We choose this cruise to board the Oasis of the Seas for the first time. My wife and I went as we normally do, by ourselves. We are in our late 60's but we dance, have fun and use the pools, jog, run and eat. Embarkation was smooth and fast, very organized. Debarkation was even faster, about 10 minutes to exit the terminal from start to finish, could not believe it. This ship is very large yet it was very easy to navigate all areas. The key is to use the promenade (deck 5). Elevators are at both ends and quite a few they are. Remember that in many areas the food is free even if it looks expensive. Park Central (deck 8), just a great place to spend time to relax, get a great roast beef sandwich, fruit cups, salads and excellent soups. The Solarium was another spot to eat. But the Windjammer is the venue for eating most of the time. On deck 5 is the promenade and the jogging track. Go past the Boardwalk (here is the carousel) and the Aqua Theater. The promenade is the center of everything, from bars to music to 24hrs cafe, pizza. At Sorrentos they serve pizza with all the ingredients you want added, The entertainment was fabulous. Many typical activities and there's the Grand Parade with the Dreamworks animated characters. The food was the highlight since Royal Caribbean has greatly improved their menu, especially breakfast. Quality, presentation, and taste was simply great. Service better than ever. Royal Caribbean has taken suggestions and made changes and the results are evident, just an exceptional cruise. Before boarding and during your online checkin, make sure you try and get as many shows as you can in accordance with your dining schedule. If you find out taht some shows are full, do not worry, when you board just go to desk services and they will complete it for you, as we had to do. The folks are very very nice. On this cruise we had MyTime Dining table for two every night. The food was simply very good and service second to none. Our cabin was 7437 interior, roomy and very clean always. The public restrooms are very clean. All in all this was worth every penny and we will book another cruise soon. We have been on all the major cruise lines but we will return with Royal Caribbean. One last thing, do go to the Art Auctions. You will get a free artwork and an education about this fascinating world of Art. You do not have to buy anything but you will see great works of art and get to know a staff of friendly, knowledgeable persons that will answer any and all your questions. Oasis of the Seas is a great value. For 99.99% of the time, it felt like being on land, that's how smooth it travels over the seas. Read Less

We have cruised many cruises and wanted to try one of the mega ships so we booked the Oasis of the Seas. We had a balcony room mid ship on the 8th floor. The entry to the ship went very smoothly and the port staff was very friendly. The ship appeared very clean, some areas of the ship needed updating like the carpet in the cabins was worn and stained We ate in the Salarium Grill upon entering the ship, food was ok and this was one of few places on the ship not too busy. The windjammer was packed no seats available and the food didn't even look good. The food was very disappointing over all for the entire week. For some reason they had a problem where they can't serve the hot food hot it was always luke warm at best. It seemed like the ship was making the food pretty bad to push the specialty restaurants. We tried the Chops Steakhouse on Tuesday Night and the food was pretty good until it came to dessert. After paying $42.00 a person for the specialty experience you expect some great food. Well the steak was good, most sides were pretty good the dessert was just plain awful. The title of the one was a warm cooking plate and instead we got 3 old dried up cookies nothing warm about them. The next dessert we tried was Red Velvet Cake it looked good but it was dry with a horrible taste. Supposed to have cream cheese frosting and it tasted bad. Tables around us ordered similar desserts and all of them looked like ours and were not eaten and returned to the kitchen with 2 or 3 bites taken out of them. The Ship has many activities to do on the ship, the shows were good but organization was a serious issue. They scheduled a trivia session in the Schooners Bar and nobody could hear what the host was saying because they had music blasting in the Promenade that was so loud that nobody could hear what the host was trying to ask. This was a problem numerous times with other events. The problem was a common problem but the cruise director did nothing to reschedule the event in a less chaotic place on the ship. Biggest disappointment was food for sure..... Steve Smith, Knoxville TN Read Less

