I’m only 13 so I really love entertainment and circle c was the most of it. The advisor Josh was amazing. He cared for everyone there, made conversations, and always made sure nobody was doing anything bad. I’m going to miss circle c only bc he was so great. In all the experience was memorable. Today was the last day and I am home but i really miss it already. I forgot to mention but the customer service was also awesome too. So as the Arcade which was a blast, bingo, and the pools as well. I know i’ve said this many times before but i really really really love this cruise and i recommend to use it. In all I had a awesome time and really hope to come visit again sometime. Read Less

recently had a caribean cruise on carnival dream, which was absolutely excellent,so much so they we have already looked into booking our 2nd one!! we embarked at new orleans, which was very smooth,we had embarkment time of 12.30 -1.30..we were on the ship by 12.30!!so many good memories from start to finish..everyone is made to feel welcome, the ship is large, yet never felt crowded...lots of activities going on day and night..Gary the cruise director does an excellent job,as do all the staff on board.the ship looked beautiful, and was clean, food was hit and miss, seemed to be the same, each day in the buffet, and at best just warm.the main dining room(we were in scarlet)the food was a little more varied, though perhaps not as good standard,as other cruise ships i have been on..the waiting staff however were excellent and work tirelessly to ensure, evrything go well..they really do a great job.guys hamburger joint and pig and anchor, were excellent.most of the crew/staff we met we very courteous, happy and wanted us to enjoy every minute..we saw quite a few theatre shows..my favorite had to be the mr and mrs show, with audience participation..it was hillarious, and again Garry as well as participants were star of the show...deck parties were very good fun,as were dive in movies..the atrium on board is beautiful, and popular place to hang out ,have a drink and watch/join in entertainment the piano bar was good too..just loved, basically everything about the whole cruise, our room was port hole cabin, which was spacious enough for us 3 ladies...i would highly reccomend carnival dream cruise Read Less

I had an amazing Vacation this time of the year was perfect the weather was just right and not humid or too hot. The service was outstanding. The Only reason I am not giving 5's for everything is my shore excursion in Cozumel was not the best. I was kinda disappointed as I didn't realize how long it was going to take to get to the destination and we ended up only having three hours instead of 6 hours at the location plus it was so packed as their were 6 ships in Cozumel when we were their. My cabin 2346 was wonderful. Very close to the water and when on the balcony we were able to watch the Pilot boat captain jump on and off the ship to Pilot the ship into the harbors and Mississippi river (Takes 7 hours to get through the river to the Gulf of Mexico). Also were able to see 10 dolphins and 1 whale from our room. Weather was around 85'F every day. Sunny and water was great. Jamaica was my favorite place to visit. Would defiantly recommend doing a snorkeling tour when here we saw so many tropical colored fish in the bay. Next time I go to Cayman Islands I am going to do Stingray bay and snorkeling tour as the water was crystal clear the further out you got. Read Less

We chose the cruise because it best fit our schedule with it sailing over the holiday break. But, I was taken back by so many things. The concern is with the passengers for the most part but I think Carnival can take better control. I want to start by stating the service by those that work for Carnival was good! Our cabin steward (Henry) our waiters at dinner (Greg, Vicxon, and Aleksandra) were great! Now the other matters - waiting for guests to arrive for muster drill, children throwing ice on people from upper decks, dirty plates of food left on stairs, people yelling from balconies to other ships when docked; and last but not least the dress for dinner in dining room especially on cruise elegant night (I know we don't have to dress formally but) shorts and flip flops are now allowed. And, someone had their sneakers on the table! Sorry but that is our last Carnival Cruise. Read Less

