My parents booked this cruise as a gift to me for my 22nd birthday , (07/14) . From the second I got there , I was treated far better than any all inclusive resort in Cancun or Punta Cana . I had a studio room , the studio is small but full of everything u need . Shower , toilet , sink , very comfortable bed , closet , tv , and these party lights installed all throughout our he room which really changed the mood of the whole trip . The buffet food at the restaurant was okay , however the exclusive restaurant were out of this world . Le bistro, was superb , the Manhattan was great , moderno had amazing meats . The drinks were made to perfection . Nothing watered down, all drinks premium and perfect with the alcohol . The amount of friends I made on this cruise is unreal . Norwegian does everything they can to make it as easy as possible to have a good time . If you are early 20s or late teens , definitely book a cruise with Norwegian because they give you everything you need , full of activities , you just have to make the best and most fun of it . The party we were going with chose this cruise. I liked the free style dining package and the fact that you didn't have to get dressed up for formal nights. I was not overly pleased with the dining in the two main dining rooms. The service was slow, the food was just okay and the coffee in the morning was not hot. Also I was not happy with the pool on the ship. It was way to small for 5,000 people on board and also, there was not enough chairs to accommodate everyone. They had plenty of activities to do and getting on and off the ship was easy. I didn't like the fact that every time I called housekeeping I was charged for it. The ship was very nice and clean and the service people were great. I had a great time and I would go with this cruise line again. Read Less

This cruise experience was absolutely amazing. We had a very good time. The food was tremendous at every single complimentary restaurant. The buffet had so many different options. The shows offered were also very entertaining and well put together. The crew on board was so outgoing and fun. They all made this first time experience far better. Shout out to the washy-washy guy. I didn’t meet a single staff member that was rude or lazy. The activities onboard such as the water slides were thrilling and fun for the whole family. The private island Norwegian has is also very relaxing and beautiful. The cruise is for people of all ages. Seniors, couples, large families, new borns. The cabin was very modern and had a beautiful view through the balcony. It was a bit small like you would expect but it was still really nice. Overall we had an amazing experience with NCL and definetly look forward to sailing with them again. Read Less

We have been using NCL for almost a decade, even had our wedding on Breakaway in 2015, but Escape is same class ship tuned down on interior design. Ship is simple design with no personally, practical floating hotel. We stayed in balcony room with a baby and toddler and it was OK, steward was OK, always busy and barely have time to anyone to talk. Management of the ship was an amazing crew, and anyone under was complete mess. Waiters in restaurants don't know what they doing and would screw up any simple order. Food in restaurants was OK, but buffet food is awful, minimum choices, a lot of cheap meat, no seafood or even NCL signature Norwegian lox. Specialties restaurant's food was amazing, and pricey and will make your wallet cry! In 14 days cruise we had only 2 free show After Midnight, Brat Pack, second one did not made any sense. Choir of Man show, is paid show with prefix dinner setting, was OK. We had one stop cancel due to 2 heliocopter lifts from the ship first two days with no explanation, and remaining stops were simple beach destinations. We end up spending more time on the ship due to cancelled stop, and there is nothing to do there. Kids sevice is ok for 3+ and for baby you have to pay $20 for 1 hour 50 min selected slot time. Overall experience of this cruise, is that NCL is cutting their cost by taking quality out of scope in any possible way they can. NCL becoming low class, no frills cruise line. Based off our last 14 day cruise, we are not coming back with NCL to cruise and will be looking for more classy company to cruise with. Read Less