My wife and I and friends left Port Canaveral on a 7 night stay on the Oasis of the seas. This would be our 6th time on RC ships. We chose the Oasis simply because it was large and convenient to us. We live on the west coast of Fl. Getting on was fairly quick. But once on, we began the arduous task of bumping with 6000 people. We had a difficult time asking for "Mytime" dining times. Probably beause of the amount of people. The first night dining was OK, nothing special. The food was just mediocre. I have a passion for Escargot, but this time, it was chewy, gritty, and a funny taste afterward. Disappointed. The next day there were no usual gang of staff members dancing around the upper deck trying to brighten up a gray day. No waiters with a special drink to offer. Matter of fact, at any time of the trip. The shower was the worst. The mixing valve for hot cold was not working correctly. You wait to get the right mix, then get in, and then ice cold water, then scolding hot. Complained, complained, complained, but never fixed. Always beating around the bush with no resolution. To make a long story (7days) short. I had the worst time on a cruise ship that I ever had. The usual fancy artwork of towels was not cutting it this time. The ship needs more signage, more restrooms, less people or more elevators. We stayed on the 7th deck. If you don't go in the right elevator, you have to go up or down to the next floor, then go up or down to get to your room. (DUMB design) I always cruise RC, but I will never go with them again. Don't waste your money. Read Less

The experience of the Oasis of the Seas and the destination of the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St Marten was everything we hoped for. The Oasis of the Seas was 3 football fields long but it was very easy to get around. We quickly learned all the locations of what we wanted to do on board. The entertainment was top of the line. We loved the Cats performance! We played cards in the card room some afternoons. And loved the dancing in the evening to the Southwest Band in the Dazzles room. Our group of 50 played Miniature Golf and had pictures taken on the Merry-Go-Round. Our shore excursions were very good and we learned so much about the islands. We did some shopping and purchased shirts we will long enjoy. One drawback is all the jewelry stores and the high pressure to purchase something so no fun to even look. There are free Charms in our brochures but they refused to give one to us if we wouldn't let them give us a sale pick for necklaces and rings, etc. Read Less

Too many people on this ship and the amenities cannot accommodate all of those people. You have to make reservations for all shows or you don't get in until the last minute if there are vacancies. Wait staff lacked energy - everything was a chore for them instead of a positive, make me feel like a queen experience. The room was dirty too. Good thing I brought sani-wipes for the remote, phone, etc. We found a dirty sock under the bed and it had been there a good while. The same television shows were repeated every day! Unbelievable - How many times can you watch the same episode of Mike & Molly? No movies shown in the auditorium while at sea. Movies shown on the last 2 days in the aqua theater, but they are kids movies. Ugh! On a positive note, the food was really good and the entertainment was also great. But, we will be stepping down to a mid-sized ship for our next cruise. Read Less

This was our first cruise. Therefore we went thru a travel agent to make sure everything would go smooth and be planned. We chose The Oasis of the Seas due to the reputation and it being a large ship. We had been told in the past that the food was awesome. However, this wasn't our experience. The food was awful. I ordered a steak in the dining hall and it just didn't look like a steak at all. The consistency was mushy to say the least. After that dinner, we resorted to going to the Wind Jammer buffet. Again, the food wasn't great, some was cold, others were greasy. Day to day the selection didn't change much. Due to size of the ship, it took alot of time to check on when dining places were open as they would have scattered hours. So if you find something you like, make sure to know where it is and the hours it is open. I asked about the fabulous desserts and seafood that everyone raves about, and never found them. Until we went to one of the pay restaurants, at that time we experienced a good meal and a great dessert. This is the one we had in the 7 days. If you choose to go on this ship, pay for the upscale restaurants. We also had booked shows before the trip as instructed. However, when it comes down to the shows, anyone can go, and you who reserved in advance will have NO where to sit and have to stand for the show. For example, the water show. We also had a bad experience with guest services. I had cancelled my drink package on the second day of the cruise and it took 5 attempts and trips to guest services to get it straightened out. (I had to go down there to get straightened out, while I was sea sick) Also, as said in earlier review, watch your bill. I followed the steps to take for booking dinners at the pay restaurants. It took me 4 times to get a booking set at the place we wanted. Due to the guest services not completing the reservation correctly after 4 attempts, I didn't get my desired dinner time and had to resort to day we were at port instead of a cruising day like I wanted. So we had to rush back from port to get ready for a 5:30 dinner when I wanted a 7:30 dinner on a cruising day. Ports were good, Bahamas was so-so, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten were good, but time there is short and goes to fast. The cleaning person was wonderful, cabin with balcony was nice. Due to the food and customer service not being good, I wouldn't recommend this boat. I have heard great experiences on other cruise lines. Read Less

