Having cruised across many different venues, this cruise offered something different in an area of the world we had not yet explored. Going in January meant it was summer but the weather was a bit colder than many people expected. We brought the right clothing but some must have expected beach weather. As always, Celebrity's service, food, entertainment and ambiancwe were great. They had many different excursion options, but not a single one provided support for handicap people. I use an electric scooter and the tours did not accommodate it. But we were able to find tours in every port that supported our needs. Often these were private taxi tours that were designed just for us. Celebrity did do a good job of getting me on and off the ship, even in tendered ports. This was greatly appreciated. This cruise highlighted seeing wild life (e.g. pengiuns, sea lions, sea birds and even an occasional whale). You would not see this scope of wild life anywhere else. It also took us to cities that have unique cultures and ways of life. It was very educational. Overall it was a vey good cruise. Read Less

This was a trans Atlantic and it made stops in Ponta Delgado, Waterford, Cork, and Dublin, Ireland. We initially signed up for the following cruise to Ireland, Iceland and Shetlland Islands then decided to give this a try, our first trans Atlantic. It was a great decision. We had a very smooth crossing, way smoother than the follow on cruise. The guest entertainers were outstanding, especially Jane Curry, a singer/comedian. Her show was SRO. The Beyond the Podium speakers were also informative and entertaining. There were so many activities it was hard to decide between them. There was music throughout the ship and it seemed at all times. The CD Eddy Jenkins and the Activities Manager, Giuseppe were hilarious together and made the cruise so much fun. The service in all venues including the Oceanview was very good. Food was very good to excellent. In lieu of an included beverage package perk, we decided to take advantage of a price drop after final payment and upgraded to a Sky Suite. With lots of sea days we really appreciated Michaels Club. I loved their afternoon tea and there was usually live music to accompany it. Manuella the Michaels Club Concierge was so helpful and Neville, our evening bartender was so accommodating. Eddy Jenkins took the usual Celebrity entertainments and enhanced them. For example, the Silent Disco became the Battle of the DJs. There was an evening of ABBA with dancing and a sing along, so much fun. This is by far the best cruise we have taken. With so much entertainment you didn’t even notice the 7 days at sea before we hit land. We liked the atmosphere and the attention of the waiters in Luminae but now know we prefer the more creative dishes in Blu. However, for a 15 night cruise with so many sea days, the extra cabin space and Michaels Club was appreciated. Read Less

We chose this cruise as we wanted an eastern Caribbean and southern to islands we have yet to explore and found this 14 day cruise. Little did we know that there is nothing for entertainment on this ship for anyone under the age of 60!!! The music is ideal for big bands, waltz and such which were popular in the 40's and 50's! Then we upgraded to get the water package as my wife needs water for medical reasons. But we were only able to get 1 bottle at a time and it was nearly an act of God to get more than that at a time! Like water is more precious than gold!!! And on a cruise that costs this much to get a case of flipping $10 water? Then have to wait until bedtime every 2-3 days to get it at that! The excursions are decent though over priced. You can do better and save money on your own shore side. Then the food. It was good, not exceptional, but they are on a schedule and take the food down by 10 pm every night no matter what! Then by 1030, the flipping ship is a near ghost town!!! Our ship was loaded with walkers and scooters and everyone over 60 thought this was wonderful as it isn't a party ship like the others and they can relax, take their naps daily and play Scrabble and cards daily and be in bed by 9 to 10pm and not have any partiers keeping them awake! Horrible cruise that I thought would never end! I will never cruise on Celebrity ever again! This is a cruiseline for old people that want quiet and no kids!!! Their whole idea of fun on sea days was name that tune! From the 40's, 50's and 60's!!! (ARE YOU FLIPPING SERIOUS???) Read Less