Had such a great time everyone that worked on the ship made you feel welcomed and the activities and entertainment was amazing. They really cratered to all your needs. I went on this cruise for my daughters sweet 16 and she had the time of her life! They even sang happy birthday to her in one of their restaurants the “Manhattan Room “which had an amazing live band and the food out of this world ... I loved my ocean view room which was on deck 13 it was spacious and my housekeeper was the nicest and sweetest man ever. Also there private island in the Bahamas was gorgeous and it was a non stop party everyday that we were on the cruise. My wife and I have taken over 20 cruises, with 6 times on the NCL Breakaway and 3 times on the NCL Gem. And this was our second time on the NCL Escape so we knew what the facilities and service should be. We were not disappointed. First let me explain that my wife is a travel agent and was on this cruise as a training exercise offered by NCL to learn of the new offerings coming in the future (ships, locations, prices). This gave her a great price but left us without extra perks and room choice. We bought into the additional dining plan because I just couldn't imagine being so close to Moderno and not sitting in (we booked it twice). We also tried Teppanyaki for the first time and were both impressed with the amount and quality of the food. Taste and Savor and O'Sheehan's were exactly as expected from previous sittings. Let me also say this, I give you 3 strikes and then you are out. Several years ago the Manhattan Room struck out and is off my list. The training seminar had scheduled a group dinner for the last night in the Manhattan Room so I went along with the program not expecting much. Some people may expect that a group like this would get special attention, 30 + travel agents with the local district manager in charge, no so. They had a full room of people to take care of not just us but that's right. We were jammed in a little too tight at the tables and some services were skipped. The dinner was scheduled early when there is a lot of noise, kids & babies you know. The 3 main dining rooms offer the exact same menu from the same kitchen so I usually prefer to use Taste or Savor. And we had a great time at the Halloween Party & costume competition. Some advice for all: there are times you may be approached by the staff to resolve a problem with your actions, be sure not to argue or become belligerent just listen and respond appropriately. There was a group of 5 people put-off the ship in Bermuda, no refund, no further travel plans, on their own. Not for breaking the "no-smoking on the balcony safety rule" but for creating an issue with the staff I love to cruise, I go to "PARTY", I research the trip before booking, I use a travel agent (she told me I had to), and I tip with cash. I am booked on the NCL Gem in March and I can't wait. Read Less

My best friend and I booked this cruise super last minute. We toyed with the idea of going on a cruise for sometime, however, hadn't actually booked anything till maybe a month before our embarkation date. As a first time cruiser- I had my hesitations, not going to lie! I was afraid of being sea sick and stuck on a boat with thousands of people and kids and norovirus! Now looking back, I cannot believe I questioned going on a cruise at all! Overall, this was truly an epic trip. I cannot wait to cruise again on the Escape for Halloween 2019! Dining- I did not get the specialty dining package- somewhat of a regret, however the dining that is included is perfectly adequate for the average person. My favorite dessert was the honey creme brûlée at Savor. The molten lava cake was also a hit. Service- Exceptional! From our steward to the entire crew, we experienced excellent service. Everyone went out of their way to make this trip a great experience. Special shout out to Mandi our cruise director! Entertainment- Loved the nightly themed parties. Loved Mandi the cruise director. Loved the shows. Take me back! Shore excursions- Only did the cave/aquarium/zoo excursion- but it was definitely worth it. Our tour guide driving to the caves was resourceful, and our tour guide at the excursion itself was a riot. Read Less

The ship was ENORMOUS with a HUGE variety of activities to choose from each and every day whether at sea, or in port. The entire staff was MORE than accommodating and super helpful! Our balcony cabin was quite spacious for us 2 throughout the entire trip. Our room steward Casanito was on top of his game and we NEVER had to ask for our room to be made up. He was always one step ahead and always provided us whatever we needed when asked. He, as well as ALL of the staff were FILLED with knowledge and tips as to what we 'MUST SEE & DO' both onboard and in port! ALL of the shows were beyond amazing, but the 2 that left a lasting impression were, Choir of Man, and Off The Record. Choir of Man, was DEFINITELY a Broadway level show, with the music, and interaction with the crowd! Well worth the money to me! Off The Record was just as good as I am an 80's baby, ALL of the music and flashbacks to the movies that i grew up with were right up my alley and we loved EVERY MINUTE OF IT! The incredible variety of dining choices on board surely fulfilled the palate of each member of my 40 person group that traveled together. We never left hungry and were very excited to grab a midnight snack from the buffet each night! This was our first cruise ever and to visit one island (Bermuda) for 3 days, was absolutely lovely. It was the perfect amount of time to explore the island and not be bored! Above all else, my boyfriend of 6 years, proposed to me in front of out friends at dinner at Teppanyaki on 10/1/18!! It was absolutely a DREAM COME TRUE!! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect proposal and the many congratulations/well wishes we received from the crew and staff onboard The Norwegian Escape! We can't wait to start saving and to plan for our next cruise!! Thank you to every memeber of the team that made our first cruise experience, quite an unforgettable trip that we still reminisce about on a weekly basis!! WE LOVE NORWEGIAN!! Read Less