We enjoy more days at sea and eastern Caribbean. This time of the year was perfect for our college age daughter's vacation. It was a bit expensive but we were excited about going on Oasis of the Seas. I wish wifi & drink packages would be tailored more for family expenses. The food was great, the entertainment was ok, we attended most of the offered events. It was pretty windy during this week so we didn't experience the aqua show. Our wait staff was great. Overall wonderful experience with Royal Caribbean. Pretty good reputation that you can be loyal with. I would recommend this ship/line to family and friends. The shops were not plentiful as I would have hoped, expected. The shop offerings were ok. Interested in rings but only carried size 7, needed size 9 and wasn't interested to get it sized later. I wonder why they stock only one size? Read Less

The ship is BEAUTIFUL..the staff is great..you cant control weather..having said that: The shore excursion to the Bahamas (Blue Lagoon Beach) was a long boat ride only to be on a beach that looks like a bay (the water is not anywhere close to the normal beauty of Bahamas water)..you only get about an hour of beach time, the lunch attendants watch to make sure you dont get too much food (after youve paid a crazy amount of money), and then its suddenly time to turn right back around and go back! Most of your time is spent in line to get on the boat to and from..overall, the excursions proved to be very disorganized and slow getting started--not worth the money--Abi beach did turn out to be nice, though, once you arrived. The problem with the specialty resteraunts, in particular Chops (with exception of 150 Central Park which is excellent in every way), is the fact that you are seated sandwiched in between other tables that could whisper in your ear without much effort. The table we got put next 2 NEVER stopped talking the entire time..we were miserable--food is good, but if you want a romantic quiet dinner, do not go here. Overall, we had a great time. The ship is one of the best out there, and the staff goes out of their way for you. I would say that being more informed about the resteraunts and excursions would have made this the perfect vacation! I love Royal Caribbean. Read Less

When that didn't work he went ahead and charged 250 dollars to our account cause he claimed he found ashes on our balcony. Good luck keeping your privacy and your money. Nice ship though. The food is good, the excursions are decent but you can get off the sip and find your own excursions just as easy. Little rocky on the way down but its to be expected during this season , once we were in the caribean the cruise was smooth and the weather was great. The casino and entertainment is good The ship is huge so theres plently of places to explore, overall a nice cruise aside from the task master. Royal Carribean is a nice cruise line. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the ports of call! St. Kitts, St. Marteen, Puerto Rico & Labadee, Haiti were all beautiful! Our state room was warm at night, tried twice to get issue resolved but it was never resolved. Embarkation was total chaos from drop off, security & check in. Debarkation was better, but could not find our private transportation & any staff I ask at the terminal was no help at all! We usually cruise out of Galveston (closer to home) and have always had a smooth embarkation & debarkation. Perhaps Port Canaveral should take some lessons from Galveston? We pre-ordered online before we left the discounted wifi package but was not showing on our account. I recommend if you pre-book anything do not do online, call customer service to order. Main dining & Windjammer was okay, but not any different than other cruise lines. The specialty dining was fantastic though! Central Park & Boardwalk was awesome! Shows were good! Read Less

