While this short cruise was very good there were some iratiants that could be easily fixed: First, the music was to loud.I fail to understand why management feels that music has to be loud ,especially when the majority of passengers are seniors. Secondly, there were only 2 gameshows.I have never been on a cruise with so few. Thirdly, while I have rated most everything as very good to excellent, the two above items were of sufficient annoyance that I would not sail on Infinity again. Fourthly, my 10 year old granddaughter was unable to use the kids pool due to the fact it was always occupied by adults ,who always had a drink in their hands. Overall,I though that the two performances put on by the ships company were the best I have seen on any cruise. Also the food served in the Oceanview buffet area was was varied and always good and there were always plenty of seats to be found. We scheduled a charter music trip and the charter company is using the Infinity for the entertainment spaces available. I can understand that. We have sailed on Windstar, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. This ship by far had the worst food selection and service of any. The Trellis dining room served several meals that were basically inedible. I was served the wrong steak at one meal and the server disappeared immediately without checking food quality. My wife had a steak and called it “old meat” that should have not been selected. My chicken was dry and tasteless. Some of the food came out so quickly that we knew they were under a warmer for awhile. A few meals were good. The ship is dated and sorely in need of refurb which is supposed to happen late in 2020. The carpets are worn but at least the pool areas seem to be nicely kept. The indoor pool is a nice touch. Our cabin (7081) was OK, but we noticed some of the bed linens were dirty and there were loose tiles in the shower. The cabin attendant said they could not fix the tile because it took 6 hours to set. We offered to work with them but to no avail. We are booking the same room next year and I bet the tiles will still be loose! If it weren’t for the charter company using this boat, I’d probably not sail on Celebrity again just due to the food quality and poor dining room service. Read Less

Loved this cruise. It was delightful! to welcome the New Year (2019) at Sea. The atmosphere on board was fun and thoroughly entertaining. The only reason I gave it a four star rating, was based on the beds in our veranda family suite. I sailed with grandchildren who were uncomfortable on the older, thin mattresses on the daybeds. The atmosphere on board was festive and I truly felt on vacation each day. Music filled the air as we strolled through the ship during the evening hours. A good variety of options were available for entertainment. I spent time in the casino which was lively and fun. I should note that while I traveled with family (3 generations) I am disabled. I use a scooter and have fairly good access throughout the ship. Staff were courteous and helpful My children enjoyed the "Snuba" experience. This entails using a raft that holds the air tanks with long hoses for the divers. They had a great time. Read Less

Took my 91 year old mother on probably her last cruise. We had 2 cabin. She shared 4044 with my daughter. My wife and I had 9126(concierge class). Weather was fantastic. The sailing was smooth as can be. We did not eat in any of the the ship"s specialty restaurants. The food and service in the main dining room was great. Dudley and Tyrone were our wait staff. They were exemplary! After sailing on many celebrity cruises it seems they are starting to nickel and dime everyone. I have an I-phone and in one of the daily programs they were offering a class to learn more about it. When I went to attend they had a sign in the room for $15.00pp. I signed up prior to cruise for internet service, but, it took a whole day before I was informed on how to log on. That information should have been in my cabin. On the great side, the cruise director was over the top. He interacted with the passengers more than any CD I can remember. The entertainment was top notch. Our cabin were clean and bed comfortable. Eventhough I have a few complaints I still reserved an upcoming cruise while on board. The ice cream is great!! Read Less

This coincided with our wedding anniversary but alas not a mention even though other cabins had their doors etc decorated -this was a small ut important factor Cruise was very enjoyable, food was exceptional and drinks very expensive -we ate atin the Italian, food and service was exceptional The concierge experience meant the cruise started from the moment we stepped off the taxi , people were on hand to guide us to our check-in and then straight on to ship, the lunch was perfect and we got to met some interesting guests who were quick to offer advise on how to get the best out of the cruise my wife and I both had accupunture and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, 3 sessions certainly helped my knee aand my wife enjoyed hers too Entertainment was fisrst class with a great amount of choice, Overall we were please with the cruise even though the lack of re cognition of our annivesary was disappointing Read Less