I joined in with the solo cruisers and met some very nice fun people to eat with, hang out and dance with, and attend shows with. The entertainment was awesome and I can't remember ever having as much fun as with this cruise. The personnel were remarkably friendly and eager to serve. My only regret was that it had to end. The ship was well maintained and the food was good. Lots of choices in the Main Dining Rooms as well as in the buffet area. The bars offered a variety of music and drinks and the personnel that led the game shows were amazing dancers and friendly while teaching the guests to dance. In spite of rainy weather and having to skip one port the extra day at sea was fun. I would not hesitate to sail on Norwegian again. In fact, I can hardly wait for my next adventure. Read Less

I had gone on cruises before, but never to these ports nor on this shop. I thought it would be a different experience and it was. The accommodations, food, drinks , dining and entertaining were good. I along with some other senior citizens were concerned that there was not a quiet place, unless we missed it, that we could sit without constant noise. I thought the drink package , complimentary dinners and shows were an excellent idea , it allowed me to project my onboard spending. I especially like the idea that the gratituities for the ship employees were automatically deducted from the designated onboard credit card because often times when left to be paid in cash it diesn’t happen. I would prefer external doors opened automatic, I’m a little OCD, touching the sensor was somewhat trying for me, but I managed, probably used a container of sanitizer a day. Read Less

We went on this ship for a family wedding. When the ship was diverted because of the weather the Customer Service Rep refused to help in any way. No wedding for the Bride and Groom or the 21 people they brought on the boat with them! Exteamly poor customer relations. The ship is also very poor handicap accessible. They charge a lot for a handicap room and the bathrooms throughout the ship designated for handicapped were always locked. The regular rooms doorways were too small to fit a small walker through and the narrow hallways to the rooms constantly had the housekeeping staffs carts blocking access. We were very disappointed in the way the ship handled the reroute, there were many possibilities to give their passengers a worthwhile trip instead of just floating on the water with no possibility of any port visits. The one stop the ship did make I was unable to get off the ship die to my handicap so I was stuck on the ship for 7 days. Read Less

I have only experienced NCL on the cruises I have been on. The reason I keep booking with NCL is the on board staff. I cannot praise the stewards and eateries staff enough. Everyone is so friendly and courteous...always above and beyond. My only issue with this cruise to no where is just that...we went no where. This was my Honeymoon AND birthday celebration and was a huge disappointment. The embarkation took WAY too long. The hurricane caused the itinerary to be changed and that’s fine. The safety of the staff and passengers was most important. Port Canaveral was horrible. Great Stirrup Cay was a bust. We were only on shore 3 hours before an injury caused our party to have to go back to the ship. It was then decided last minute that we would not be sailing to Nassau but returning to New York. Before we sailed it was announced by 2 other cruise lines that passengers were being refunded some of their money AND being provided with a discount on a future cruise among other incentives. It’s rather disappointing that NCL offered nothing at all to their passengers. With all the money out party spent for 3 cabins you would think NCL would have done something for EVERYONE on board. The only announcement we saw when we returned home was that they were increasing fares starting in October. I think I may have to book with a cruise line that cares about their passengers and not their pockets. Read Less

Planned to go to Bermuda for a high school reunion but we were diverted because of the hurricane. We made the most of it because the sun was shining everyday and our fun times were at the district brew house. The piano man was great but even better was our server curly. Got our drinks and made us laugh. He was a good comedian. Our cabin was a mini suite and the bathroom was really nice, double sinks, big shower but the room was not bigger than a regular room. Not really worth the extra money. For 4000 plus passengers ncl really needs bigger pools. Food was good, drinks were also good. Service is always good. Didn’t get to see much of the entertainment since you needed to make reservations early. But the brat pack show was excellent!! I only got off at the private island but it was very hot and couldn’t find chairs so after a dip in the ocean I went back to the almost empty ship and had the pool almost to my self , also People still put towels out very early and I never saw any towels removed even after they were marked I always travel on ncl but like the smaller ships much better. All in all nothing to much to complain about We had a good time and I can’t wait till January for my next cruise on the dawn Read Less