Cruise terminal 1 in Port Canaveral is fantastic! On board the Oasis of the Seas, the food was plentiful and good (as usual). The size of the ship created inconvenient lines, occasional loss of food options (first day out, they ran out of chocolate chip cookies) and "Central Park" balcony was very noisy at times (couldn't hold a normal conversation, and and not very private (lesson learned). Cabin storage for an 8 day cruise was inadequate making room seem cramped. Didn't do many shore excursions as we are frequent cruisers and have done most of the ship sponsored offerings. The zip line on Labadee was, however, a great experience. The shows were exceptional. Not only entertaining, but the athletic nature of most shows (not just the normal singing and dancing shows) on ice, in the water and on the huge stage were Olympic class. Will definitely cruise again with Royal Caribbean but not so big a ship and with outside balcony. Read Less

Sixth cruise (5 on Royal Caribbean). Sailed on the Allure two years ago, so looked forward to the Oasis. To begin, the embark at Port Canaveral was fine but was told that was because we arrived there at 11am. Our rooms were ready by 1pm. Problems started. We had 2 Boardwalk balconies and 1 ocean-facing balcony on the 14th floor. The package stated we would have 2 soda beverage packages were Boardwalk balcony. When we got into the rooms, one room had 1 beverage cup and the other had none. Also, there were 2 brown kiki-type plastic beverage containers in each Boardwalk. We didn't know what those were. Turned out, we FINALLY found someone who could answer our question and they were a promotion. If you used them, you were automatically charged $3.95. No signage on them to indicate this and everyone we asked had no idea what we were referring to. We asked FOUR times to have the balconies between the rooms opened. It finally took a trip to guest services to get it done. Our room attendant kept assuring us it would be taken care of. It was not. Our ocean balcony had barely any water pressure and the safe wasn't working. A quick call to maintenance and they fixed both (maintenance is awesome). The staff at Johnny Rockets for breakfast were rude and lazy. They seemed more interested in conversing and joking with each other than with serving the customers. The food in the MyTime dining. HOW DISAPPOINTING. I agree with the other reviews that state RC is cutting costs with their food. I have never been disappointed with an entree, but one night I ordered the beef stroganoff and it was horrible. Inedible. It was gnarly pieces of cut up steak-like meat that you could barely chew through. I then ordered the pad thai. It wasn't even pad thai! It was some sort of strange noodle with a ton of fish sauce on it. I couldn't eat either. The soups were amazing, but the entrees were disappointing. A lot of cheap pasta and slow-cooked beef. The lobster tails were maybe 2-3 inches in length. VERY small and not tasty. The other major disappointment was the headliner. Usually we enjoy a magician or something....nope this time we had to suffer through an aged group singing ABBA songs. The Cats musical was something to look forward to, but most people walked out of it. The fitness center had a lot of broken equipment, but the fab abs instructors were great! Read Less

We chose Royal Caribbean Cruise line because of past experiences. We were disappointed on the oasis ship. We booked a large Superior Stateroom w/Balcony. Cabin was small compared to other cruises and there was not enough draw space for 2 people. quality of linens, towels and pillows were worn and over used. bathroom smelled of mildew and shower water pressure was barely enough to remove soap from hair and body. We purchased the unlimited alcohol and beverage package so we would not be nickeled and dimmed, and at most of the Bars and restaurants we were told there was additional charges for drinks whether it was for wine or Alcohol and additional gratuities on those up charges. Also on all other cruises we have been on when purchasing the beverage package you in room fridge was at least stocked with water and this was empty. The specialty steak restaurant Chops had an up charge of $42pp to dine and upon ordering a porterhouse steak and not the regular house steak we were told there was an additional charge of $19. We would not mind paying for good quality food but steak was of of extremely poor quality and the meat was tough. Overall this was not the Royal Caribbean Vacation Experience we expected. Read Less

