also surprised not to have gotten a final statement the last day but had to go to Guest Relations to get one. When we looked for one on the TV the last day, the account had been removed. Trip through the Panama Canal to cross off bucket list item. Embarkation ran a little long but we had received an email from Celebrity warning of this due to just coming from South America so it was not unexpected. Upon boarding they were handing out free glasses of champagne to help smooth over the long boarding process and the fact that the rooms weren't quite ready yet. The instructions for the in room safe, cabin 2047, says to use a 6 digit code but it wouldn't accept a 6 digit code only a 4 digit. My mom's cabin next door took a 6 digit code. According to the stateroom attendant some safes take 4 digit and others 6. It would be nice if they were consistent. Our stateroom bathroom had a couple of cracked tiles and the mirror has a couple of places on the edge where the mirrored coating was coming off but overall the room was good. The real issue was the ice/water machines in the Oceanview cafeteria seemed to have issues. Some would have ice and no water while others would have water and no ice. Even first thing in the morning at breakfast. Not a terrible thing just a little annoying. There was a lot of fish served in the MDR and the dessert choices were a little lacking, usually 2 new items in addition to the normal every night choices such as apple pie, ice cream etc. The service from both cabin attendant and wait staff in the MDR were excellent. The entertainment in the evening was very good. There was one or two nights that the entertainment wasn't my cup of tea but it still was very good. There was a wide variety of activities going on almost constantly throughout the day if you were interested. We had 6 stops along the way, Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, PV Mexico and Cabo San Lucas Mexico. I only wish our time at both Mexico stops was longer. Read Less

Our cruise was Miami to San Diego though the Panama Canal. Embarkation in Miami was delayed because of illness on board and extra sanitation and meant that everyone had to get in a series of long lines waiting to board. The highlight was going through the canal and we had good weather and several ships going the opposite direction to watch and learn from. The onboard lectures were a big help. The Infinity is in good repair, but looking a little old fashioned and tired We were in Aqua and ate in Blu for dinner and service and. food were excellent. The buffet was a different story. It is totally disorganized and people are milling around trying to find things and then good luck finding a table. Everyone was friendly, smiling and helpful. Room on 9th floor was good. We liked the overhang as it kept the room shaded. The shows were good and most seemed OK for the audience. Read Less

We chose this trip as part of an Enrichment Journey combined with an after cruise land package to Machu Picchu. As for the cruise portion of the trip. I read several reviews of the ship experience before I sat down to write this on. I agree with most that the Infinity is an older ship. I do not agree at all that it is shabby and ill kept. Our suite, 9096, was spacious, clean, and meticulously attended to by Harold, our Butler, and Michael, our cabin steward. We would definitely ask for those two again. Sure, it could have used some updated furniture, but that is knit picking. The first night we had a vanity light out. It was fixed by the electrician in 15 minutes. Our only complaint about the cabin what the moving of deck chairs on the activities deck above. I would recommend some kind of sound deadening on refitting. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived about 1pm and walked right on the ship. Debarkation was fine. No problem with bags and connections. There was some criticism of Celebrity staff cut backs. I did not experience that in any part of the cruise. The food, overall, was excellent. We did not eat at all at Trellis, opting for Blue, Qsine, tuscan Grill, and Luminae. The food and service at all locations were excellent, especially the meals we had at Qsine and Tuscan Grill. The food choices at Luminae were somewhat limited. The food at Oceanview was overall very good. Bar service from Geonina was terrific. Her smiling face and great demeanor were a welcome every afternoon. One of the real highlights of the cruise was the service and graciousness offered by the staff at Michael's club headed by Eric, the manager. Eric should immediately be recommended for promotion. In all of our 25 cruises, he is the best customer service person we have ever encountered. Another highlight was having Mickey Live and his beautiful and charming wife and daughter on the ship. Mickey gave us unique perspectives on each and every magnificent port of call, plus entertaining and informative updates on the Glaciers and travel route. We took all ships tours this time and weren't disappointed by any of them. Particularly out standing were tours of Montevideo, Port Madryn and the incredible trekking at Puerto Monte. These were very strenuous, but rewarded our efforts with sights and sounds that we would have never otherwise experienced. Congratulations the Celebrity for upgrading their tours. They are expensive, but this is not a cruise to try to save a few dollars. There is too much to see and do and experience. Now for a few recommended changes 1. The buffet tables are too deep, causing guests to have to lean over too far to get some selections. This causes potential health issues. 2. The premium drink package needs to include more choices, particularly with white wines. This is especially true at the service bars. 3. The Issue with getiing back on the ship at Puerto Montte needs to be addressed. This is one place Eric really shined by coming to the aid of his guests. Great effort Eric! 4. The above mentioned noise on the activities deck. All other aspects of the ship such as the Gym, shows, and Bar singers were very good, but that is not why we came. If that is what you value most, this cruise is probably not for you. As you can see from this review, I valued the new friends we made, the universally excellent service from the staff, and the sights we saw that we may never see again above all else. Well done! We wanted to go to go to the Rio Carnival, which this cruise was focussed around, and also the Iguazu Falls which we were able to add on as an extra at the end of the cruise. These two locations did not disappoint. We should point out however that the Ships Excursion to the Carnival (particularly for a box seat) is extremely expensive and so we booked wth the Carnival organisers directly over the internet, collecting the tickets on arrival in Rio, all of which proved quite easy to do and saved a significant sum of money. We were also surprised by how nice Buenos Aries was, to us it had a very European feel. The two island excursions, Ilhabela and Buzios were only OK and served just to "pad out" the cruise. Montevideo and Punta del Este were good excursions. The tour excursion in Rio was very good however, covering all the main spots such as Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf etc. and the guide here was very informative. Dining in the main restaurant was excellent and service there was very good. The Sommelier looked after us very well and the quality of the wine was very good. The ship lacked some sun deck areas with shade and we were on occasions concerned at the soot coming from the funnel when we were in the cinema area at the aft of the ship. Read Less