Yes, you have specialty entertainment which you have to pay for. The Escape is huge but has a small pool, way to small for that many people. It has a HUGE water park and zip line which is great for families but I travel with friends and only need to get to the pool, which we couldn't. My last three cruises were with NCL but my next one will be with a different cruise line. My balcony room was SMALL. I think it was about the same size as my last one without a window. I went on this cruise with my wife and two children (3yo and 5yo) with many of her family members to celebrate my in laws 50th wedding anniversary. This was my first time sailing with Norwegian. I have been on several other cruises with Carnival, Disney and Royal Caribbean. The good about this ship/experience: There is plenty of variety in terms of things to do, notably restaurants and bars/lounges. Many are "extra," but the food was overall very good in all the ones we tried. The food was comparable to other cruises I have tried. The ship is very clean. The kids/youth services are excellent, better in my opinion than what I saw on the Disney cruise we took in Oct. My kids had a blast. The not so good: The ship feels VERY overcrowded. I felt like most of the ship was staterooms. There is as much pool/common space as other ships I have been on but way more people. This adds to the feeling of being overrun at times, especially in the pool areas, and especially during sailing days; also, while the service is good and friendly, there is lacking that extra bit of customer service I have experienced on other cruises I have been on. No one was ever rude or anything, but seldom did anyone do anything extraordinary either. Also felt like I was always trying to be upsold (restaurants, water, photos, etc), but no more than all the other cruises I suppose. In summary: Great big beautiful, clean ship; great amenities; excellent youth services/staff; crowded, crowded, crowded; dining service good not great. Read Less

The only negative comment i would make is they no longer have straws on board because they are saving the ocean. That's great but they still use plastic cups and if your not using plastic straws anymore then use paper ones like they did in Bermuda. There is so much to do on this ship for the kids. Taste - main dining area day 2: My scrambled eggs and cheese were cold and they forgot my toast. Oddly they brought a gravy boat of shredded cheese rather than cooking it in my scrambled eggs. Manager, Moises, sent some wine and sweet treats to our room to apologize. Very classy and we appreciated it. Spa Zero spa shoes Zero lockers Zero access to thermal spa during appt Coed relaxation rooms There was some sort of detox seminar/tours to sell a service which is fine except that they hold it in the the relaxation room which isnt very relaxing for those of us trying to relax. Services were nice but overpriced for lack of additional amenities (like Thermal Spa usage with appt) Lots of upselling after appt with prices excessive for products. Amazon is much better for products over ship pricing. Sky bar has most of the late night activities but it's in n the middle of the casino so the smoke made me leave immediately. Most of the staff seemed very confused when asking where something was on the ship. So much so that after asking 3 people for directions where the sky lounge was, we never located it and missed the singles meet and greet. Not enough chairs on the ship so you have to wake up at the crack of dawn to claim your chairs. Vibe only allows for 100 people and though it has nice chairs, it only has a hot tub and no pool. All in all I'd rank the trip 4/5. Btw, our steward was Harvey and he was amazing. Read Less

This was the worst cruise I have ever been on. I've never been on a Norwegian cruise before and this made me realize why I've never done one. My family normally does Royal Caribbean or Carnival (which is rare). We travel together every year between cruises or all inclusive. This cruise was filled with quite a few people that this was their first cruise. For the people who have been on cruises before we had felt there was many times the crew was disrespectful and the service in certain restaurants was horrible This cruise made me second guess going on another Norwegian cruise. For a cruise ship that large you would think they would know how to use the space properly... wrong. The venue for their main shows barely held half the passengers and they didn't have enough showings for either shows. Plus that venue could have been used for activities that were high demanding yet they used the atrium and it was horrible. The crew: Where do I begin. How about the fact that most of them could use an attitude adjustment. I'm not sure how they think that being disrespectful toward paying guest is going to make guest want to come back. It was every crew member but a few and that left quite a negative feeling within the group of people I traveled with especially because this was my boyfriends first cruise. Dining: It was good for the most part. Service seem to be slow in certain places but the only place I would not recommend is O'Sheehan's because the service was horrible, the crew there come across rude and don't listen, and depending on what you order the food isn't that great. The buffet was amazing and always had something good to eat. Specialty Dining: I fell in love would each restaurant I went to. I had the 3 specialty dinning package. I went to Le Bistro French Restaurant, Cagney's Steakhouse (American Steakhouse), and Moderno Churrascraria (Brazilian Steakhouse). I also did go to Margaritaville as well. All 4 places are amazing and would highly recommend each one of them. All in all the cruise had its ups and downs but have left me not wanting to go back on Norwegian anytime soon. I'll stick to Royal Caribbean. Read Less

