Balcony (8D) Cabin Reviews

Ana is the best cabin steward. Our room clean and she went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of.

We were right under the Lido deck and heard footsteps, as well as furniture moving every night/early morning. Not the best room for kids trying to sleep while other passengers were partying. Also, other passengers ruined the balcony experience by smoking (which isn't allowed). The layout was fine, just not a room designed for families. Read Less

Typical balcony cabin, extremely clean. Dwi took very good care of us. We asked for robes and ice. Being on the rear of the ship there was a little vibration from the props and once in a while we could hear chairs being moved around on the deck above. The advantage of being on deck 8 aft, is the above deck is very handy (buffet, bars, pools). We would book this cabin again. Read Less

We had cabin 8316 Veranda Deck. Room was fine. Great cabin steward named "Ramo". Very prompt and patient with the passengers. It was a mistake to have accepted deck 8 in that location as the Lido deck stage/pool/bar was right above our heads. Noise level was up & down all night long. Biggest noise was from lounge chairs being moved or 'scraped' around upstairs as well as the music. With an aging population, and C-pap machines becoming a way of life, I hope cruise ships make outlets a little more user friendly. Read Less

The cabin was roomy, always clean, and adequate, however, the windows to the balcony was not very clear. Also, the outlet in the bathroom only worked if the lights were on, so charging our phones at night resulted in a "nightlight". Our 1st shower flooded water everywhere but a word to our room steward and the drains were quickly cleared. It was located just off the atrium/elevator doors, but at nights, thankfully, they closed the hall doors so it helped with the noise. In all, we'd still prefer closer tot he elevator/stairs rather than having to walk long halls. Read Less

This was a standard Carnival balcony. Everything was clean and functional. Lots of storage with a balcony big enough for 2 chairs and a table. The air conditioning wasn't critical since the weather was cool for all but one day. One that day the A/C was just good enough to keep the room tolerable but nowhere as strong as the older smaller boat. You now have to decide when you want your room serviced. We tipped $10 on the first day when the cabin steward brought us an ice bucket. The timing for room cleaning was unpredictable and ranged from 8 am to 1 pm regardless if we were in the room or not. Sometimes the glasses were cleaned or replaced but not always. The first night the beds were not turned down and used towels were not taken or replaced. Read Less
Very relaxing cruise! : Cabin 7355
Sail Date: October 2017
Cabin was kept nice and clean. Our steward was absolutely fabulous and accommodated our every request. Very quiet. Plenty of closet space. Beds were comfortable. We did notice an occasional sewer smell.

This was our sixth cruise. Cabins have not changed. However, the balconies are still very comfortable cabins. When ever in our cabin, we do spend some time out on the balcony. When we first arrived in our cabin and opened the balcony/window drapes, we found a dirty towel under the drapes. Told our steward about it and of course he did not own responsibility. He replied, I did not clean your room. However, when arriving, he introduced himself as the head steward and introduced one of his assistants. I feel as the head steward, he should have owned the responsibility instead of saying "I did not clean your room". The remaining time on the cruise our room was cleaned very well. Read Less