The venue .... Antarctica..... lured us to this cruise and it was everything we imagined and more. Embarcation was a near disaster as we waited in Buenos Aires port with hundreds in an un-airconditioned, chaotic facilty, where the computer system failed. No Celebrity staff were present to let us know what was happening. Disembarcation was normal. The ship was well-done with a fair amount of wood, modern sculpture, but lacked the "wow". The 3rd to 4th floor atrium was about it. The cabin was average size with enough storage space.. Apart from the excellent service (Cabin staff and restaurant management and staff were super efficient, polite and anxious to please),marketing was at every turn. Buy this upgrade that. All restaurants incurred a minimum of $35-65 per person plus the 18% tax...plus the corkage on a bottle of wine of $30. It seemed all nickle-and-dime : bottled water (had to be purchased for 2, if you were two) came to $32/day; drink package at $65 pp did not included any drinks over $7..such as martinis for $15 extra. he gym charged extra for yoga and pilates classes, amongst others. Many of the dinners in the Trellis dining Room were fine, but the same old green beans and smashed potatoes appeared nightly...not too creative. We found the desserts "OK", but usually ended us with our safety - ice cream. The Baked Alaska was our biggest disappointment, having had it on our last cruise on a different line. Special events such as sail-aways, did not offer a glass of champagne or a drink. There was no Captain´s dinner..unless you were a member of the special class...nor was there a Captains/plus crew welcoming party, as we had experienced on other lines. The Entertainment Director, Alejandro (the great), from Buenos Aires, saved the day. There were some good shows, not all. And the ports were beautifully explained by a pro, "Ranger John", who would meet anyone in private/on deck and explain almost every animal species. Ports were good - Antarctica was excellent. Shore excursions were pricey - more than 2X-3X what the locals were charging for the same tours. The Ushuaia excursion was offered at about $200/ pp, but we found a similar one, with a local taxi driver for $80 per couple, for 4 full hours. Very few children on this (or any long 14 day cruise). Would probably not return to this line or ship. Read Less

Overall this was a satisfactory experience. The ship is tired and looks it's age in most areas. The crew are wonderful, friendly and helpful The comfort levels are acceptable but the threat of Norovirus hung over us for most of the cruise. I believe that the previous cruise had been affected and the cleaning ongoing for most of our voyage was spectacular and apparently effective This was our 13th cruise and our 3rd with Celebrity. Notwithstanding the involvement with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity offers a middle of the road experience it is not a market leader nor is it a high flier. It is a reliable offering and we have not been disappointed The ports of call on this cruise are a mixed bunch with examples of wonderful and horrid both apparent But this is not a wealthy urban part of the world and once away from the major cities life is fairly simple Read Less