We are pretty laid back cruisers. We are usually down for whatever, and rarely complain or make a big deal of out of things. Our first time out of NO and getting on the ship was probably the quickest and most smoothest experience we have had with carnival. Parking was expensive at port. Overall ship was clean, however room was a B on clean. It wasn’t bad enough to complain but got the feeling it was just quickly wiped down not thoroughly clean. It was kind of like this the entire cruise. I don’t know if this makes a difference but I will say it’s the first time we have not stayed in a suite, and just had two ocean view rooms. Wondering if service declines with lower category rooms? Dining Dining was great. Guys burger bar was AMAZING and I’m pretty sure at least one of us ate here at least once a day. We didn’t get chance to eat at the bbq place. As it’s only opened for lunch on at sea days. Food in main dining was average with a few great moments, although I feel this is typical with main dining on cruises. Entertainment Was good and we all had a good time. Although some Big adult events such as $5000 Bingo/build a bear workshop seemed to be inconveniently booked at same times. We had late dining and felt there was a gap in things to do between 4-7:30, but then the activities picked up around 7:30. Our next cruise we will either do early dining time or your time dining because we felt every night we had to decide between dinner or an activity. Ports Costa maya- we did water park. Had great time. It was less than 5mins from port. Although carnival charged for my 5yr old, when 5yr olds are free at park. I contacted carnival through their best price guarantee- after two weeks I finally heard back(day before cruise) that they are in process of updating their site to offer free for 5yr also. It was too late to cancel his ticket online so once aboard I talked to guest services. Had to show them carnival email before they would refund ticket. Didn’t refund the 110% like guarantee says but did refund ticket price as on board credit. The difference is only about $8 so I was fine with that. Mahogany Bay- Maya private island. Highly suggest! We Loved the monkeys!! Belize- we booked private tour. CaveTubing.bz and LOVED it! This port doesn’t have much to do directly off ship. And plan extra for timing getting on and off ship and it’s via a charter boat. Cozumel- took a cab on our own to Paradise Beach and saved over $200 not booking through cruise. No beaches are within walking distance of port. Kids clubs Kids had a great time and begged to go to clubs everyday. My teen felt her club activities started late, and wish they offered more earlier in the day. We cruise usually every other year. We enjoyed this ship but we don’t ever book the same ship twice. We would do a western Caribbean cruise again though. Read Less

American brad is an amazing host I seen him a lot throughout the cruise and he was amazing. I did not receive an invite and had no idea what time or where the meet and mingle was so that was a little disappointing but overall I had a blast. There was a smell throughout the hallways a sweage smell it was bad at times but the crew made up for it. The director was good too I just never really seen him much. I saw American brad a lot more and he was complexity awesome. Did Chacchoben with Native Choice and highly recommend. Did Roatan Ocen Adventures snorkle hop and was fantastic. Much better than West Bay West End beach snorkle. Did cave-tubing.com butts up cave tube and zip. Great excursion for price. Highly recommend. Did Amazing Secret River via Carnival and although pricey was an amazing excursion. MDR was just OK. Elegant night on first sea day and Belize. First night had lobster and ate 2. Second night had filet and just OK. Not tender. Had Guys Buger just off grill and delicious. Had buffet one night and was Italian night and sucked. Show were fail. Did Motown, oldies, movies. Did lip sync show and was fun. We are Platinum level with Carnival so we enjoy cruising with them., jWe had great service from the crew. Got to have good relationships with several of the bartenders. We had one bad experience the first night (they woke us at 10 pm and said we were not at the muster drill which of course we were and they records proved it) but were able to resolve it with the guest services manager. It was a llittle rocky start but she made it right. Our steward was attentive and since he knew we were early risers he made sure our cabin was one of the first cleaned so we could come back after breakfast and start our day. I was a little disappointed in the lack of activities on board while we were in port. This is the first cruise we have been on that I didn't get a ship on a stick mostly because there was not enough opportunities to win one. Read Less

He was very personable. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The dining was excellent and the food was really good. The waiters were personable and well mannered. I was very impressed by Ramil. He was excellent. Loved the shows they were really good. The entertainers were good. The comedians in the punchliner were so funny. After a 3 hour delay the boarding process was horrible we were hurded like cattle with little to no direction. 5 min after boarding the ship you are mustered on lockdown in a dinning hall then it’s a free for all to get to the elevators or move 12 decks back to your room. When I say the ship was overcrowded you could not move about with out being up in someone’s business. It took almost an hour to get settled in not fun at all. The schedule your dinner meal in an overcrowded restaurant and expect you to eat at odd late times. This is designed to force you to buy food. The whole time they are pushing you to buy crap it’s loke a 7 day locked down time share convention with boose total waste of money. This is not what I expected from a trusted cruse line like carnival needs to say I will never cruse with carnival again. Read Less