First let me start off by saying that we have been on six cruises all on Norwegian and always have had a blast! We will always cruise with NCL and no other cruise line. We chose the Escape to Bermuda out of New York because there is nothing better than being from the Northeast and leaving out of NYC. We also chose the Escape to Bermuda because we have done the identical cruise to Bermuda on the Escape's sister ship the Breakaway and enjoyed it immensely!! Embarkation in NYC was easy we are Silver Latitudes members so we chose to check in at the terminal at 9:30 we went through security, checked in, and waited for around a hour and a half and then they began embarking the ship around 11:30. They're was 11 of us and it wasn't one of those hectic group trips where everyone is trying to do everything together we would pick one or two things a day that we wanted to do together as a group and let everyone do their thing. The ships layout was great while they're is over 4,2000 passenger onboard there was never really a crowed public area. I will say however the elevators were pretty jam packed everyday. But I myself don't mind taking the stairs. They're are so many bars, lounges, and beach loungers that everyone feels like they have a place to go. We had a mini suite and let me tell you that upgrade from a balcony stateroom makes a difference in the the amount of space you have in your room! Our stateroom steward was really good he made sure that we has clean towels, replaced our shampoo and body wash dispenser, and had ice in our bucket. He always stopped us in the hall and asked us how are day was going and what we did that day. The food in the dining rooms, Osheehan's, Garden Cafe was very good. I will say the service in the dining rooms was a tad slow but I guess thats expected when they're are 11 of us and are all ordering multiple appetizers and entrees. Mondernos the Brazilian Steakhouse was phenomenal like always. From the salad bar to all the meats you always leave there so full. There are plenty of activities onboard from trivia, bingo, Deal or No Deal, Water Slides and sports complex. Don't get me started with the ropes course it was awesome. I highly recommend it!! There is no lack of Night Life on the Norwegian Escape. From the nightly shows in the theater to the Headliners Comedy Club to the nightly game shows and themed parties. The game shows are always laugh out loud funny from Newlywed Not So Newlywed to Ultimate Dance Clash. ( Tip: Get to its atrium early for seats for the shows). The parties were great the cruise director staff and Cruise Director and assistant were very energetic and got the parties started. We loved the Norwegians Night Out party, 80s party and the best party on the high seas the Glow Party!! Bermuda is my favorite port the locals are very friendly and are proud of being from the island. The pink sand beach of Horseshoe Bay are gorgeous and Hamilton has excellent shopping. Royal Dockyard is the best its a small town and the shops, restaurants and beach are not to be missed. Back onboard the staff onboard was excellent. Alvin Oliva was our cruise director and he is the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time) we've had him now for three cruises in a row! He is very visible around the ship and is always walking around talking to the guests. He is has a genuine personality and is very funny! It wouldn't feel the same now cruising with another CD. One member of the cruise director staff Claudius was excellent. He was funny, energetic, and he loved the group we were traveling with. NCL if your reading this this man deserves a promotion. Overall i have love every cruise I have been on and this one ranks right up there with all of them its hard to chose my favorite cruise! Read Less

The studio lounge was nice for a quick drink or snack and always clean. Embarkation went smoothly and didn't take too long. All in all I found that all of the food was delicious. I enjoyed the food at all of the venues offered. The service at the specialty restaurants although a bit slow at times (we had a large group) was excellent. The officers mingled with the guests which was very.nice. I found everything very clean. Overall I truly enjoyed the cruise. My only complaints: The internet service was horrible and the "internet manager" was rude. Everyone else on staff was nice and polite. The shampoo and body wash in the cabin are not good quality products. The pool is very small for a ship of this size and I was never able to use it. Disembarkation was a nightmare. (it was enough to make me not want to cruise on a ship of this size again) Read Less

From time we departed everything was excellent e,g the staff, food, entertainment, the facilities clean. Anything we needed was in our figure tip. This was my first in the Caribbean and definitely we going to do again. The sailings was so smooth we didn’t know feel we were at sea. They had so much to do alll day and night. The shows were very nice, the live musician either at the pool or dinner night were great. The Restaurant services and the buffet guys were wonderful. Every question you had at customer service counters were very helpful. The daily schedule to do things were delivered in your cabin the night before. I did talk to parents with young children they loved it so much things for the kids to do. Some kids didn’t want to leave the ship when to land. Places we visited we were well informed. Cheers! See you soon! Read Less