First time on Celebrity. We were excited to cruise Celebrity, as friends had recommended the line. Unfortunately we had no idea that the ship for this cruise would be an old ship that was built as plain as it could be. No glory what so ever. What we didn’t like is: 1. Price paid for the cruise was very high for what we received. 2. Cabins were very small. 3. Options included as part of the cabin package did not mean anything to Celebrity as they had excuses not to comply with some of them, Eg. Priority boarding, reliable internet, use of public rooms occupied by a large private group on a daily basis. 4. Celebrity personnel in-charge were not very accommodating with the passengers and preferred to be at a distance rather than being part of the cruise. Eg. if a passenger was in need of help they would try to get you to go to someone else and the problem would not be solved. 5. Purchased a special dinning package to find that the food and service at the main restaurant Trellis was superior to the Tuscan restaurant. What we liked the best: 1. Room up keep service 2. Dining and bar service 3. Food at the Trellis and Blue. Overall I would have to read many reviews before I would consider going on another Celebrity cruise. Read Less

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 14-day cruise from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso. Our Sky Suite entitled us to eat in Luminae which we did every morning and all but one evening. In my opinion, the restaurant is almost enough reason to pay for an upgrade to a suite! The food as well as the service wass excellent and the dinner menu changes daily--unlike the specialty restaurants.. The only negative regarding the cruise itself was the boarding process. Actually, there was no process--only disorganized chaos! Worse than encountered on previous cruises including our Celebrit cruises. Our cabin was spacious and both John, the butler, & the bus boy were at our beck and call. We thought the nightly shows were as good as any we've seen. Our ritual immediately became early show followed by dinner at Luminae. With regard to the Celebrity shore excursions we took, I thought they were only fair. There were too many people in the groups, the guides for the three we took had relatively heavy accents that were difficult to understand for Americans, and were somewhat overpriced. We fared better by arranging our own tours--smaller groups, easier to understand guides, and lesser costs--significantly in 2 of the three excursions I arranged--one of which was through the same local provider. To imagine such a feat being accomplished over 100 years ago is amazing. The activity staff was terrific...went out of their way to keep us busy! We participated in many shipboard activities and this added to our fun experience. We were fortunate to have almost perfect weather, with rain at night and sun during the day. The entertainment was terrific, we went to a show every night, and enjoyed them all. The ports we visited were all interesting....and we went on excursions at each port and enjoyed them all. We met lovely people on board, were seated at a great table and enjoyed our dining experience. I would highly recommend this itinerary to others & have already done so. After several cruises with Celebrity including some in Aqua class on Solstice class ships and the Millennium class Constellation the back to back cruises of 14 days in Aqua on the Infinity were only average and did not rise to the level of our other trips. Dining- Blu was only average for food quality and our service time was very long until we found a really good waiter (Armando). Dining room seemed undersized for the # of cabins and had to wait much more often than Solstice ships. Ate at Qsine twice, once each for lunch and dinner, and it was outstanding. The Oceanview Cafe buffet was quite limited and offered the same choices virtually every day. Some of the serving pans were very hard to reach and the staff seemed in no rush to keep them fresh. The poached egg station was good with the eggs cooked to order well. Cabin 9106- All Aqua 2 cabins are under the Lido deck so noise can be a problem. This particular cabin was under a prep area so there was a lot of after hours noise. Location was good. Cabin had good storage and size was adequate. Could have used a shower head with a stronger stream. Entertainment- Theater acts were all good with a couple of very good production shows. Lounge music was not to our liking with no string groups as other Celebrity ships and the bands were more of the " party" variety than dance bands. Piano and guitar vocalists were poor to average. Almost no afternoon musical entertainment except on pool deck. Spa- Persian Garden was a disappointment compared to Solstice class. It was in the middle of the ship, small and dark. No lounges, only a kind of "sofa" which we both found uncomfortable. The Thessalotherapy pool in the solarium was very relaxing (it is open to all guests). Bars- Bar service was mostly slow usually from under staffing as was the Cafe al Bacio. Table service was slow to nonexistent. On the whole an adequate experience, but would not rush to sail the Infinity again soon and certainly not pay extra for Aqua class. One thing I have noticed on all Celebrity ships in the past is that the officers were very visible throughout the cruise and interacted a lot with the guests about their experience. I saw very little or none of that aboard the Infinity. As a whole the crew was polite, but not particularly friendly. Training seemed to be lacking and communication was sometimes a problem. We liked the itinerary and staying overnight in Aruba. 3rd time on Celebrity and enjoyed all. This one really the best we've been on. Overall food was excellent, service probably the best we've had, and what helps was the fact everyone else was happy. When you have happy cruisers, everyone has a better time. The Halloween party was a hoot! Lots of costumes, great party, excellent cruise director. Damien Our wait staff exceeded our expectations. Thanks to McKoy, Heston and Komang. Saara the hostess was very accommodating, trying to get us set with the same servers every night. Did I say the food was the best we've had?? Yes, all meals in the dining room were first rate. The entertainment was over the top. The ships own show was great, got a standing ovation. They did a 70's 80's rock and roll show, excellent singing and dancing routines. The comedy magician did a great job, funny, entertaining, wish he could have preformed more nights. Wife loved the coffee shop, and kind of coffee, expresso, etc. Pool area had really no problem getting a deck chair. Embarkation was a breeze, walked right on. Want to plan next year out of San Juan. Only flaw was disembarkation, to walk off. There were just too many people wanting to walk off. Read Less

