Balcony (8F) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: December 2018
Location, Location, Location! This would just be a balcony cabin, except for the LOCATION. Literally at the heart of the ship. If you can book it, DO!

The cabin was in a good location, and very quiet. Our only complain is that the balcony is uncovered.

Damage on the walls and ceiling, the windows were caked with mildew (they even said one day they were window washing, but all I noticed was the balcony was wet - the windows didn't look washed at all), the sink was broken on the first night (the room steward was actually a great guy, he fixed that when he was it the next day). The couch had weird liquid stains in it on the back pillows, and the bedsheet had a big yellow stain in it....which I'm sure was sterilized (I hope), but was still very pee-yellow. But they kept it vacuumed and tidy every day. Towels refreshed, bed turned down every night, etc. Read Less
Great Time : Cabin 1078
Sail Date: March 2018
First time getting a balcony room and I don't think we will book anything else in the future. Having private space, with a view, and sea air was well worth the extra cost

It was a standard Carnival balcony cabin. The balcony seemed smaller than previous balconies. We asked our steward to separate our bed to make 2 twins. There was not enough room between the bed, less than 1 foot between, so it felt like we were still in 1 bed. My mother & sister were in 1065 next door- same issue with the beds being way too close together. There was no space between window & bed either. There were 3 closets, 4-5 drawers, plenty of shelves in the bathroom, drawers under the sofa. No robes in room, no ice bucket. Our steward gave us a card where we could make requests & select our preferred cabin servicing time- morning, evening & both were on the card. My sister next door requested both & was given a bit of trouble for it at 1st, but did comply with her wishes. We did have the balcony partition opened between our balconies (1063/1065) Doing this made the balcony seem even smaller & it partially blocked the window of 1065. It was convenient for us to use the balcony to go between cabins instead of using the hallway. Cabin was cleaned daily, but no notable extra service was provided. Read Less

CABIN: BALC 1073 Panorama Deck forward.... It was quiet and a nice location to elevators. There is a small FRIDGE stocked with soda and small travel liquor for purchase. I pre-purchased some bottled water and the room steward said I may set aside the soda to have use of the fridge. This is your typical stateroom; 2 beds with a sofa. The ship deck map has the room listed as a: 2-person occupancy. However, I see no reason why one could not easily make a KING BED for parents, and utilizing the sofa as a bed for a child? SAFE, 32" flat screen TV, room light switches at the bed, water and soda to purchase in the room. Two robes hanging in the closet. Conveniently located right off the LIDO 2nd floor made moving around the ship simple. NOTE: THIS BALCONY is one of the OPEN TOP balconies without a roof. Read Less
