Q. Many of the Celebrity promotions available in the U.S. are not offered to international cruisers. Does Celebrity plan to extend its promotions to cruisers outside of the U.S.?
A. With Celebrity's "Go Big, Go Better, Go Best" offer, non-U.S. residents will receive all of the same perks and benefits when booking a cruise. As of September 2015, "Go Big, Go Better, Go Best" will become a global pricing practice, and will incorporate sailings in the U.K. and Australia.
Q. How can solo travelers take advantage of Celebrity's "Go Big, Go Better, Go Best" promotion? Will they have to pay double for perks upgrades?
A. Although solo travelers pay double the standard cabin fare, they will not have to pay the upgrade upcharge twice to access additional perks (like beverage or Internet packages) with the "Go Big, Go Better, Go Best" promotion, which is based on a double-occupancy booking. In fact, they'll receive double the onboard credit ($300 per solo traveler, compared to the standard $150 per person in a double-occupancy cabin), should they choose that option.
Q. Some cruisers are concerned that Celebrity has shifted its target demographic. Is it true that Celebrity is now pursuing younger cruisers and families?
A. Celebrity's goal is to connect consumers of all ages. For the brand, "modern luxury" is about mindset, not necessarily an age. All passengers are welcomed, regardless of age.
Q. When first introduced, Luminae (Celebrity's Suite Class restaurant) advertised ship menus with locally sourced items. Will Celebrity implement this concept for future sailings?
A. Yes. As Celebrity's ships travel to new and interesting parts of the world, locally sourced food items will be incorporated into the Luminae menu, which will feature a new daily menu for two full weeks.
Q. Does Celebrity have any plans to enhance entertainment in the main theater, or in the smaller lounges, onboard?
A. Celebrity is in the process of launching 18 new shows in an 18-month time frame. So chances are you'll see something new on your next Celebrity sailing!
Q. Will Celebrity offer better Internet packages in the future, similar to those onboard the renovated Royal Caribbean vessels?
A. With cruisers' growing need to stay connected, Celebrity is exploring new technology options to enhance users' onboard experience at an affordable rate. The cruise line is looking into options already implemented onboard sister cruise line Royal Caribbean's Oasis-class and Quantum-class ships.
Q. What is the vision for Celebrity over the next three to five years?
A. On top of adding new experiences and destinations to its itineraries, Celebrity plans to refresh its marketing (starting with the "Go Big, Go Better, Go Best" promotion), improve cruisers' digital and technological experience onboard and to design and launch the new Edge Class of ships.