The tea room was good only went on the last day. Would appreciate if they had the varieties of tea free & not charge. Went to the bar on the last day - the bartender recommended a drink which was really horrible - felt cheated of a drink. Our room service Mai was good. Alex the cruise director was good. Such an amazing experience & outstanding food! Thank you to everyone on the Carnival Dream! Cayman islands was our favorite stop, would liked to have stayed longer. In Montego Bay, we were not happy with how so many people aggressively try to sell drugs in multiple formats. We ended our time there to go back to the ship. Cozamel was nice, though it rained while we were there. As for the show, go to them all! And the comedy shows we're hysterical! We will definitely recommend this ship! Read Less

We chose this cruise because the itinerary had places we wanted to go and sail out of a port we have never been to before (Port NOLA). Overall we had a great experience. It was my fourth Carnival cruise and my wife's first time ever cruising with any cruise line. However it was my first time staying in a balcony room and on the spa deck which I highly recommend. The amenities that are offered while staying on the spa deck are worth it and a great place to go when want to experience something more relaxing. My wife has said she will not travel with any other cruise line other than Carnival as she enjoyed it so much and our cruise director Lee Mason was fantastic and very entertaining. The entertainment was great as always with something always going on. The service was exceptional. We had anytime dining which means we sat at a different table and sometimes different sides of the dining room each night which resulted in the dining staff singing "Happy Honeymoon" to us twice during our cruise along with a personalized chocolate cake both times. We wanted to do something memorable for our 25th wedding anniversary and this cruise was just the ticket. From the excellent food and high class entertainment, this cruise had it all. Whether you wanted the fine dining of the steakhouse, the normal dining in the regular restaurants or just grabbing something on the go, we didn’t experience any bad meals. The cabin had plenty of room and was quite cozy when we did actually sleep. We had plenty of choices for excursions in the ports of call. There was something for everyone in each of the ports. The shopping opportunities in Grand Cayman & Cozumel we’re off the charts. Embarkation & debarkation both went very smoothly. I would highly recommend you purchase Faster to the Fun if it’s available when you cruise. We were able to embark well ahead of most of the cruisers which made that experience very nice. We chose the Dream because we went on the Freedom two yrs ago and wanted to try something else. By far the Freedom was a lot better ship. I guess the time we went out there was a lot of children and so disrespectful and rude . They ran up and down the halls yelling and would not let an elder get by they would just stand in the way like someone owned them something. Room service was nothing like the Freedom, we only got our room freshened up one time a day on the Dream and on the Freedom it was every time we walked in or out of our room. We had to repeatedly ask for things and ice . The service in the Bar was the best they remembered our names and we met new friends there. Romela, Aundre, I Wayne, and Carlton was the best ever . Was very disappointed in Costa Maya and Belize I will recommend the Freedom over the Dream. We took our 3 children and our son in law on this cruise as what would probably be our last family vacation together. All four of them are older than 21 so even though they're are children, they aren't really kids. We chose this cruise because my wife and I took the exact same cruise in September, 2016 and really enjoyed it. The ship and the crew are fantastic. Our cabin steward, Joel, was terrific in taking care of us and making sure that we had everything we needed. The venues were very nice and the Alchemy Bar was a very nice surprise with the different types of drinks that they made. The live shows were pretty good-a few clunkers here and there but for the most part very entertaining. Dining was terrific as always. The main dining room has wonderful food and the staff there (we had several different ones) were all on top of their game. It's nice when you get friendly and good service from multiple individuals and not just one person. The only real drawback to the cruise were the number of younger (18 or less) on the ship. We chose the Memorial Day holiday week thinking that most kids would still be in school but we totally missed that one! Lots of kids on senior trips and taking vacations with their parents. It made it very hard to get a place at the pool or find seating in the Lido buffet. I think the next cruise we take, we'll probably do a little more research and find one more appropriate for our age. Other than that, the cruise was very good and the ship's crew was once again outstanding. Read Less