This was a great getaway with family and friends. Chose this instead of Christmas gifts this year. Ship offers amazing venues, especially for young adults/teenagers. Plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied on long sea days. The headliner show, Abbacadabra, was fabulous. Almost thought we were watching the original group! The Ice show and Dive show were even better than on previous cruises. It's the same show, but has been beefed up and was truly well done. Comedy shows were funny though there is some language and adult content so be advised. Our dining staff, Camilo and Leighton, were fabulous. We traveled with our mother who is handicapped, and they went out of their way to accommodate her. A few notes on traveling with mobility limited persons. The staff was great about assisting her on and off the ship. Embarkation and disembarkation was smooth and fast. We rented a scooter which was waiting for her in her room. So glad we did this as it gave her some independence. Some of the doorways were very tight to get a scooter into and some room layouts are better than others to get in and out of. The public bathrooms can be a bit of a maze to navigate, especially at crowded times. We did find other passengers to be exceedingly rude when we were trying to get her around the ship. They would push ahead of her in line and race ahead of her to get on the elevator. I felt like I had to constantly look out for her, and it made it difficult for me to relax and have a good time. This was not RCI's fault, but just had to rant a bit. Crew were always very courteous towards her. Shore excursions are limited for handicapped individuals at some of the ports, so be prepared to make other arrangements. We mostly just went to the port shops. We were able to take her scooter on and off the ship without too much difficulty. There was always a crew member there to assist at the gangway. Read Less

We chose this ship because it was sailing on New Year's Eve. It was festively decorated for the occasion. Pros: Getting on and off the ship was flawless! For the ship to be as big as it is, it was seamless. There is plenty to do on the ship. If you are bored, shame on you! The pools are beautiful and very clean. The towel stations are always open and ready. Starbucks is a real plus. The workers were some of the more pleasant we encountered. The ports were nice except Puerto Rico and we were only there a few hours. The crew did a fabulous job of a "cookout" in Labadee. What a fun day! The specialty restaurants are fabulous! Indulge Great room housekeeping Cons: So many of the store workers and especially the excursion desk people were curt and rude. Avoid them if you can. The food in the dining room is just ok. The servers are superb, but the food is just so so. The amusement arcade room games were not working. You would not redeem your tickets. There was no one around to help. Johnny Rockets is terrible food. The ship appears dirtier than expected for RC. Perhaps too many people...... We will not be going on that ship again. Read Less