I had a 14 night cruise as a 25 year marriage gift from my wife. We ad been looking forward to 2 weeks of relaxation on Celebrity Eclipse around the Caribean islands. We had stateroom 1158 on 10th deck. It was a consierge stateroom and should be one of the better ones as should the ship. We were impressed about the ship - the stateroom and the view over the see. We had a great welcome lunch in the main restaurant. Everything was promising for the next 2 weeks. However when getting to bed the nightmare started. The cabin had some huge vibrations which made it impossible to get a good nights sleep. When complaining to guest relations we were told that the ship was fully booked and could not offer us another room. After a week we had a new room without vibrations and could finally sleep but by now the lack of sleep for a week and the fact that we could not relax in the cabin made our fantastic cruise a nightmare. We were told thcat this was quite normal but that the heavy vibaitions would migrate to other rooms on the next cruise and they could never predict where it would hit. I do not believe this explanation - why didnt it move the whole cruise? After some heavy negotions we were compensated with an amount we could live with. The compansation was as a discount on a cruise with Celebrity Cruiseline. So if we want to use the compensation we have to make another cruise with them. I we dit not have the discount I would say: NEVER CELEBRITY AGAIN. The staff - the food was wonderful and saved our holiday outside our room Read Less

14 night Southern Caribbean Cruise – Miami 04/03/2018 This was our very first cruise, we travelled with friends who had also never cruised before, only spoken to friends who were seasoned cruisers. So it was with some trepidation, that we embarked on our first Caribbean cruise. Our trepidation in vain, when we arrived at the check-in desk. From that point to arriving at our the state room the embarkation couldn’t have been more simpler. For the 14 nights on board, the service from all the staff was exceptional. Our room attendant Jose, was superb, the waiting table staff in the dining rooms was also exceptional, knowledgeable about the menu’s and the wine lists, the bar staff all around the ship were all first class. The ship its self, exceeded expectations, pictures online didn’t do it justice. We spoke to many people on-board during our vacation, and all said we has “ set the bar high” for our first cruise with Celebrity, so I guess we will be booking our next cruise with Celebrity. There are a couple of things I would mention as some constructive criticisms. The shore excursions are expensive, Try some of the local taxi drivers on the islands, far more flexible with timings form coming back to the ship if you don’t want to stay on the beach all day !! The internet package is expensive for the Wi-Fi service you receive, very poor in places, especially in the state rooms where most people would want to make their private calls / facetime family back home, this is the one place where Wi-Fi should be easily available. The Classic drinks package does not cover enough of the basic drinks people would normally have, which then forces customers to upgrade to the premium package, an understandable move by Celebrity, but customers should be told or give a sample of the drink packages menus when booking their trips. I booked through Igloo.com, who when questioned said the Classic drinks package would suffice, it didn’t by a long way, we ended up upgrading to the premium drinks package. All this said, the whole trip was exceptional from beginning to end, a truly brilliant vacation, and a wonderful experience. Thank you Celebrity Cruises Read Less

We were reading about some good deals and wanted to go to some Islands that we have never been to in the southern Caribbean. The deal we got wasn't as good as we expected, however the trip was amazing. We did make a last minute reservation. We really needed a handicapped room. One was not available so we got an inside wheelchair accessible room. We did have to climb around my husband's scooter. Also, the saddle in the doorway was not accessible when we got their. Their wonderful maintenance team did build a ramp for him in no time. What disappointed me was the coffee shop. In order to have a cup of regular coffee I had to go to the buffet. I am not into specialty coffees and if I were, the prices are ridiculously high. The buffet is a little far to go just for a cup of coffee. The casino, which both my husband and I patronize frequently needs to have $5.00 tables open in the evening. Instead, they have $10.00 and up minimum tables open, but nobody playing. What a waste of manpower. It should be up to individuals sitting at the table to decide how much they want to bet above a $5.00 minimum. In most cases they raise to $10.00. Three card polka becomes extremely expensive if is has a minimum of $10.00. There were a lot of people who wanted to play in the evening, but decided not to because of the cost. Just a thought on how you can keep more people in the casino. The Quisine was a lot of fun and Murano was excellent. A big disappointment was that we booked thinking that we were getting the advertised perks. However, after we did book we learned that the inside cabins got nothing. There were no outside accessible cabins available even though we requested. Totally disappointed about not getting any perks. I will be more vigilant in checking the next time. Based on that option, I might cruise a different line. Read Less

First Time Celebrity. Several Holland America, Norwegian, Carnival, Royal Viking. This was the best of the best. Food was simply delicious. Entertainment was amazing. Cabin was very comfortable. # 6303. Staff were so down to earth and friendly. This is a great ship. Love the lay out of the vessel. I highly recommend this cruise line and this particular ship. We enjoyed all the ports of call. I cannot say enough about how happy we were to have been on this 14 day trip. This was more adult orientated. Only one child on board. We purchased the beverage package, and the unlimited WiFi. Yes, I would travel with Celebrity again . The ship was spotless. The gym was amazing. Loved the pools. Hot tubs, could have been a bit warmer. I think the show's onboard were some of the very best I have ever seen. Look forward to more travel ! Read Less