Very nice cruise, We are seniors and have done about 48 cruises on various lines. We have done about 10 coastal cruises along the Pacific coast and have previously visited most of the ports on this cruise. Our primary reason for taking this cruise was the entertainment, food, and a close to home get a way. We live about 120 miles north of San Francisco. We drove down to the bay area and stayed the night previous to our flight at the El Rancho Hotel in Millbrae. We have done this several times. When a cruise starts in San Francisco, we have the hotel shuttle take us to SFO where we get the cruise ship bus to the port in SF. On this trip, we had had a 6 AM flight to Vancouver. We were up to catch the shuttle at 4 AM. The flight was smooth and our customs check in Vancouver was also. They have a new system at the airport that allows Americans to pass through customs with a minimum of time lost. It is a BIG improvement over our last time at this airport. You just slap you passport on a screen at one of the machines, get a receipt and you are on your way. If you have any problems, there is a helper there to answer any questions. Otherwise, you wait in VERY LONG lines to get up to talk with an inspector. We were through and out the door in about 5 minutes. We expected a traffic jam at the port, because members of the British Royal Family were visiting the port area about the time we were supposed to arrive. We were pleasantly surprised when the bus sailed right through and we were dropped off at Canada Place. We did have to wait for about a half hour before boarding, but we were on the ship before noon. The cabins were not ready until 1 o’clock, so we had lunch at the lido restaurant and waited on deck until then. Cabin We had a balcony cabin located mid ship. It was a typical cabin with vanity, small couches, and king size bed. On each side of the bed was a two-drawer night strand. The light in my reading lamp was not adequate, but the one on my wife’s side was better. The balcony was small, but had two chairs and a small table that were adequate. The bath had two shelves for storage and the typically large Celebrity stall shower. Our only objection was that the life boats were directly below the balcony and blocked the view of the water below. Our cabin steward took very good care of the room. Perks We booked this cruise with a travel agent because of an email ad we received from them. It was a president’s cruise attended by the president of the travel agency and several of her employees and had some extra perks included. They turned out to be not worth the cost. Some, like the slot contest, were actually an added cost. At first it looked like a good deal, but we later found otherwise. All the cruise lines recently started to provide bonuses like drink packages and pre-paid tips as an inducement to book with them, but in reality they just added the cost of these items to the regular booking price. If you wait until a month or so before the cruise, you will probably be able to get a much better price and paying for the extras yourself will be cheaper than taking the so-called bonuses. We found that the drink package was the biggest loser as we seldom have more than one or two drinks each day. We also used the package for purchase of water, the cost of which has really gotten out of hand. However, the water and liquor in the cabin could not be charged against the package as it did not qualify. We had to buy the large water bottles at a bar and take them back to our cabin. This actually turned out for the best as the Evian water in the cabin tasted terrible. The bars had a different brand that was much better. Food Celebrity has always been known for serving good quality beef. That is still true, by the best quality cuts are not served as often as before and more stews and similar types of beef are now more prevalent in the main dining room. The food served in the lido restaurant has always been somewhat tasteless or over spiced and that has not changed. On this trip, there seemed to be a larger percentage of Asian food available and less American. The soups in this restaurant were terrible. The redeeming item was the breads. They were always good at all the restaurants. The service in both restaurants was always excellent. We did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants. Shows Celebrity shows have never been as good as Royal Caribbean shows. That seems strange as both lines are owned by the same company. Those on this cruise were just OK with very memorable. Summary, Overall, it was a good cruise with great weather and smooth seas most of the way. We had no rain at any stops and very little wind. The temperature everywhere was very comfortable. The high point of the cruise was being able to stand on the top deck of the ship in San Francisco and watch the Blue Angels put on their show during Fleet Week. We have seen them perform several time, but never had seats like this before. It was spectacular. Read Less