This was my 23rd cruise (cruised 10 other times on other lines) with Royal Caribbean which was always my favorite line. However, I am sorry I decided to take a Mega ship this year and because of our experience, I will never take another Mega ship again. The Oasis of the Seas was a fabulous ship, no doubt, but a number of things that Royal Caribbean has been known for suffered because of the masses of people who had to be serviced. Embarkation was a nightmare, which was a continuation of our terrible airport checkin. It used to be that once your bags were on the plane, you never saw them again until they were delivered in front of your cabin on the ship. Imagine our shock when we had to haul our bags through the airport, searching for someone to ask where we should go. We were never told by our Royal Caribbean agent that this would happen at the airport so we were shocked and incredibly disappointed, not to mention exhausted by the time we boarded the ship. Our cabin was comfortable and clean. However, this was the worse food I'd ever eaten on ANY Royal Caribbean ship. It was more like what prisoners call "grub". This was true in both the dining room and the Windjammer. The best things to eat were the rolls and butter and desserts. You often didn't know what the food was in the Windjammer, ugh. There were many foreign dishes which needed and English translation so we'd know what we were eating. Fortunately, service was excellent in our cabin, dining room and Windjammer. It is obvious that Royal is changing it's focus to younger, less discerning passengers who could care less about quality, taste and presentation of their meals. That is so sad but I guess there are just way too many people to care about ambiance and quality. When I spend that much money, I want quality. I can eat tough prime rib, tiny lobsters the size of prawns, and stew at home. Royal Caribbean might find that they are losing many of their seasoned cruisers to the younger, less experienced, less demanding passenger and because of this, they will quickly find themselves on the level with Carnival Cruise Lines. We decided to cruise on the Oasis of the Seas, as this is a bigger ship than the other RCCL ships we have cruised. There are definite advantages to the larger ship, as we had expected. What we did not expect were the disadvantages. One advantage was the opportunity to meet so many different people throughout the eight days of the cruise. There were people of all ages, from infancy through eighty plus years, and lots of nationalities represented. A very diverse group of passengers, indeed! This made for many fun experiences with different people each day. Another advantage is that because the ship is so huge, there were often times that it was hard to believe there were 6300 plus passengers onboard. The size of the ship provided for many features and a variety that a smaller ship could not support. For example, there were two flow riders, a skating rink, zip line, three promenades (standard, Central Park, and the Boardwalk), a large arena for an aqua show, a comedy club, and more, There were disadvantages to being on such a huge ship with so many other passengers. The elevators were constantly clogged. They were often filled to capacity and waiting times were long. The Windjammer was crowded at key times for breakfast and lunch, and tables were hard to come by. It was also a nuisance to have to schedule shows in advance, and often not to be able to get tickets because the tickets had already been taken by other passengers. Our cabin had a ratty sofa, and our stateroom attendant was not very attendant! Our kids a few cabins down, however, had a very attendant attendant. The excursions were ok. Our last excursion was phenomenal. We went on Xplore, the park at Playa del Carmen with zip lines, caves, and amphibious vehicles. I highly recommend it. It is an exhausting, adrenaline filled day - beware! The gym was at least bigger than it is on some other RCCL ships, but many of the treadmills did not work or work properly, and there were way too many passengers working out in the relatively small space provided. The strength training equipment is old and smelly, and there is not nearly enough floor space for strength training or other exercises. Read Less

We choose the ship because of curiosity. We found plenty of things t do, but the constant sales pitches that were ongoing on the promenade was relentless, and not open late or when at a port. The food was delicious but no "midnight buffet". Places to eat closed early and the little places that were available were horrible. Sorrentos pizza tasted like cardboard with melted cheese. Promenade cafe offered little sandwiches that had 1 slim piece of meat. We ordered two and combined them to make one decent sandwich. My wife had one server tell her that if she wanted orange juice with her breakfast she would have to wait till 1130 am as they were closed. Their hours were open till 1100 am, according to our watch it was 1054 am. If you want to go on this ship and don't mind adjusting you time to fit their schedule then you might enjoy the cruise, but my wife and I will not be returning to this ship. Read Less

This was a family Christmas trip. My husband requires an ADA room and the cabin was fabulous (6636). Plenty of room for his mobility scooter and the bathroom--super. Great balcony. The dining in the main dining room (Silk) was great every night we were there. Vintages is a fantastic place for wine and tapas---hardly ever crowded. Chef's Table--wow, the food and wine pairings were unreal!! (But you take a chance on who your dining companions might be--in our case, not fun people but the food and wine made up for it!) Schooner Bar is the best bar on the ship--wait staff learns your name immediately and remembers your usual drinks. They are fantastic--if you see Cory Sawyer or Lonnis or Michael Suah--you know you are in for super service. If you port in Cozumel, DO NOT DO THE SALSA and SALSA excursion! It was a waste of money. We were late leaving, the tour guide (aka a chef aka a salsa dancer aka a taxi getter) does not tell you anything. The place is not air conditioned so if it is warm, you will melt! Jamaica--do not do the shopping excursion--many hours of driving around without really stopping to see anything. Entertainment was not as good on this cruise as our last one. The Headliner show was just okay and it seemed like some of the other shows had lost their quality. Read Less