We enjoy all the sea days and activities on transatlantic cruises for a relaxing and comfortable vacation. My husband is partially handicapped so cruises with a lot of ports are difficult for him. The crew was very helpful and supportive of his needs. We upgraded to Aqua class for this cruise and were not disappointed. The food and service in the Blu dining room were superb. The entertainment was excellent with good variety and quality. Our cabin steward was the best and went out of his way to make us comfortable. The lectures were not of interest to us but there were plenty of options available to keep us busy during the day. The Captains Club activities provided good socializing opportunities and Maila,, the hostess, was kind, helpful, available and did an excellent job. The Elite lounge for the evening socials was packed and very difficult to find seating. Perhaps by extending the hours from 5-8 the early diners could use the first hour and the later diners would be more able to find seating for cocktails before their dinner hour. We would certainly travel again on the beautiful Celebrity Eclipse. Read Less

Late booking secured excellent deal with adjacent balcony cabins and inclusive drinks package for 4 adults. A beautiful Ship in excellent condition. The most visible and charismatic Captain we have ever had on 10 cruises - his charm and hospitality permeated through all the officers and the entire crew. The fastest embarkation and disembarkation we have ever experienced - superbly organised. Excellent wheel-chair assistance from car to lounge on ship on departure and the reverse on arrival. Excellent clean cabin with attentive room steward and cleaner, Plenty of quiet space around the ship and excellent on-board facilities. Great entertainment and shows. Singers, Dancers, Juggler, Comedian, and other shows - plenty of space in theatre with no queues, Wonderful food well served, huge choice, lovely main dining room. Despite 2800 passengers - it never felt crowded. One small niggle was the Lisbon City Tour by coach organised through Celebrity - a very poor guide, the route was not clearly described and the coach did not stop at the main sights in Lisbon. We should have arranged our own tour by taxi. The city looked wonderful. Read Less

After spending a disappointing night at the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton for a pre cruise stay, we had a very easy journey to the ship, where we could park a couple of minutes walk away from the terminal. Embarkation was really easy, with no lines, and we only had to wait fro around 15 minutes before boarding began. We have sailed on Eclipse before, and once again we were delighted to be back onboard. The ship is beautiful, with grand public areas and great levels of customer service. From the welcome champagne, to the exquisite food, Celebrity really do know how to roll out the red carpet! We were staying in a Concierge Class Cain 9296, midship with a balcony, and as the cabin is on the bump off the ship, it has a larger than average balcony, which gives some much welcomed extra space to relax on. Celebrity are very keen on trying to convince guests to upgrade at every opportunity - drinks package upgrade, dining package upgrade etc are all available, and while the crew are not overly pushy, they are keen to try and encourage you to purchase as you board. We upgraded our drinks package to the premium alcoholic package which allowed us drinks up to $15, and a 5 night dining package. Celebrity Eclipse is one of the older solstice class ships, and as such does not have so many dining choices as Silhouette and Reflection. In addition to the Moonlight Sonata MDR, Ocean View Cafe and mast Grill, there are the familiar speciality restaurant options of Murano, Qsine, Tuscan Grill, and the new addition of Sushi on Five, which replaces Bistro on Five. The quality of the food in each venue is wonderful, and generally the service in each venue is good too. The service varies according to the venue, with MDR being more hurried than the speciality venues, but there did seem to be a lack of consistency in the speciality dining venues - and seeing as Celebrity charge twice as much as some of their competitors for speciality dining, they really need to focus on getting this absolutely right. There are silly things that are not delivered consistently across the fleet, and it does make it feel a little like there are corners being cut. The onboard entertainment was good, with the guest entertainers being a particular highlight, especially the insanely energetic Jayne Curry, and X Factor finalists the McDonald Brothers. Celebrity are clearly trying to offer something for everyone, and as a result there were some nights when the onboard entertainment really failed to appeal to us. The other real let down, was the house band. Lethargic, and seemingly disinterested on performing, they really were a low point. Read Less