We chose the Carnival Dream because we been on fantasy class and wasn't too impressed at all. We loved this ship! The only negatives I have is the great restaurants wasn't open long enough at all! On port days they were open till 3:30 but we still had to hurry to get there before they closed. The main reason to pick certain ships is the offerings of activities and food places. Carnival needs to reconsider this option in future to stay open later. Also, I got a voucher first night for a free drink because I am a gold member and wasn't allowed to use it till last night after 5pm! I think that is ridiculous on our 7 night cruise. Carnival should be ashamed for that tactic i love Carnival but things need to be changed I think. I was excited to become a gold member this cruise and it was stingy with a drink they sell all the time. I think there should be better music choices also, newer music on lido deck. The cruise director Lee Mason was awesome! He was energetic and always had activities going on. Please Carnival fix some of these issues! We thought about going with Nowegian to knows in the future. This was my second cruise but the first cruise for my children who are 5 and 6. Our cruise sailed out of New Orleans. We drove down and parked our car in the garage. I was a little worried about that at first but the experience was so easy. Carnival had plenty of porters ready to help with our luggage from the car and then directed you where to park. Boarding the ship was relatively fast for the amount of people boarding. The line never stopped moving. We scheduled our boarding time from 1:30-2:00 and we were on the ship by 1:15. The only thing that I would add to this experience is that you are permitted to bring soda on the ship, but it must be in cans, not bottles. That also means no bottle water. When we got to our cabin at 1:30, our luggage was already in the hall waiting for us. Our room was an inside room. It was very clean. Shortly after arriving, we met our cabin steward, Merta. He was wonderful and always smiling. He came in and introduced himself and also put the bunks down for the kids. He brought extra towel because we had four people in our cabin. If traveling with children I do highly recommend getting children's motion sickness tablets. My children seemed to be doing well with the movement of the ship until my 6 year old woke up in the morning and threw up in her bed. Merta was quick to respond and take care of the issue. Anytime we saw him in the hallway he always smiled and asked how we were doing. The dining was great. Breakfast and lunch we usually ate the buffet or we would eat Guy's Burgers. The buffet always had several items to choose from. The hours were great and always seemed to be an option anytime of the day. We did not eat at the pizza place, but they were open 24 hours. For our evening dining, we did the our time dining. With two smaller kids, I felt this would be an easier option than having a set time. We were able to eat at our restaurant anytime between 5:30 and 9. The service in the restaurant was phenomenal. Each night we were greeted by Alina and after a few nights, my kids would run up to her and give her a hug. She was wonderful and always smiling. We had Jose three of the seven nights. Jose, Putu Edy, and Michael were wonderful. They interacted with the kids and made animals out of the napkins for them. One of the best parts is that they would always call us by name, making us feel special. Formal nights were amazing! The staff would have a song that they danced to each night. This made the experience that much better and enjoyable. We went to 4 of the shows during our cruise. Each and everyone of the shows were great! I love music and all the entertainers did a great job. My children enjoyed them as well. My children went to the Camp Ocean a few times during the cruise. They enjoyed their time there and asked to go back several times. It was their choice if they wanted to go, I did not force them to. My children also liked the pools as most kids do. I love that Carnival offers life jackets to the smaller kids. We also watched a movie on the Lido Deck. It had cooled off that night and Carnival had blankets that you could borrow while watching the movie. My kids thought that was wonderful that they were able to watch Coco in a lounge chair under a blanket. On one of the days at sea, my children were able to participate in the Sousa Palooza parade and story hour. The entertainment staff were so good with all the children and they loved how they were able to interact in the story. This cruise had everything for any type of vacation you want. The only thing that I did not rate as excellent was the shore excursions. We got off the ship in Jamaica and Cozumel and did the 10 Best in each stop. We wanted to shop and get souvenirs to remember our trip. The excursion description said there would be shopping but the tours were so rushed, you did not have much time to shop at all. I would have been better off to not pay the extra money for the excursion and just got off at the port and shopped there. Also be aware in Jamaica, everyone you meet expects a tip. They call you in for a picture then say, don't forget to tip for your picture. I found the people to be very pushy and rude. The service on the ship was extraordinary. One staff member by the name of Shujith was amazing. We met him while sitting outside and he interacted with my kids and made them towel animals. They thought that was so neat. We went to the towel folding class and he was there helping the kids fold their towels into animals. Each day he saw my kids, he would fold towels with them. Every crew member you came into contact with on the ship was always smiling and seemed so eager to make sure you were having fun. My children and I enjoyed our vacation so much and much of that is because of the staff on the Carnival Dream. Thank you for making this such a memorable experience. We are already planning our next cruise. Read Less

