What is the biggest Carnival ship?

Carnival Vista (Photo: Carnival)

Both coming in at 133,500 tons and measuring 1,055 feet in length, Carnival Vista and Carnival Horizon share status as the cruise line's largest ships. However, Carnival Vista has a slightly larger passenger occupancy at 3,960, compared to Carnival Vista's 3,936. Both ships boast an abundance of entertainment options like IMAX movie theaters, ropes courses and onboard breweries.

What is the biggest Royal Caribbean ship?

Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas isn't just the cruise line's biggest ship at 230,000 tons with a length of 1,188 feet; it's the biggest cruise ship currently sailing the high seas. Symphony of the Seas carries 5,535 passengers at double occupancy and 6,870 at maximum capacity. It features a huge number of activity and dining options that are particularly well-suited to families, including glow-in-the-dark laser tag, an escape room, a boardwalk-style hot dog stand, a free Mexican eatery and a sweet shop that offers everything from cupcakes and bulk candy to ice cream sundaes.

What is the biggest Norwegian ship?

Norwegian Bliss (Photo: Norwegian Cruise Line)

At 167,800 tons and 1,082 feet in length, Norwegian Bliss -- which can accommodate 4,004 passengers at double occupancy and a maximum of 4,905 passengers -- is the largest cruise ship in Norwegian Cruise Line's fleet. It has a distinctly different vibe than most ships its size, in part due to its massive upper deck observation lounge, where passengers can indulge in hours of quiet relaxation. Beyond the ship's more sophisticated, mellow spaces, it also features go-karts, water slides and lots of other activities for kids and adults alike to explore.

What is the largest Princess ship?

Though they don't rival cruising's newest ships in size or amenities, Royal Princess and Regal Princess are Princess Cruises' largest ships. The 141,000-ton, 1,083-foot-long ships were refurbished in 2016 and 2017, respectively, and now boast a more modern design while still maintaining a traditional cruise feel. The ships share many of the same amenities and activities, like the SkyWalk and Chef's Table Lumiere restaurant. Royal Princess can accommodate more passengers than Regal Princess, however -- 3,600 to Regal's 3,560.

What is the largest Disney ship?

Disney Fantasy (Photo: Disney)

Disney Cruise Line ships aren't exactly known for their size, but Disney Fantasy is the line's largest ship, measuring 130,000 tons and 1,115 feet in length. With a double occupancy of 2,500 passengers (4,000 at maximum capacity), it's still among the largest cruise ships in the world. Disney Fantasy is the youngest in the cruise line's small fleet of four ships, and as expected, it features a top-notch kids' club and lots of family-oriented activities like a "Pirates in the Caribbean" deck party and character meet-and-greets, while still maintaining a sophisticated and relaxing air that adults will appreciate.

What is the biggest MSC ship?

At 171,598 tons and 1,036 feet long, MSC Meraviglia is the fifth-largest cruise ship in the world and the largest for MSC Cruises. It can house 4,475 passengers at double occupancy and has a maximum passenger capacity of more than 5,000. The ship boasts impressive amenities and activities, including a Cirque du Soleil at sea. Unlike the line's other ships, it's geared toward North Americans, with English spoken as the primary language onboard. Meraviglia also features the line's first American-style steakhouse. There are plenty of options for cruisers among the restaurants, bars, lounges, theater shows and pool areas onboard.

What is the biggest Celebrity ship?

Celebrity Cruises' largest ship is also its most unique and certainly its most contemporary. 129,500-ton, 1,004-foot-long Celebrity Edge doesn't compare in size to cruising's behemoths, but it does offer innovative accommodations and amenities for as many as 2,918 passengers. It has outside cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows that can convert to traditional balconies at the push of a button, sophisticated bars that serve high-end craft cocktails, more than 15 dining venues, a high-tech theater and several unique lounge spaces -- including Eden, which boasts a design based on the Fibonacci Sequence.

What is the biggest Holland America ship?

Holland America welcomed its largest ships -- Koningsdam and Nieuw Statendam -- when it debuted the Pinnacle Class in 2016. Each is 99,500 tons, measures 975 feet in length and can accommodate 2,650 passengers. Though they are the cruise line's largest ships to date, they are still on the small side compared to today's mega-ships. However, their smaller size allows for the traditional cruise experience Holland America is known for without sacrificing contemporary touches like the beautiful double-deck lido deck with a glass roof, a large surround-screen theater and the line's first family cabins.
