We wanted a quick little get away, we love to cruise and have been for many years. We took a 7 day Celebrity cruise about six years ago and thought it was wonderful. We hoped this would be the same due to the companies reputation but could not be more disappointed. We took an Aqua Class Stateroom with balcony which was small and cramped especially the bathroom, whenever you took a shower the whole bath floor got wet! The ship was allegedly updated not long ago, don't know what they updated but they probably need to go back to the drawing board. The a/c barely kept our room comfortable, the TV didn't work most of the time, the water coming out of our of the faucet and shower was dark rust colored at times! We tried to get a glass of wine at one of the bars, the bartender moved toward us, told my wife to have a nice day and then left! What great service! With a Classic drink package and trip insurance this was a $1,200.00 two night cruise. Not cheap at all for a small cramped room, lousy service and rust colored water. We could have gone on a three night with another Cruise line for nearly 1/2 that price! Again we went with Celebrity for their reputation. We also were constantly being solicited to try one of the private, pay for what you eat on board restaurants. We didn't come on the cruise to be constantly solicited, we came to relax. The only saving grace on this cruise was having the Aqua Class private dining room. We did have a great ocean view, the food was great and our waiter Hendar was fantastic! If not for the private restaurant and great staff this would have been a total loss. For me the bottom line is save your money, go on a different cruise line or just stay home. You will be much happier, we wish we never went. Celebrity has lost our business. We will be on a competitor from now on. Read Less

I choose this sailing just for a quick getaway with my hubby. This was my second time on this ship and the first for my husband. We were very surprised with the new terminal in Ft. Lauderdale very very nice and modern. The lunch options were good you have your pizza station, grill station in the back for meats, pasta station, other options and then salad. We decided not to go to the main dining room for dinner since it was such a short cruise and we just wanted to relax and not have to worry about getting all dressed up by a certain time and be rushed. The dinner wasn't the best in the buffet. The options were very limited and on some things I was a little disappointed but not a big deal. I guess I was okay with salads chicken and pizza. Of course in the main dining you have better options. The cakes on display were absolutely beautiful in the buffet. Unfortunately those were on display only. They do have a no sugar added section for deserts and you have several options which were not bad. I was very disappointed with the coffee shop because the deserts were always complimentary regardless if you need to purchase a drink or not. I was on this ship in November and it was free and now it's not. The breakfast at the Trellis was really good. The breakfast in the buffet was the usual stuff and as always the omelet station was super packed. We were very pleased with our inside cabin. Normally it would a real tiny cabin where we would easily run out of space but this cabin was really big and we got a corner cabin so it was even bigger. We loved it. Housekeeping was great they always do a great job, however my pillows did have boot marks on them and I couldn't find the attendant so we had to wait for the next day to get that changed. Also there was a very horrible smell throughout the lower decks of the ship which is always tough to breath that in. We loved our time in the solarium it's just so relaxing in there and that pool was so great. Loved that not too many people went in at night. The comedian was great we got to see him twice and he was great, original and kept it real the whole time. Love the fact that the casino is smoke free verses other cruise lines. This ship is not for bigger kids or teens. The camp on board is really for babies. The only thing that teens and bigger kids can do is play basketball and go in the pool. The camp that they do have for the older kids is extremely tiny so the kids actually don't even want to bother going there. The arcade is a joke. There's about 4 games that are from the 70's. This ship does not cater to kids it definitely caters to a much older crowd. All in all it was a great experience. I look forward to going back on with Celebrity on the OTHER ships and won't go back on the Infinity unless it gets revamped like the Summit is. Read Less

We took the 4 day cruise from Fort Lauderdale to key West/Nassau. The people were very nice, the food was good and plentiful and the ship was clean. We were looking to chill out for a few days, so we didn't take any shore excursions or see any shows on the ship - we didn't even eat at any of the specialty restaurants. We had a balcony room on Deck 6 and it was nice. Our room steward,Irwin, was the best, very accommodating. The room was large enough for us and the balcony waas nice sized. There are plenty of bars to choose from - 4 at the pool area alone. The service was good and fast. We didn't buy the drink package, so our beer and mixed drinks were 7-$10 each. We don't drink enough to make the drink package worth while. The only thing worth mentioning is that the ship needs an update. It looks like it came out of the 80's - but it didn't affect anything - the service and accommodations were good. Read Less

The Infinity is a nice ship and the staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone. It is my understanding they are remodeling it within the next two years although I'm not sure it really needs any updating. From the buffet to the specialty restaurants, the service was constantly excellent. We had two staterooms, a suite for the first part then aqua class for the second. For suite guest, you get to eat in an awesome restaurant called Luminae. It is fantastic. I can't speak high enough of the food and service. For Aqua you get to eat in another specialty type restaurant called Blu. I now understand the debates on which one is better. I can honestly say both for an amazing experience and you really can't go wrong with either. The fast speed internet is a nice change from other cruise lines. It is so fast you can easily stream apps like Hulu, Netflix, etc.. The entertainment was really good and not cheesy like other other lines. I will say if you have the opportunity for the suite experience just one time in your life on Celebrity it is worth the money and is just such a nice treat. Our Butler Arnish was so great. Just know whatever stateroom you pick, you'll be happy on this ship. The coffee shop was so much better than the chains. We went there every day. Also great service. We already have another Celebrity cruise booked and will most likely be booking more after that. After being on several of the others it is worth paying a little more for the treatment you get on Celebrity. Read Less