We choose this cruise because my parents and some friends had traveled with Celebrity before and really enjoyed it. Our previous experiences had been Carnival and Disney. This was definitely on a par with Disney (Carnival was fun, but not fancy). We chose to get an Aqua-Class stateroom and were definitely glad we did, if only because of how much of the embarkation line we got to skip! The room was nice, the balcony was nice. We did have a bit of noise from the very loud walkers/runners/jumpers upstairs, but it wasn't enough to ruin anything (we were on deck 9, port side, towards the front). We could tell the ship was older, mostly from the decor, but it was well-maintained. The worst sign of age was some looseness and bounciness in the floor of our bathroom. The buffet was fun sometimes, but always very, very crowded and the food was really hit-or-miss. Finding a table wasn't the easiest, either. We eventually opted for lunch in the main dining room, even though it meant standing in line for at least 10 minutes (sadly, not really longer than for some of the buffet sections). Aqua-Class was also great because of the dedicated dining room, Blu, for breakfast and dinner. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table, and they always asked for our preference in window-or-not. All the staff was wonderful; all smiles and friendliness and efficiency. We were especially fond of our sommelier, Fernando, who just seemed to really know his stuff and love his job. We do not have children, and were slightly surprised at the number of children on board (based on web comments and our friends' experiences), but maybe that was because it was July. The adults-only heated pool in the solarium was our favorite place to hang out. We also found the Silent Disco fun and funny. And our only on-ship sightings of humpbacks and dolphins were from the ports in the Constellation Lounge. We did a Macallan whiskey tasting with Conrad, which was excellent (we always learn new things at tastings). The live entertainment was fabulous; we especially loved the Lighthouse Duo, and the aerialists who performed with the singers and dancers on-stage. We only used the gym once, but that not for any reason besides not feeling like working out; we were able to get treadmills without a wait. We did shore excursions at all three ports; all nature-related, and we did see some wildlife (although not bears! No luck at all!!). The only upsetting part was that somehow they missed giving us our excursion tickets in our welcome package in our room. Therefore, we weren't aware that we needed tickets, and thought things would just be managed all through our roomkeys (like Disney). So, we waited until we had been in port for a little while, then wandered downstairs, only to overhear someone say that, "They're checking in excursions in the theatre." We went there, and the door attendant asks about tickets. Well, that was a panic moment. I ran back to our room to get our receipts, while my husband ran to the Excursions Desk. Happily, they were able to immediately "reprint" them (their words), and we made it to our first excursion on time, but frazzled. The tours themselves were well-organized with pleasant and knowledgeable guides, easy transportation and no feeling of being rushed on our return. We would travel with Celebrity again. We might like to try one of the new ships they advertised. I think we're now too spoiled to go below Aqua Class, though. We also bought the Premium Drink package, which was totally worth it (for us; we kept track to make sure). Made it most relaxing to just order a drink (or a smoothie, or a coffee) any time wanted without worrying about what the bill would be at the end. Disembarkation took just about an hour and was very organized and not confusing, so not bad at all. We stayed on in Vancouver for four days when we returned, but not through the cruiseline. A great trip! Read Less

Spent three days in Vancouver prior to the cruise. Embarkation was a nightmare, long queues. Carried our own bags when leaving therefore disembarkation went smoothly. The ship is tired looking, cabin was clean although the curtains, bed valance were torn. Bathroom had a musty smell which was sorted by our cleaner. Dining room was fine, great service and food was ok, ate here for breakfast and evening meal. The OceanView was a nightmare, queues, no room to eat, tables were not vacated and not asked to move even though there were signs. People were having to eat standing up. On the plus side, the cleaning and dining room staff were excellent. Entertainment wasn't brilliant, enjoyed the lectures. Port excursions were ok, I found all three ports very similar and boring. Enjoyed Hubbard glacier very much. In my opinion the company is only interested in taking as much money off passengers as everything seemed to cost extra I will not cruise with Celebrity again. I chose this cruise for its reputation. Embarkation and disembarkation was hassle free. The luggage reached rooms quickly. we were welcomed by our room attendant warmly. The hospitality was good; entertainment was good. The evening shows were mainly music. The catering staff was good and tried to provide best service. i have Indian taste. There were Indian dishes every day. We got to eat Paw Bhaji and Chole Bhaturay. There were two swimming pools but no one could really swim, you could sit and walk in them. However, it was a good experience in the pool. The outdoor pool area was mainly was for smokers. Even if I am non smoker I had to cross that for reaching indoor swimming pool. There was a lot of pushing to buy payable things particularly drinks. I bought alcohol drinks package but a lot of time I was told that a particular drink i wanted was not included in package. After disembarkation I noticed that i had been charged twice for every thing. I rang customer services twice and they agreed to refund the money but it is now three weeks since but I have not received full refund. Read Less

We bolted this cruise on to a holiday to Canada Rockies and BC. WE chose Celebrity because it gave the better deal compared to other Alaska 7 day cruises. Checking in was fine but immigtation seemed to take a long time. Once eventually on board the first contact witrh a cruise member of staff was about drinks packages which was rather annoying as all we wanted to do was setlle in and look around the ship. The cruise itself was great, even better as the weather was excellent. We thought Icy Straight Point was a bit of a waste of time but enjoyed the huskeys sleigh ride in Juneau. Hubbard Glacier was excellent the ship being able to get up very close to the glacier and was proably the highlight of the trip. As for the cruise Ship Celebrity Infinity compared to UK based cruise chips (e.g. P&O) we thought it was expensive and at every corner Celebrity seemed to want to take money from passengers. Food in the buffet was average but always crowded and difficult to find seats. The Restaurant for dinner was excellent with helpful staff although 3 times our group of 4 had to send the main course back. Ou cabin (6000) was right at the front (just a window) and it did get a bit choppy sometimes in the night. Entertainment in the theatre was good what we saw and some of the lectures were very good. One of the excursions we booked didn't run and was cancelled at short notice. The orgainsation/advice to passengers shore side was poor. We would consider Celebrity again but are put off by the high gratitude cost and high general costs not helped by being in dollars so wanted to compare with UK £ all the time. Read Less

Wanted to visit Alaska and this seemed an ideal way to do so. It superseded everything we could have imagined and every day seemed to get better and better. Could 100% recommend going on this cruise. A 5 star rating on all aspects of the holiday. Sadly we didn't see any whales close up, but that in no way detracted from the pleasure and enjoyment of the cruise. We will be looking through the cruise catalogues very much in the future due to the fact that in over 100 holidays, this one surpassed them all. The staff were all outstanding, helpful, polite and made cruising a delight. The food, as was to be expected, simply outstanding, with so much variety to choose from, I do not know how it could have been any better. So "thank you" Infinity for helping to create many memories which will last for a lifetime. Read Less