Our friends suggested we join them as our Christmas gift to each other. Being retired and love to cruise we booked for this eight day cruise. Our cabin was a superior outside balcony and provided much enjoyment for relaxing and reading. The main dining room meals were very nice and adequate. Several specials were suggested each night. The one night at Chops was nice, but I felt it didn't warrant the $40 per person extra charge. The shows were very good. The ice show and Come Fly with Me show were spectacular. The ship is enormous with 6400 passengers, but there was enough space that I didn't feel crowded. There were enough chairs, pools and hot tubs to accommodate the passenger needs. As a Diamond level member we received special perks and the Diamond Lounge provided a level of service above the norm. It was a nice place to go in the morning for a continental breakfast and not be crowded. I was a little disappointed that the small things like shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer wee now eliminated from the rooms. Read Less

Our children and grand kids liked to celebrated Christmas together in a cruise. So we choose Oasis of the Seas because it offers many features on board. We paid more than 4000 dollars for 8 nights including air flights and airport transfer. The cruise fare was more than 400 dollars per night per person, a luxury pricing. We found out late that we had to wait for more than 4 hours at the airport for the first transfer to the ship on 10:30 am. On our return, we had to sign up for an excursion to the Kennedy Space Center during daytime to connect to an evening flight. They allowed us to cancel our airport transfer and the day-time excursion sent us to the airport afterwards. It taught us not to trust them for appropriate arrangements even with a package deal including the cruise, the air flights and the airport transfer. The Oasis of the Seas took in 6500 passengers. The check in was efficient for this large number of people but inevitably long. Ours was one and half hours but our friends spent 2 and half hours and were furious. Our luggage were mis-placed and we found them ourselves. My wife's luggage was damaged and they gave 50 dollars credit only. There were no particular celebration on either December 24 or 25. We were told of a Christmas lunch on Labadee, Haiti. This is a resort developed by Royal Caribbean. We can charge even with our ship card. It turned out to be just an ordinary BBQ. On the ship, you had to pay dearly for water, wine and specialty restaurants. 4 bottles of Evian costed 14 dollars. What is worse, the water from the faucet was not drinkable as advised by the front desk. That was confusing because the ship was equipped with water fountains in the fitness center and the running track. Both were posted with the signs asking us not to drink from the fountain. Still in the dining rooms, we were served with regular ice water. Apparently, they had portable water on the ship but they only provided for their dining rooms but not to us. We went one evening to 150 Central Park. This specialty restaurant charged us 45 dollars for a 3 course meal. This was considered over-priced since we already paid more than 400 dollars per person per day for room and board. There were no laundry room nor iron boards on the ship. Another avenue for them to get money from you. Their shows were very good. We like " Frozen in time" in particular. They also showcase Cats in a full-length production. Their staff were generally well-trained in the restaurants and guest services. Still, the pressure of making revenue was everywhere. We were at a wine-tasting event. At the end of tasting, they offered bottles of wines at deep discount for us to take back. My friend was ready to pay 50 dollars for two bottles. When he was ready to sign the pay slip, he found a charge of 18% gratuity in addition. I showed them my pay slip which did not post the 18% gratuity. My friend ended up not buying. Afterwards, I found in the review of my account that they added the 18% gratuity. They credited me back on that gratuity after my complaints. That wine clerk should be fired as this was cheating clearly. I enjoyed the cruise of the Oasis of the Seas. The charge of more than 400 dollars per person per night was way too expensive even during the peak holiday season. It really should be priced around 150 dollars per person per night. Read Less

Our shore excursion in Cozumel was my favorite. Island roots and cocoa traditions. Some of the other shore excursions were not what we were led to believe. The Jamaica tour started out bad with the busses not being loaded up correctly and people being asked to leave one bus for another and then being brought back to the same bus. Very confusing and gave the impression the tour owner did not know what he was doing. The "Plantation" was over-rated and we were rushed through the fruit presentations. Our cabin help, Phyllis, was just a great asset to our trip. Her smile and great laughter was infectious and made our days even better. Seri was our waiter in the main dining room every evening. He was courteous, caring, and a joy to see every evening. Always asking what we did that day and how we liked it, he was interested and interesting. A wonderful man!! Read Less