We decided to take this cruise about 6 weeks prior to its sailing. We are a retired couple, living in Florida and it seemed like a good “break in routine” for this time of year. It was a 4 night cruise with stops in Key West and Nassau. This was our 53rd overall cruise and 12th with Celebrity – we have Elite status with Celebrity and started cruising with them in the mid 1980's on the Meridian. The Infinity is a Millennium class ship and the smallest Celebrity sails these days. We have sailed on her before as well as the Millennium and the Constellation. They are all very similar in layout and amenities. We drive to Port Everglades – about a 70 minute drive for us – we park at Park N Fly as it is very convenient to the port and they provide transportation to and from the terminal. Embarkation had already started when we arrived and was very easy and quick. I had checked in on line and that speeds up the process as well. We were on the ship about 12:30pm – cabins were not to be ready for about an hour so we went to Sushi on 5 and had lunch. The menu there is an ala carte menu and was delicious. By the time we were finished the announcement that cabins were ready had been done. Our cabin was an outside cabin on Deck 3 – 3099 – we were close the the Guest relations desk and the main lobby and the mid-ship elevators. This makes getting around the ship easier for us. It was a great location, quiet and the cabin was spacious enough for us with plenty of storage for a 4 night cruise. The bed was very comfortable and our cabin steward went out of his was to be sure we had the pillows we needed. Our luggage had not been delivered so we unpacked our carry on and went up on Deck 4 and outside for awhile. The Muster Drill was being held at 3:15pm – so we went to our muster station which was in Michaels Club – with Celebrity you don't have to bring your life-jackets and you don't have to line up on deck. The drill was concluded and by then our luggage had been delivered so we went down to unpack. The bathroom, while small, had a big shower and was quite adequate. We ended up at the Rendezvous Lounge for the sail away which took place around 5pm – there were 2 other ships in port and they left first. We had chosen Celebrity Select Dining which means one can eat at anytime from 5:45pm to 9:30pm in the Trellis dining room. I had made a reservation when we came on board for 8pm. We were seated right away at a table for two. Each morning I called for a reservation. We always ate between 8 and 8:30pm – the food was excellent as was the service. Since we are Elite with Celebrity, there is a morning continental breakfast served for us in the Tuscan Grill – very conveniently located for us on Deck 3. The menu contains pastry, smoked meats and salmon and cheeses as well as fruit and a variety of coffees, teas, fruit juices and Bloody Marys, Bellinis, Screwdrivers. We had breakfast thee most mornings and one morning we ate in the main dining room and then went to the Tuscan Grill for coffee and pastry. A very nice perk in our opinion. Another perk is a cocktail hour from 5-7pm either in the Constellation Lounge atop the ship or at any bar on board – one can have 3 drinks from a very nice Bar menu of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. On port days the dining room did not serve lunch so we ate at either the buffet, grill or spa cafe. We prefer not to go to the buffet during peak hours as my husband has some balance and walking issues and it is hard for him to navigate it. The food from all of these venues was very good with a lot of choice. On the one sea day we went to the main dining room for lunch but didn't find anything we particularly wanted to eat so went to the grill. It was nice having two port days and one sea day as on the port days most passengers were off the ship and one could easily find an outdoor place to sit – even on the sea day though we did not have a really hard time finding a place to sit and read and watch people outside. The weather was good – if a bit cloudy one day – and we spent a lot of time outside. Our favorite place was in the Spa pool area which is domed and has a wonderful pool and a Spa Cafe. The main pool area was great for us on port days but was “jumpin” on the sea day and we avoided it that day - I cannot speak to the entertainment on the ship as we had good intentions, but never made it – we don't gamble so the casino holds no interest for us. The officers and crew were very nice and visible during the cruise. There were a number of “meet and greet” times with the Captain and his officers. We also enjoyed the area around the Cafe al Bacio – great coffee and tea drinks, gelato, and the pastry is gratis – There are a number of alternative restaurants – Sushi on Five, Quisine and Le Petit Chef, and the Tuscan Grill – all of these have a cover charge or an ala carte charge. We don't go simply because, for us, there is too much food at one time. The menus did look inviting though and we heard good things about the food. There is also a special restaurant for Suite class guests called Luminae, and one for Aqua class guests called Blu. And, of course there is a grill on the pool deck, an ice cream bar in the buffet as well as pizza and pasta bars along with the usual buffet food. All in all, it was a great cruise for us – it seems that 4 or 5 night cruises are the best number of days now for us. Debarkation was very good – another Elite perk is a special waiting place (Tuscan Grill) to get off the ship with an abbreviated continental breakfast served. We were scheduled for 8:25 and actually got off at 8:15. It was quick and easy. Celebrity does very few announcements during a cruise and even on debarkation day. The Captain's Club hostess kept us informed of which numbers were getting off when – there was no immigration form to fill out for those of us who bought nothing. We were home by 10:30am and ready to pick up our dog who was VERY glad to see us - If you have any questions about this cruise, I have kept the Celebrity Today info. It had been a few years since we sailed on Celebrity and wanted to try it again. We loved all of our other cruises on this line. This cruise was no exception. Embarkation and debarkation were a breeze, even with a Coast Guard inspection the day of sailing. We realize that the ship is older, but she is well maintained. We loved the intimate atmosphere and how easy it was to get around. We were in Aqua class room 1113. The room was clean and our stateroom attendant was great! There was a slight musty smell in the bathroom, but I think it's just from age and didn't affect us at all. We really enjoyed eating in Blu. The food was just a step above amazing and the service was fabulous. Also, we enjoyed the use of the Persian Garden a couple of times during the cruise and there was never anyone in there. I highly recommend getting Aqua Class. It is well worth it. I enjoyed some of the live bands and artists that were on the ship. It was more of a hit or miss thing with that, but since many lines don't utilize live music anymore, I will not complain! We did not attend any shows and I don't know why. We just never got around to it, As far as the ports went, we love Key West and always enjoy our time there. In fact, it is my favorite port. We never leave this ship in the Bahamas because we have been there so many times and there is nothing for us there. This was our 4th time on a Millennium class ship and will be doing it again next year. It was a great getaway with no stress! Read Less