We have been cruising for over 35 years. This past cruise with Celebrity on the Infinity put a damper on cruising with Celebrity. We have cruised on both the Infinity and Millenium before and was the main reason we chose the Infinity. We chose the coastal cruise because we live in Vancouver and because we loved the Infinity. We loved the excellent dining room service, but the food was lacking, of the 6 meals we had, 3 I would consider acceptable, the other 3 were very good. Qsine lived up to its reputation and was excellent . The shows were okay, nothing worth writing home about. The Martini bar was the central point of three deck because of its location in the atrium, the sound of cackling drunks was not pleasant when you are trying to have a quiet after dinner drink or cappuccino. There was a lack of piano bars that were open at the right times. Celebrity is definitely cutting corners, it is obvious and passengers we talked to all agree, many said it is time to change, many said never Celebrity again, it is sad that this is happening. We sail on Princess, Azamara, and Holland America. Azamara we love for Europe, Princess and H.A. for local, Alaska, Coastal, and Mexico. Celebrity is now off our list. Oh, do not get a cabin with adjoining door, you can hear every sound your neighbour makes, fortunate for us they were close friends and we could laugh about it. Read Less

Tari in particular always had a smile and went out of her way to keep us happy. The buffets were excellent. The cabin size was a tad small for 3 adults but it seemed to work when the beds were kindly rearranged. We stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel before the cruise and it certainly met our expectations. Nicely located in the core of Vancouver, it gave us the opportunity to walk around. As this was a gift from our daughter and family for a special birthday we really had no input into the choice of cruise line, however we are so glad the travel agent helped her choose Celebrity Infinity. Although we are really well travelled throughout the world this is our first cruise since 1992 and were a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews. WOW!! I think we must have been on a different cruise on a different ship as we could not say enough wonderful things about the whole experience. From the pick up at Vancouver International Airport at the start of our trip to the drop off at the same location one week later everything was so well organized, beyond our expectations. Our stateroom on the sixth deck with a balcony was very clean, beds were awesome and the toilet/bathroom was immaculate. Our stateroom attendant Estrella was so attentive and dealt with a few light issues immediately. She was so friendly and always had a cheery "Good Morning" for us. If didn't matter where we went on the ship the crew were all the same, smiling faces, very helpful and always doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. It was such a pleasure to see people who really looked like they were enjoying making our Alaskan cruise so special. The food anywhere on the ship was excellent. We chose to eat at The Trellis at dinner time and thanks to Maitre D Noriego we had a wonderful table at the back of the dining room overlooking the ship's wake. The meals were excellent and the presentation was absolutely perfect. Thank you to Jacob, Vitellis and Tomo our waiters for making each dinner special. We really enjoyed the daily talks given by Mickey Live and the nightly entertainment did not disappoint us. Other than the comedy act all were of high professional standard. We also liked the Music Trivia 60's which was fun. I feel I have to say at least one bad thing about the trip and it is "Why did they put such big mirrors in the stateroom so we can see how we are putting on weight after eating all the great food" !!!!! We are so impressed with this trip it will definitely not be our last one on the Infinity as a few of our bucket list places are services by this ship. Thank you once again to everyone who made this Alaskan trip so memorable!!! Read Less