This was what we picked for our honeymoon and we were very disappointed. Numerous factors came in to play that could have made our trip better but as it was, we may never cruise again. This was my husbands first cruise and my second. Which my first cruise was amazing and I have no complaints. Embarkation was very, very quick and smooth. Even with the long line of people I was amazed by how fast they got everyone on the ship. Our Cabin was fine, no complaints besides the horrible television selection. Dinio our steward was wonderful. Always smiling and friendly. Dining...We truly looked forward to dinner every night. That, I think, was our favorite part of the trip. IGusti, Benni, and Ana were a well oiled machine. Dinner service was always very quick and with a smile. We shared every evening how each of our days were and loved getting to know the crew. As for buffets, they were average. Plenty to choose from and some items were wonderful and some not so great. Guys burgers made us sick the first day of the cruise which really set the mood for the rest of the week. Needless to say we didn't try that again. We never got to try the Ancor BBQ, it was only open one day that I know of and the line was awful. Entertainment was okay. The Flying Scottsman was however amazing and did well getting everyone involved and up beat. Another favorite of our was the Love and Marriage show. I could have went to another one of those during the trip. We laughed so much we cried. We missed alot of the shows because of timing. Our dinner was late so alot of times it interfered with shows. We would either have to rush through dinner or we would have to leave early and miss the ending. I did not enjoy the vocalist at all in the lobby. There was one male that was okay but the rest were awful. We loved Passion Island in Cozumel even though they cut our trip short because the water was getting rocky. It was very relaxing and well worth the money. We didnt do any other excursions unfortunately. The very one thing we had our hopes up to do was in Honduras and due to weather conditions, which I understand, they were unable to dock the boat so we had to go back to Cozumel. Other things added in to our horrible trip...due to timing we had to go during spring break which meant there were tons of kids and only one adult only area that I was aware of which was always full. (The casino even had children roaming through and lingering around) Normally that wouldnt bother me so much but young kids were unsupervised all over the ship and were VERY rude. They would make videos in the stairwell and then get mad when you walked down the steps. They would cut you in food lines to catch up to their other siblings. They took up all of the hottubs and pools during the day so you couldnt swim. The pools were supposed to stay open until midnight and the crew would close almost every night by 9pm. The last port we decided to stay on the ship and enjoy the pools since everyone would be off at excursions and low and behold they were closed. I had my last straw after a Pixel crew member was rude to us while playing cards. I went to Guest Services to talk to someone about my complaints and concerns and basically was told to deal with it. There were a few things out of their control which I understand but they should enforce better supervision of children. I would never let my 6 year old roam around a boat that large by himself. I was not the only one complaining about the rude children either. It seemed to be an issue on our cruise. Also I think the pools constantly being closed down with 4000 people on a boat was ridiculous. He gave no explanation just that they have to clean it. They had it closed our whole last day at sea and only started to fill it up at night when we started back up the river toward New Orleans. Im not sure I will cruise with Carnival again. The Guest Services did not feel like there was an issue with any of my complaint so maybe I am just not meant to cruise. DONT CRUISE DURING SPRING BREAK FOR A HONEYMOON! Read Less

We went on this cruise with 85 new and old friends. We first started cruising with this group in 1998. Since then the quality of the cruise has gone down a lot! The food and service used to be wonderful. The food on the Carnival Dream was awful. Poorly cooked, never hot and very repetitive. The quality was terrible. We had a balcony suite at the very back of the ship because we were told they were bigger. It was bigger, but it was filthy. Even after they washed it (5 days in) it was still not useable. The furniture and the glass railing weren't washed so we couldn't sit down and see out and enjoy the view. The wait times in the Dining Room was terrible. We waited one night over 50 minutes between our appetizer and main course so we had to skip the dessert and coffee or we wouldn't have made the show. Most nights the food came lukewarm at best because it sat around waiting to be served to us. Carnival has cut back a lot on the number of wait staff they have. The cabin was clean, but very dated. The couch was worn and the leather needed washing. The paint was peeling off of the lamps. The main shows in the Encore Lounge were very good. Embarkation was easy and went well. But it was raining when we embarked so finding a seat to have our lunch was next to impossible because everyone was trying to crowd into a sheltered area. The pools were very clean and nice to swim in. Carnival totally destroyed my luggage on disembarkation so now I have to go thru their hoops to get a claim reviewed. I had to ask them to wrap my suitcase in duct tape so I could get my mangled luggage onto our flight home. They didn't seem to care that my luggage was beyond repair and put on the form "broken zipper" The whole end panel was totally ripped off! And in fact the zippers worked! Overall, Carnival has slipped below the standards we expect in cruising and we won't be sailing with them again. We went on a 21 day cruise in January with Holland America and they will be our cruise line from now on. Just about everyone in our group of 85 were disappointed with the food and service. Read Less