My DH and I have been on four cruises all on RCL, and although we weren't planning on going on a cruise this fall, we found a great, relatively last minute deal on a 4 night Celebrity Infinity Bahamas cruise that we couldn't pass up. Overall we had a wonderful time and are glad we tried Celebrity! Booking- We booked directly through the Celebrity website. Right after final payment due date the price for our room dropped by $350- a huge difference for such a short cruise! I called Celebrity and managed to negotiate an additional $300 OBC to account for this price change. Very happy with this! Embarkation- We left out of terminal 4 at Port Everglades. We arrived at the port around 10:30 and pretty much walked on. Very smooth process! We got our Seapass cards during the checkin instead of having them left at the room- I prefer getting them right away to be able to use them for drinks, etc. Ship/Cabin- The ship is the smallest we've been on BY FAR (next smallest was RCL Navigator OTS) and we loved it! It is beautiful and I didn't notice its age at all. Layout was great. Plenty of bar options we quick service. Never crowded. Cabin was smallish (we had the cheapest category balcony- sweet 16 balcony room 6030) but nicely decorated but it was a little dated- lots of mirrors! We enjoyed the large-ish shower (compared with the RCL pods, which we like too!). We didn't have any issues with water leakage although we did hear the sound of water running quite often- maybe we were near some pipes or utility sink area, I'm not sure. Dining- We ate at Qsine (Le Petit Chef), Tuscan Grille and Sushi on 5. All were good, Qsine was our favorite. We thought the food was comparable to RCL and were slightly disappointed as we had expected to be wowed in this area. We also ate at MDR once for dinner which was fine- also comparable to RCL and definitely a step below the specialty dining. Buffet was great for breakfast, my DH enjoyed having lox every morning and there was a surprising variety of selections for such a small ship in my opinion. Bars- Bar service was great with minimal waits even at the busiest times. We had the premium package and never paid for a drink except upgraded wine at dinner once. We also were never asked to sign a receipt which we thought was different because usually my DH likes to tip an extra buck or two this way. Also never saw anyone tip cash. We aren't complaining but this was very different from our RCL experiences! We liked the Martini Bar but I guess we weren't there often enough to see the crazy bartender tricks that I have seen videos of from others. Pool- Pools were good- we enjoyed the deep saltwater pool. The thelasatherapy pool in the solarium also looked interesting but I never got to try it. We didn't have a problem finding chairs ever, and we even saw little Celebrity signs left on some chairs notifying people that their items were taken to Guest Services because they were unattended- great to see Celebrity trying to cut down on chair hogs! Entertainment- We loved the Silent Disco! Enjoyed the Halloweern decorations and activities as we were on the ship for that night. They even had a really fun costume contest! The live music during the day was a bit subdued and we would have liked to have a more lively option either by the pool or somewhere inside. Overall this line definitely seems more subdued with entertainment compared to RCL, but at the same time the evenings were lively at the dance club and Martini Club and there were clearly people there ready to have a good time. We didn't see any evening shows except the comedian and we enjoyed him. Overall we had a great time on this ship! Read Less