Alaska is one of those must do places, as is Canada and the Rockies. This cruise allowed me to see Alaska, Whales, The Hubbard Glacier and ticked all the boxes. I feel I must give a special mention to our dining room staff. Waiters Carla, Aleena and Somelier Maran were superb. Nothing was too much trouble and Carla was able to competently advise us on the dishes being served and gave reasons for her recommended dish of the day. Though we did not always follow her advice we were made to feel by the team that our custom was appreciated. It is significant that all the other tables in the area served by this waiting team, specifically requested the same table each night which is an attestation to the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. Our cabin was kept clean and tidy and was made up speedily each day and evening. The food was superb and the dishes well presented. I discovered very quickly that it is essential to obtain a drinks package, which, on the face of it may appear expensive but having it and knowing what you have paid takes the pressure off the financial aspects of the cruise, including the extra tax that was added to the listed price of every item or service on sale on the ship. Shore excursions were too expensive, so I did not participate in many of these though that non-participation did in no way reduce the enjoyment of shore visits. I could not fault the entertainmen, most of the shows were fabulous. To summarise, I would sail with Celebrity Cruises again and would recommend your company to friends and family.. Read Less

We (2 senior couples) travel frequently together but none of us have cruised previously. Overall, I have rated our experience as 5 star given our experiences and expectations. Both embarking and disembarking went extremely smoothly. We were especially impressed with the process of disembarking in Vancouver as we opted to take our luggage rather than having it delivered from the ship. We were among the small group that chose this option and we were off the ship, through Canadian customs , into a taxi and at our hotel within 20 minutes. Both couples had veranda cabins and we found them well outfitted, clean, spacious and having great views. We opted for the flexible dining package and had no problem in making reservations for diner daily. We avoided the buffet restaurant when possible, finding it hectic and somewhat of a feeding frenzy with people butting into lines etc. All meals were excellent with lots of options for all tastes . It was very convenient to have selected the Classic Beverage package when we booked our cruise. I would rate the entertainment as being on par with a typical Las Vegas show. We attended every show and were not disappointed. Overall, service was excellent. The weather cooperated for most of the cruise and we found the scenery to be breathtaking. I would recommend the Alaska Cruise to anyone that appreciates such scenery. We didn't take any of the ship organized shore excursions but opted to tour each of the ports ourselves. Read Less

What a fabulous week we had on Celebrity Infinity to Alaska. We were lucky to have good weather but life aboard was exceptional. We specially enjoyed the two experts MickyLive and Derk's talks about the geology and wild life in Alaska. We enjoyed Aqua Class cabin and facilities and would recommend it to anyone pondering whether to spend the extra. We had a good selection of wines and drinks and the entertainment was first class. We enjoyed ourselves so much we booked another cruise before we left the ship for 2017. The crew on board were always very friendly and helpful and the dining staff were amazing. The beautiful scenery of Alaska was breathtaking and whale watching from our balcony was a great experience. The only thing I would say is the excursions from the ship are very expensive and we only bought one and was disappointed with it. There were plenty of excursions to be had on the dock side at reasonable prices and would recommend to pick up a day out from the docks. But that was the only negative comment I can think of. See you next year Celebrity. Read Less

This was our first cruise, i was a bit sceptic of this experience, as we have always done our own travel arrangements , this trip we could not complain about anything it was excellent. The staff, were first class, the entertainment was very good. also there was a well equipped gym at the front of the ship with beautiful views whilst you worked off all the wonderful food that served up each & everyday ,also The golf putting championship was well organised The food was 5 star, the variety was amazing, & also the service of the drink waiters. Our cabin was serviced by Dennis who I may say done a wonderful job keeping our cabin clean & tidy. Port & shore excursions , we did do whale watching at Juneau that was very well organised. At Ketchikan we got ripped off, doing a journey by tractor/golf buggy onto a beach to look at some pebbles, then to a local hall for a tribal dance by some teenagers who had no idea what the hell they were supposed to be doing ,which I may say it spoilt our day, But you learn from these experiences. Boarding & Disembarkation is done like a military operation it is quick & easy. Read Less