First time cruiser. The Escape is a huge ship but not crowded by any means. There was soo much to do and the staff was very courteous to everyone. First stop was Falmouth, the city outside the gate is in bad shape, the people are poor but we did a food tour and our guides were awsome ( Steve and Sherilee ) We liked it very much, they gave us a tase of Jamaica with a big bite of history. The rest of the stops Great Stirrup Cay, Cayman Islands (with the Brewry and distillery tour) were super awesome as well. We will cruise Norwegian again and again. The ship is constantly cleaned and sanitized daily to the point if you get sick its your own fault for not washing your hands. From the bars to the shows there was soo much to do! Food options were very good and adults only pool, spa, hot tubs and lounge area were a great escape from younger kids yelling and playing. The H2O was fabulous and a wonderful space to relax with the waves and wind! Read Less

This was our first cruise aboard any cruise line and we were invited to join our friends who have had previous cruise experience. From the very first moment on board on day one we were amazed. The ship itself was in a constant state of cleanliness and readiness. All of the staff, no matter what their position on the crew were wonderfully receptive and friendly. We travelled with an all adult party with 6 others and planned for only one shore excursion in Falmouth Jamaica. We enjoyed our first cruise experience by booking a balcony suite and we were both amazed at how large our cabin suite was. Admittedly, we didn't spend a great deal in our cabin but, when we were there we were very, very comfortable. Waking up in the morning and having coffee together on the balcony at sea or as we pulled into a port of call was like a dream come true. And the views at sea at sunset or in the evening while at sea were fantastic. Our cabin steward was the absolute best! She provided such great service for us the entire cruise and kept our room tidy and provided turn down service every evening. We opted for the ultimate beverage package as well as the dining upgrade and enjoyed dining at LeBistro, Cagney's Steakhouse and LaCucina. All three restaurants were exquisite and the staff were so very accomodating. Even without a dining upgrade, cruisers can enjoy some of the best food from a wide variety of cuisines. All of the dining areas were kept in a constant state of cleanliness and the wait staff were so attentive. The various bars and taverns on board were fantastic and again the staff were very responsive, friendly and hard working. The variety shows and entertainment onboard, the casino and the water activities such as the pools and waterslides were absolutely wonderful. Our trip included some slight inclement weather however, that didn't seem to stop both novice and experienced cruisers from taking advantage of those water activity areas. Along with our cruise package, we opted for the addition of onboard spa privileges and while we didn't visit the spa daily, when we were there we were completely pampered. The spa services offered were outstanding to include our favorite area, the quiet area on sauna beds that overlooked the bow (front) of the ship with a breathtaking view both at sea or in port. The spa also offered various steam, sauna, salt and snow rooms and we took advantage of all of the aforementioned as a way to relax. A complimentary tea and infused water bar along with locker rooms with showers, fresh towels and robes complete the main spa area. While we didn't book any spa treatments onboard, their offering include haircuts and shaves for men as well as massage, pedicures and manicures and many other services. Adjacent to the spa was a fully equipped gym with both free weights and machines for resistance training. Treadmills and other cardio machines were readily available with fantastic views along the Starboard (right) side of the ship. All of the ports of call offered something different for everyone. And while we opted out of our shore excursion (water tubing) in Falmouth Jamaica due to weather, we enjoyed our time there shopping. We would recommend to future cruisers to boo excursions ahead of time because these activities do fill up quickly. And while many local excursions are offered aside from NCL, there is no guarantee that they will get you back to the port in time to make ships movement. Missing your ship can be expensive and will ruin your vacation. Our favorite excursion/port call was the wonderful beach party that was held for us by NCL on their private Island the Great Stirrup Cay. The crew offloaded food and beverages and provided a great day at the beach with music, food and plenty to drink. Probably the best party we've ever been to! On our last day of the cruise, we opted to take part in the easy walk off and carry our bags ourselves to the pier. This was really no big deal and while it took some time in line, we had plenty of time to get to the airport via Uber. Overall, we really enjoyed our vacation and we have already purchased CruiseNext credits toward a cruise next year with friends again. For first time cruisers we offer this advice: Be patient - remember that you are on a ship with thousands of people. Wait your turn and be polite. You are leaving the hustle and bustle of your life to relax. Try to remember that. Bring about $100 extra cash in $5 bill increments and tip the staff that stand out the most. Your crew will bend over backwards for you. Say please and thank you and please don't be rude, these folks work very hard. Plan your excursions early, they fill up quickly. If you are going to the Great Stirrup Cay, book your cabana rental day one of your cruise if you can. Bring sunscreen and respect the sun. You are traveling in a different hemisphere and the sun exposure here is more intense than perhaps where you live. Pace yourself with alcohol if you drink. There's plenty on board and they won't run out. Drink one for one water to alcoholic beverage, you'll thank me later. Read Less
