Wow, this was a fantastic journey, through the Panama Canal and down the Pacific Coast of South America. We called at working comme4cial ports, and sat alongside freighters, all kinds of cargo ships and thousands upon thousands of shipping containers. This was our 11th Celebrity cruise and defintely one of the best! we had a great Aqua Class stateroom, perched up on the rear portion of deck 11, allowing for great views and lots of quiet. Our stateroom attendant was by far, the best attendant we have experienced. Aqua class guests dine in Blu restaurant. Therefore, we enjoyed an intimate, casual setting and some truly delicious meals. Althoug( our menu choices were limited, compared to the MDR, we were never at a loss for choosing tasty dishes. The fish and seafood were particularly delicious. Ditto any of the myriad of duck and lamb dishes. But, again, it was the serving team, from the charming hostess, to the maitre d, the waiter, the assistamt and all of the bus people. I have never experienc3d such a consistently high level of service, with charm, no attitude and a desire to make everything perfect. As is often the case, only the sommelier stood out as a weak member of the dining room staff. Although the Infinity is an old ship, and the outside paint job showed its age, the interior spaces and staterooms appeared to be well maintained. It was clear that new carpet had recently been installed in most public areas. Seating around the pool was ample and comfortable, and the spa and spa pool area were spot on and comfortable. Shore excursions were expensive, and proved to be a mixed bag. We had one particularly bad excursion in Arica, Chile. Although it is not a well known tourist spot, and not a regular port of call, we though we had the right to have an English speaking guide on a 90$, 4 hour tour. Apparently we thought incorrectly, as our guide was at a loss for explain8ng the sights in understandable English. On the negative side, check in at the start of the cruise was disgusting. We waited for more then an hour to check in at the Fort Lauderdale terminal. Definitely not enough check in staff and what seemed like confusion and lack of experience. Information regarding our disembarkation was poor, and a change in final port, from Valparaiso to Sant Antonio was poorly handled. So both the beginning anfd the end of the journey were odd, having nothing to do with ship or ship crew, but everything to do with corporate Celebrity. However, the good parts of this trip far outweighed the few negatives. Read Less

We found this cruise allowed us to see places we wouldn't normally be able to see. We went to the Atacama Desert, the driest place on Earth.we also were in the heat and humidity of equatorial countries. The diversity was great ! On board we were very pleased with the alternative restaurants. The Tuscan Grill provided homemade pasta, incredibly delicious steak, and delicious seafood. Sushi on 5 was excellent ! The service was attentive, and recommended dishes were great ! We loved going to Qsine, a dining experience all of its own. It was fun, inventive, and a wonderful way to try a variety of unique dishes. The Trellis Diningroom provided a delicious variety of options every night. The service was excellent In all of the dining venues ! We took advantage of the classes on using iPhones and iPads . They were offered on sea days, and gave great tips on using different apps and helped you get the most out of your camera and editing tools. Classes in cooking, dancing, painting, and much more were also available. It was a really fun and interesting cruise . Read Less

Fascinating places, great on board service, good excursions! Interesting mix of passengers with around 50% being Spanish speaking only! Good cabin with great balcony, ideal for viewing the transit through the Panama Canal at close quarters. Would recommend this cruise. Food was good in all resteraunts, Quiisine was definitely a strange experience with too much food but it was great entertainment. Our waiter Osman in the Trellis dining room was exceptionally courteous and helpful. He did everything to accommodate our need and the needs of the other 4 diners at our table. The Colombian wine waiter (Fernando?) was very knowledgable and always had a smile for us! The young assistant waiter was very attentive. The entertainment was good especially Antonio Salci the pianist and resident band fantastic. Karen Grainger the singer / impressionist provided an entertaining show as did the Celebrity singers and dancers. We enjoyed our holiday very much. Read Less

This was a repositioning cruise so although there were no other cost saving perks enticing us to book the initial price was attractive and the locations traveled to irrisitable. Having a chance to see Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia and Panama was a chance not to be missed. We have enjoyed a Celebrity Cruise once in the past and very much enjoyed it - this one was just as good. Fantastic food/drink, service from a friendly but unobtrusive staff, and luxurious accommodations made it once again a wonderful vacation. The restaurant served varied and very tasty gourmet meals and the buffet was a delicious option for casual eating as well. Our room was looked after by Elmer from the Philippines and amongst others Krishna, Nester provided us with excellent personalized service at various bars. The room was comfortable, spotless, and we spent many hours enjoying the sun and views from our balcony. We highly recommend Celebrity Cruises. Read Less

This was our 3rd cruise, but 1st on Celebrity; it's now our favorite line. The food was very very good, above expectations. There is a high ratio of crew to guests and they really do take excellent care of you. Our waiter/assistant waiter in the dining room had only 3 tables to take care of, for example, and the room steward had only 10 rooms. The staff all seem very happy to be doing what they're doing. The shows at night were a step above the other lines we tried. And at last, at last there was someone on board to tell us about the ports, culture, history, and wildlife we might be visiting... not just the shopping. Now that said, this was clearly best for adults. There weren't nearly as many kid and teen activities as we saw on RC or Norwegian. For an adult, though, the enrichment activities onboard were an unexpected pleasure. Again, hats off to the crew of the Infinity; they made this trip memorable. Oh, and going through the Panama Canal, then down to Chile was a memorable experience. Cartagena was hot, as was Panama, but the weather going south in December was really great. And Chile... wow, what an awesome country. I want to go back there! Avoid the snorkeling excursion in Ecuador, though; the coral is all bleached. There are still some beautiful fish in the area but it's not much of a reef anymore. I guess with climate change we'd better visit the good reefs while we can; our grandchildren may only be able to read about them in their schoolbooks one day :-( . Read Less