Not sure were all the negative comments are, but this has got to be one of the best vacations I have been on. Ship was spotless, people always cleaning every were you went, keeping up with maintenance, painting etc... Server was top notch, people remembered my name from the FIRST DAY, and continued on throughout the trip. Even in the different sections they all worked would still remember you. Food was top notch, only ate at the buffet once, I was not impressed but the MDR food was GREAT, service was awesome, lasted about an hour and a half...i'm on vacation do not need to be anywhere! Guys burgers and the Mexican taco bar AWESOME. Cant say enough about the food. Casino was fun, just very smokey...to be expected from a CASINO! Activities were great, the Flying Scotsman was AMAZING, I work in the service industry and he is crazy good at his job! Its vacation and reasonable one at that...if your looking for perfect sail on princess. If your looking for a relaxed party type atmosphere this is for you. Met so many amazing people along the way. Looking forward to sailing with Carnival again very soon! Read Less

We chose this cruise for the schedule, the destination ports, and the departure port (we had Southwest miles we could use to fly to a Southwest destination, so we used them to get to New Orleans) When you think of how well you eat on the ship, the quality of the shows each evening (the performers and special effects were amazing!), the various activities available, and the incredible ports we were able to visit without having to unpack and pack again and again, this cruise was an incredible deal. We were so pampered from beginning to end! We did an independent tour to Tulum from Cozumel, a cruise shore excursion to Caye Caulker to go snorkeling from Belize, and an independent tour and snorkeling on Roatan. All fantastic! It was just two of us, husband and wife, aged 55, taking our first cruise. Based on our experiences on this cruise, I'm sure we will cruise again. Read Less

1) because my brother and his wife have never cruised before. 2) the price 3) where it was going. 4) because my brother and his wife still like to party. Carnival seems more like a party type atmosphere. The staff was wonderful from our room steward Wayan to our dinner stall Dede, Ignatius, and Polett. to the staff in cloud-9. spent the day in New Orleans before embarkation. Embarkation went very smoothly ( great job) our cabin 7203 is classified interior, but has a window. It is interior with a picture(walkway view). It was our highest level yet. and a good choice. they do sell out fast. we enjoyed most of our dinning I was disappointed in the main buffet, but like the other 3 buffet or was it 4? guy burgers was very good, the pasta bella was not a buffet, but a sit down where you place an order and drop it off at the head of serving line and then go sit down and they deliver it piping hot as you ordered. a don't miss if you travel on the Dream. Main dinning room was very good. the chef's table was an outstanding experience. It di cost extra, but we thought it well worth it. the shows in the encore lounge were to mush like Vegas style and loud. we like more Broadway style performances. disembarkation went very smooth also. My wife and I enjoyed the cruise just because you get away and dnjoy people waiting on you. I enjoy Princess cruise better just because of the entertainment. I thought the dream had a couple of excellent programs. Flick was fantastic. One of the best performances I have seen. Rock America was also good. Great entertainment. I guess I was looking for more in a couple of weeks of cruising. But every night the did have comics. The comics were good but get tried of using the F word to get a laugh. They did a great job on the PG segment but do we have to have comics every night!!! The housekeeping staff were fantastic. Always had your room in great shape. I had two problems and when I reported them they were taken care of very quickly. Same with the food staff. They were excellent. The food was very good. I really enjoyed eating each night in the restaurant. Everyone was so helpful and always working to make the people happy. I was very happy with this cruise other than what I mentioned at first.
